TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V346000 (AIR BAGS). THE CONTACT CALLED RICK CASE HONDA (15700 RICK CASE HONDA WAY, DAVIE, FL 33331, (954) 388-1035) TO HAVE THE VEHICLE SERVICED FOR THE RECALL TWICE. BOTH TIMES THE CONTACT CALLED, HE WAS INFORMED BY A REPRESENTATIVE THAT SOMEONE WOULD CALL HIM BACK TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. THE CONTACT HAD YET TO HEAR BACK FROM THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE FRONT PASSENGER TIRE DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE BALL JOINT WAS LOOSE AND CAUSED THE TIRE TO SEPARATE FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
ON 4/5/19, MY WIFE'S HONDA PILOT EX EXPERIENCED SEVERE ENGINE PROBLEMS ON THE ROAD IN FAIRVIEW TN RESULTING IN AN INABILITY TO ACCELERATE, HESITATION WHEN THE GAS PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, AND A FLASHING 'CHECK ENGINE' LIGHT. THESE SYMPTOMS WERE IDENTICAL TO AN ISSUE SHE HAD WITH THIS VEHICLE IN 2017 THAT NECESSITATED A TOW TO DARRELL WALTRIP HONDA IN FRANKLIN TN FOR REPAIR, AND SIMILAR TO LESS SEVERE EPISODES OF HESITANT ACCELERATION BOTH SHE AND I HAVE EXPERIENCED WITH THE VEHICLE SINCE AT LEAST 2016. GRASSLAND CAR CARE CENTER IN FRANKLIN TN DIAGNOSED THE SPARK PLUGS WERE OIL FOULED CAUSING A MISFIRE. ENGINE CODES P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, AND P0300 RESULTED FROM THE INCIDENT. WE HAVE SINCE LEARNED THIS IS A KNOWN DEFECT WITH THIS MODEL OF HONDA AND THAT THE VCM-2 CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT RESULTED IN A WARRANTY EXTENSION OF EIGHT YEARS FROM PURCHASE DATE. WE HAVE AN OPEN CASE WITH HONDA OF AMERICA (CASE MANAGER: ZOE; CASE #09478660), BUT ARE BEING TOLD THAT OUR VEHICLE IS OUTSIDE THE EXTENDED EIGHT YEAR WARRANTY BY FOUR MONTHS. WE CONTEND THIS VEHICLE WAS EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS CONSISTENT WITH THE WARRANTIED ISSUE WELL BEFORE THE 4/5/19 FAILURE, TO INCLUDE THE SAME TYPE OF EPISODE SUPPOSEDLY REPAIRED BY DARRELL WALTRIP HONDA ON 5/1/17. THE SUDDEN INABILITY TO ACCELERATE ON A ROADWAY IS A CONSIDERABLE SAFETY CONCERN. WE ARE QUESTIONING WHY THIS WASN'T A SAFETY RECALL ITEM. WE HAVE ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTATION AVAILABLE IF NEEDED.
WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED (55 MPH) AND THEN SLOWING DOWN FOR TRAFFIC, THE VARIABLE TIMING CONTROL ACTUATOR APPARENTLY STUCK. THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON FOLLOWED BY WHITE SMOKE FROM THE TAILPIPES. THERE WAS AN IMMEDIATE LACK OF POWER TRYING TO ACCELERATE AGAIN. THIS CONTINUED UNTIL THE CAR WAS AT A SERVICE SHOP. THE MECHANIC INDICATED THE ENGINE WENT FROM 6 CYLINDERS TO 3 CYLINDERS (ECO MODE) BUT NEVER RECOVERED. THE TROUBLE CODE WAS: P3400 MEANS THAT THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) HAS DETECTED AN ABNORMALITY IN THE CYLINDER DEACTIVATION SYSTEM FOR ENGINE BANK ONE. BANK 1 DENOTES THE BANK OF THE ENGINE WHICH CONTAINS THE NUMBER ONE CYLINDER. THIS PROBLEMS APPEARS TO BE THE SAME AS PREVIOUSLY REPORTED BY OTHER CONSUMERS. HONDA NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE AND RECALL THE VTC ACTUATORS.
TAKATA RECALL WAS DONE DEC 08,2018. ABOUT 2 MONTH LATER MY AIR BAG LIGHT WAS COMING ON ONCE IN A WHILE, IT'S BEEN GETTING WORSE, NOW AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON CONSTANTLY, EVERYTIME CAE IS RUNNING. I AM WANDERING IF THIS PROBLEM IS DUE TO A RECALL?
ENGINE MAKES LOUD RATTLE FOR APPROXIMATELY 2-3 SECONDS ON COLD STARTUP. RESEARCH INDICATES THAT PROBLEM COULD LEAD TO CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. HONDA HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THIS AS A PROBLEM, HOWEVER IS NOT OFFERING TO FIX IT. OUT OF POCKET COST IS AROUND $800, AND CONSUMERS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS WHEN IT IS A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING UNKNOWN SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME UNCONTROLLABLE. THE STEERING WHEEL FAILED AND TURNED IN A CIRCLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO POHANKA HONDA (1772 RITCHIE STATION CT, CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD 20743, (301) 899-7800). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
PASSENGER AIR BAG IS ALWAYS LIT ( OFF) WHENEVER THE IGNITION IS TURNED ON..ALARM IS ALARM ON ( LIGHT) WHETHER ITS STATIONARY OR CAR IS IN MOTION..EVENTHOUGH THERE IS A PASSENGER SITTING, PASSENGER AIRBAG IS ALWAYS LIGHTING ( FLASHING)...HONDA DEALER SAYS THAT I HAVE TO PAY TO RESET OR DIAGNOSTIC IS DONE..
MY ENGINE MAKES A LOUD RATTLING SOUND FOR 2-3 SECONDS AFTER A COLD START-UP, ESPECIALLY AFTER THE CAR SAT OVERNIGHT. AFTER 2-3 SECONDS, THE SOUND GOES AWAY. ACCORDING TO HONDA TSB, THE VTC ACTUATOR IS FAULTY AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. IF LEFT UNTREATED, THE TIMING CHAIN CAN BE STRETCHED WHICH LEADS TO REDUCED FUEL ECONOMY AND POSSIBLY OTHER ENGINE PROBLEMS. UP TO THE TIME OF THIS COMPLAINT, HONDA HAS NOT YET ISSUED ANY RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. MY HONDA DEALER QUOTED ME $680 TO REPLACE THE VTC ACTUATOR. MY VEHICLE'S WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED SO IF I WANT TO HAVE IT REPLACED, I WILL HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. I REALLY LOVE MY ACCORD. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY A BIG AUTO MANUFACTURER LIKE HONDA HASN'T DONE ANYTHING, GIVEN THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WHICH HAPPENS TO MANY VEHICLES ALREADY.
TAKATA RECALL: I WAS DRIVING AND WAS IN AN ACCIDENT WHERE TRAFFIC STOPPED AND I REAR ENDED THE TRUCK IN FRONT OF ME. MY CAR'S FRONT END WAS SMASHED IN ALMOST TO THE DASH. I ESTIMATE MY SPEED AT 25MPH. THE DRIVER AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY AND MY CHEST HIT THE STEERING WHEEL. I AM SUFFERING FROM A FRACTURED XIPHOID PROCESS.
HEARD A WHIRRING NOISE AND SMOKE STARTED COMING OUT OF THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY ENGINE, MY RACK N PINION POWER STEERING WAS LEAKING AND MY CAR ALMOST CAUGHT ON FIRE. HAD THE CAR TOWED TO MY MECHANIC AND HE STATED THERE IS A CRACK IN THE RACK N PINION WHICH IS LEAKING FLUID, ESTIMATED 600-1200 DOLLARS TO FIX IT. I LOOKED ONLINE AND THERE WAS A PREVIOUS RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM ON ANOTHER YEAR BUT NOT THE 2011.

PARAGON HONDA (5706 31ST AVE, WOODSIDE, NY 11377, 718-507-3950) WAS CONTACTED MORE THAN FIVE TIMES AND STATED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHEN THE MANUFACTURER WOULD PROVIDE THE PART TO SCHEDULE THE RECALL REPAIR APPOINTMENT. THE DEALER KEPT STATING THAT THEY WOULD FOLLOW-UP WITHIN 24 TO 48 HOURS, BUT NEVER DID. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
ROUGH SHIFT FROM 2ND TO 1ST GEAR ONLY WHEN DOWNSHIFTING ON AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER (CARBONE HONDA OF YORKVILLE, 5009 COMMERCIAL DR, YORKVILLE, NY 13495, (315) 790-6106) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
MY CAR STARTED HAVING PROBLEM WHEN I PURCHASED IT IN 2011. THE CAR WOULD RUN SLUGGISH. I TOOK IT IN FOR SCHEDULE MAINTENANCE AND COMPLAINED ABOUT THE PROBLEM. I WAS GIVEN THE RUN AROUND FOR THE LAST 7 YEARS. I COMPLAINED IT WAS A DEFECT FROM THE BEGINNING. FINALLY THE CAR STARTED TO MAKE RATTLING SOUNDS. I TOOK IT IN AND WAS TOLD I HAD AN OIL LEAK. I WAS FURIOUS AND TOLD THEM THAT IT IS THAT SAME [XXX] PROBLEM I HAD FOR 7 YEARS. MY CAR HAS 80000 MILES. THE DEALER THAN TOLD ME I NEEDED TO CHANGE TRANS OIL. I BEEN BRINGING IN MY CAR FOR MAINTENANCE FOR THE LAST 7 YEARS AND NEVER DID ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT OIL LEAKS AND TRANS OIL ISSUES. I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SLUGGISH PERFORMANCE AND THEY COMPLETELY IGNORED THIS ISSUE. THEY KEPT THE CAR AND FINALLY FOUND OUT THE PROBLEM MY CAR HAD FOR 7 YEARS. IT HAD A BAD TIMING BELT. I TOLD THEM IT WAS A DEFECT FROM THE FACTORY AND IT SHOULD BE COVERED THROUGH MY WARRANTY. THE CAR WAS SOLD TO ME DEFECTED! THE DEALER TOLD IT WILL NOT COVER THE COST TO FIX IT. I PAID FOR IT AND NOW THE CAR RUNS PERFECT. I AM WRITING TO YOU BECAUSE I SHOULD NOT HAVE PAID TO FIX THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THE CAR HAD A DEFECT FROM THE BEGINNING. I HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME WITH THIS ISSUE. AGAIN I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND THE DEALER DID NOTHING TO HELP ME. I AM GOING TO WRITE TO HONDA AND COMPLAIN ALSO TO THEM. ALERT: SIDE AIRBAG OFF
THE ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINTS MOVED INTO THE FORWARD POSITION FOR NO APPARENT REASON (I.E., THERE WAS NO REAR COLLISION). IT HAPPENED FIRST WITH THE DRIVER'S SEAT AND SEPARATELY, AT SOME LATER POINT, WITH THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SEAT. THE RESTRAINTS WERE SUPPOSED TO AUTOMATICALLY MOVE BACK TO THEIR NORMAL POSITION (ACCORDING TO THE OWNER'S MANUAL), BUT THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN - THEY REMAINED LOCKED IN THE FORWARD POSITION. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO SCHAUMBURG HONDA IN ILLINOIS AND THE TECHNICIAN SAID THAT THE SEAT FRAMES SHOULD BE REPLACED. HE SAID THE PROBLEM INDICATED THAT THE ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINTS MIGHT FAIL TO WORK PROPERLY IN A COLLISION. I DECIDED TO REPORT THIS BECAUSE IT COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE FOR OTHER DRIVERS WITH SIMILAR HONDA MODELS/SEAT FRAMES.
THE CAR HAVE A CROWS FEET CRACKS ALL OVER AND WENT TO MEL RAPTON HONDA BODY SHOP AND SAID THAT THE CAR HAVE A PROBLEM WITH PAINT FROM FACTORY , NOTHING FROM HONDA RECALLS REGARDING THE PROBLEM , NO ONE WANTS TO HELP , THIS IS THE LAST HONDA CAR WILL BUY IN OUR FAMILY

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.

NOTICE LARGE AMOUNT OF PAINT CHIPPING OFF WHILE DRIVING AND WHILE PARKED AND WASHING IT WITH WATER HOSE. IT'S NOTICEABLY A BAD PAINT JOB BECAUSE IT'S JUST 7 YEARS OLD WITH LARGE PAINT PATCHES CHIPPING OFF.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DIAGNOSED FOR CATALYTIC CONVERTER . IS THIS PREMATURE OR DEFECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR 5 YEARS AND 100,000 MILES ? BACK FIRES AT START AND BACK FIRES AT STOPPING . MISFIRE /BACK FIRE HAS BEEN CONSTANT FOR YEARS .
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STRUCK ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BACK AND NECK INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000. *TT UPDATED 8/27/18*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE UNLOADING THE TRUNK, IT INDEPENDENTLY SHUT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO POWAY HONDA (13747 POWAY ROAD, POWAY, CA 92064) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ROD FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 76,000.
WATER LEAK IN THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR. ANYTIME IT RAINS, WATER LEAKS THROUGH THE TOP SECTION OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG AND STARTS DRIPPING.
I AM STATIONED IN GERMANY AND HAVE HAD THE AIR BAG RECALL FIXED ON MY 2011 HONDA ACCORD. IT SHOWS AS CLEARED IN THE HONDA EUROPE TRACKING SYSTEM (PDF ATTACHED) BUT STILL SHOWS AS OPEN IN THE HONDA USA AND SAFECAR,GOV SYSTEMS. I HAVE OPENED A CASE WITH HONDA USA PDF ATTACHED BUT I CAN'T SEEM TO GET THE ISSUE RESOLVED. MY MAIN WORRY IS I'LL BE RETURNING TO THE US ON 8 DEC 17 AND THE SHIPPER WON'T SHIP THE VEHICLE IF THERE ARE OPEN RECALLS. FILING THIS WITH YOU TO SEE IF THERE IS ANY ASSISTANCE YOU CAN PROVIDE. ON 11/25/15, I PURCHASED TWO GOODYEAR 225/50R17, 94V SL ASSUR COMTFD TOURING TIRES (M740KH1R1815). THE TIRES WERE INSTALLED ON A 2011 HONDA ACCORD WITH 54556 MILES. ON 8/9/17 BOTH TIRES WERE REPLACED AT A DISCOUNTED PRICE BECAUSE OF DEFECTS. MILEAGE ON THE CAR IS NOW 78445. SIGNIFICANT CRACKS HAD DEVELOPED IN THE SIDE WALL OF ONE OF THE TIRES AND MINOR CRACKS WERE SHOWING ON THE OTHER SUGGESTIVE OF THE SAME PROBLEM. THE WORST CRACKS WERE 4 TO 5 INCHES IN LENGTH AND POSED A DANGER OF SUDDEN HIGHWAY FAILURE. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE SEEN SUCH DEFECTS IN TIRES IN 50 PLUS YEARS OF DRIVING. THE FACT BOTH TIRES SHOWED SIMILAR DEFECTS RAISES QUESTIONS AS TO THE POSSIBILITY OF A MANUFACTURING DEFECT THAT MAY INVOLVE AN ENTIRE PRODUCTION BATCH OR SOMETHING LARGER. WHILE OUR DETECTION AND CORRECTION OF THE PROBLEM MAY HAVE PREVENTED A LIFE-THREATENING ISSUE FOR OUR FAMILY, OTHER FAMILIES MAY BE RIDING ON DEFECTIVE TIRES OF THIS TYPE AND NOT BE AWARE OF IT.

I KEEP HEARING WHINING SOUNDS UNDER HOOD. I INITIALLY THOUGHT IT WAS POWER STEERING BECAUSE IT WAS A LITTLE LOW. HOWEVER, AFTER TOPPING IT OFF, IT CONTINUES AND SOMETIMES GET EVEN LOUDER. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED CRACKING SOUND FROM WHEEL WHEN DRIVING. IT'S REALLY NOTICEABLE WHEN ROADS/STREETS ARE UNEVEN. IT SOUNDS LIKE WHEELS ARE GOING TO ROLL OFF AT ANY TIME. DEALERSHIP TOLD ME MY DRIVER SIDE MAP LIGHT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. HOWEVER, DRIVER SIDE MAP LIGHT WORKS ON RARE OCCASIONS. I ALSO NOTICED THAT LIGHT ON DRIVER SIDE VISOR SEEMS TO HAVE A SHORT. THIS IS VERY DISTURBING. I OWNED A 98 HONDA ACCORD AND NEVER HAD THESE ISSUES FOR 13 YEARS. I NOTICED THERE HAS BEEN RECALL FOR CERTAIN 2011 HONDA ACCORD FOR SUSPENSION ISSUES. WHY IS THIS CAR NOT INCLUDED?
MY CAR WAS MOVING WHEN IT WAS HIT BY ANOTHER CAR. I WAS ON A CITY STREET AND THE OTHER CAR RAN A STOP SIGN AND HIT ME. MY AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY, BUT DID CATCH ON FIRE
TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE DATED JULY 2016 INFORMING ME OF THE RECALL BUT SAYING THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. I NEVER RECEIVED A SECOND NOTICE THAT THE PARTS WERE AVAILABLE. RECENTLY I SCHEDULED THE REPAIR WITH HOLLER HONDA OF ORLANDO FL. I ASSUMED I WOULD BE GIVEN A CAR TO DRIVE WHILE THE REPAIR WAS BEING DONE. I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD NOT BE FURNISHED A CAR WHICH MEANT THAT I WOULD HAVE TO RENT A CAR OR PAY TAXI FARE. SINCE THIS AIR BAG DEFECT IS NOT OF MY DOING I FEEL THAT I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING OUT OF MY POCKET. AM I RIGHT OR WRONG? I FEEL THE RECALL SHOULD BE TOTALLY COST FREE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.

THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG INDICATOR REMAINED LIT UNTIL THE EMERGENCY LIGHT WAS TURNED ON. ONCE THE EMERGENCY LIGHT WAS TURNED OFF, THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE BEEN IN AN MOTORVEHICLE ACCIDENT (MY HONDA ACCORD 2011) . THE ACCIDENT ACCURED ON THE HIGHWAY DUE TO HEAVY RAINING, THE IMPACT WAS FRONT OF THE VEHICLE , CAUSED DAMAGES TO BOTH SIDE FINDERS AND BUMPER WITH THE GRILL. ONLY THE STEERING AIRBAG HAD DEPLOYED. NO SIDE AIRBAG ,ROOF AIRBAG OR DASHPOOL AIRBAG DEPLOYED, I HAVE A SLIGHT VERTBRAL SHOULDER , REAR NECK SLIGHT INJURY .
I HAVE SPENT OVER $2500 IN BRAKES OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS AND THIS TIME WHEN PURCHASING NEW TIRES FOR MY CAR, I WAS TOLD IT NEEDED FRONT AND BACK BRAKES AGAIN!!! I DID NOT PUT THEM ON THE CAR THIS TIME AS MY BUDGET WAS EXCEEDED WITH THE TIRES. NOW, IT NEEDS A CATALYTIC CONVERTER WHICH I WILL NEED IN ORDER TO PASS INSPECTION. I AM READY TO GIVE THIS CAR BACK TO THE DEALER IN WHICH I GOT IT FROM!!!!

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 67,000.
1ST ISSUE: INTERIOR LEATHER ON DOOR PANEL BUBBLES WHEN IN SUN AND HAS STARTED TO COM OFF DRIVERS DOOR SIDE. 2ND ISSUE: OUTSIDE FRONT COVER/PANEL OF CAR FELL OFF DUE TO WORN PLASTIC BOLTS WHILE VEHICLE IN MOTION. 3 ISSUE: WHILE PARKED AND REMOVING ITEMS FROM TRUNK, TRUNK CAME DOWN AND HIT ME ON THE FOREHEAD. ALSO, TRUCK WILL NOT STAY DOWN UNLESS I CONTINUOUS SLAM IT WHICH HAS CAUSED DAMAGE TO LOCK. BUMP WITH SLIGHT CUT TO FOREHEAD.
TPMS LIGHT COMES ON AND STAYS ON GOES OFF INTERMITTENTLY WITH VARIABLE TIME IN BETWEEN ! THIS HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING !

A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT'S GRANDSON FLEW THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD OF THE VEHICLE AND SUFFERED INJURIES TO THE EYES, HEAD, AND SHOULDER. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN TO SERRA HONDA OF SYLACAUGA ON OR AROUND APRIL 2017 TO HAVE MY HAVE MY TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATOR REPAIRED DUE TO A RECALL. SINCE THE REPAIR, MY AIRBAG LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF AND I HAVE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES TO INFORM SERRA HONDA SERVICE PERSONNEL. SERRA HONDA PERSONNEL HAS INFORMED ME THAT THE AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT BEING ON HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND THAT IF I BROUGHT IT BACK, THERE WOULD BE A MINIMUM OF $140 CHARGE TO LOOK AT MY AIRBAG. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. ALTHOUGH THE AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY, IT IS STILL A CONCERN FOR ME ESPECIALLY SINCE MY FIANCE IS THE PRIMARY DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE. FRONT AIR BAG LIGHT ON, MEANING THE AIR BAG WILL NOT WORK IF IN A FRONT COLLISION
"TAKATA RECALL" HONDA DEALERS STATE THAT THEY DOES NOT HAVE THE PARTS AND THE RECALL IS NOT SOLVED
TAKATA RECALL. ON 3/4/17, THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED AT AUTONATION HONDA IN FREMONT, CA FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG INFLATOR. ON 3/16/17 THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT IN WHICH IT REAR-ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY, AND THE SEAT BELT LOCKING SYSTEM FAILED TO ENGAGE.
VARIABLE VALVE TIMING ACTUATOR WENT OUT AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. THIS WAS RECALLED ON EARLIER MODELS. I'VE SEEN LOTS OF FORUMS WHERE PEOPLE WITH 2010'S AND 2011'S STILL HAVING THIS PROBLEM. WE LEARNED ABOUT THE PROBLEM BY RESEARCHING WHAT THE RATTLING SOUND COULD BE WHEN WE START THE CAR FROM THESE FORUMS. THE OIL LIGHT STARTED COMING ON AND THE CAR WAS LOSING OIL. IT STARTED RATTLING EVEN WHILE DRIVING IT OR IDLING AT A LIGHT. THE AUTO MECHANIC VERIFIED IT AND WE HAD TO PAY $900 TO HAVE IT FIXED. IF THIS PROBLEM WASN'T RESOLVED AS HONDA SAYS IT WAS THEN WE SHOULDN'T BE OUT THE COST TO FIX IT.
I NOTICE TWO PROBLEMS WITH THE 2011 ACCORD V6 EXL AUTOMATIC I JUST BOUGHT. 1. WITHOUT FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR, THE CAR ROLLS AT 10MPH SPEEDS. WHILE REVERSING OUT OF GARAGE THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM. 2. RIGHT AROUND 45MPH MARK, THE CAR LURCHES FORWARD BRIEFLY BEFORE IT PICKS UP THE ACCELERATION. BOTH THESE ARE CONSISTENTLY REPRODUCIBLE IN THE CAR I HAVE.
