2018 HONDA ACCORD WITH 10 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION EXPERIENCED A VERY VIOLENT UPSHIFT AT LOW SPEEDS (TAKING OFF FROM THE PARKING LOT). THIS HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY AND, OF COURSE, A DEALER WAS NOT ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE AS THEY ONLY DRIVE THE VEHICLE FOR, MAYBE, AN HOUR, WHILE THE ISSUE OCCURS EVERY SO MANY HUNDREDS OF MILES (CAN'T QUITE PIN DOWN THE EXACT INTERVAL).
THE CMBS, SPEED FOLLOW ARE NOT WORKING WHEN YOU DRIVE 40MILES IN THE FREEWAY AND IT SAY ALWAYS SEE YOUR DEALER AND THE SEATBELT ARE VERY STIFF
THE VEHICLE SHIFTS ROUGH AROUND 20-30 MILES PER HOUR. TODAY WHEN I LEFT THE GROCERY STORE AND WAS DRIVING SLOWLY THROUGH THE PARKING LOT, IT JERKED ABOUT 4 TIMES BEFORE IT DECIDED TO DRIVE SMOOTHLY. HOWEVER, ON OCCASION, IT HAS SHIFTED SO HARD THAT EVERYTHING FELL OFF MY SEAT AND ONE TIME I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO STALL IN THE INTERSECTION WHEN I HAD STARTED UP AFTER WAITING FOR A RED LIGHT. I'VE HAD THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE A FEW TIMES FOR THIS PROBLEM SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED IN MAY, 2018 AND EACH TIME I AM TOLD NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE CAR AND THAT IS JUST HOW IT RUNS. I'VE HAD TWO OTHER HONDAS AND LOVED THEM. I DOUBT THIS IS THE WAY HONDA INTENDED THIS VEHICLE TO RUN. FOR 2 1/2 YEARS I HAVE DEALT WITH THIS PROBLEM. ALSO, I CONTACTED HONDA CORPORATION DIRECTLY. I RECEIVED A CASE NUMBER AND WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT TO A DIFFERENT DEALER FOR SERVICE. IT WAS THE SAME SONG AND DANCE. TODAY I WAS PRICING WHAT MY CAR WAS WORTH AND I NOTED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE FUEL SYSTEM. HOWEVER, WHEN I PUT IN MY VIN, IT SAYS MY CAR IS NOT AFFECTED. FOR A MOMENT THERE, I THOUGHT JUST MAYBE I COULD FINALLY GET THIS PROBLEM RESOLVED. NO SUCH LUCK.
EVERY TIME I TRY TO DISENGAGE THE PARKING BREAK IT SHOWS A WARNING THAT THE BRAKE SYSTEMS IS FAILING.
THE SCREEN FREQUENTLY POPS UP THE WARNING OF TIRES, ABS AND OTHER ISSUES ON THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER. AFTER INSPECTION, EVERYTHING IS FINE. IT SUSPECTED AS BUGS FOR THE SYSTEM, BUT REALLY MISLEADING AND IMPACTED ON THE SAFETY OF THE DRIVING. THE PROBLEM HAD EXISTED FOR 1+ YEAR WITHOUT FIX.
MOST TIMES WHEN SLOWING DOWN THEN HITTING ACCELERATOR, TO SPEED BACK UP, THE CAR "STUTTERS" INDICATING IT IS BEING ROBBED OF FUEL. NOTICED HONDA HAS A RECALL IN FOR FUEL INJECTORS, BUT MY CAR IS YET TO BE COVERED.
THE STEERING SEEMS TO HAVE A NOTCH OR A FLAT SPOT IN IT WHILE DRIVING STRAIGHT DOWN THE ROAD AND TO CORRECT IT WHEN YOU APPLY PRESSURE TO SWITCH LANES YOU WILL OVERSTEER THE VEHICLE.
REAR ROTOR ARE TOTALLY WORN OUT. JUST HAPPEN 7/31/2020, PURCHASE JAN 01/01/2028. HONDA ACCORD SPORT 1.5T. 43K ON. ITS VERY UNUSUAL THIS HAPPEN TO A REAR ROTOR AND BRAKES .USUALLY FRONT FIRST BUT YES THIS IS JUST A NOTE TO ALL 20'S HONDA TO BE AWARE OF BUYING THIS TYPE OF CAR. PLEASE HELP EVERY ONE SO CONSUMER ARE BE PROTECTED TO THESE RIPOFF. THANK YOU BE SAFE OUT THERE.
WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AFTER GETTING COFFEE WITH ACTIVE CRUISE CONTROL ON AND A MESSAGE POPPED UP SAYING " COLLISION MITIGATION SYSTEM FAULT" PLEASE VISIT DEALER", I'VE READ THAT IT CAN GET BUG JUICE ON IT AND CAUSE IT TO SAY THAT BUT I WIPED MINE OFF AND IT IS STILL SAYING THAT AFTER I RESTARTED THE CAR, HAVE READ FROM MANY CAR GROUPS THAT THIS HAPPENS ALOT WITH THESE CARS.
I've filed the specific issues in other complaints, but also wanted to input this for a record. After taking the card to the dealer, the dealer DID NOT address any of the following: Right door speaker rattle Engine squeak (when shutting off) Hood vibration Did not troubleshoot the smell coming from the ventilation system. Did not apply the fix (if there was one) for the infotainment unit restarting abruptly. Did not look at as to why the display shows 100mph speed limit when there is no such thing in the the state of Colorado (that I know of and certainly not where I was driving when this happened). Did not look at why the aux display has issues Did not look at Bluetooth connectivity issues. Did not look at problems with radar and the CMBS system. Of course, the usual response is "we drove it for an hour (if that) and did not see anything."

2018 ACCORD RANDOMLY AND AUTOMATICALLY BRAKES HARD WHEN NO OBVIOUS HAZARD IS AROUND. THE ACC WILL TURN OFF AND ERROR IS DISPLAYED SAYING SEE YOUR DEALER. WHEN THE CAR IS TURNED OFF IT RESETS AND ACC IS RUNNING AGAIN. I AM GETTING VERY NERVOUS DRIVING THIS CAR ON HIGHWAYS.

L MONDAY MORNING I'M AT THE HONDA DEALER, COUNTING TWO OTHER ELECTRICAL PROBLEMSTHIS MAKES THE THIRD TIME THEY HAVE TOLD ME THEY CAN NOT FIND CODES OR REPLICATE THE PROBLEM COME GET IT. I RECENTLY FINANCED A VEHICLE THRU AMERICAN FINANCE CORPORATION VIA VANDERGRIFF HONDA (1104 W I-20 ; ARLINGTON, TEXAS 76017). SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASE A RECALL REPAIR WAS REQUIRED FOR MY VEHICLE. THIS WORK WAS DONE AND COMPLETED ON JUNE 30TH, 2020. I PICKED UP THE VEHICLE ON JULY 1ST, 2020 FROM THE SERVICE CENTER. ON JULY 9TH, 2020 THE VEHICLE SHUTTERED AND STALLED IN A RESIDENTIAL PARKING LOT. I PHONED HONDA ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE GIVING MY VEHICLE ID AND LOCATION,THEREAFTER A TOW TRUCK ARRIVED AND TOWED TO THE VEHICLE TO RUSTY WALLIS HONDA. I WAS CONTACTED BY [XXX] (SERVICE ADVISOR) WHO INFORMED THAT THEY HAD RECEIVED MY VEHICLE FROM OVERNIGHT AND THAT "THEY WERE ABLE TO START MY VEHICLE". SHE ALSO STATED THAT IF THE ISSUE TURNS OUT TO BE THE BATTERY, THAT VANDERGRIFF HONDA WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE SINCE THIS PURCHASE WAS WITHIN 30DAYS. THE NEXT CALL I RECEIVED I WAS INFORMED THAT ISSUE WAS NOT THE BATTERY, BUT RATHER A "GAS ISSUE". AT THAT MOMENT I INFORMED HER THAT THE RECALL REPAIR THAT WAS COMPLETED ON JUNE 30TH WAS THE "FUEL PUMP MOTOR". WITH THIS INFORMATION NOTED THAT SINCE THAT WAS A RECALL REPAIR( THE FUEL PUMP MOTOR) THAT REPAIR WAS UNDER WARRANTY AND THAT THEY WOULD UPDATE ME ON THE CONTINUING REPAIR. I WAS CONTACTED THE NEXT DAY BY AND INFORMED ME THAT A FUEL INJECTOR RAIL PART THAT WAS NEEDED IS BEING ORDERED, HOWEVER BECAUSE IT WAS SATUDAY THAT THIS PART WOULD NOT BE IN STOCK UNTIL TUEDAY JULY 14, 2020. ON JULY 15TH I CALLED INTO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. UPON SPEAKING TO A GENTLEMAN BY THE NAME OF [XXX] WHO ANSWERED THE TELEPHONE. [XXX] EXPLAINED TO ME THAT MY CAR WAS STILL DISABLED AND THAT HE WOULD LOOK INTO THIS MATTER (ASKING FOR A 30 -40 MINUTES FOR AN UPDATE FOR ME. THIS WAS 19 HOURS AGO. AC COMPRESSOR AND CLUTCH WENT OUT AT 26K MILES AND WAS REPLACED ON AUGUST 22 NINE 2019AND AGAIN AT 53K MILES. IT WAS REPLACED BY TAMERON HONDA IN HOOVER ALABAMA. IT HAS BEEN OUT SINCE 53,000 MILES AND I HAVE NOT HAD IT REPLACED BECAUSE I AM DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PART.
I BOUGHT THE CAR IN FEBRUARY 2019, BRAND NEW. IN JULY 2020 I NOTICED THE PAINT PEELING CHIPPING. I CONTACTED THE DEALER ON 7/14/20, 7/29/20, 8/12/20. WAS REPEATEDLY BLOWN OFF AND WAS TOLD THEY WERE CONTACTING HONDA OF AMERICA. HONDA CLAIMS THAT TREE SAP CAUSED THE PAINT TO PEEL BUT THE INDEPENDENT BODY SHOP I BROUGHT IT TO SAID THAT THERE WOULD BE OTHER SPOTS OF TREE SAP AND THAT THE TREE SAP WOULD BE VERY DIFFICULT TO REMOVE FROM THE CAR. THEY SPECIFICALLY STATED THAT THIS IS A BOLD FACED LIE. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH HONDA OF AMERICA AND RECEIVED A VOICEMAIL ON 10/7/2020 STATING THAT THEY WERE LOOKING INTO IT. I RECEIVED ANOTHER VOICEMAIL ON 10/21/2020 STATING THAT THEY WERE STANDING BY THE ORIGINAL HONDA OF AMERICA REPRESENTATIVE THAT THE ISSUE WAS CAUSED BY TREE SAP. THE BODY SHOP, GEIST TOWING AND RECOVERY, STATED THAT IT IS MOST LIKELY A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND THAT SINCE HONDA IS LYING ABOUT THE ACTUAL CAUSE THAT THEY WOULD RECOMMEND STRIPPING THE ENTIRE CAR AND REPAINTING. IF THEY WERE HONEST ONLY THE SUN FACING SURFACES MAY REQUIRE REPAIR.
WHILE DRIVING NOTICED AC BLOWING HOT AIR. TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC, ISSUE: CONDENSER LEAKING FREON. NO OBVIOUS DAMAGE THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED IT. ADVISED TO CALL DEALERSHIP AS THEY HAD A RECALL ON 2016 HONDAS FOR THE SAME ISSUE. CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD I PROBABLY HIT SOMETHING THAT PUNCTURED IT. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. APPARENTLY THE FREON LEAKING IS FLAMMABLE. IF OTHER VEHICLES FROM HONDA WERE RECALLED THIS COULD LIKELY BE THE SAME ISSUE. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING ON A 2018 MODEL.
EVENING BEFORE PROBLEM STARTED IT WAS A HEAVY RAIN IN NYC. MORNING I STARTED THE CAR AND WAS IMMEDIATELY RECEIVED 4 MESSAGES: "LKAS: LANE KEEPING ASSIST SYSTEM PROBLEM. SEE YOUR DEALER.". "ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION SYSTEM PROBLEM. SEE YOUR DEALER.", "BLIND SPOT INFORMATION SYSTEM PROBLEM. SEE YOUR DEALER.", "AUTO HIGH BEAM PROBLEM. MANUAL CONTROLS AVAILABLE. SEE YOUR DEALER.". TURN SIGNALS DID NOT WORK. HAZARD LIGHTS DID NOT WORK. TRUNK RELEASE DID NOT WORK. BACKUP CAMERA DID NOT WORK. MOVED TO DEALER (25 MINUTES AWAY). BUT DID NOT START THE SERVICE. AFTER TURNING OFF AND START THE CAR AGAIN ALL DISPLAYED FAILURES WERE GONE. WAITING FOR THE NEXT HEAVY RAIN.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the emissions warning light illuminated. In addition, the steering, the brakes, and the navigation features were all inoperable. The contact stated that a warning light illuminated with instructions to take the vehicle to the dealer for service immediately. Additionally, when the emissions warning light was illuminated, the oil became dirty quicker, and the fuel usage increased. The contact stated that the vehicle had been taken to the dealer several times and was reset. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.
AC CONDENSER LEAKING NEW TYPE OF REFRIGERANT (1234YF) WHICH APPARENTLY IS FLAMMABLE. HONDA SERVICE REP SAYS CONDENSER WAS "PROBABLY" PUNCTURED BY A FOREIGN OBJECT FROM THE ROAD. HOWEVER, HONDA HAS RECOGNIZED DEFECTIVE CONDENSERS LEAKING REFRIGERANT IN 2018 CIVICS AND HAS EXTENDED THE WARRANTIES FOR 10 YEARS FOR THESE AND OTHER MODEL YEARS. I SUSPECT THAT MY ACCORD CONDENSER WAS MANUFACTURED WITH THE SAME OR SIMILAR DEFECT. I PURCHASED MY ACCORD IN SPRING OF 2018 AT A TIME WHEN NOT MANY WERE BEING SOLD, WHICH MAY EXPLAIN WHY THIS IS NOT YET A RECOGNIZED DEFECT. I HAVE ALSO BEEN COMMUTING, UNTIL RECENTLY, LONG DISTANCES FOR OVER 20 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ANY KIND OF AC PROBLEM OR HAD A FOREIGN OBJECT PUNCTURE AN AC CONDENSER. IN ANY EVENT, AS I UNDERSTAND THE NEW REFRIGERANT IS FLAMMABLE, SO IF THIS IS ANOTHER MANUFACTURING DEFECT THEN IT SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED. *TR
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY MY CAR JUST BRAKES. IT DOESN'T COME TO A COMPLETE STOP BUT IT IS DANGEROUS. IF I DON'T PUT ON MY TURN SIGNAL BEFORE I START TO CHANGE LANES IT WILL BRAKE. IT DOESN'T DO IT ALL THE TIME BUT IT HAS STARTED DOING IT MORE FREQUENTLY. *TR
PAINT IS CHIPPING AND PEELING ON HOOD, ROOF, DOORS AND DOOR HANDLES. CAR IS PARKED IN GARAGE EVERY NIGHT AND IN PRIVATE PARKING SPACE AT WORK. NEVER UNDER A TREE OR EXPOSED TO ANYTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY.
PAINT IS PEELING ON THE FRONT BUMPER, TRUNK, HOOD, AND DOOR HANDLES. PAINT APPEARS TO BE CORRODING ON THE DOOR HANDLE AND RUBS OFF EVEN MORE WHEN TOUCHED. THE PROBLEM BEGAN WITH THE DOOR HANDLES IN 2019 AND HAS NOW SPREADED TO OTHER AREAS OF THE CAR. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, PARKED AT MY HOME WHEN I NOTICED THE ISSUE. BOTH IN 2019 AND ON TODAY, 6/19/2020. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE SUNROOF EXPLODED WITHOUT WARNING OR IMPACT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GRAINGER HONDA (1596 CHATHAM PKWY, SAVANNAH, GA 31408) TO BE INSPECTED. THERE WAS NO CAUSE FOR THE FAILURE REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 27,000.
SO THIS VEHICLE IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS WITH THE CRASH MITIGATION SYSTEM TURNED ON. SOMETIMES THE VEHICLE WILL TRIGGER THE SYSTEM WITH A FALSE POSITIVE CRASH DETECTION AND WILL EMERGENCY BRAKE FOR YOU AND CUT THE GAS SO YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO ACCELERATE. HOWEVER, I HAVE HAD A FEW FALSE POSITIVES. THE FIRST 2 TIMES WAS A COMPLETE HORROR STORY. I WAS DRIVING IN A HIGH-SPEED ENVIRONMENT, WHILE A TRUCK WAS MERGING ON TO THE FREEWAY, I WAS SUPPOSED TO ACCELERATE PAST HIM AND ALL OF A SUDDEN IT BEEPED AND HALT TO A COMPLETE STOP ON THE FREEWAY. LUCKILY THE SEMI EVADED ME AND I REGAIN CONTROL AND SPEED OUT OF THE WAY. 2ND TIME WAS ALMOST REAR-ENDED BY ANOTHER SEMI, I WAS LUCKY THAT PEOPLE GOT OUT OF THE WAY FOR THE TRUCK TO CLEAR ME. THE 3RD TIME OCCURRED JUST LAST WEEK ON THURSDAY. THERE WAS A CAR 5 CAR DISTANCE FROM ME, LEFT OF ME HAS A ROW OF CARS MAKING A LEFT, FACING THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. CAR INTERMITTENTLY FLASHES ALL THE CMBS LIGHTS AND APPLIES BREAK ON ITS OWN WITHOUT ANY VEHICLE IN FRONT OF THE CAR. HONDA DEALERSHIP CHARGED TO DIAGNOSE A REPLACE BREAK SWITCH. PROBLEM STILL PERSIST. COUNTLESS OTHERS ARE HAVING SAME ISSUE AND REPORTING ONLINE FORUMS AND YOUTUBE. I ALMOST GOT REARENDED MULTIPLE TIMES DUE TO THIS. ALSO WHEN THESE LIGHTS COME ACIVE, DRL SOMETIMES DO NOT WORK AND REVERSE CAMERA DO NOT WORK. FIRST HAPPENED JUNE 2020(AFTER ISSUE, IT ALLOWS THE CAR TO START WITHOUT PRESSING BREAK PEDAL), CONTINUES TO HAPPEN OFTEN. DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY AND RECONNECTING REMOVES THE ISSUE FOR SOMETIME THEN COMES BACK FEW DAYS TO WEEKS/MONTHS LATER.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DON JACOBS HONDA (2699 REGENCY RD, LEXINGTON, KY 40503) HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THERE WAS NO DTC CODES RETRIEVED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE DIAGNOSED TO BE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. A FEW MONTHS I STARTED HAVE A PROBLEM WITHE THE MY CAR .I LET MY CAR FOR SHORT TIME LIKE LESS THAN ONE HOUR WITH THE EMERGENCY LIGHTS ON ..BUT THE ENGINE WAS OFF (THE CAR WAS STATIONARY). SO WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO LEAVE FROM THE PLACE WHERE I WERE I STAR THE ENGINE AND IT DIDN'T WORK AND ALL THE LIGHT GO ON LIKE CRAZY AND 3 MESSAGE SHOWED ON THE SCREEN THAT SAID IT WAS SAFETY TO DRIVE AND THERE'S A PROBLEM WITH THE BREAK SYSTEM PROBLEM , ANTI-BREAK SYSTEM PROBLEM AND TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR SYSTEM. SO I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THAT MAYBE IT WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE BATTERY SO THEY TOLD TO TURN OFF AND TURN THE ENGINE ON AGAIN AND THEY TOLD ME THAT HE DRIVES IT FOR A CERTAIN TIME AND ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH GO OUT AND SINCE MAYBE IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE HIGH TEMPERATURES WE HAD. BUT IT WAS LIKE THAT I MEAN THE CAR IS STILL RUNNING "GOOD" BUT I'M NOT FELL SAFETY .I ALREADY TOOK THE THE DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT AND FIRST TIME THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE ALL THE LIGHT GO OUT SO THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T FOUND ANYTHING SO THE SECOND TIME THE HAPPENED THE SAME THING I RECORDED A VIDEO AND PHOTOS SO I SHOW THEM AN THE WAY THE STAR DOING A FULL CHECK OF EVERYTHING SO THEY DIDN'T FOUND ANY THING AND STILL APPEARS THOSE 3 MESSAGE A WHEN I STAR THE ENGINE NOT ALL THE TIME BUT THEY DIDN'T FIXED ANYTHING AND THEY DON'T WANT TO CHANGE FOR R ANOTHER CAR ..I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while depressing the accelerator pedal from a complete stop, the vehicle lunged forward. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fuel injectors and spark plugs had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the failure recurred approximately 5 years later while accelerating from a complete stop at a stoplight, and the vehicle failed to accelerate at the intended speed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the transmission sensor had failed. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred while attempting to leave a parking lot. The contact stated that the failure remained persistent and was recurring more frequently. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, Carson Honda(1435 E 223rd St, Carson, CA 90745), who performed a dual-clutch transmission check, but no failure was found. Additionally, the dealer diagnosed that there was excessive misfiring on cylinder #3 due to a head gasket leak. The dealer determined that the head gasket kit, the spark plugs, and the fuel injectors needed to be replaced, and an oil change needed to be performed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle had become inoperable. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was unknown.

I'VE HAD MY WINDSHIELD REPLACED 2 TIMES ON MY ACCORD FOR CRACKS DUE TO ROAD DEBRIS HITTING IT IN LESS THAN 3 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP. I WILL HAVE A 3RD REPLACEMENT SOON DUE TO THE SAME CRACKING / FRAGILITY OF THESE WINDSHIELDS. THESE WINDSHIELDS ARE INCREDIBLY SOFT TO THE POINT THAT THEY PIT RATHER EASILY FROM PEBBLES HITTING AT SLOW SPEEDS. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND HONDA SHOULD OFFER A REPLACEMENT ON ALL 2018 ACCORDS WITH STRONGER GLASS. MANY ONLINE FORUMS AND SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS WITH 10TH GEN ACCORD OWNERS COMPLAIN OF THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE WINDSHIELDS. THEY ARE UNSAFE AND CAUSING UNDUE INSURANCE PREMIUM INCREASES BECAUSE OF HOW SOFT THE GLASS IS.

500 MILE TRIP ON THE INTERSTATE, STEERING IS AGAIN (THIRD TIME NOW) FEELING STICKY OR LIKE IT GETS STUCK WHEN MAKING SMALL CORRECTIONS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. STEERING RACK WAS REPLACED ONCE, SINCE THE PROBLEM FOR A FEW MONTHS BUT IT IS BACK AGAIN.
DURING A 400 MILE HIGHWAY ROAD TRIP IN NOVEMBER 2019 MY 2018 ACCORD STEERING STARTED TO STICK. IT FEELS LIKE YOU HAVE TO BREAK A HITCH TO KEEP THE VEHICLE IN THE CENTER OF THE ROAD. TWICE I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER BUT BECAUSE THE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED NOTHING WAS DONE. MOST OF THE COMPLAINTS I READ THIS PROBLEM OCCURS DURING LONG TRIPS, SO UNLESS THE TECH TAKES THE VEHICLE ON A TRIP THE PROBLEM WILL NOT BE DUPLICATED. MAYBE THE VEHICLE OR A COMPONENT ON THE VEHICLE HAS TO REACH A CERTAIN TEMPERATURE FOR THE ISSUE TO SHOW. TURNING OFF FEATURES I PURCHASED ON THE CAR IS NOT A FIX!!! THIS ISSUE TOOK THE JOY OUT OF OWNING THIS CAR. I WANT A REPLACEMENT ON HONDA'A DIME!!!!!
THE TACHOMETER GOES COMPLETELY OUT AND WON'T CYCLE BACK ON WITHOUT LEAVING THE CAR OFF FOR A GREAT DEAL OF TIME. MOST OF THE TIME THIS HAPPENS WHEN YOU REMOTE START THE CAR USING THE KEY FOB OR THE APP.
WHILE DRIVING ON ANY TYPE OF ROADWAY, WHEN CHANGING GEARS FROM 1ST TO 2ND THE GEARS GRIND AND SOMETIMES WILL NOT GO INTO GEAR, THOUGH THE CLUTCH PEDAL IS FULLY DEPRESSED.
The CMBS (Collision Mitigation Braking System) had another failure. This is due to the Radar Sensor being blocked and then other safety systems in the vehicle having cascading failures. In the winter of 2019, the Radar Sensor had failed catastrophically and I had to take the vehicle in to the dealer where they, supposedly, performed some sort of an adjustment. During a phone call with a Honda representative, the representative claimed that "this would never happen again." However, what happens now is I get an error message claiming that there is a failure in the CMBS system, every time the Radar Sensor is blocked, directing me to "take the vehicle to the dealer." Hence, she lied. Furthermore, the failures indicate Honda's failure in producing a safety system that is reliable in a wide range of weather conditions. Please make Honda recall ALL the models which use the Radar Sensor and the CMBS that is similar to the one in the 2018 Accord before someone gets really hurt. Please.
