MALFUNCTIONING PARTS
SUN ROOF WINDOW SHATTERED WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY AT ABOUT 65MPH. THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF AN OBJECT STRIKING OR HITTING IT, JUST A POP AND A SUDDEN RUSH OF AIR THAT INCREASED AS THE OPENING IN THE SHATTERED SAFETY GLASS GREW LARGER. LUCKLY THE INSIDE COVER WAS CLOSED, SO THAT THE GLASS SHARDS DID NOT DROP ONTO ME WHILE DRIVING DURING THE MORNING COMMUTE ON A BUSY FREEWAY. I WAS VERY SURPRISED THAT THE WINDOW DID NOT HAVE ANY LAMINATION ON IT TO KEEP IT FROM FALLING INTO SHARDS. THE WEATHER WAS RAINING AND ABOUT 45 DEGREES F, BUT I DID NOT HIT A POT HOLE OR HEAR/SEE ANY DEBRIS HIT THE CAR. I HAVE HAD NO PREVIOUS ISSUES WITH THIS WINDOW. THE HONDA DEALERSHIP SAID THERE WERE NO SAFETY RECALLS INVOLVING THIS WINDOW AND THAT THEY WOULD NOT COVER ANYTHING RELATED TO THIS OVER 3 YEARS OLD. THE COST TO REPAIR WAS QUOTED AT $468. THE CAR WAS HAIL DAMAGED TWO YEARS AGO, BUT I BELIEVE IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS EVENT SINCE TEMPERED GLASS JUST COMPLETELY SHATTERS IF DAMAGED.
AIRBAG GOT STUCK ON DEPLOY DURING A DRIVER'S SIDE COLLISION THIS MORNING. VEHICLE WAS TURNING LEFT WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE HIT IT. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE RICK CASE HONDA COLLISION CENTER IN WESTON, FL (JUST OUTSIDE FORT LAUDERDALE). THE LOWER AIRBAG IN THE SEAT BELT HOLDER DEPLOYED AND SOMETHING CUT THE DRIVER'S ARM.
AIR BAG LIGHT SHOWING ON DASHBOARD AND CAN NOT PASS INSPECTION
THE AIRBAG LIGHT ( ON DASH) IS ON, SOMETIMES IT GOES OFF THEN COMES BACK ON
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V182000 (AIR BAGS). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FLOW HONDA OF BURLINGTON (336-584-4870, LOCATED AT 2920 S CHURCH ST, BURLINGTON, NC 27215) WHERE THE TECHNICIAN REPAIRED THE RECALL, BUT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG INDICATOR COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT PROVIDED. *BF *TR
PASSENGER SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOYED WHEN I HIT A POTHOLE. LEFT FRONT TIRE HIT POT HOLE. WHEEL WAS DAMAGED. TIRE IMMEDIATELY DEFLATED. THERE WAS NO COLLISION
WARNING LIGHT STAYS ON WHILE DRIVING
POWER STEERING HOSE RECALL. TOOK VEHICLE TO HODA DEALERSHIP TO FIX DAMAGED HOSE FOR THE RECALL. LEAKING HOSE CAUSED PUMP TO MALFUNCTION DUE TO NOT ENOUGH FLUID OR PRESSURE GOING OR PRESSURE GOING INTO PUMP. DEALERSHIP SERVICE DETERMINED THAT THE HOSE WAS THE CAUSE OF THE PUMP LEAK. I HAVE THE REPORT FROM HONDA STATING THEY ARE AT FAULT FOR THE POWER STEERING PUMP FAILURE. I AM NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER SO I FOUND OUT ABOUT THE RECALL AFTER SMOKE APPEARED ON THE HOOD OF MY VEHICLE. HONDA DID AN INVESTIGATION AND DENIED ANY REPAIRS ON THE PUMP. HONDA ONLY FIXED HOSE AND TRIED UP SELLING THE REPAIRS FOR THE PUMP.
THE POWER STEERING HOSE HAS DEVELOPED A LEAK WHICH IS CAUSING P OWER STEERING FLUID TO LEAK ONTO HOT ENGINE PARTS RESULTING IN SPOKE IN THE INTERIOR AND ENGINE BAY. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM ON V6 MODELS BUT NOT THE V4 LIKE I HAVE.
TAKATA RECALL. WHILE DRIVING ON A PAVED ROAD THE PASSENGER SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND THE AIRBAG IN THE SIDE OF THE PASSENGER SEAT. THERE WAS NO COLLISION. HONDA AND MY INSURANCE INSPECTED THE CAR AND FOUND IT WAS A MECHANICAL PROBLEM.

2003 V-6 HONDA ACCORD. CONSUMER WRITES WITH CONCERNS TO POSSIBLE AIRBAG RECALL FOR VEHICLE. *AS *JS
I HAD A BLOW OUT AND PASSENGER AIRBAGS CAME OUT AND SEATBELT LOCKED UP. DRIVING ABOUT 40 MILES ON A STRAIGHT AWAY.
The passenger air bag indicator light stays illuminated. The car has been taken to several different mechanics who temporarily are able to make the light go away but that say that this is an issue they have seen with different 2006 Honda Accords and the it is a defective factory sensor. Tony Honda in Oahu HI has said that because they do not show a recall for this vehicle, it would be an out of pocket cost. It seems that this is a safety issue because it is unsure whether there is a problem with the airbag itself and not just the sensor. Please advise

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BURNS HONDA (325 RT. 73 N., MARLTON, NJ) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SEAT TRACK AND CLIPS WERE FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 33,000.
VEHICLE BEGAN LEAKING POWER STEERING (P/S) FLUID WHILE IN USE, VEHICLE BEGAN TO MAKE NOISE ASSOCIATED WITH LOW P/S FLUID. PROBLEM WITH POWER STEERING HOSE FEED LINE LEAKING P/S FLUID WHICH IS THEN SPREADING TOWARDS HOT COMPONENTS ASSOCIATED WITH VEHICLE EXHAUST SYSTEM. NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER#12V222000 SHOULD BE EVALUATED AND EXPANDED TO THE 2006 HONDA ACCORD 2.4 L 4-CYCLINDER VEHICLES THAT ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES AS THE V6 MOTORS.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A U-TURN, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE DAY AFTER THE FAILURE, THE CONTACT NOTICED DROPS OF POWER STEERING FLUID ON THE PAVEMENT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE BEGAN APPROXIMATELY ONE MONTH AGO, BUT SUBSIDED AFTER POWER STEERING FLUID WAS ADDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 145,000.
TAIL LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING, PASSENGER AND BOTH BACK WINDOWS WONT ROLL DOWN...FROM FORUMS I'VE READ THIS IS COMMON. HONDA NEEDS TO ISSUE A RECALL AND FIX THIS FOR EVERYONE!! ALSO ANYONE ELSE HAVE TO REPLACE WIPER LINKAGE DUE TO THE EXCESSIVE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WHEN THEY SLAM DOWN, THEY'VE DONE THIS SINCE BOUGHT THE CAR OFF THE LOT BRAND NEW!
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNED A 2006 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH AND APPROACHING A STOP SIGN, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED UNINTENTIONALLY AND CRASHED INTO THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED NORMALLY, BUT THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED VIOLENTLY, SENDING METAL FRAGMENTS IN THE AIR. THE FRAGMENTS STRUCK THE CONTACT'S FACE AND LEFT ARM. THE CONTACT ALSO SUFFERED LACERATIONS ON THREE VERTEBRAE. THE CONTACT WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL, BUT WAS TREATED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND RELEASED AT THE SCENE. POLICE REPORT NUMBER: PD180319103949 WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN IMPOUND LOT AND DEEMED TOTALED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 15V370000 (AIR BAGS) AND 15V320000 (AIR BAGS). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO THE AIR BAG RECALL LINE AND WAS ADVISED TO SEEK LEGAL ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
AIR BAGS POPPED OUT CAUSING DAMAGE TO MY DAUGHTERS FACE AND BURNS TO HER ARMS AND OTHER BODILY DAMAGES. THE CAR BARELY HIT THE WALL AND THE BAGS WENT OFF. WE WERE AT HOME. MY DAUGHTER WAS TREATED TWICE (ADMITTED AT THE TRAUMA UNIT FOR 3 DAYS). SPEECH THERAPY IS REQUIRED FOR THE FACIAL TRAUMA AND ORTHODONTIST WAS NEEDED FOR A BROKEN TOOTH AND WIRE FROM HER BRACES JAMMED IN HER JAW.
HEADLIGHTS AND THE HEADLIGHT LENS FOR THIS CAR ARE SO DIM THAT DRIVING AFTER DUSK IS NOT SAFE. I'VE REPLACED THE BLUBS TWICE AND HAD THE CAR SERVICED FOR THIS PROBLEM WITH NO SUCCESS.

NONE OF THE WINDOWS WILL ROLL DOWN CHECKED FUSES AND WAS TOLD THERE IS NO PROBLEM EXCEPT WINDOWS NOT ROLLING DOWN IS A MAJOR PROBLEM IN CASE OF A WRECK TO WHERE SOMEONE WOULD NEED TO GET OUT OF A WINDOW HAVE CHILDREN WHO NEED TO HAVE WINDOWS ROLLED DOWN FOR VENTILATION BECAUSE OF CAR SICKNESS I HAVE READ THAT MANY OF THESE HONDAS HAVE THIS PROBLEM WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED THROUGH THE RECALL SYSTEM

I HAVE EVEN READ OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT ERRATIC DEPLOYMENT IN 2006 MODELS IN NHTSA FILES. THERE WAS NO COLLISION, ONLY A CHUCK HOLE WHICH PROMPTED THE TIRE FAILURE. I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY NEAR ATHENS, OHIO. HIT AN UNAVOIDABLE POTHOLE, THE TIRE BLEW OUT IMMEDIATELY, THE RIGHT SIDE AIR CURTAINS DEPLOYED. THE AIRBAG INDICATOR (SRS) COMES OFF AND ON WHILE DRIVING FOR THE PAST TWO MONTHS. THIS HAS OCCURRED WHEN THE CAR HAS IMMEDIATELY STARTED OR DRIVING ON THE STREET, AND HIGHWAY. I WENT TO JOHN EAGLE HONDA ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 20TH. I WAS TOLD THEY RESET THE SENSOR. IT HAS COME ON AT LEAST 4 TIMES SINCE THEN .IT CAME ON TWICE TODAY. I WAS ATTEMPTING TO BRING IT TO JOHN EAGLE HONDA AT 6PM TODAY 1/25/2018, BUT JESSIE SAID THERE WERE NO TECHNICIANS TO LOOK AT IT. I'M RETURNING THE CAR BACK TO JOHN EAGLE HONDA ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 26TH.
"TAKATA RECALL" I WAS DRIVING MY CAR HONDA ACCORD 2006, ON THE FREEWAY OAKLAND CA, 580 GOING EASTBOUND , AT OR AROUND 55-65 MPH SPEED. OUT OF NO WHERE THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED ON ITS OWN. FORTUNATELY WE DIDN'T GET INTO ANY FATAL ACCIDENT, ME , MY WIFE ([XXX]) AND MY 3 1/2 YEARS OLD SON ([XXX]) WERE IN THE CAR, MY WIFE SUFFERED MINOR INJURY , WE CALLED 911 AND CHP ARRIVED . THE TOWING COMPANY COULDN'T FIND A TOW TRUCK SO WE HAD TO TELL CHP OFFICER TO GET US A TOWING COMPANY... WE CONTACTING HONDA AND THEY BEEN JUST GIVING US DIFFERENT DATES AND DELAYING THE PROCESS.. TAKATA RECALL
ON 26OCT17, I WAS DRIVING MY HONDA ACCORD 2006 WITH 171,000 MILES AND CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. I PREPARED TO MAKE A LEFT TURN AND ENGAGED THE CLUTCH. THE VEHICLE ENTERED INTO THE HIGHWAY ABOUT 5 FEET WHEN A LARGE POP/THUD WAS HEARD WITH SOME SLIGHT METALLIC GRINDING NOISES. THE CAR DRIFTED BACKWARDS SINCE I WAS ON A SLIGHT INCLINE. FORTUNATELY THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC TO MY LEFT OR BEHIND ME. I DRIFTED BACKWARDS APPROXIMATELY 50 FEET AND BACKED INTO A PLAYGROUND PARKING LOT ON MY RIGHT. I PARKED THE CAR AND MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO MOVE FORWARD AND ENGAGE THE CLUTCH. THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE AND THE CLUTCH WOULD NOT WORK. I CALLED MY LOCAL AUTO CLUB FOR ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE. THE AUTO CLUB TOWED THE VEHICLE TO MY LOCAL MECHANIC. THE NEXT DAY MY MECHANIC CALLED ME AND REPORTED THAT MY CLUTCH WAS FINE BUT MY LEFT FRONT AXLE WAS BROKEN. THE MECHANIC REPAIRED THE VEHICLE AND TOLD ME HE REPORTED THE INCIDENT TO HONDA. THE MECHANIC WAS ASKED IF ANYONE WAS INJURED OR KILLED. THE MECHANIC REPORTED THAT THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND HONDA TOLD HIM THAT THEY WERE NOT OBLIGATED TO REPORT THE PROBLEM. MY MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT HE WAS PERSONALLY AWARE OF OTHER OLDER HONDA VEHICLES THAT ALSO HAD BROKEN AXLES. THE MECHANIC SHOWED ME THE BROKEN AXLE. THE MECHANIC INDICATED THAT THE RUBBER COVERING OVER THE AREA AFFECTED ALLOWS WATER/MOISTURE TO ACCUMULATE AND CORRODE THE AXLE. HE NOTED THAT THE NEW AXLE DOES NOT HAVE THE SAME COVERING. THE MECHANIC FELT IT WAS A DESIGN FLAW AND WAS NOT AWARE OF ANY WARNINGS/RECALLS FROM HONDA. I HAVE ATTACHED A COPY OF THE REPAIR NEEDED FOR THIS INCIDENT.
TAKATA RECALL OUR HONDA ACCORD WAS IN A ACCIDENT REAR-ENDING ANOTHER VEHICLE ON OCT.17TH 2017. THE POLICE REPORT INDICATED THE HONDA WAS MOVING AT ABOUT 50 MPH AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY UPON IMPACT. THE AIR BAGS ON BOTH PASSENGER AND DRIVER ARE STILL INTACT.

"TAKATA RECALL" THE ALARM DOES NOT SOUND WHEN PRESSING THE ALARM BUTTON . WINDSHIELD WIPERS ARM THAT HOUSE THE WIPERS BROKE.

ALSO, A KNOCKING NOISE WAS PRESENT COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V395000 (POWER TRAIN). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
COLD AIR NO LONGER COMING OUT FROM DRIVERS SIDE VENTS LOOKING ONLINE THIS APPEARS TO BE COMMON FOR THE HONDA ACCORD BUT DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE A RECALL WHY?
CAR WILL NOT START INTERMITTENTLY. DEALER COULD NOT FIND ANY PROBLEM. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT 5 WEEKS. IS THERE A RECALL OF THE IGNITION?
WITHIN 4 MONTHS FOLLOWING THE LAST TWO OIL CHANGES, THE LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT WILL COME ON WHILE DRIVING. OIL IS TWO QTS LOW. NO INDICATION OF LEAK, BURNING OR IN RADIATOR. NOT SURE WHY USING OIL WITH NO INDICATION. MECHANIC STATES IT IS NORMAL TO USE OIL AND NEEDS TO BE ADDED BETWEEN OIL CHANGES.
