The contact owns a 2016 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the ABS module failed to work as intended. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the ABS control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure, and informed the contact that there was no recall on the VIN for the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.
The ABS is malfunctioning. It comes in and off. When the warning lights are on the Abs system is not working. It pops off which means it is working at that time.
ABS/VSA module the lights are on the dashboard. Steering wheel light, brake,ABS and tracksion light…They come on and sometimes go off for a little bit. Then back on
I recently came up with 121-11 is a VSA/ABS Solenoid issue. This was provided by Honda Technician. Dealer wants me to change the whole module causing a cost over $3,000. Yet, Honda does not offer any repairs of the solenoid. Honda's are particularly prone to this type of fault. While we do our part and maintain the car with great care, it is unacceptable and unsafe that Honda will not be addressing this.
ABS MODULE VSA SOLENOID VALVE MALFUNCTION. The problem has been confirmed by dealership.
Hello, I have a 2016 Honda Accord EX-L which has roughly 105,000 miles. All of my brake lights, VSA, Traction control, and tpms lights came on. I went to get the vehicle diagnosed and the issue was with a faulty VSA modulator. This is a very expensive part and a feature in a vehicle that should not be faulty. I have already repaired this issue but I just find it ridiculous that something so standard has arised, and has cost me over $2,000 to fix. Can you please report honda and look into this. I know I"ve done the work but I feel like reimbursement should happen.
The contact owns a 2016 Honda Accord. The contact stated that after the battery was replaced, the headlight and low brake fluid warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
The dashboard has four warning lights on : 1- Electronic power steering 2-ABS Anti lock brakes 3-Brake system 4-Vehicle stability assist I have taken the vehicle to 2 service centers and they both confirmed the problem is common among Honda cars dated between 2013-2017. They ran a diagnostic test confirming ABS module failure. Although the car is drivable they recommended I get the problem fixed, at my cost of $2800 for parts and labor. I called Honda corporate and they stated there are no recalls or extended warranties for the issue. If its is a common problem in their cars, they should fix it themselves at no cost to the consumer.
ABS module is defective after 7 years, there have been many reports and very expensive to fix, why hasn’t Honda made this a recall?
On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, my wife was parking her car in the parking lot of a TJ Maxx, 4220 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. As she turned right into the parking space, at a very low rate of speed, 1-2 mph, the engine revved and launched her into another parked vehicle. Once the engine revved and launched she had both feet on the brake pedal. It did light damage to the vehicle she hit and moderate damage to her 2016 Honda Accord Coupe. The impact was hard enough to deploy the driver side airbag. No one was in the other vehicle and she did not sustain serious injury. The car was towed to a body shop. The other vehicle was drivable and insurances were exchanged.
While driving the car doing 40mph with foot on gas it slammed into a screeching stop all by itself! While still in drive!! No foot on the brake! So scary!! No indicator lights came on.
Vehicle pulls to the right randomly, sometimes hard, sometimes gently. Vehicle will also pull harder right when braking randomly. Sometimes vehicle will pull left when braking. Dealer has aligned the vehicle 3 times in a month no change. Still having same issue. Dealer tried to blame the brand new Michelin tires. I know there are steering issues with 2013-2015 Accords please consider adding 2016 Accords to this also. They also checked the brakes and suspension and say all that is good. I know I am not the only 2016 Accord owner complaining about this issue. Accord forums confirm this. Please investigate this. Thank you.
WHEN TRAVELING DOWN A ROAD STRAIGHT ABOUT 45 MPH THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM FLASHED 'BRAKE' ON THE CLUSTER AND THEN THE THE CAR CAME TO A STOP WHEN THERE WAS NOTHING IN FRONT OF ME THAT I COULD SEE. CAR HAS 16000 MILES ON IT AND THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. THE CAR BEHIND ME HAD ENOUGH ROOM TO STOP IN TIME. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG BUT A DIRTY CAMERA CODE SET.
WHEN TURNING THE WHEEL, SQUEAKING COMING FROM BRAKES. HAD BRAKES CHECKED, AND THERE IS NO WEAR WHICH REQUIRES BRAKE REPLACEMENT. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE OF THE TAB GETTING OFF IT'S RESTING PLACE AND CAUSING AN ERRONEOUS SQUEAKING. EVERYTIME WE ASK THE DEALER ABOUT IT, THEY SAY THEY CANNOT REPLICATE. WHEN YOU DO A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH, THE ISSUE IS DOCUMENTED ALL OVER THE PLACE. THUS, HONDA IS AWARE AND IS NOT ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE.
