RATTLE/SQUEAK FROM HUD AREA OF DRIVER'S SIDE DASH AFTER VEHICLE HAS BEEN SITTING OUTDOORS IN THE HEAT. VEHICLE IS DRIVEN IN FLORIDA AND WHENEVER IT IS PARKED OUTSIDE, ESPECIALLY IF LEFT IN THE SUN, THERE IS A LOUD RATTLE/SQUEAK FROM THE HUD AREA OF THE DASH FOR SOME TIME AFTER. PASSENGERS IN THE CAR CONSTANTLY ASK WHAT THE NOISE IS. DEALER HAS BEEN UNABLE TO CORRECT THE ISSUE AND HONDA IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE. SEE NHTSA ID NUMBER 10136423 DATED APRIL 2018. ONLINE RESEARCH INDICATES THIS ISSUE ALSO EXISTS IN 2019 MODELS AS WELL. HONDA NEEDS TO FIND A SOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE AND IMPLEMENT A FIX FOR SOMETHING THEY HAVE KNOWN ABOUT FOR OVER A YEAR. THIS IS OUR SIXTH HONDA AND WE ARE FRUSTRATED THAT SOMETHING AS ANNOYING AS THIS WAS NOT DISCOVERED AND RESOLVED DURING THE VEHICLE'S DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING. THIS ISSUE WAS DISCOVERED DURING OUR FIRST WEEK OF OWNERSHIP AND WE HAVE DISCUSSED IT WITH THE DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES. THEY TELL US THAT HONDA IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND ARE AWAITING A FIX FROM HONDA. UNTIL THEN THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE BRAKES SEIZED WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. DURING THE MOST RECENT BRAKE FAILURE, THE VEHICLE HOPPED A CURB AND THE FRONT AND REAR DRIVER'S SIDE TIRES BECAME DAMAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR THE TIRE REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO CORAL SPRINGS HONDA (9400 W ATLANTIC BLVD, CORAL SPRINGS, FL 33071, (954) 369-4679) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE REPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,800.

IF ALLOWED TO CONTINUE WHILE ALLOWING THE SYSTEM TO CONTROL THE STEERING, THE VEHICLE WILL MAINTAIN THIS POSITION. *****WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WITH THE HONDA SENSING SUITE ON, THE VEHICLE WILL OCCASIONALLY REGISTER TAR PATCHES AND SKID MARKS AS LANE MARKERS AND ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION WILL ATTEMPT TO STEER AWAY FROM THE MARKING WHICH MEANS THE VEHICLE MAY OR MAY NOT ATTEMPT TO LEAVE ITS CURRENT LANE. *****THE ABOVE ARE REPRODUCED DAILY, ONE OF WHICH ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT BY ATTEMPTING TO STEER INTO (AND ALMOST REACHING BEFORE I COULD REACT) THE PICKUP TRUCK IN THE NEXT LANE. *****INCIDENT OCCURRED ONE TIME: DURING HEAVY BRAKING ON THE HIGHWAY TO AVOID A READ-END COLLISION, THE VEHICLE ATTEMPTED TO LEAVE ITS LANE. VEHICLE HAS APPROXIMATELY 6500 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME OF WRITING AND WAS PURCHASED IN MAY OF 2018.
THE CHECK TPMS SYSTEM LIGHT COMES ON. TIRE PRESSURE IS FINE.
SIMILAR TO NHTSB COMPLAINT ID# 11111897, VEHICLE LOST POWER WHILE IN MOTION ON 7/21/208 ON HIGHWAY IN CONGESTION WHILE RAINING. IT HAS SINCE BEEN TOWED TO HONDA DEALERSHIP WHERE CURRENTLY UNDERGOING REPAIR WORK. I WAS TOLD FUEL INJECTORS NEEDED REPLACEMENT UNDER WARRANTY. I HOPE THIS SOLVES THE ISSUE AND DOES NOT HAPPEN AGAIN AS I WAS PUT IN A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION THAT AFTERNOON.
I PURCHASED THE CAR JULY 3RD, 2018. DRIVING ON A TRIP AT AROUND 900 MILES AND HAD THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED. THE CAR MADE A BEEPING SOUND AND THE CRUISE CONTROL POWERED OFF. A MESSAGE CAME UP STATING COLLISION MITIGATION BREAKING SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE SERVICED. THE CRUISE WOULD NOT COME BACK ON. WHEN I ARRIVED AT THE DESTINATION I TURNED THE CAR OFF, AND UPON TURNING IT BACK ON THE WARNING WAS GONE. I DROVE HOME WITH NO PROBLEM.
I HAVE REVCIEVED THE "COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM PROBLEM" MULTIPLE TIMES. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY ADJUSTED THE BRAKE AND DID A SOFTWARE UPDATE BUT I CONTINUE TO GET THE SAME PROBLEM.
MY CAR `COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM` HAS GONE OUT SEVERAL TIMES. MY CAR HAS RATTLING SOUND FROM THE SOUND SYSTEM IN COLD DAYS. MY CAR ALSO HAS RATTLING SOUND WHEN DRIVING ON ROAD BUMPS.
JUST LIKE OTHERS HAVE SAID, I'M ALSO HAVING AN ISSUE WITH THE SENSITIVITY OF MY BRAKE PEDAL. THE BRAKE FEELS LIKE THERE ARE STEPS TO IT INSTEAD OF A SMOOTH LINEAR PEDAL. I HAVE NEVER DRIVEN A CAR WITH A BRAKE PEDAL LIKE THIS. FROM THE FIRST STOP LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP AFTER BUYING MY 2018 HONDA ACCORD 1.5, I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THE BRAKES. THE PEDAL FEELS BINARY LIKE THE BRAKES ARE EITHER ON OR OFF AND NOT SMOOTH AND LINEAR. IT'S EITHER FULL BRAKE OR NO BRAKE AND NO IN BETWEEN. THERE ARE STEPS TO THE BRAKE PEDAL AND IT MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO BRAKE SMOOTHLY. THIS HAS CAUSED BACK PAIN AND IF THE ACCORD I TEST DROVE FELT THAT WAY, I WOULD HAVE NEVER BOUGHT ONE. I DROVE A FRIEND'S 18 ACCORD AND IT DIDN'T FEEL THAT WAY AT ALL. IT'S BEEN TO THE DEALER TWICE NOW AND I TOLD THEM THE BRAKE BOOSTER IS LIKELY THE ISSUE AND THEY'VE JUST PUSHED BACK WITH "IT FEELS FINE" OR "IT NEEDS TO BREAK IN". WILL BE OPENING A COMPLAINT WITH HONDA OF AMERICA.
I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT DOWN A RESIDENTIAL STREET, ACCELERATING AND THE BRAKING SYSTEM AUTOMATICALLY STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND THE TRANSMISSION AUTOMATICALLY WENT INTO NEUTRAL. THE CAR MOTOR WAS STILL RUNNING BUT THE CAR WAS INOPERABLE. THE GEARSHIFT INDICATED THE CAR TO BE IN DRIVE BUT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I MOVED THROUGH THE AUTOMATIC GEAR SHIFT SELECTIONS BUT NOTHING HAPPENED. THE DASH BRAKE FAILURE CONTACT DEALER LIGHT APPEARED, THEN TRANSMISSION FAILURE CONTACT DEALER WARNING LIGHT APPEARED. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS INSTRUCTED TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND RESTART, WHICH I DID. THE CAR RESTARTED, THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS AND I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE ONE BLOCK TO HOME. THE DEALER TOLD ME TO DRIVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHICH I DID NOT DO AS I DID NOT FEEL IT WAS SAFE. IT WAS FORTUNATE I WAS NOT ON A FREEWAY OR IN TRAFFIC AS I MOST LIKELY WOULD HAVE BEEN REAR ENDED BECAUSE IT CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP UNEXPECTEDLY; FOR NO APPARENT REASON AND NO NOTICE LIKE BRAKE STOP LIGHTS TO WARN OTHER DRIVERS THE CAR WAS STOPPING. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.
TAKATA RECALL MY WINDSHIELD CRACKED BY ITSELF WHEN I TURNED THE CAR ON , WHILE SITTING ON MY GARAGE. AND IT HAS NO CHIP ON IT LIKE WHEN ROCKS HIT IT I HAD ONLY DROVE IT TWICE ONLY
COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM PROBLEM. SEE YOUR DEALER. WARNING LIGHT. VEHICLE IN MOTION IN A ROUND ABOUT TURNING RIGHT. LIGHT STAYED UNTIL CAR WAS TURNED OFF. THEN LIGHT WAS OFF.
IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE IN CHARLESTON, SC, I MADE A TRIP TO ATLANTA. DURING THE ROUND TRIP I NOTICED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AFTER MAKING A STOP, SUCH AS AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR THERE WAS NO RESPONSE. AFTER 4 OR 5 SECONDS THE ENGINE ACCELERATED AT SUCH A RATE THAT IT WAS DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. I KNEW THAT THIS PROBLEM WAS POTENTIALLY VERY DANGEROUS. IN FACT, I TOLD MY WIFE THAT SHE SHOULD NEVER DRIVE THE CAR UNTIL THIS PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED. AFTER RETURNING HOME FROM ATLANTA I TOOK MY CAR INTO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT RICK HENDRICKS'S HONDA IN CHARLESTON, SC WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR. I EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM TO THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN AND AFTER SEVERAL HOURS HE TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD TESTED THE CAR AND THAT THE PROBLEM I HAD WAS INHERENT TO THIS ACCORD AND I WOULD HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT. HE TOLD ME THAT I HAD BEEN DRIVING THE CAR IN ECON MODE AND THAT THIS PROBLEM WOULD NOT HAPPEN IF ECON MODE WAS 'OFF'. SO, I TURNED ECON MODE 'OFF' AND BEGAN DRIVING THE CAR OFF THE DEALER LOT AND WHEN I STOPPED AT THE FIRST STOP SIGN AND THEN BEGAN PROCEEDING, THERE WAS NO RESPONSE WHEN I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR. I REFUSE TO ACCEPT THE FACT THAT I HAVE PURCHASED A NEW CAR AND HAVE TO LIVE WITH A DEFECT THAT THE DEALER SAYS 'IT IS JUST THE WAY YOUR 2018 HONDA ACCORD WORKS'. I AM DRIVING AN AUTOMOBILE THAT POTENTIALLY MIGHT CAUSE INJURY TO MYSELF, PASSENGERS IN MY CAR, AND OTHER VEHICLES AS WELL.
1. CAR MULTIMEDIA UNIT (WITH A TOUCH-SCREEN) RANDOMLY FREEZES AND RESTARTS ITSELF. IT HAPPENED TO ME 9 TIMES ALREADY SINCE I BOUGHT A CAR IN JUNE 2018. IF YOU USE NAVIGATION SYSTEM OR NEED SCREEN FOR OTHER ACTIVITIES WHILE YOU DRIVING - YOU ARE IN TROUBLE, BECAUSE YOU WILL LOSE ALL THE CONTENT YOU HAD ON THE SCREEN BEFORE THE RESTART AND IT WILL DISTRACT YOU FROM THE DRIVING. AFTER RESTART SYSTEM IS VERY SLOW AND IT FORCES YOU TO ACCEPT LEGAL DECLAIMER WHILE YOU DRIVING! TWO TIMES IT JUST FROZE WITHOUT RESTART AND I HAD TO STOP THE CAR, TURN THE ENGINE OFF AND ON AGAIN, TO REMOVE THE PROBLEM. VERY ANNOYING AND ALSO NOT SAFE BECAUSE IT DISTRACTS YOU. ONE TIME IT HAPPENED WHILE I WAS BACKING UP USING REAR VIEW CAMERA, WHICH ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY, MAINLY WHEN I'M DRIVING. IT HAPPENS WHEN DEVICES ARE ATTACHED TO THE MULTIMEDIA UNIT AND WITHOUT ANY DEVICES BEING ATTACHED OR USED. IT HAPPENS AT NIGHT AND DAY TIME AND I DOUBT IT IS RELATED TO OVERHEATING. IT CAN HAPPEN DURING LONG DRIVE AS WELL AS 5-10 MINUTES AFTER THE ENGINE START. NO VISIBLE PATTERN HERE. OCEAN HONDA OF BURLINGAME DEALERSHIP IN BAY AREA IS NOT HELPFUL AND TOTALLY NOT PROFESSIONAL. BEEN THERE TWICE, NO LUCK. THEY DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE PROPERLY ALWAYS TRYING TO SEARCH FOR FAULT IN MY ACTIONS OR BLAME COMPATIBLE DEVICES ATTACHED TO CIGARETTE POWER SLOT. AMERICAN HONDA ADVISED ME TO VIDEO RECORD THIS ACTIVITY WHILE I'M DRIVING !!!! STILL NO RESOLUTION. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN HONDA 2. SENSORS ARE NOT PROPERLY SETUP BECAUSE IT "THINKS" THAT THERE'S A CAR AHEAD OF YOU IF SENSOR DETECT SHADOW ON A ROAD, ETC. CAR APPLIED BREAKS FEW TIMES WITHOUT A REASON. DIDN'T GO TO DEALERSHIP WITH THIS PROBLEM YET.
ALL HONDA SENSING LIGHTS GOES OFF AND SEE THE DEALER MESSAGE SHOWN ON SCREEN.
ON 3 SEPERATE OCCASIONS THE CAR HAS SEEN A SHADOW ON THE GROUND AND SLAMMED ON BRAKES THEN RELEASING FOR NO REASON. THERE WERE NO OTHER VEHICLES AROUND ME ON EACH OCCASION. I THOUGHT THE CAR WAS STOPPING ON A YELLOW LIGHT ON THE FIRST INCIDENT BUT WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT IT DOESN'T DO THAT. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. I ASKED THE SERVICE MANAGER TO DISABLE IT BUT WAS TOLD HE CAN'T DO THAT WHEN IT IS POSSIBLE BECAUSE THIS IS AN ADDED FEATURE.
CAR HAS A SAFETY SENSOR SYSTEM CALLED CMBS (COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM) THAT IS SUPPOSED TO HELP YOU AVOID COLLISIONS. ON 2 OCCASIONS THIS BRAKING SYSTEM HAS ENGAGED FOR NO APPARENT REASON CAUSING THE CAR TO BRAKE ABRUPTLY IN TRAFFIC CREATING EXTREME ACCIDENT POTENTIAL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING 30-40 MPH AND MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE LANE ASSIST SYSTEM AND LANE MITIGATION WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. IN THE MIDDLE OF COMPLETING THE TURN, THE LANE MITIGATION FEATURE ACTIVATED AND STEERED THE VEHICLE TO THE RIGHT. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE STRUCK A BOULDER AND FRACTURED THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SUSPENSION, WHICH DAMAGED THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO CORAL SPRINGS AUTO MALL (9300 W ATLANTIC BLVD, CORAL SPRINGS, FL 33071, (954) 369-1016) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A MISCOMMUNICATION BETWEEN SEVERAL OF THE SAFETY FEATURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 HONDA ACCORD. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, THE PASSENGER AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR FAILED TO ILLUMINATE 'OFF'. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE DASHBOARD VIBRATED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WHILE DRIVING; HOWEVER, THE VIBRATION STOPPED WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED TWICE FOR THE VIBRATION FAILURE AT HONDA WINDWARD (45-671 KAMEHAMEHA HWY, KANEOHE, HI 96744, (808) 247-8544). THE DEALER STATED THAT A NEW AIR CONDITIONING BELT WAS TAPED ONTO THE UNIT. THE BELT WAS COVERED WITH FOAM TO KEEP IT ATTACHED TO THE UNIT. AS THE BELT PRESSED AGAINST THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT IT MADE A NOISE AND, COUPLED WITH AN UNKNOWN OBJECT UNDER THE DASHBOARD, CAUSED A VIBRATION. THE AIR BAG FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. NEITHER THE AIR BAG OR VIBRATION FAILURE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,090. *TT
AT 670 MILES, I WAS DRIVING SLOWLY AROUND A CORNER WHEN I HEARD A LONG BEEP FOLLOWED BY A "COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM PROBLEM. SEE YOUR DEALER" MESSAGE. THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL ALSO STOPPED WORKING. I RESTARTED THE CAR AND THE ERROR WENT AWAY. ABOUT A WEEK LATER AT 813 MILES, I WAS DRIVING IN A STRAIGHT ROAD AT 55 MPH WITH THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED WHEN I HEARD A LONG BEEP, THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL DISENGAGED, AND I RECEIVED THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE AS BEFORE. RESTARTING THE VEHICLE CLEARS THE ERROR AND ALLOWS THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL TO WORK AGAIN UNTIL THE NEXT TIME IT OCCURS. BOTH TIMES THIS HAS HAPPENED WERE ON WARM, SUNNY, CLEAR DAYS WITH DRY ROADS AND NO OBSTRUCTIONS IN FRONT OF THE RADAR OR CAMERA UNITS. YESTERDAY, THE CMBS FAILED TO ALERT ME TO A FOUR-WHEELER THAT DROVE ACROSS THE STREET IN FRONT OF ME AND IT SEEMS LESS SENSITIVE AT DETECTING OTHER VEHICLES NOW - EVEN WHEN THERE ARE NO ERROR MESSAGES OR WARNING INDICATORS PRESENT.
HAZE ON BOTH LED HEADLIGHT LENS, HONDA STATES ITS NORMAL. I HAVE NEVER SEEN HAD THIS HAPPEN ON A NEW CAR.

LOUD RATTLING NOISE COMING FROM THE DASH ON THE LEFT SIDE IN THE DRIVER'S AREA. SEEMS TO OCCUR AT ALL SPEEDS, REGARDLESS OF AMBIENT TEMPERATURE. IN DECEMBER 2018 I WAS INFORMED BY LOCAL DEALERSHIP THAT HONDA WORKING ON A "FIX" BUT I HAVE SEEN NOTHING YET ABOUT A TSB OR RECALL. NOTICED NOISE NOT LONG AFTER PURCHASING VEHICLE IN FEB 2018. ANNOYING FOR A NEW CAR TO BE NOISY.
VEHICLE LOSES POWER ON A HIGHWAY IN CONGESTION WHEN IT IS RAINING
AT ONLY 4,200 MILES MY 2018 HONDA ACCORD SPORT 1.5L TURBO BEGAN HAVING AN EXTREMELY ANNOYING STEERING ISSUE. IT IS NOTICEABLE AT ALL SPEEDS, BUT IS TRULY SIGNIFICANT AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE STEERING NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED ABOUT EVERY 10 SECONDS, MOVING IT SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT, THEN 10 SECONDS LATER, SLIGHTLY TO THE LEFT, OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR THE ENTIRE TRIP. ON LONG TRIPS THE ISSUE IS ALMOST UNBEARABLE AS I SPEND THE WHOLE TIME CORRECTING THE STEERING. I'VE HAD MANY CARS IN THE PAST THAT HAVE NEEDED WHEEL ALIGNMENTS, BUT THIS IS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT FEEL. THE STEERING WHEEL (OR WHEELS) SEEM TO ACTUALLY STICK SLIGHTLY WHEN SLIGHTLY MOVING IT TO THE RIGHT OR LEFT. AFTER PUTTING ENOUGH PRESSURE ON THE THE STEERING WHEEL, IT WILL ALL OF A SUDDEN MOVE BUT NEVER IN A SMOOTH MANNER, AGAIN IT SEEMS SLIGHTLY STUCK AND THEN JERKS TO THE SIDE THAT I'M TRYING TO CORRECT TO. I'VE NOW HAD TWO TIRE ROTATIONS (THINKING MAYBE IT WAS A TIRE PROBLEM) AND EVEN PAID FOR A WHEEL ALIGNMENT, BUT THE PROBLEM REMAINS THE SAME. ON MAY 25TH, I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN I NOTICED THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT FLASHING ON THE DASHBOARD. I WAS THE ONLY VEHICLE ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT APPEARED. ON MAY 29TH, I TOOK MY CAR TO A LOCAL DEALERSHIP FOR AN INSPECTION. THE DEALER DID NOT FIND ANY ERRORS WHEN THEY PUT IT ON THE COMPUTER.
I HAVE HAD SEVERAL OCCURRENCES OF A WARNING THAT STATES "COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM PROBLEM. PLEASE SEE YOUR DEALER." THIS ERROR MESSAGE WILL POP UP RANDOMLY WITH NO PATTERN WHILE USING THE ADVANCED CRUISE CONTROL FUNCTION ON MY VEHICLE. WHILE THIS ERROR IS PRESENT I AM NOT ABLE TO USE ANY KIND OF CRUISE CONTROL SETTINGS. I WAS HAVE SEEN MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER ABOUT THIS ISSUE MULTIPLE TIMES AND HAVE BEEN GIVEN MANY HORRIBLE SOLUTIONS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD TO JUST PULL THE VEHICLE OVER AND RESTART IT TO CLEAR THE ERRORS OUT. I HAVE ALSO BEEN TOLD BY MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP THAT THE CAMERA IS JUST DIRTY AND THAT I NEED TO CARRY A BOTTLE OF WATER AND A RAG TO WIPE OFF THE WINDSHIELD ANYTIME IT HAPPENS. I HAVE TRIED BOTH OF THESE SOLUTIONS SEVERAL TIMES AND NEITHER HAS WORKED. IN FACT EVERY TIME I ATTEMPT TO TURN OFF AND RESTART MY VEHICLE I HAVE EIGHT OTHER SAFETY SYSTEM FAILURE MESSAGES THAT POPULATE.

SOON AS I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THIS TIME WHEN I GOT OFF THE PHONE THE AUDIO DISPLAY FROZE. I COULDN'T GET ON THE HOME SCREEN, CHANGE THE RADIO STATION. THEN AFTER A FEW MINUTES IT TURNED OFF AND REBOOTED ITSELF. I CALLED THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY TO REPORT THE ISSUE. I PURCHASED THE CAR IN DEC 2017AND THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ZIMBRICK HONDA (LOCATED AT 1601 W BELTLINE HWY, MADISON, WI 53713, (608) 273-2555) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE OR DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
MAY 13TH, 2018 DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY DOING 50-55 GOING EASTBOUND ON THE BAY BRIDGE IN SAN FRANCISCO -'OUT OF NO WHERE' THE ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE CAME ON! AND I DIDN'T PUSH NO BUTTONS! NOT QUITE SURE OF THE MALFUNCTIONING, BUT IT COST AN ACCIDENT' CAUSE SOMEONE HIT ME FROM BEHIND! ALSO MY AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY, BUT WHEN HONDA LINK ASSISTANT CALLED AND WE WAS TOLD- 'THEY SENSE AN ACCIDENT CAUSE OF DEPLOYED AIRBAGS.' I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE A CAR THAT NEARLY KILLED US.
AT HIGHER RATES OF SPEED, THE FRONT HOOD VIBRATES SIGNIFICANTLY. NOT ONLY IS THIS ANNOYING BUT IT IS ALSO FRIGHTENING. I THOUGHT THAT HOOD WAS ABOUT TO FLY OFF THE VEHICLE WHEN I WAS TRAVELING OUT OF STATE. I EVEN CONTACTED HONDA DEALERS WHERE I WAS TO SEE IF I COULD GET SOMEONE TO LOOK AT THIS ON AN EMERGENCY BASIS. WHEN I GOT HOME, I TOOK BACK TO MY DEALER AND I WAS TOLD THAT THEY REARRANGED A SEAL BUT ALSO THAT IS WHAT 2018 HONDA ACCORDS DO...THEY VIBRATE. BASICALLY, I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT THE PROBLEM. THE ISSUE REMAINS.
TERRIBLE PAIN IN LEGS, ESPECIALLY LEFT LEG, AND BUTTOCKS WHEN DRIVING THIS CAR. HAVE TRIED EVERY VARIATION OF SEAT ADJUSTMENTS (AND DO HAVE LUMBAR SUPPORT) AND PILLOWS, BUT NO HELP. MY PHYSICAL THERAPIST SAYS IT IS BEST TO SIT WITH SPINE AND LEGS AT 90 DEGREES, HEAD STRAIGHT ON TOP OF SPINE. THIS CAR SEAT FORCES HEAD FORWARD AND BUTT LOWER THAN KNEES. AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS, I GAVE UP -MAKING ME MISERABLE. I WAS LUCKILY ABLE TO GO BACK TO OLD CAR WHICH IS MORE COMFORTABLE. IT CAN'T BE SAFE TO DRIVE WHEN IN THIS MUCH PAIN. I HAVE ALSO TRIED MOST OF THE OTHER IIHS TSP SEDANS AND WOULD REALLY LIKE TO HAVE THE NEWER SAFETY DEVICES (LIKE BACK UP CAMERA, ADAPTIVE CRUISE, LANE KEEPING ASSIST, BLIND SPOT ALERTS) BUT ALL SEEM TO BE JUST AS UNCOMFORTABLE. CAN'T OUR ENGINEERS MANAGE TO MEET SAFETY AND COMFORT NEEDS? THANKS.
I HAVE A 2018 HONDA ACCORD 2.0T TOURING. I HAVE NUMEROUS INCIDENTS WHERE THE COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM HAS GONE OUT GIVING AN AMBER DASH WARNING TO SEE THE DEALER. THIS HAS HAPPENED 6 TIMES ALL WHEN THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ENGAGED. IT ALSO DISABLED THE CRUSE CONTROL. ALL 6 TIMES I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE. THE ROAD WAS FLAT AND STRAIGHT AND IT WAS A CLEAR SUNNY DAY WITH NO OTHER CAR IN THE VICINITY .THE RADAR UNIT AND CAMERA WERE FREE OF BUGS. MOST TIMES, UPON SHUTTING OFF THE CAR AND RESTARTING EVERYTHING RETURNS TO NORMAL. HOWEVER, ONE TIME UPON RESTARTING THE CAR THE PHONE ,RADIO NAVIGATION, ADAPTIVE CRUSE CONTROL, CRUSE CONTROL AND COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM WOULD NOT COME BACK AND I HAD TO TAKE THE CAR TO THE DEALER. THIS CAR WAS TAKEN TO HONDA OF EL CAJON, CA ON 4/21/18 AND CHAPMAN HONDA, AZ ON 7/31/18 AND 7/3/19. NO PROBLEM WAS FOUND ALL 3 TIMES

BOUGHT THIS CAR ON MARCH 30,2018 NEW AT GREAT LAKES HONDA IN AKRON , OHIO. AS SOON AS I DROVE HOME , I NOTICED THAT THE ENGINE ACCELERATE . DID NOT FEEL SAFE. TOOK IT TO THE HONDA STORE IN YOUNGSTOWN , OHIO ON 4/10/2018. 10 DAYS LATER, THE DEALER DOES NOT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CAR. DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THE CAR IS SAFE. CALLED THE SELLING DEALER( GREAT LAKES HONDA) SEVERAL TIMES AND LEFT MESSAGES .THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK.TI BELIEVE THEY KNOW THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THEN CAR.
Whilst driving on the freeway, on multiple occasions, the automatic emergency braking system of the car engaged even though there was no car near me whether in front, to the sides or behind. On one of the occasions the automatic breaks kicked in with no car around me or in front of me, I estimate I was travelling around 60 mph and the car immediately braked down straight to around 30-40 mph. If there had been a car travelling behind me I most certainly would have been rear ended. This issue is clearly a safety risk for myself and other drivers. Unfortunately, in my research online I haven't seen anything from Honda regarding this issue. I have not addressed this issue with the Honda dealer as per my research online from reports from other people with the same issue, the dealer doesn't do anything about the issue, therefore I haven't bothered taking the vehicle into the dealer. This braking issue occurred soon after I purchased the vehicle in February of 2018, within a month or two as I recall. There were no warning lamps or messages or symptoms prior to the problem ocurring.

BRAKES PEDAL MAKING A LOUD THUMPING SOUND. DEALER WILL NOT FIX. SINCE IT INVOLVES BRAKES I FEEL IT SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FURTHER.
THE BRAKES GRAB HARD. THE PEDAL GOES DOWN A LITTLE AND THEN THE BRAKES SEEM TO LOCK UP. WE BOUGHT THE CAR WITH 2 MILES ON IT THE SAME DAY IT WAS DELIVERED TO THE DEALERSHIP. IMMEDIATELY IT WAS APPARENT THERE WAS A PROBLEM. THEY TOLD US TO DRIVE IT A WHILE AND IT WOULD GO AWAY. IT HAS NOT. 2 WEEKS LATER I TOLD THEM AGAIN. WE HAVE TOLD THEM ABOUT THE PROBLEM 4 TIMES AND THEY SAY NO ONE ELSE HAS COMPLAINED WITH THAT PROBLEM. IT HAS ALMOST 35,000 MILES ON IT AND THEY SAY IT WILL COST ME TO FIX IT, ASSUMING THEY CAN FIND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. H E L P !!!!
THE BRAKING SYSTEM HESITATES AND GRABS. IT IS LIKE THERE ARE SEVERAL STAGES OR STEPS IN THE BRAKE. IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO STOP SMOOTHLY. AS YOU PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL IN, THE CAR DOESN'T SLOW NORMALLY UNTIL YOU HIT A "STEP" OR "NOTCH" AND THEN IT JUST SLOWS DOWN RAPIDLY AND YOU GO FORWARD IN YOUR SEAT. THIS PROBLEM BEGAN AS THE VEHICLE HAD AROUND 400 MILES ON IT. THE VEHICLE DID NOT HAVE THE PROBLEM WHEN I TOOK IT OFF THE LOT THE FIRST TIME, AND OTHER NEW ACCORDS I HAVE DRIVEN DO NOT HAVE THE PROBLEM.
BRAKES DO NOT STOP SMOOTHLY, THERE IS A DEAD SPOT IN THE BRAKE PEDAL THAT TAKES EXTRA PRESSURE TO GET THE CAR TO STOP. MAKES THE CAR STOP SUDDENLY WHEN TRYING TO BRAKE SMOOTHLY. DEALER ACKNOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM AND REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER WITH NO FIX AND NOW DEALER SAYS THEY NEEX TO WAIT FOR AMERICAN HONDA TO ALLOW THEM TO REPLACE THE BRAKE BOOSTER THAT HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL FOR OTHERS ON HONDA FORUMS
WHENEVER I PUT THE CAR IN GEAR AND START DRIVING FORWARD A LIABILITY NOTICE COMES UP ON THE LARGE DISPLAY SCREEN ASKING ME TO READ IT AND PUSH OK - SIGNIFYING THAT I READ THE MESSAGE AND CERTIFYING THAT I WILL BE A SAFE DRIVER (WHILE DRIVING). THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY DISTRACTION. I ASKED MY HONDA DEALER TO REMOVE IT AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT AS IT PROVIDED LIABILITY PROTECTION FOR HONDA. THIS "LEGAL NOTICE" CAUSES DISTRACTED DRIVING.
I AM EXPERIENCING BRAKE PEDAL ISSUES. AS I PUT PRESSURE ON TO SLOW DOWN, AT ANY SPEED, IT FEELS LIKE THE BRAKE PEDAL GETS "STUCK", THEN IT GRABS HARD AND LURCHES YOU FORWARD IN YOUR SEAT. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO THE DEALER THAT I BOUGHT IT FROM TWICE IN 2 WEEKS AND THEY HAVE STATED BOTH TIMES THAT NONE OF THEIR STAFF CAN DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND IT HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED AS OF 3/7/18. THE PROBLEM WAS FIRST DOCUMENTED WITH AROUND 200 MILES ON THE CAR.
PROBLEM WITH FUEL FILLER LID ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY FREEZES CAUSES INABILITY TO PUSH IN AND OPEN THE FUEL DOOR. DEALER CONTENDS THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE BUT NO ETA ON REPAIR. I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO LOCATE OTHER COMPLAINTS SIMILAR TO THIS ONLINE AND HONDA HAS NOT RESPONDED DIRECTLY TO A TICKET OPENED ON THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SITE.
THREE TIMES DURING THE FIRST 1500 MILES THE COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM HAS FAILED, DISABLING THAT FEATURE AND ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, DISPLAYING A LARGE DIAGNOSTIC ON THE ELECTRONIC DASHBOARD AND TELLING ME TO SEE MY DEALER. IN ALL CASES I WAS DRIVING IN NORMAL TRAFFIC ON NORTHERN CALIFORNIA FREEWAYS AT CRUISING SPEED (TWICE ON 101, ONCE ON 80). THE FIRST TWO FAILURES OCCURRED DURING DAYTIME, THE THIRD AT NIGHT. THE WEATHER IN ALL CASES WAS NORMAL (NO RAIN, SNOW, MUD, ...) .WHEN I VISITED THE DEALER AFTER THE FIRST TWO OCCURRENCES (WHEN THE CAR IS TURNED OFF AND THEN BACK ON THE CONDITION CLEARS) THE DEALER FOUND NO DIAGNOSTIC CODES OR OTHER PROBLEMS. THEN THE PROBLEM OCCURRED A THIRD TIME. THE DEALER AND HONDA CORPORATE SAY THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO FIX IT BECAUSE OF THE ABSENCE OF DIAGNOSTIC CODES.
SERIOUS CRASH CONTROL PROBLEM. I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE FREEWAY IN HEAVY TRAFFIC AND A CAR CUT IN FRONT OF ME. AS I WAS TRYING TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT A LARGE "BRAKE" IMAGE APPEARED ON MY SPEEDOMETER DISPLAY DISTRACTING MY EYES AWAY FROM THE ROAD. THE "SAFETY FEATURE" ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HAVE A CRASH. I ASKED THE DEALERSHIP TO DISABLE THE COLLISION PREVENTION SYSTEM BUT THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT. THIS "SAFETY TECHNOLOGY" ALMOST CAUSED ME TO BE IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT BY DISTRACTING ME FROM THE ROAD.

THEY ADVISED YES THE VEHICLE HAS A FAILED BRAKE BOOSTER AND IS ON A NATIONAL BACK ORDER. I AM CURRENTLY DRIVING MY NEW CAR WITH A FAILED BOOSTER WAITING ON HONDA TO FIX IT. I HOPE THIS IS SAFE THAT THAT MY BRAND NEW CAR ISN'T BEING DAMAGED WAITING FOR THIS PART.
