The vehicle had a very violent shift (perhaps it was turbo lag related?) at low speed (under 20 miles per hour - typically, this happens in a parking lot or the like as you slowly drive away). In the past, this had been mentioned to the dealer, numerous times, who claimed that the issue is not reproducible. However, during the visit on 12/06/2022, dealer mechanic(s) claimed that they did witness the issue and the fix the performed the following (per dealer's notes): "reset TCM and Batter cable reset." after which (the dealer notes state): "Let the customer know that the trans will adapt to driving habits within 200 miles. If the customer drives hard, the transmission will learn hard to shift hard etc..." The second statement is nonsensical, since, most of the time the transmission shifts relatively fine, regardless of the driving pattern (i.e. hard, mellow, etc.) and the issue happens intermittently (every so many hundreds miles driven), at very low speeds with very little accelerator input, which indicates more of a software issue (and, possibly a mechanical design defect, coupled with the SW issue). Again, Honda has refused to properly troubleshoot and address the issue. There are now other customers with, what sound like, a very similar problem: [XXX] And, just as with my vehicle, other dealers are claiming "there is no issue" and Honda has ignored the issues. Honda has a history of transmission problems from the 2000s and it's really worrying that they might be repeating that pattern with 2018-on models: [XXX] While I am noting the issue at this mileage, there are numerous other instances of where the same problem occurred. The violent manner in which these shifts happen, makes one wonder how much mechanical damage is being done to the transmission and if a recall should be issued. two weeks after I purchased this vehicle the electrical system failed causing the car to drive in the ditch, Land Rover of mount Kisco, ny sold me the vehicle, after multiple attempts to find out what was going on with it, it was found that someone had rigged the electrical wiring harness and wrapped it with electrical tape and taped it down causing the electrical system to malfunction, after that was repaired in august 2023 the car veered off the road again this time hitting a speed limit sign the damage was on the side of the vehicle but the vehicle would not move at all and all the lights were on again, the police stated where the damage is on the car it should not had caused the car to do what it was doing after I explained I was just driving along and the vehicle just went its own way, I told the insurance company about the previous issues, they repaired the car and that's it, I got the car back 24 hrs later all the lights came back on the dashboard, they still could not figure it out this was in September of 23, by December 23 the lights came back on the Honda dealership said it was the fuel pump this was because the lights came back on and the car stalled on the interstate almost causing a collision so I had to have it towed to the dealership, I paid $1300 only to find out Honda had a recall the dealership said it was the same part number and advised me to contact Honda for a reimbursement in which Honda has refused to reimburse me after to attempts, as I looked at the recalls on this car this car has had two different recalls on the fuel pump for this vehicle, that was repaired drove the car for 4 weeks the lights came on the dashboard again, I took it back to the dealership they said its the turbo booster, I am convinced the dealership who sold me this vehicle knew this vehicle was not in any condition to be on the road with a family in it, I have asked Honda to buy the car back they have refused, this car cannot be repaired.

After this car was repaired by the body shop, all the automatic systems in the car started flashing and no one could figure out why. It went to four different repair shops over several months, till finally they convinced me to purchase another vehicle when this one was going to be paid off in two months. This problem was well documented by several repair places , and ultimately since it was unrepairable I had to trade it in and got bottom dollar for a non-running car that I owned since the beginning and got screwed.
The car was driving raggedly it started loading power we was thinking it was the plugs the coils even bad gas we changed plugs the coils it continued to misfired after dat so when use some cleanser for the fuel pump the actual pump was too expensive few days after the it won’t crank it’s been sitting for months now please help me I’m not sure what’s wrong but it was doing exactly what it says the fuel pump module would do.
My car ran good up until July 29, 2023. There was a slight tornado and lots of rain when I parked the car it was fine hour later it began to stall and became undriveable. I called my insurance company Progressive and called Honda of Manchester and Progressive had the car towed to Honda. They came back with the diagnosis of my HeadGaskit needs to be replaced my fuel injectors are miss firing and the piston rings needs to be replaced. I have 84,998 miles on the car and all of the maintenance records are up to date. Honda gave me a price of $4,800+ to have it fixed. Where I’m concerned at is how can these many problems happen at one time and I had know warning signs it just stopped running all of a sudden.
I was traveling on interstate 65 in alabama running about 70 mph when suddenly the brakes slammed on automatically. The car behind me had to swerve over in the next lane to keep from hitting me from behind. this is the 3rd time this has happened but this last time almost caused a wreck. i AM SCARED TO DRIVE THIS CAR NOW. The dealer kept the car for 2 days but could not reproduce this . the dash board started flashing brake. All 3 times there was no car in front or beside me.
On about 7-10 occasions since purchasing car new, the automatic braking system will engage brakes for no reason. These have all been in cuise control mode and with no cars in front of me. It is a very hard braking and a many of the times on interstates going 70 MPH. Have no idea why it does this, but definitely feel it is unsafe and makes me wary of this situation happening in the future (as I'm sure it will).
The paint, obsidian blue pearl, is peeling and rust is starting to form.
Supplemental restraint system error appears on dash unit, at first intermittently and now at all times. I am wondering if this could be related to a recall on seatbelts which apparently does not apply to my VIN but does to other 2018 Honda Accords.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to park the vehicle on the side of the highway; additionally, the hazard lights failed to work. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed the contact of a faulty START/STOP switch. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle sporadically applied the brakes independently. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power and the hazard lights failed to function. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the START/STOP switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 75,336.

While in traffic, all system problem lights came on and the vehicle would not accelerate. Dealer diagnosed as fuel pump failure.

It appears to be either the fuel pump or fuel injectors, at certain times of acceleration the car stops accelerating, the engine light blinks, I have to shut the car off and restart it. It seems like if I slow my car down then try to accelerate, like going through a roundabout or sitting in stop and go traffic really seems to set the problem off. I took it to a Honda dealership a couple years ago and they informed me it was fuel injectors but they were not in stock, they assured me the car was fine to drive, I called a couple times to ask if they had gotten the part, they sternly told me they would call me, anyways they never called me and it still happens, there is a recall out for other 2018 Honda Accords that seem to have a similar problem. All my lights are constantly on due to this problem, none of the features on my car work. Sometimes if I reset my battery the lights are fine for a while but the problem still persists. If I "Rev" my car up and gas it pretty hard when I immediately start driving it seems to help.
My car keeps indicating a supplemental restraint system issue then goes away I’m not sure what’s going on but I’ve seen several other complaints about this same issue with Honda.
The 2 airbags on the driver and passenger side exploded around 7 AM 7-14-23 driving South on San Andreas causing the car to drive into a Street pole and dislodge the right front wheel and cause likely irreperable damge to my 2018 Honda Accord. I was shaken up aandmy right arm has burn marks from the airbags imploding The car was not driveable and towed to ABX Collsion in San Diego. I am going to contact Honda shortly as this incident is causing a lot of financial and mental distress.
I have been dealing with the check engine light codes p0172c & p219c. Honda inspected my vehicle and said the problem is that my car is running too rich and the fuel injectors are bad but they say i cant really do anything because the fuel injectors are on backorder but really they are discontinued and they are unsure when theyll comeback. Im concerned for my safety and for others on the road because the p219c code is commonly associated with a leaky head gasket, and after speaking to several third party mechanics theyve all said they have been getting others with the same problem and the fuel injector isnt the actual problem, its the head gasket. which means unfortunately my head gasket could blow any moment im driving my car which i NEED to do because i NEED to work. I travel at least 40 miles a day in houston traffic and im very worried about the potential damages i can cause should my head gasket blow while im driving in rush hour on the highway. I had no other kind of warning for this besides the check engine light and its been on for the past 4 weeks.
OPEN RECALL ISSUES I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the unresolved recall issue with my 2018 Honda Accord. I am a resident of Columbus, Georgia, and have made multiple attempts to have this recall addressed by the local Honda dealership in Columbus, Georgia, but have encountered persistent difficulties. I have visited the dealership several times inquiring about when my recall can be fixed. On one occasion, I was informed that the manager stated the recall could not be addressed unless my car was experiencing visible issues. Despite explaining that I was already experiencing some of the issues outlined in the recall, I was denied service. A few months later, when I visited again, I was told that no parts were available for the recall. When I called a few weeks after that, my calls went unanswered. Most recently, after the birth of my child, I visited the dealership once again and was told that all parts for the recall were out of stock. I requested to be put on a list to be contacted once the parts became available, as I am concerned about the safety of my vehicle and the need to have the recall honored. Despite these repeated efforts, I have not received a resolution, and I believe my consumer rights are being disregarded. As per Georgia’s consumer protection laws, including those concerning automobile safety and recall procedures, manufacturers are required to honor recalls and ensure that necessary parts are available in a timely manner. The continued lack of response and failure to address this issue is concerning, especially given the potential safety risks involved. Please do note and keep in mind that I have came to the Honda business about 3 times . I am undecided of the actual dates but the year was 2024 . I know I went before I had my baby in September and after I had my baby I received a minor inspection due to me complaining.
I had a recall on my seatbelt and after I did the recall now my airbag resistant light is coming on and I don’t think they’re going to look at it without charging me when it never came on until they done the seatbelt so I’m not sure if I got a defective part and they need to replace it or what but I don’t think I should have to pay for it since it was just fine till they done the recall

When I am driving, the car turns off in the middle of the road and this warning message appears: Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem See Your Dealer. I took it to the dealer. They changed the battery, but the problem still occurs. This is dangerous because the car cut off in the middle of the road where you can get rear ended.
Door lock actuator Door does not auto lock leaving my rear passenger door unlocked even while driving. Has not been inspected as it is out of warranty
All lights are on saying turbo is goingout on scanner
The low beam lights abruptly stopped working without warning. The high beams, fog lights and interior lights work fine but I had to use my bright lights to get home which visually impaired oncoming traffic & myself because they flashed me with their bright lights. I called the dealership, and they said what happened was highly unusual and that led lights don't go out. Following this my system lights started to come on for the tire pressure and the brakes. They are still on and my tires work fine and brakes are working fine.
I was traveling on [XXX] transitioning to connect the [XXX] . The emergency brake abruptly engaged and jerked/slammed my upper body forward and then backward. There was no vehicle in my path that warranted the auto braking system engagement. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

A/C not working
In the multimple other complaints filed (regarding the Collision Mitigation System, Infotainment, etc.) it become obvious that Honda has really screwed up the firmware/software and how it interacts with the sensors/systems and the user on this vehicle. The issue, this time, was the common occurrence of the battery dying. HOWEVER, instead of simply putting up a message that says "Hello, your battery is in an untennable state", someone thought it would be a good idea to flush EVERY warning possible, as in "Anti-Lock Brake System Problem...", "Vehicle Stability Assist System Problem...", etc. And, of course, it would demand that you "take it to the dealer." Upon replacing the battery the issues went away, for a few days. Then, another set of warnings - this time, something to do with the "Emission System". Upon taking it to a non-Honda reputable mechanic (so, a third party without a conflict of interest), they reset the codes and then things seemed to settle down. Good to know - another thing that just "happens with these" when it comes to the Accords of the 2018+ model year.
Sunroof exploded for no reason, not hit by anything or debris from road, while drive down road at 40mph. If my sunroof visor wouldn't have been closed this could have blown glass into my face and eyes while driving.
My acc went out along with my collision mitigation system and no accident just for no reason.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the back-up camera displayed a blank image while the vehicle was shifted into reverse(R). The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that there were no recalls on the VIN. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 23,144.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle experienced a loss of motive power and the vehicle occasionally stalled. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was occasionally illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 79,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
I was driving my vehicle on an open highway. There were no road hazards or other vehicles in front of me when my car slammed on the brakes. The brakes caution light flashed and beeped on my dashboard and the car slammed on the brakes. If I had another vehicles behind me I would have been rear ended. This is the 3rd time my vehicle has done this since I purchased it.
My car is 5 years old with 72,000 miles and it now need a new head gasket. Mechanic said Honda is aware of this issue on this model car but my warranty is expired and this is costly fix for something the company is well aware of.
All electrical warning lights came on dashboard. This is very frustrating and scary. This needs to be a recall on this vehicle because nothing this serious is normal. I thought my car was falling apart. Honda needs to fix this problem and the owner should not be responsible.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH, the brakes locked up and the vehicle came to a sudden stop. The driver and passenger were jolted towards the windshield. The brake warning light was illuminated. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.
Acc, breaking system, lane departure, collision warnings all on. Cruise control not working! The cmbs is not functioning properly.
AC is NOT working and it is a SAFETY ISSUE as drivers can have HEAT STROKE and other heat medical issues especially with medical conditions like me. This is the car I am driving to for everything. I saw a lot of complaints online with the same AC issues related to Honda even under 50K miles only.

I purchased the vehicle 1/21. I only took my car to Midland Honda to do all repairs. The last repair I paid them for was a tuneup June 2023. I paid them $1082.90 for the service. October 2023 my car started to do the same thing it did back in June for the tune up. So this time I took the car to AutoZone because the check engine light came on. It showed that it was a misfire. They said the car should not be doing that and that I needed to return it back to the dealership which idea they did a check on the car I was being told it was a fuel pump issue. I asked them if there would’ve been any notification prior because based on all of the oil changes and anything maintenance that I had them to do they never inform me of anything of a repair that would’ve required that , I did some research and so that’s some family members male family members, and they inform me that there was a recall for the fuel system None of my documentation from Honda said anything about any other major issue and that I would not be having any problems they also inform me that the price for the fuel filter would be $1700 to have it replaced. I then took the car for another appointment at another Honda dealership in my area, they perform the same check. They’re all ASE certified mechanics assuming they all use the same diagnostic device. The other dealership never said anything to me about the fuel system. They only inform me of the antilock brake system, which was puzzling to me because Advance had already told me, it was a misfire for the spark plugs we looked at the spark plugs, the spark plugs from what they said does not look like what a spark plug should look like that has been putting in a calm that was just replaced in June , I contacted the Honda Dealership manufacturing company back in December and was told then that there was a recall for the fuel system. I’m not sure what the issue is because last not last month March I took the car to another Honda and was told it was a blown Head gas
After a few weeks of owning my 2018 Honda accord-Sport driving along the road my car hesitated and acted as if it didn't want to continue driving. I had to pull over to the side of the road to turn the car completely off and back on for the car to regain energy (power) to drive. Every light on the dash is on from the check engine light, brake system, check emission system, road assistance, tire system and do not turn off. I had the fuel injectors cleaned because that was the code that came back for the issue and the car is storing the same code. It was a temporary fix because the lights have been on and off for a whole year now. I cannot get the issue fix because the parts have been on and off back order for the whole year I have owned this car. My car is running harder and hesitating a lot more and I do not get the same average milage on gas anymore. I normally fill up once a week and do the same amount of driving, but my gas is no longer lasting me the week it used to. The fuel injectors seem to be a common issue with these cars especially with the parts on back order for this long intensive time period. I am scared my car will not be drivable in the near future on the symptoms it is now displaying. My car is available at any time for an inspection. I'm very surprised this issue is not a recall on the hazard it is driving, and the car could hesitate or not proceed to go when in traffic which could lead to terrible safety hazards. Every light is on that could possibly be wrong on the dash. I have taken this vehicle to Honda dealerships and 3rd party mechanic shops.
After a service visit on May 27, 2023, at my local Honda dealership, I noticed condensation buildup in the front driver’s LED headlight. The car has never been in an accident, and there was no evidence of a strike from road debris. I initially suspected this moisture could be related to humidity, but it never evaporated and remained a problem. I troubleshooted other possible causes but eventually brought it back to the dealer for a more thorough investigation. The dealership determined that the headlamp was cracked/defective and worked with Honda to replace it. Just before the repair, the driver safety system generated multiple warnings about the lighting system and the turn signals failed to work. Once at the dealer, a blown fuse was discovered. It was presumably blown by the defective headlight and replaced. On October 30, 2023, I discovered new cracks in the front passenger LED headlight. Some condensation was also present. As before, the car has not been in an accident and there is no evidence of a strike from road debris. The pattern is strikingly similar to what transpired with the driver’s front headlight. In conclusion, I believe my headlight problems are caused by a manufacturing defect on some 2018 Honda Accord models. My experience with driver system alarms and inoperable turn signals due to a subsequently blown fuse demonstrate that defective headlights can create a serious safety hazard. I respectfully request your assistance with this situation and welcome the opportunity to find an agreeable solution.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while at a complete stop, there was white colored smoke coming from the passenger’s side of the engine. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the contact was provided a loaner vehicle. A diagnostic test was performed, and the contact was informed that the head gasket was blown. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.
We were told the fuel injectors were bad. This put us and others at risk as the car stopped moving when we pulled into traffic. The problem has been confirmed by the Honda Cars of Rock Hill dealership. The vehicle has been inspected by the Honda Cars of Rock Hill dealership. There were no warming lamps or messages that appeared before this happened.

while driving in highway, all dash light slit up like a Christmas Tree and vehicle lost power. I was not able to go over 30 mph and was in danger of being rear ended on freeway. I was able to pull over to safety and turn vehicle off. Upon restarting the vehicle, I was able to make it back home. This has happened on 3-4 diff occasions. Honda is not accepting responsibility. They continuously refer me to Honda dealer to be ripped off for a diagnostic. There are several forums online complaining about the same issue. My battery and alternator is good. Please help and hold Honda accountable to their negligence in the build of these vehicles.
