FILLED FUEL TANK ON MY WAY TO WORK, AFTER DRIVING TO WORK ON THE FREEWAY COULD SMELL FUEL, THOUGHT IT COULD JUST BE RESIDUAL ON MY HANDS SINCE I JUST FILLED UP. WENT TO LUNCH AND SMELLED FUEL AGAIN ONLY STRONGER NOW, WHEN I BACKED OUT OF THE PARKING SPACE TO RETURN TO WORK I NOTICED A LARGE WET SPOT UNDER MY CAR, GOT OUT AND LOOKED UNDER MY CAR, COULD SEE BOTTOM OF FUEL TANK WAS WET. DROVE TO WORK, REMOVED MY REAR SEAT TO ACCESS TOP OF TANK, NOTICED FUEL WAS LEAKING OUT OF TOP OF FUEL PUMP WHEN THE KEY IS TURNED ON, WENT TO HONDA DEALER NEAR MY WORK AND PURCHASED A PUMP, PARTS ASSOCIATE MENTIONED THEY FAIL REGULARLY, SEEMS TO ME THERE SHOULD BE SOME SORT OF RECALL FOR A FUEL LEAK THAT HAPPENS REGULARLY.
DRIVING THE LIGHT ON D START FLASHING THE CAR WOULDNT MOVE SO I PUT IT IN 2 IT BARELY MOVE I TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC NOW THEY ARE TELLING ME I NEED A SHIFT SUTHERLINE A AND NOBOFY IN JAMAICA HAS IT NOW IM OUT OF A CAR
I WAS HEADING HOME ON 4/30/2017 APPROX 2 MINS AWAY WHEN MY CAR WAS CUT OFF FROM ANOTHER SUV CUT INFRONT OF ME. SHE MISJUDGED THE DISTANCE AND MY CAR IMMEDIATELY CRASHED INTO HER CAR. I WAS GOING ABOUT 45 MPH MAYBE A LITTLE MORE. AFTER THE CRASH MY CAR HAD COMPLETELY STOPPED AND THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEFLATE ALL THE WAY.
TAKATA RECALL I HAD LET MY BROTHER USED MY 2005 HONDA CIVIC HE WAS DRIVING IN A CITY ROAD SOMEONE RUN A RED LIGHT AND MY VEHICLE IMPACT THE OTHER VEHICLE CAUSING DR AIRBAG TO DEPLOY METALS CAME OUT OF AIRBAG AND GOT CUTS ON HIS NECK LOST A LOT OF BLOOD AND WAS RUSH TO THE HOSPITAL HE WAS LUCKY
DASH AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON ALL TIME FROM ABOUT TWO MONTHS.
TAKATA RECALL I'M VERY CONCERNED THAT MY CAR SHOULD BE IN ALL THE RECALLS SINCE *I CARRY INFANTS, CHILDREN, AND ADULTS AS PASSENGERS!* WITH SO MANY OTHER YEARS BEFORE AND AFTER MINE WAS MADE ARE INCLUDED. MY AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT HAS BEEN ON AND MY MECHANIC SAID THAT IT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.
TAKATA RECALL THE JOLIET DODGE SUPERSTORE AT 3225 PLAINFIELD ROAD IN JOLIET, ILLINOIS, 60431 SUPPOSEDLY REPLACED MY DEFECTIVE AIR BAG. SINCE THAT TIME THE AIR BAG LIGHT HAS REMAINED ON. IT IS CLEAR THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE AIR BAG THAT THEY EITHER INSTALLED OR CAUSED. THEY NOW REFUSE TO FIX THE PROBLEM EITHER THEY CAUSED OR ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BUT INSTEAD WANT ME TO PAY $700 TO FIX THE AIR BAG. I REPORT THESE PEOPLE BECAUSE I REFUSE TO PAY ANY MONEY FOR AN AIR BAG THAT IS BEING RECALLED THAT THEY WERE NOT COMPETENT ENOUGH TO EVEN FIX! PLEASE CONTACT THEM AND ASK THEM WHY THEY ARE CHARGING PEOPLE FOR AIR BAG WORK !
TAKATA RECALL - I AM HAVING DIFFICULTY GETTING THE NECESSARY PAPERWORK FROM HONDA AMERICA TO HAVE THE AIRBAGS REPLACED IN MY HONDA CIVIC AND HONDA CRV. I AM STATIONED WITH THE MILITARY IN GERMANY. THE HONDA DEALER IN STUTTGART, GERMANY WILL NOT ORDER PARTS OR REPLACE THE AIRBAGS UNTIL THEY HAVE PAPERWORK FROM HONDA AMERICA. TO COMPLICATE MATTERS I WILL MOVE BACK TO AMERICA IN 3 MONTHS, AND PLAN TO SHIP BOTH VEHICLES. THE U.S. GOVERNMENT TRANSPORTATION COMMAND STATES IT WILL NOT SHIP MY VEHICLES WITH OPEN RECALL OR SAFETY ISSUES. I NEED TO HAVE THIS RESOLVED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. WITHOUT THE RECALL REPAIRED I WILL BE FORCED TO LEAVE MY CARS HERE IN GERMANY. I SUBMITTED MY INITIAL REQUEST TO HONDA ON 26 OCT. *TR
TRUNK LID LATCH MALFUNCTION. LID DOES NOT CLOSE ALL THE WAY CAUSING IT TO OPEN WHEN SEATS & WINDOWS ARE DOWN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. THE NYLON INSIDE THE LATCH HAS WORKED IT'S WAY OUT CAUSING THE LATCH TO BIND AND NOT CLOSE PROPERLY, THUS MAKING THE TRUNK NOT ACTUALLY LOCKED. IS A SECURITY RISK AND ALSO A SAFETY HAZARD TO OTHERS ON THE ROAD. IF YOU HAD A LOT OF BELONGINGS IN THE TRUNK THEY WOULD BE SCATTERED ALL OVER THE HIGHWAY.
PAINT IS PEELING FROM THE ROOF...HONDA AMERICAN SAID NO HELP CAUSE OF THE AGE....BUT ONLY 38K AND GARAGE KEPT IT SHOULD NEVER PEEL NO MATTER WHAT AGE AND EXCELLENT CONDITON OF THE VEHICLE
NOTICEABLE GAS SMELL, ESPECIALLY WHEN ENGINE TURNED OFF. DIAGNOSED BY INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. 2" CRACK ON PLASTIC COVER OF FUEL PUMP MODULE. REPAIR COST OVER $400. HE INDICATED THAT HE HAS HAD 3 HONDAS W/ THIS ISSUE IN 2 WEEKS. THIS WOULD SEEM A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE, ESPECIALLY W/ THE PLACEMENT OF THIS UNIT UNDER THE REAR SEAT. FORTUNATELY NO SMOKERS IN THIS CAR. THE SMELL HAD BEEN SLIGHTLY NOTICEABLE FOR ABOUT 3-4 WEEKS BUT BECAME STRONGER AFTER A TRIP W/ LONGER DRIVE TIMES THAN DAILY USAGE. A 6-10 MPG DECREASE BECAME OBVIOUS AT THIS TIME AS WELL.
TAKATA RECALL - I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT AND MY PASSENGER AIR BAG DEPLOYED ALTHOUGH NO ONE WAS SITTING IN THAT SEAT AND MY DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. I WAS IN HOSPITAL FOR FRACTURED RIBS. CAR IS TOTALED. I WAS DRIVING AND HIT A TURNING CAR ON THE STREET.
SRS INTERNAL UNIT FAILURE AT 79K MILES. CAR IS 2005 HONDA CIVIC AND ACCORDING TO GOOGLE SEARCHES AND CIVIC FORUMS THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH HONDA VEHICLES (NOT JUST CIVICS) AND HONDA QUOTES A $800+ PRICE TO REPAIR RATHER THAN STANDING BY THEIR VEHICLES. WITH THE SRS LIGHT ON, THE AIRBAGS DO NOT WORK, CAR CANNOT BY SMOGGED, AND IS A SERIOUS HAZARD TO THE DRIVE AND OCCUPANTS UNTIL THE EXPENSIVE REPAIR IS MADE. CALLED HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD NOT LESSEN THE COST, NOR HELP COVER THE REPAIR IN ANY WAY.
REPLACED AIRBAG LESS THAN A YEAR AGO ON A RECALL. THE AIRBAG SENSOR LIGHT NOW REMAINS ON. IF THE AIRBAGS WERE REPLACED IS THERE NOT A WARRANTY THAT WOULD COVER THE REPLACEMENT AIRBAG AND THE SENSOR THAT CONTROLS IT?
CAR LOCKS ITSELF IMMEDIATELY WHEN CAR KEY IS INSIDE. IF YOU PUT YOUR CHILD INSIDE AND CAR KEY IS INSIDE WHILE YOU ARE TRYING TO CLOSE BACK DOOR AFTER PUTTING YOUR CHILD IN CAR SEAT AND COME TO DRIVE DOOR, CAR LOCKS ITSELF IMMEDIATELY ON CLOSING BACK DOOR EVEN REMOTE KEY IS INSIDE. ESSENTIALLY IT LOCKS YOUR CHILD INSIDE CAR UNTIL YOU BRAKE WINDOW OR CALL SOMEBODY TO OPEN CAR FOR YOU. IMAGINE IT HAPPENS IN HOT SUMMER AND YOUR BABY LOCKS INSIDE THE CAR.
KEY DOES NOT WORK IN DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LOCK. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS PROBLEM, AND IT SHOWED MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME PROBLEM. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY, PARKED.
K20A3 CAMSHAFT LOBES HAVE PITS/GALLING ON THEM. THEY MAKE A LOUD TICKING/TAPPING NOISE. POSSIBLE DECREASE IN GAS MILEAGE, POOR PERFORMANCE, AND RELIABILITY ISSUE. IF LEFT UNINTENDED COULD CAUSE FURTHER DAMAGE TO ENGINE. COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE K20A3 ENGINES MANUFACTURE DEFECT. HONDA SHOULD ADDRESS THIS.
I WAS ON MY WAY TO SCHOOL , I HAD DRIVEN ABOUT 18 MILES FROM HOME AND HEARD A SCRUBBING SOUND THEN NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM FRONT OF MY CAR. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND TURNED ENGINE OFF. A CITY POLICEMAN STOPPED AND TOLD ME THE NAME OF A WRECKER SERVICE NEARBY. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO A GARAGE WHERE IT WAS PUT UP ON A LIFT . THE MECHANIC NOTED A PIECE OF METAL BULGING FROM THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BLOCK LOOKING FROM UNDER THE CAR AND TOWARD THE FRONT..THERE WAS OIL SPLATTERS FROM THAT AREA ALSO. THE PIECE OF METAL CAME FROM BETWEEN THE BLOCK AND THE AIR CONDITIONER. THERE HAD TO HAVE BEEN A DEFECT IN THE BLOCK FOR IT TO BREAK A PIECE OF THE BLOCK OFF IN THIS MANNER. THE PIECE WAS ABOUT 2 INCHES WIDE BY 4 INCHES LONG. WE HAVE PICTURES TO SHOW WHAT WAS FOUND. THERE WERE TWO MECHANIC WITNESSES PLUS A POLICEMAN THAT SAW THE DAMAGE.THE CAR WAS NOT RUNNING HOT NOR LOW IN OIL. THE BLOCK JUST A DEFECT. IF I HAD BEEN ON THE INTERSTATE THERE COULD HAVE BEEN A SEVERE ACCIDENT DUE TO THE CAR COMING TO A SUDDEN STOP.

THE CONTACT DID NOT SUFFER ANY INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE A FAILURE CODE WAS LOCATED AT THE THROTTLE BODY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000.
I'VE BEEN NOTICING THAT THE PAINT ON MY CAR IS SLOWLY PEELING OFF OF MY HOOD, ROOF AND TRUNK. THE HOOD IS THE WORST. IS THERE ANY WAY THAT THIS CAN BE FIXED? THIS IS NOT NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR.
HONDA IS NOT TAKING THE TAKATA PROBLEM SERIOUSLY, AND THEY ARE SHOWING NO URGENCY TO GET THESE AIRBAGS FIXED. THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT MY CAR, LANDMARK HONDA IN ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA, WILL NOT DO RECALL REPAIRS ON SATURDAY. THEY APPEAR TO BE COMPLETELY INDIFFERENT TO THE DANGER OF THE TAKATA PROBLEM. THE MAIN HONDA NUMBER PUT ME ON HOLD FOR A LONG TIME, SO I EVENTUALLY GAVE UP TRYING TO REACH THEM. NHTSA NEEDS TO FORCE THE DEALERSHIPS TO DO THESE AIRBAGS REPAIRS ON WEEKENDS SO THAT CAR OWNERS WILL BRING IN THEIR CARS.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2005 Honda Civic. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V370000 (Air Bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect. The contact has stated that they were not aware they the vehicle had previously been in a crash or that it was missing an airbag at the time of purchase.
I WAS SITTING IN STOPPED CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC ON 52 NORTH AT THE MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. EXIT WHEN THE CONCREAT WAS SLUNG OVER THE DIVIDER WALL WHERE THE CONSTRUCTION WAS BEING DONE AND IT SPLATTERED ON MY CAR HITTING THE HOOD, WIND SHIELD, TOP OF CAR AND THE SIDES.

TAKATA RECALL ON SEPTEMBER 1 2015 I HAD A ROLLOVER ACCIDENT DOWN A EMBANKMENT. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I FLIPPED OFF A CLIFF & ROLLED, MY AIRBAGS DID NOT WORK!!
THE CLEAR COAT IS PEELING ALL OVER THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE. IT STARTED ABOUT 2 YEARS AND A HALF AGO. I KNOW THIS VEHICLE HAD A RECALL FOR THIS IN THE 2006 MODEL AND THINK IT SHOULD BE EXTENDED.

THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V370000 (AIR BAGS) BUT THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE ISSUE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,000.
I HAD COMMON WEALTH MOTORS IN LAWRENCE MASSACHUSETTS REPLACE MY AIR BAG IN ON 08/05/2015 DUE TO MANY POST CARD WARNINGS I KEPT RECEIVING BY MAIL. SOON AFTER, A LIGHT INDICATING MY SEAT BELT CONNECTED TO MY AIRBAG CONTINUES TO STAY ON. I WENT BACK TO COMMON WEALTH MOTORS BECAUSE OF AN INSPECTION STICKER ISSUE WITH THIS LIGHT PROBLEM AND THEY TRIED TO GET ME TO PAY OVER 500.00 DOLLARS TO FIX THE ISSUE AS WELL AS SHUT THE LIGHT OFF. IT IS 12/8/17 AND THE LIGHT IS STILL ON.
ON FRIDAY, JULY 31, 2015 I BROUGHT MY 2005 HONDA CIVIC EX [WHICH WAS IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION WITH NO SRS OR MIL LIGHTS ON] TO HONDA OF KINGSTON ON BROADWAY TO BE SERVICED ON AUGUST 1ST FOR THE TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL. WHEN I PICKED UP MY CAR ON MONDAY, AUGUST 3RD THEY TOLD ME EVERYTHING WENT WELL AND THAT THEY HAD ALSO PERFORMED A "COMPLIMENTARY INSPECTION" OF MY TIRES, BREAKS, FLUIDS ETC. -- SOMETHING THEY NEVER INFORMED ME THEY PLANNED ON DOING, SOMETHING I WOULD HAVE NEVER CONSENTED TO IN THE FIRST PLACE. THEY ALSO FAILED TO INFORM ME THAT MY SRS LIGHT WAS NOW ON, AND WHAT THAT MEANS. I PULLED OVER ON MY WAY HOME TO CALL AND INQUIRE ABOUT THE LIGHT AND THEY TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT FIT ME IN UNTIL THURSDAY, AUGUST 6TH TO DIAGNOSE IT. DRIVING HOME, MY CAR BEGAN SHAKING AND RATTLING AND BECAME ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE. I BROUGHT IT TO THE NEAREST AVAILABLE MECHANIC WHO DISCOVERED THE LUG NUTS ON THE FRONT LEFT TIRE WERE NOT SECURED PROPERLY BY THE TECHNICIANS AT HONDA OF KINGSTON, AND IT WAS CLOSE TO FALLING OFF. THEY FIXED AND SECURED THE TIRE FOR ME AND I NOTIFIED HONDA OF THE INCIDENT. THEY AGREED TO PAY THE COST OF SECURING THE TIRE, HOWEVER THEY INFORMED ME THAT DIAGNOSING MY SRS LIGHT WILL COST ME $107, AND DEPENDING ON WHAT THE ISSUE IS, COULD COST A FEW HUNDRED TO A THOUSAND MORE. I'VE NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES WITH THE AIR BAG SYSTEM OR THE SRS LIGHT, UNTIL IT WAS SERVICED BY HONDA OF KINGSTON. THE SRS LIGHT OBVIOUSLY INDICATES THAT THE AIRBAG RECALL WORK WAS NOT PERFORMED CORRECTLY, AND NOW THE DEALER IS ATTEMPTING TO CHARGE ME TO REPAIR IT. NOT ONLY COULD I HAVE CRASHED DUE TO THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE TECHNICIANS AND THEIR INABILITY TO EVEN SECURE A TIRE PROPERLY, BUT MY SRS WOULD NOT HAVE DEPLOYED THE AIRBAG, EVEN THOUGH I WAS ASSURED WHEN I LEFT WITH MY CAR THAT EVERYTHING WENT WELL AND MY CAR WAS IN GOOD SHAPE.
I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FOR MY AIRBAG AND I CALLED THE HONDA HOTLINE NUMBER ON THE NOTICE TO HAVE THEM ARRANGE TO FIX IT. RECEIVED A CASE NUMBER, BUT HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM THEM IN MONTHS. I HAVE TRIED CALLING IN, BUT THEY KEEP SAYING THEY ARE OUT OF STOCK AND THE CASE MANGER WILL CALL ME. HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO TALK TO A CASE MANAGER YET.

2005 HONDA CIVIC. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO DRIVERS SIDE FRONT AIRBAG INFLATOR RECALL ISSUES. *SMD THE CONSUMER HAS BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL AT GETTING THE RECALL PERFORMED ON TWO OCCASIONS. THE LAST TIME, THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THE PERSON IN CHARGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *JB

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE SRS SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE RECALL FIXED. SHORTLY AFTER THE DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG WAS FIXED THE AIR BAG DASH LIGHT CAME ON AND REMAINS ON TO THIS DAY. A FEW MONTHS AFTER THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG RECALL WAS FIXED I RECEIVED A SECOND RECALL NOTICE FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. UPON TAKING THE VEHICLE IN FOR THE SECOND RECALL I INQUIRED ABOUT THE AIR BAG LIGHT STAYING ON. THEY PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT THE RELAY LOCATED IN THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE WAS THE CAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM AND THAT IT WOULD COST $403. UPON MY RESEARCH OF THE INTERNET AND SPEAKING WITH OTHERS WHO ALSO HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM AFTER THE RECALL AIR BAGS WERE FIXED, IS SEEMS LIKE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. HONDA DISAGREES THAT THIS IS ANY CAUSE THAT THEY HAVE DONE....JUST COINCIDENCE THAT SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM AFTER THE RECALL ON THE AIR BAGS ARE FIXED. HONDA CLAIMS THAT IT IS A RELAY SWITCH LOCATED IN THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE. IT JUST SEEMS TO BE SUCH A COMMON PROBLEM AFTER THE AIR BAGS PROBLEM IS FIXED. I TRIED TO TELL THEM ALSO THAT MY CAR HAS A LIFE TIME WARRANTY ON THE SEAT BELT. THEY DECLINED TO FIX IT, SAYING THAT THE PROBLEM WAS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. SO I ASKED THEM WHAT IT MEANS SINCE THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON IN THE DASH. HONDA SAYS THAT THE AIR BAGS WILL NOT WORK IF I AM IN AN ACCIDENT, SINCE THE AIR BAGS CANNOT TELL THAT THE SEAT BELT IS BUCKLED. SO THE BOTTOM LINE IS THE AIR BAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY IF IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE THE DASH LIGHT CAME ON AFTER THEY TRIED TO FIX THE AIR BAGS. THE REMEDY FOR THIS ACCORDING TO HONDA IS A NEW SEAT BELT BUCKLE OF WHICH THEY WILL NOT COVER IN THE LIFETIME WARRANTY ON THE SEAT BELT BECAUSE THEY CLAIM IT IS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE. IT WAS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT AUTO MAKERS HAD TO FIX SAFETY FEATURES THAT MALFUNCTION.
AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 20 MILES IN WARM DAY FROM SAN MATEO TO SAN FRANCISCO VIA I-101 THEN I-280 WITH A/C ON. THE VEHICLE CAME TO A TRAFFIC JAM ON HIGHWAY EXIT IN SF, THE SPEED WAS AT 30 MPH OR LESS AND THE ENGINE TEMPERATURE INCREASED TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL AND THE ENGINE HAD WATER BOILING SOUND AND RADIATOR FAN DID NOT CAME ON AFTER STOPPED ON A CITY STREET. THEN 2ND INCIDENT HAPPEN ON JULY 25 2015, AGAIN DRIVING FROM SAN MATEO I-101 > 92 > 238 > I-580 TO DUBLIN WITH WEATHER TEMPERATURE AT 90+ WITH A/C ON WHEN THE VEHICLE REACH TO SLOW SPEED AT FREEWAY EXT RAMP. THE ENGINE TEMPERATURE INCREASED TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL. ONCE THE CAR STOPPED AT A CITY STREET THE ENGINE HAD BOILING WATER SOUND AND RADIATOR FAN DID NOT CAME ON. COOLANT IS FULL AS WELL AS THE RESERVE RESERVOIR . ON AUG 3 SAME THING HAPPENS AFTER REPLACING ENGINE THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR FAN SWITCH. DRIVEN FROM MOUNTAIN VIEW VIA I-280 TO SAN CARLOS WITH A/C ON. THE ENGINE TEMPERATURE RAISED TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL AND WATER BOILING SOUND CAME FROM ENGINE. AGAIN, COOLANT IS FULL AS WELL AS THE RESERVOIR.

HONDA IS REFUSING TO FIX THE CLEAR COAT ISSUE ON THE 05 CIVICS. IT STARTS OFF AS A LIGHT AREA USUALLY ON THE ROOF OF THE CAR AND THEN SPREADS. THE CLEAR COAT IS NOW GONE FROM ALMOST HALF OF THE ROOF AND HAS STARTED ON THE TRUNK LID AND DOORS OF THE CAR. CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLD ME THAT AFTER 10 YEARS THEY EXPECT ALL CARS SHOULD BE REPAINTED AND THAT IT WAS MY JOB TO HAVE THAT DONE. SINCE THIS PROBLEM STARTED 3-4 YEARS AGO AND I HAVE TRIED ALL I COULD TO STOP IT AND CORRECT THE ISSUE I'M PRETTY SURE THE FAULT LIES WITH HONDA AND THE PAINT/CLEAR THEY USED. THE CAR WAS TOTALED ON 1/13/2015 THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT BLOW BUT PASSENGER SIDE DID. BOTH OF THE CAR SENSORS HAD BEEN SMASHED IN SINCE THIS WAS A FULL FRONT HIT TO BACK END OF THE CAR IN FRONT. EVEN THE STATE TROOPER ASKED WHY THE DRIVER SIDE DID NOT BLOW. NO PASSENGER WAS IN THIS CAR ONLY A DRIVER. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THIS ADDRESSED SINCE THIS ACCIDENT (1/13/15) THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!
I FIRST NOTICED THE PROBLEM WITH THE HEAD LIGHTS DIM FROM REGULAR BRIGHTNESS TO REALLY LOW WHILE DRIVING. THEN I NOTICED THE LIGHTS INSIDE THE CAR DOING THE SAME DIM WHILE THE ENGINE IS OFF. AND TODAY, ON MY DASHBOARD I NOTICED THE SRS INDICATOR LIGHT TURNED ON RED, AND STAYS ON RED AS I DRIVE IT. EVERYTHING IS ORIGINAL ON THE VEHICLE, NO AFTER MARKET.
