NO ACCIDENT \ I AM REPORTING INACCURATE INFORMATION ON THIS WEBSITE AND CORRESPONDING HONDA WEBSITE REGARDING AIRBAG RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE. THERE ARE NO OPTIONS 2 OR 4 FROM THE HONDA WEBSITE SETUP FOR RECALL. THERE IS NO WAY TO REGISTER THIS VEHICLE FOR AIRBAG REPLACEMENT (AND WE RECENTLY PURCHASED IT USED SO IT MAY NOT BE PROPERLY REGISTERED AT HONDA CORPORATE - THOUGH WE HAVE HAD IT SERVICED AT OUR LOCAL HONDA DEALER). THIS PROCESS OF REGISTERING FOR AIRBAG REPLACEMENT SHOULD BE AVAILABLE 24/7. NO EXCUSES. HONDA IS NOT BEING PROACTIVE. *TR
I WAS GETTING OFF THE OFF RAMP AT ABOUT 35MPH TAKING A RIGHT TURN WHEN THE TRANSMISSION MADE A JERKING MOTION AND SLIPPED. I LET OFF THE ACCEL AND APPLIED THE ACCEL A COUPLE TIMES BEFORE IT ENGAGED AGAIN GOT TO MY DESTINATION WENT SHOPPING. WENT TO LEAVE AND I HAD NO REVERSE. SHIFTED THREW THE GEARS NOTHING. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND ON TO FIND THE I COULD NOW BACK UP. I PUT THE CAR INTO DRIVE TO FIND OUT THE CAR WOULD ONLY DRIVE IN FIRST GEAR ON DRIVE. IT WOULD NOT SHIFT GEARS. I HAVE MY CAR PARKED TILL I FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO AND HOW THIS ISSUE CAN BE RESOLVED. I'M THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THE VEHICLE, AND HAVE ALWAYS USED HONDA FOR SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE OF MY VEHICLE. THE TRANSMISSION FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THANKFULLY, I WASN'T DRIVING IN THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A MAJOR ACCIDENT. MY CAR BASICALLY CAME TO A STOP WHEN THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. I RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION THAT MY VEHICLE WAS AMONG THOSE INCLUDED IN A RECALL FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. AS INSTRUCTED, I CALLED A LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP TO SET UP A TIME TO HAVE THE PART REPLACED. THAT WAS ON FEBRUARY 11, 2015. I WAS TOLD THE PART HAD TO BE ORDERED AND THAT I WOULD BE CONTACTED WHEN I COULD BRING MY CAR IN FOR THE REPAIR. IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN 60 DAYS AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. I DON'T HAVE TIME TO CHASE HONDA TO REPLACE A FAULTY PART ON MY VEHICLE AND I CERTAINLY DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE HAVING ANYONE SIT IN THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MY CAR. IT HAS BECOME AN INCONVENIENCE. *TR
THE SEAT WILL MOVE WHEN STOPPING OR TURNING, WHICH COULD BE A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE LOOKED ON-LINE AND THIS IS APPARENTLY A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL. HONDA WILL CHARGE TO REPLACE THE SEAT RAILS. ACCORDING TO THE ON-LINE COMMENTARY'S, THIS IS ONLY A TEMPORARY FIX. *TR

FIRST, WHEN I STARTED TYPING IN THIS FIELD, THE PAGE RESET AND I HAD TO RE-ENTER THE VIN. SO, PLEASE FIX YOUR WEBPAGE, SO THAT IT DOES NOT CLEAR UNLESS A SUBMIT BUTTON IS DELIBERATELY PRESSED. THE AIRBAG MALFUNCTION LIGHT ON MY HONDA ACCORD COMES ON, AT THE START OF SOME ENGINE RUNS, BEFORE THE VEHICLE IS SET IN MOTION, AND STAYS ON FOR THE DURATION OF THE RUN. AT OTHER TIMES, WHEN THE LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON AT THE ONSET OF A RUN, IT COMES ON WHEN THE SEATBELT IS UNBUCKLED, AND REMAINS ON FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE RUN. THOUGH I WOULD RATHER THAT THE AIRBAG SYSTEM BE PERMANENTLY DISARMED, I AM CONCERNED THAT THE LIGHT WILL COME ON DURING THE ANNUAL SAFETY INSPECTION AND CAUSE MY VEHICLE TO FAIL THE INSPECTION. *TR
SEVERAL YEARS AGO, THE CLEAR COATING ON THE TOP, BACK AREA OF ROOF STARTED PEELING OFF AND THIS YEAR IT BECAME BIGGER ABOUT THE SIZE OF 6 " X 18 " AREA. DESPITE TO MY COMPLAINTS TO HONDA SERVICE DEPT., THE AUTO BODY SHOP SAID IT REQUIRES WHOLE TOP REWORK IS THE ONLY OPTION THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR. LAST JUNE, I REPORTED TO COMPLAIN HONDA SERVICE DEPT MANAGER, I WAS TOLD TO BUY THE PAINT PENS FOR $15.00. EVEN THOUGH I BOUGHT IT, I HAVE NOT APPLY IT YET BECAUSE THE PROBLEM REQUIRES PROFESSIONAL WORK TO BE DONE. I REQUESTED THAT HONDA IS TO BE RESPONSIBLE TO COVER THE WORK EXPENSES, NOT ME. AFTER THE SERVICE MANAGER TOOK THE PICTURES OF IT, HE CLAIMED HE WILL SEND PAPERWORK TO HOME OFFICE FOR REVIEW. I REQUESTED SEVERAL TIMES FOR A COPY OF PAPERWORK TO PROVE HIS CLAIM HE HAD PROCESSED THE PAPERWORK WITH PHOTOS. HE NEVER GIVE TO ME. ONLY HE CLAIMED HE HAS NOT HEARD FORM CORPORATE OFFICE. OUR LAST CONTACT IS LAST AUGUST. I RESEARCHED RECALL AND LEARNED THAT CIVICS ARE THE ONLY ONE BEING RECALLED FOR BAD PAINTING JOB. I REQUEST FOR AN INVESTIGATION THAT HONDA SHOULD RECALL FOR ACCORD 2003 PAINTING JOB, NOT JUST THE CIVICS! FOR A YEAR IN 2015, I HAVE BEEN REPORTING TO HONDA SERVICE DEPT. THAT MY THREE WARNING LIGHTS, ALL IN BRIGHT YELLOWISH ORANGE COLOR ON THE DASHBOARD ALWAYS ARE LIT ON AFTER STARTING THE CAR. THE SYMBOLS ARE ABS, TRIAGNLE WITH !, AND TCS. I STATED I AM CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY AND REQUESTED THAT LIGHTS TO WORK PROPERLY AND HAVE IT LOOKED AT. I TRY TO REMEMBER THEIR ADVISEMENT IS THAT ITS MINOR ELECTRONIC THING AND NOT TO WORRY ABOUT IT ( SENSOR OR ANOTHER WORDING). I DEMAND THAT HONDA TO RECALL AND FIX IT FOR FREE AS IT IS NOT MY FAULT THAT ELECTRONIC THING NOT WORKING. I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM HONDA STATING THAT THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER AIRBAG WAS DEFECTIVE AND COULD DEPLOY ABNORMALLY CAUSING METAL FRAGMENTS TO PASS THROUGH THE AIRBAG CUSHION MATERIAL CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR FATALITY TO VEHICLE OCCUPANTS. I CALLED THE HONDA DEALER TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE IT REPAIRED AT NO COST AS INDICATED IN THEIR LETTER. HOWEVER THEY CANNOT HAVE IT REPAIRED BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS. IT HAS BEEN TWO WEEKS SINCE I FIRST CALLED THEM AND EVERY TIME I FOLLOW UP THEIR ANSWER IS THAT PARTS HAVE BEEN ORDERED AND THEY HAVE NO INDICATION WHEN IT WILL ARRIVE. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE APPROXIMATELY 2 YEARS AGO. SINCE I BOUGHT IT, THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN "SOFT." IN ORDER TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP I HAVE TO PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR. IT FEELS SQUISHY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN A THIRD TIME TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V222000 (STEERING). THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. I RECENTLY PURCHASED THE 2003 HONDA ACCORD FOR TRAVEL. AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE I NOTICED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. THE MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS A TORQUE CONVERTER THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AFTER DOING ADDITIONAL RESEARCH I FOUND THAT OTHER HONDA OWNERS HAD THIS SAME ISSUE. MY CAR RUMBLES WHEN DRIVING THROUGH RESIDENTIAL AREAS. 2003 HONDA ACCORD. CONSUMER STATES CAR STOPPED WHILE DRIVING DUE TO TRANSMISSION FAILURE. *TA THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE JUST STOPPED. WE WERE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN WE HEARD A LOUD CRASHING SOUND ABOVE OUR HEADS. WE PULLED OVER AND DISCOVERED THE SUNROOF HAD EXPLODED. THERE WAS NOT ANY INCLEMENT WEATHER NOR WAS THERE A OBJECT THAT HIT IT. IT EXPLODED AND SHATTERED FROM THE MIDDLE. ALTHOUGH SOME DEALERSHIPS REPLACED THE SUNROOF FOR FREE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE IF GLASS EXPLODES ABOVE YOUR HEAD WHILE DRIVING. IT'S ALSO NOT AN INSURANCE ISSUE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 HONDA ACCORD EQUIPPED WITH WINRUN R380 TIRES (NA), SIZE: 215/60R16 (NA). WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE TIRES SHOOK AND VIBRATED. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT BOTH FRONT TIRES WERE WORN DOWN TO THE THREADS. THE TIRES WERE NOT REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 199,100 AND THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,100.

MY 2003 HONDA ACCORD EX V-6 HAS 229000 MILES AND IS NEED OF ITS FOURTH SET OF ENGINE/MOTOR MOUNTS. I HAVE OWNED SEVERAL ACCORDS AND HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM. THE CAR JERKS UPON TAKE OFF AND MAKES GRINDING SOUNDS WHEN DECELERATING . ALSO, THE CAR SQUEAKS, MOANS, AND GROANS WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE LEFT AND RIGHT TURNS. MY MECHANIC TOLD ME IT IS RARE FOR A CAR TO NEED MOTOR MOUNTS SO OFTEN FOR A VEHICLE. DUE TO THE BROKEN MOTOR MOUNTS, THE CAR'S OIL PAN HAS BEGUN TO LEAK DUE TO MOVEMENT OF THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION AND POWER STEERING FLUIDS ARE LEAKING DUE TO THE MOVEMENT. ALSO, MY AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT TURNS ON INTERMITTENTLY. I HAVE CHECKED SEVERAL TIMES AND MY CAR IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL, BUT IT DOES CONCERN ME. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS AGAINST HONDA FOR THIS PROBLEM.
