WHEN DRIVING, FELT LIKE CAR WAS GOING OVER SPEEDBUMPS. BOTH GAS PEDAL AND STERRING WHEEL WERE SHAKING...HAD A FRIEND DRIVE IT AND HE THOUGHT IT WAS THE TIRES. GOT OUT TO TAKE A LOOK AND SAW ABOUT A 6INCH TEAR WHERE THE TREAD HAD COME APART FROM THE TIRE...CHECKED OTHER TIRES- SEEMS TO JSUT BEGUN ON FRONT RIGHT TIRE AS WELL...FIRESTONE NEEDS TO GET THIER STUFF TOGETHER BECAUSE THESE TIRES ARE YET TO BE RECALLED AND ARE OBVIOUSLY DEFECTIVE. *AK (DOT NUMBER: EM9PDAB347 TIRESIZE: P175/65R14)
THE RIGHT STEERING ARM WAS RUSTED AND BROKEN AT THE BASE, WHICH CAUSED INJURY AND DAM NEAR KILLED MY ENTIRE FAMILY. MY WIFE WAS FOUR MONTH PREGNANT. I AM REQUESTING $250,000.00 FOR PUNITIVE DAMAGES AND INJURIES SUBSTAINED BY WIFE, INFANT DAUGHTER, AND UNBORN CHILD. THE HONDA CORP. DEFECTIVE VEHICLE CAUSED THIS ACCIDENT ON 08/18/00 AND HONDA REPLACED A DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION ON THE VEHICLE SEVERAL MONTHS EARLIER. THE VEHICLE WASN'T SAFE (LEMON) AND HONDA SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 20 MPH WAS GETTING NEAR A TURN CONSUMER KEPT STEERING TO LEFT. THEN, TRIED TO STRAIGHT OUT STEERING WHEEL, BUT STEERING KEPT TO LEFT, CAUSINGVEHICLE TO KEEP TURN AND CRASHING INTO TREES. TOWING PERSON FIND OUT THAT STEERING ROD WAS RUSTED. *AK

WHILE DRIVING AT 30 MPH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING LOWER BALL CONTROL ARM BECAME LOOSE, AND THE FRONT WHEEL FELL SIDEWAYS. ALSO, REAR AXLE SNAPPED, AND THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE BLEW OUT. *AK
DRIVING BEHIND A VAN AT APPROXIMATELY 40MPH, VEHICLE IN FRONT SWERVED TO AVOID HITTING GARAGE. WHEN CONSUMER REALIZED WHAT WAS GOING ON SLAMMED ON BRAKES AND CAR SKIDDED ABOUT 20 FEET AFTER BRAKES LOCKED UP, RESULTING IN A CRASH. UPON IMPACT, DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. CONTACTED DEALER. *AK
STRIKER PLATE WELDS ON CHASSIS OF VEHICLE HAVE CRACKED CAUSING THE DOOR TO CLOSE IMPROPERLY. MR
SRS WARNING LIGHT IS ON AND WON'T GO OFF. *AK
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION, AND AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. DRIVER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. THE DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
MY DAUGHTER (DRIVING) AND MY NIECE, COMING FROM HIGH SCHOOL IN HER 1995 HONDA CIVIC ENTERED A STRAIGHT STRETCH OF HIGHWAY, WHEN THE CAR SUDDENLY SWERVED THE LEFT. SHE OVER COMPENSATED AND DROVE THE CAR INTO A DIRT DITCH/EMBANKMENT. THE CAR THEN FLIPPED OVER A DRIVEWAY AND LANDED ONTO ITS WHEELS BACK IN THE DITCH. THE DRIVERS' REAR TIRE AND PASSENGER'S FRONT TIRE WERE DEFLATED BY THE IMPACT OF THE CAR HITTING THE GROUND. THE FRONT SPOILER AND PASSENGER'S WHEEL WELL WAS KNOCKED COMPLELY OFF THE CAR DUE TO THE IMPACT INTO THE DIRT EMBANKMENT. THE AIRBAGS IN THE DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS SIDES FAILED TO DEPLOY.MY DAUGTHER SUBSTAINED CUTS ON HER NOSE AND THE SIDE OF HER FACE WHICH REQUIRED EIGHTEEN STITCHES TO CLOSE.MY NIECE GOT A BUMP ON THE BACK OF HER HEAD .THANK GOD THEY WERE BOTH WEARING SEATBELTS AND DIDN'T RECEIVE FURTHER INJURIES.
WHEN MAKING A LEFT OR RIGHT TURN THERE IS A CLUNKING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. IT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING IS GOING TO BREAK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALERSHIP WHERE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THAT THE AXLE ANDCV BOOT NEED TO BE REPLACED. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
CV JOINT BOOT TEARS AND BREAKS DOWN, CAUSING A CLUNKING NOISE.

WHEN NORMAL PRESSURE IS APPLIED TO BRAKES ON A LIGHTLY WET ROAD, THE ABS PULSED, AND THE CAR SKIDDED ABOUT 30 FEET AND COLLIDED INTO THE REAR END OF ANOTHER VEHICLE.
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION AT AN IMPACT OF APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH IN WHICH BOTH AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. DEALER/MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED. CAN NHTSA PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS MATTER. *AK
AIR CONDITIONING UNIT STARTED BLOWING HOT AIR LAST SUMMER (1998), WAITED TILL THIS SUMMER TO HAVE AIR CONDITIONING RECHARGED. WAS INFORMED BY DEALERSHIP (BEDARD BROS.) THAT THE CONDENSER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, AND SO DID OTHER COMPONENTS AT THE RATE OF $380 TOTAL. A/C UNIT IS THE NEW TYPE OF A/C WITHOUT FREON. *AK
CONSUMER WAS INVOVLED IN AN ACCIDENT IN WHICH ANOTHER VEHICLE STRUCK CONSUNER FROM LEFT FRONT BUMPER AND DRIVER'S SIDE, CAUSING CONSUMER'S HEAD HIT THE FRONT WINDSHIELD DUE TO SEAT BELT RETRACTOR FAILURE, AND DELAY IN AIR BAGS DEPLOYMENT WHICH CAUSED INJURY TO CONSUMER NECK. DEALER/MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED. *AK

AIR CONDITIONER WILL ONLY WORK FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES AND THEN SHUT OFF; IF THE SWITCHES ARE TURNED ON AND OFF, SOMETIMES IT MAY COME BACK ON FOR ANOTHER 10 OR SO MINUTES (TO APPROX 55 DEGREES WHEN IT WORKS).
VEHICLE WILL NOT MOVE DUE TO FAULTY CLUTCH. *SLC
DURING COLLISION VEHICLE BROKE IN TWO AT IMPACT DUE TO NUMEROUS WELDS SHOWING LITTLE OR NO SIGNS OF METALLIC BONDING.
DRIVER WAS TRAVELING A5 ABOUT 55 MPH WHEN HE FELL ASLEEP AND HAD A FRONTAL IMPACT WITH A HIGHWAY GUARDRAIL, VEERED INTO BRIDGE GUARDRAIL. NO DEPLOYMENT OF DRIVER'S/PASSNGER'S AIR BAGS UPON IMPACT, RESULTING IN A FATALITY AND INJURY. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED.

WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY FOR ABOUT 30-45 MINUTES, IT CAUGHT ON FIRE AND BURNED UP. OWNER NOT SURE WHAT STARTED THE FIRE. FIRE WAS PUT OUT BY FIRE DEPARTMENT. ALSO DRIVER'S SEAT BELT FAILED TO RETRACT. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH THE VEHICLE HAD DIRECT FRONTAL IMPACT IN WHICH THE DEFECTIVE DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, NOT PROTECTING THE OCCUPANT IN THE ACCIDENT. NO PRIOR PROBLEMS. *AK ONE PERSON WAS INJURED IN ACCIDENT. *SLC
CONSUMER WAS DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, APPLIED BRAKES, AND VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE HARD UNTIL IT MADE A COMPLETE STOP. VEHICLE WAS SERVICED APPROXIMATELY 5 TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM IN AUGUST, 97 AND COULD NOT FIND PROBLEM. IN SEPTEMBER, 97 DEALERSHIP TURNED THE ROTORS, AND IN APRIL, 98 ALL FOUR ROTORS AND FOUR SETS OF BRAKES WERE REPLACED, AND WHEEL ALIGNMENT DONE. IN APRIL, 99 ROTORS TURNED AGAIN. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A HONDA SPECIALIST, TURNED ROTORS, REPLACED BRAKES AND VIBRATION HAD STOPPED. *AK
FLOOR MAT DOESN'T STICK IN PLACE, AND IT GETS UNDER THROTTLE CLUTCH AND BRAKES. CONSUMER CONTACTED MANUFACTURER. *AK
THE VEHICLE WAS REARENDED AND THE PASSENGER'S SEAT FULLY RECLINED ON IMPACT, AND THE DRIVER'S SEAT BROKE OFF OF THE BASE. *AK
HEADLIGHTS FAIL TO OPERATE DURING NORMAL OPERATION OF VEHICLE, CONSUMER DETERMINED HEADLIGHT HARNESS WAS CAUSING A SWITCH TO BURN OUT/MELT, RESULTING IN FAILURE OF THE HEADLIGHTS. DEALERSHIP HAS NOT EXAMINED VEHICLE TO DETERMINE A CAUSE FOR THIS PROBLEM. *AK *SLC

VEHICLE HAD TIRES CHANGED SEVERAL TIMES; DEALER SAID WHEELS OUT OF ALIGNMENT; HAD CHANGED TIRES/BRAKES PAD; ON 3RD SET OF TIRES WHICH ARE WORN, WILL NEED ANOTHER SET SOON; DEALER SAID TO CHECK W/ATTORNEY. *AK
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION, IMPACT 12:00 POSITION, S[EED 45MPH, DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A CAR COLLISION, SIDE SWAPPED ANOTHER VEHICLE AND SLID OFF THE ROAD AND HIT A TREE HEAD-ON AND THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK

BLOWS OUT WARM AIR, OCCASIONALLY WILL BLOW A FEW MINUTES OF COOL AIR AND THEN GO WARM AGAIN. HAVE TO TURN ON AND OFF TO GET THAT FEW MINUTES OF COOL AIR.
