I WENT IN TO HAVE THE RECALL REPAIRED DONE FOR AIRBAGS. DAYS LATER MY AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON I NOTIFIED HONDA AND WAS TOLD I HAD TO PAY FOR AN INSPECTION. THE LIGHT COMES AND GOES. I HAVE NEVER HAD AN ISSUE PRIOR TO THEM SUPPOSEDLY FIXING A RECALL NOW MY AIRBAG WILL NOT STAY OFF. THEY CLAIM IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RECALL REPAIR BUT I FIND THAT HARD TO BELIEVE. THIS WAS NEVER AN ISSUE BEFORE THEY FOOLED WITH MY CAR. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN I HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND I CAN'T ALLOW SOMETHING TO HAPPEN TO THEM DRIVING IN AN UNSAFE VEHICLE
OUR GRAND CHILD WAS TRAPPED IN BACK SEAT PASSENGER SIDE. SEAT BELT IS DEFECTIVE. I CALLED HONDA CONSUMER TWICE AND TRY TO GET NEAREST DEALER TO HELP, NO ONE WAS AVAILABLE FOR WEEK. I WENT LOCAL BODY SHOP WAS ABLE TO GET SEAT BELT AND INSTALLED IN TIME DUE TO WE TAKE CARE OF THE GRAND KIDS AND NEEDED SAFE CAR. DID CALLED CONSUMER HELP FROM HONDA AND THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO REIMBURSE. PLEASE HELP. HONDA CONSUMER CASE # 08754136

LEAKS AT SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG ON DRIVER SIDE WHENEVER IT RAINS.
CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO CONCERNS WITH SHAPE OF SEAT BELTS IN COMMERCIAL VANS AND DRIVERS NOT USING THEIR DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. *LD *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA CIVIC. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25-30 MPH THROUGH AN INTERSECTION, A LARGE TRUCK CRASHED INTO THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE FENDER OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. PRIOR TO THE COLLISION, THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE DID NOT SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION, BUT WAS DISABLED DUE TO BACK AND NECK INJURIES PRIOR TO THE COLLISION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR DEALER FOR THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED LETTERS FROM TK HOLDINGS, ALERTING HER THAT THE AIR BAG MANUFACTURER FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. TWO MONTHS PRIOR TO THE COLLISION, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HONDA OF GRAYS HARBOR (1720 SIMPSON AVE, ABERDEEN, WA 98520, (360) 532-5833). THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 72,000. *TR - (RECALL RELATED INCIDENT) TS
HONDA FINALLY REPLACED THE PASSENGER SIDE TAKATA AIRBAG ON 1/18/2018 BUT NOT THE DRIVER'S SIDE? I HAVE BEEN HIT IN THE REAR BY 2 CARS SINCE BUYING THIS CAR IN 2010. NO AIRBAG INFLATED BUT EVERY TIME I DRIVE THIS CAR I AM TERRIFIED OF THE AIRBAG SITUATION. WHY AREN'T THEY REPLACING THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG TOO? MY ANXIETY GROWS EVERY TIME I HAVE TO DRIVE SOMEWHERE.
Paint has been peeling for at least 3 years and body shop told me Honda has major issues with paint on many years of vehicles. My vehicle has been serviced many times at the dealer where was purchased and no one, not dealer or Honda themselves have notified me of such re-call or warranty of this particular issue.
ON OR ABOUT DECEMBER 21, 2017 AND ON DECEMBER 25, 2017 (AT APPROXIMATELY 5:20 PM EASTERN TIME), THE ENGINE OF MY 2010 HONDA FIT ACCELERATED RAPIDLY FOR NO APPARENT REASON WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY OR SUBURBAN STREET. ON BOTH OCCASIONS, I WAS DRIVING AT 20-25 MILES PER HOUR. I WAS NOT TRYING TO INCREASE THE CAR'S SPEED BY PUSHING ON THE ACCELERATOR. THE CAR HAS A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. ON BOTH OCCASIONS, I WAS ABLE TO SLOW THE CAR BY PUSHING DOWN ON THE CAR'S CLUTCH AND PUTTING THE GEAR SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL. THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO OPERATE AT A HIGH SPEED AFTER THE GEAR SHIFT WAS IN NEUTRAL.
FOR YEARS I HAVE BEEN DRIVING THIS CAR COMPLAINING ABOUT THE POOR LIGHTING FROM THE HEADLIGHTS. CONSISTENTLY I HAVE TO DAB THE SWITCH TO DOUBLE CHECK AND CONFIRM THEY ARE ON AT NIGHT WHEN I AM NOT ABLE TO SEE THE ROAD AND OR ANY SIGN THAT THEY ARE ACTUALLY WORKING. I ALSO REGULARLY TOOK A LOOK AT THE ACTUAL LIGHTS TO MAKE SURE I DIDN'T HAVE ONE BURNT OUT OR SOMETHING. NOW I AM SELLING THE CAR AND HAD IT DETAILED, SO THE HEADLIGHTS WERE POLISHED AND IT WAS MIND-BLOWING TO REALIZE THAT THE LOW QUALITY OF THE PLASTIC COVER LENSES WAS ALWAYS THE CULPRIT. I GUESS THIS HAPPENS TO EVERY MAKE AND MODEL OUT IN THE ROAD, SO IN FACT HOW MANY OF ALL THE ACCIDENTS OCCURRING EVERY SINGLE DAY COULD BE AT LEAST PARTIALLY BLAMED ON THIS PROBLEM? ESPECIALLY THOSE CAUSE BY RUNNING OVER OBSTACLES IN THE ROAD OR EVEN PEOPLE... I ALWAYS KEPT MY CAR CLEAN, BUT THIS IS A DIFFERENT PROBLEM, AND IT'S DUE TO THE LOW QUALITY OF MATERIALS USED, JUST AS THE KILLER AIR BAG INFLATORS... THIS CAR HAS ALL THE EXTERIOR TRIMS AND MOLDINGS MELTED, CRACKED AND MOST GONE, AND THIS HAPPENED IN JUST A FEW YEARS, BUT OR COURSE THIS IS NOT CAUSE FOR ACCIDENTS OR DEATHS SO NOBODY CARES (ARGUABLY THE SUNVISOR EXPLODING IN FRONT OF YOU COULD BE)... BUT THE HEADLIGHTS IN EVERY SINGLE CAR OUT THERE IN THE ROAD I BELIEVE IS SOMETHING MUST BE TAKEN CARE OF, AND IT IS NOT THE OWNERS/DRIVERS RESPONSIBILITY, OR THERE WOULD BE SOME SORT OF MANDATED DISCLOSURE ABOUT IT. SOMETHING LIKE: "THIS CAR IS BUILT TO LAST ONLY ONE LEASING PERIOD OF 36 TO 48 MONTHS IN A DECENT SHAPE. DO NOT BUY IT OR GET RID OF IT SOONER, OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES. GOOD LUCK!"
I AM HAVING A ON-GOING ISSUE WITH PAINT PEELING FROM MY VEHICLE. VANN YORK HONDA PAINTED SOME AREAS ON VEHICLE WHERE PAINT WAS PEELING IN 2014, HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM WAS NEVER RESOLVED BECAUSE THE PAINT CONTINUES TO PEEL FROM MY VEHICLE. NOW VANN YORK IS SAYING THAT I HAVE TO PAY 30% TOWARDS REPAIRS, I OFFERED FOR THEM TO WAIVE MY 30% OF REPAIR COST DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE PROBLEM WITH PAINT PEELING FROM MY VEHICLE WAS NEVER RESOLVED.
TAKATA RECALL. PSYCHOLOGICAL EFFECT THAT THERE MAY BE A PROBLEM WITH THE AIRBAGS OF THE 2010 HONDA CIVIC.
ABNORMAL CRACKED AND PEELING PAINT ON THE HOOD, ROOF AND TRUNK. HONDA IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND ISSUED AN EXTENSION BUT HAS NEVER PROVIDED A NOTIFICATION TO OWNERS AFFECTED BY THIS KNOWN ISSUE. I AM NOW ONE YEAR PAST DUE AND ONLY FOUND OUT THERE WAS AN ISSUE WHEN MY LOCAL BODY SHOP ADVISED ME TO CALL.
HIT A RUT, HOLE, SHALLOW. LIGHTS FOR AIRBAG(NEAR STEERING FRONT) WENT OFF. AIRBAG DID NOT ENGAGE. I WAS DOING A U-TURN, TURNING RIGHT OFF HIGHWAY AND THEN LEFT FOR U-TURN IN FRONT OF A GAS STATION. WHY THE STATION HAD LEFT A HAZARD FOR CUSTOMERS TO RUN IN TO AS I DID, A TURN, I DON'T UNDERSTAND. LOUD NOISE FROM RIGHT FRONT, AND BEFORE COMPLETED MY TURN. SOUND CAME AS I WAS TURNING.
MULTIPLE PANELS HAVE BEEN REPAINTED ON THIS CAR DUE TO FAULTY CLEARCOAT. THE LAST PANEL HAS FAILED, AND HONDA HAS ONLY OFFERED TO PAY FOR 50% OF THE REPAIRS. THIS IS A KNOWN MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT, THAT HONDA HOPES TO SHIFT TO THE CONSUMER OF THEIR VEHICLES.
"TAKATA RECALL" THE VEHICLE WAS SOLD TO ME WITHOUT AIRBAGS. THE AUTO DEALER WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE MISSING AIRBAGS. A RECALL WAS ISSUED ON THE AIRBAGS FOR THE VEHICLE AND THAT IS WHEN I FOUND OUT THE VEHICLE WAS SOLD TO ME WITHOUT THEM. I CALLED THE AUTO DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY KNEW NOTHING ABOUT IT. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO CALL ME BACK BUT AS OF THIS DATE, THEY HAVE NOT DONE SO. I WAS SOLD AN UNSAFE VEHICLE AND THE WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT.
THE CAR VIBRATES UPON TURING IT ON AND ENGINE SOUNDS VERY NOISY. I TOOK IT TO HONDA SERVICE CENTER ON ROUTE 22 IN HILLSIDE AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE MOTOR MOUNT WHICH WAS REPLACED AT A COST TO ME OF $600.00 . THEY CLAIMED THERE WAS NO WARRANTY FOR ENGINE TROUBLE AVAILABLE.
WHEN STARTED AND PUT IN REVERSE THE CAR SHAKES AND MAKES NOISE. THE PROBLEM WAS DIAGNOSED AS BAD MOTOR MOUNTS. 75,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. THIS IS THE SAME COMPLAINT MADE BY MANY OWNERS. I'VE READ ON LINE THAT THIS PROBLEM IS WIDE SPREAD WITH OTHERS LOOKING FOR A RECALL.
PAINT DEFECTS ON HOOD, TRUNK AND FRONT 2 QUARTER PANELS, CLEAR COAT IS FLAKING OFF. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE TO HONDA. I DECIDED TO TAKE MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL. DEALER STATED THERE WAS A "WARRANTY EXTENSION" FOR THIS ISSUE BUT THAT IT EXPIRED 7 MONTHS AGO. I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF THIS, IS THERE ANYTHING THAT CAN BE DONE? A QUICK GOOGLE CHECK SHOWS THAT PAINT ISSUES ARE A HUGE PROBLEM FOR HONDA.
MY 2010 HONDA CIVIC HAS CONSIDERABLE FADING, EROSION OF PAINT OVER MOST OF CAR. I HAVE HAD REPAIRS OVER THREE CONSECUTIVE YRS, 2014, 2015, 2016. I BEGAN NOTICING MORE DAMAGE LATE SUMMER 2017. I CONTACTED HONDA IN SEPTEMBER 2017. UNFORTUNATELY THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS LESS THAN HELPFUL AND VERY NEGATIVE IN THEIR ANSWERS. ALSO , IF I HAD NOT EXPLORED THIS ON MY OWN, EACH OF THE PRIOR YRS; I WOULD NOT HAVE HAD THE REPAIRS DONE,AS HONDA DID NOT INFORM ME OF RECALLS AND THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP WAS NOT UP FRONT WITH THIS CONTINUED PROBLEM. MY CAR NOW HAS FADING,DAMAGE TO HOOD WHICH IS SPREADING,,RT PASSENGER DOOR, SIDE PANELS, MY CAR LOOKS OLD,DAMAGED. NOW IF I WANT THIS FIXED I AM ON MY OWN. HONDA HASN'T OFFERED ANY HELP. WHAT A SAD WAY TO TREAT CUSTOMERS WON'T BUY ANOTHER. HOW CAN A COMPANY EXIST WITH SUCH POOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.SORRY SITUATION WHAT CAN BE DONE TO HELP THE CUSTOMERS.? I SENT HONDA EMAIL SEPT 2017
1) A/C COMPRESSOR FAILED. 2) TPMS LIGHT CONSTANTLY ON REGARDLESS OF TIRE PRESSURE WITHIN SPECIFICATION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2010 HONDA CIVIC. AFTER STOPPING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT WAS REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT STRUCK THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A SALVAGE YARD WHERE IT WAS DEEMED DESTROYED. STEVENSON HONDA OF WILMINGTON (821 S COLLEGE RD, WILMINGTON, NC) WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THERE WAS ONE INJURY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT SUFFERED FROM SWELLING, AND SEVERE PAIN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 148,000.
WITHIN TWO WEEKS BOTH SUN VISORS SPLIT AND DROPPED DOWN WHILE PARKED AND WILL NOT REMAIN UP. DEALER HAS REFUSED ANY WARRANTY WORK DESPITE PREVIOUS PROBLEMS WITH THESE COMPONENTS IN THE PAST.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA CIVIC. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (HONDA OF TENAFLY, 28 COUNTY RD, TENAFLY, NJ 07670) WHERE IT WAS STATED THAT DUE TO THE HIGH MILEAGE ON THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT AGREED TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SRS UNIT, AND PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE AIR BAGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 800-999-1009 AND STATED THAT SINCE THE VEHICLE HAD HIGH MILEAGE, THE CONTACT HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. A CASE NUMBER WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 118,000.
LARGE BLOTCHES OF OXIDIZED PAINT ON ROOF & TRUNK THAT IS PROGRESSING RAPIDLY. MY WIFE BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER WHO INITIALLY SAID THAT THEY WOULD "TAKE CARE OF IT". WHEN SHE RETURNED LATER, A MANAGER TOLD HER THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY $1,300 TO HAVE IT REPAINTED. I WAS VERY ALARMED TO FIND MANY CONSUMERS ON THE WEB WITH THE IDENTICAL ISSUE.
MY CAR PAINT IS BEGINNING TO PEEL AND THE DEALER SAYS SINCE I AM 7 DAYS OUTSIDE OF THE WARRANTY, THEY WILL PAY 35% OF THEIR ESTIMATE OF 5600 TO FIX IT. THEY WILL NEED 3 WEEKS TO TAKE CARE OF IT AND WILL NOT PAY FOR A LOANER. THEY HAD MY CAR A MONTH AGO FOR SERVICE AND DID NOT DO A WALK AROUND WHICH WOULD HAVE HOPEFULLY CAUGHT THE PROBLEM WHILE IT WAS STILL COVERED. I AM SO UPSET WITH THE DEALERSHIP FOR MISSING SUCH A BIG THING!
BOTH SUN VISORS HAVE SEPERATED. NOW IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE THERE FOR I HAD TO REMOVE THEM BOTH OFF. I NO LONGER HAVE THEM BECAUSE MY WIFE JUST TOLD ME TO THROW AWAY I'M SORRY BUT IT WOULD REALLY MAKE ARE LIFE A LOT MORE EASIER TO SEE DURING THIS UP COMING SUMMER PLEASE AND THANK YOU
I AM 76 YEARS OLD AND RECENTLY QUIT DRIVING. ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS I DID NOT WANT TO DRIVE ANY MORE WAS POOR VISIBILITY, WHICH I ALWAYS BLAMED ON MY POOR EYESIGHT, INCLUDING CATARACTS. THE PROBLEM, AS IT SEEMED REASONABLE, WAS WHEN IT WAS DARK. MY DOCTOR TOLD ME OTHERWISE: ELDERLY PEOPLE WITH CATARACTS ACTUALLY ARE ABLE TO SEE SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER IN THE DARK, WHEN PUPILS ARE DILATED. SOMEONE RECENTLY EXPLAINED TO ME THE REAL REASON: MY CAR'S HEADLIGHTS! I AM NOT PLANNING TO DRIVE AGAIN, I DON'T EVEN WANT TO TRY, BUT I KNOW NOW THAT IF THE HEADLIGHTS IN MY CAR WOULD HAVE BEEN WORKING AS THEY SHOULD I WOULD PROBABLY BE STILL DRIVING. THE POOR QUALITY OF THE LENSES IN THIS AND PROBABLY EVERY 2 TO 3 YEAR OLD CAR IN THE ROAD TODAY REDUCES THE VISIBILITY SO MUCH AND I'M SURE IT'S THE CAUSE OF MANY ACCIDENTS AND NOBODY IS SAYING ANYTHING. I NEVER HAD AN ACCIDENT, BUT I HAD A FEW CLOSE CALLS, AND IT MAKES ME REALLY ANGRY TO KNOW IT WAS THE BLURRY BAD HEADLIGHTS TO BLAME, AND THAT THEY ARE PROBABLY HURTING AND KILLING PEOPLE EVERY DAY. NOT TO MENTION THOSE LIKE ME WHO TAKE THE BLAME FOR SOMETHING SO CHEAP. MY SON HAS A CAR LIKE THIS AND HE HAD THE HEADLAMPS POLISHED RECENTLY BECAUSE I INSISTED HIM TO DO SO. NOW WHEN HE DRIVES ME I CAN TELL THE HUMONGOUS DIFFERENCE AND UNDERSTAND IT WASN'T ME AND MY "POOR EYESIGHT" TO BLAME. I CAN'T TELL HOW MANY TIMES I WENT BACK TO THE EYE DOCTOR TO LOOK FOR A SOLUTION, AND THE REAL SOLUTION IS IN PEOPLE LIKE YOU, IF YOU WANT TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I WILL CONTACT A TV CHANNEL/REPORTER TO SEE IF THEY CAN START A CAMPAIGN ABOUT THIS, BECAUSE AUTOMAKERS ARE GETTING AWAY WITH THIS LIKE WITH SO MANY OTHER THINGS. IT'S A SHAME!
DRIVER SIDE SUN VISOR IS BROKEN/DEFECTIVE. THE TWO PLASTIC PANELS JUST CRACKS OPEN OR FALL APART EVEN THOUGH IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN OPERATED PROPERLY. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD SINCE VISIBILITY IS GREATLY AFFECTED WITH THE VISOR NOT WORKING IN THE SUMMER SUN!! I HAVE NOTICED THIS POTENTIAL PROBLEM WHEN PURCHASED IT IN 2015 BUT THOUGH THE VISOR'S ARM JUST NEED SOME LUBRICATION BUT THAT'S NOT THE CASE.
CLEAR COAT PAINT STARTED PEELING
THE CAR SPUN OUT OF CONTROL WHILE PROCEEDING TO DRIVE AFTER STOPPING AT THE STOP SIGN. THE CAR FLIPPED OVER AND LANDED UPSIDE DOWN WITH THE DRIVER INSIDE. THE TAMARA AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.
I WONDER WHEN THEY ARE GOING TO RECALL MY CAR BECAUSE OF THE TAKATA RECALL. I AM SCARED EVERY TIME I DRIVE THAT SOMEONE MIGHT HIT ME AND THE AIR BAG EXPLODE. WHEN I CALL THEM, THEY SAY THEY ARE NOT RECALLING MY YEAR. WHY NOT? IF IT IS DEFECTIVE, IT SHOULD BE RECALLED.
TOOK MY CAR IN FOR OIL CHANGE. WAS TOLD IT ALSO NEEDED COMPLIANCE BUSHINGS AT A COST OF $495. I WENT ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND THIS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM DUE TO WRONG SIZE AND WONDERED WHY IT WAS NOT RECALLED. I AM 83 AND CAR ONLY HAS 22973 MILES ON IT AND KEPT IN GARAGE. WHY IS EVERYONE HAVING TO PAY THIS AMOUNT FOR A SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT THEY KNEW ABOUT BUSHING CRACKING DUE TO WRONG SIZE PUT IN?
THE PAINT IS COMING OFF THE TRUNK OF THE CAR IN CIRCULAR PATCHES. THERE ARE ALSO NUMEROUS SPOTS ON THE FRONT HOOD WHERE THE PAINT IS FADING. BACK IN THE DAY YOUR CAR WOULD RUST BEFORE THE PAINT JOB WOULD GO BAD! VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE APPEARANCE OF MY CAR.
RECEIVED NOTICE IN MAIL THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR AIRBAGS. CONTACTED HONDA OF MARYSVILLE (WA) ON APRIL 27 @ 3:30PM TO MAKE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT , SPOKE TO A [XXX], WAS TOLD HE WOULD CONTACT ME WITH A DATE AND TIME TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN. CALLED AND LEFT HIM A MESSAGE ON HIS DIRECT LINE ([XXX]) TO MAKE SURE I HAVE GAVE HIM ALL THE INFORMATION NEEDED THE FOLLOWING DAY. I WAITED UNTIL MAY 20TH, WHEN I CALLED HONDA OF MARYSVILLE AGAIN, AND SPOKE WITH A [XXX], WHO SAID SHE HAD PUT MY INFORMATION INTO THE SYSTEM AND SOMEONE FROM SERVICE WOULD CONTACT ME TO MAKE THE APPOINTMENT-- AS OF 9/9/17 I STILL HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM THE SERVICE CENTER.. I had my paint recall fixed on my 2010 Honda Civic at a local Honda dealership. They had it for 4 weeks without any loaner car, and now the paint in peeling off my car. The body doesn’t seem to be put back together correctly. The rubber were the body fits together is coming apart.
THE PAINT IS PEELING OFF OF MY CIVIC. I CONTACTED HONDA AND THEY STATED THEY WILL DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. I NEVER HEARD OF PAINT PEELING OFF A CAR BEFORE.
SEVERAL AREAS OF THE VEHICLE HAVE BEGUN TO HAVE PAINT CRACK AND PEEL, INCLUDING THE HOOD, ROOF, TRUNK AND QUARTER PANELS. HONDA HAS ADMITTED THIS WAS A DEFECT, BUT YOU ONLY HAD 7 YRS FROM THE ORIGINAL DATE OF PURCHASE TO FILE A CLAIM WHICH I WAS UNAWARE UNTIL AFTER THIS DEADLINE.
TAKATA RECALL MANUFACTURER HAS FAILED TO PROVIDE CORRECT DOCUMENTATION ON THE REMEDY. THE RECALL NOTICE, UPDATED ON JAN 14, 2017, ASSERTS THAT THE REMEDY PARTS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE IN LATE SUMMER/FALL 2016, BUT THE REMEDY IS NOT YET AVAILABLE. CLEARLY THIS IS FALSE AND MUST BE CORRECTED.
THERE MAYBE METAL OBJECTS IN THE AIRBAGS AND CAN HARM OR KILL ME THE DRIVER OR SECOND PERSON IN THE CAR.
I HAVE REPLACED A FAN RESISTOR FOR MY INTERIOR FAN THREE TIMES ONCE AT THE DEALER AND THE OTHER TWO AT A MECHANIC SHOP THIS HAS BECOME DANGEROUS DUE TO THE FACT THAT YOU CAN NOT TURN ON YOUR FAN WHEN YOU NEED TO DEFROST YOU WINDSHIELD WHEN IT FOGS UP RESTRICTING YOUR VISIBILITY TO A DANGEROUS LEVEL.
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA CIVIC. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V346000 (AIR BAGS). THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
MY CAR HAS 65000 MILES AND EVERYTIME WHILE REVERSING THERE IS A KNOCKING SOUND AND HEAVY VIBRATIONS. ALSO WHEN TURNING RIGHT IT HAS SOME VIBRATIONS AND KNOCKING SOUNDS. I FOUND OUT THAT IT IS THE PASSENGER SIDE ENGINE MOUNT THAT HAS FAILED. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THAT THIS IS A NORMAL TREND FOR 8TH GEN HONDA CIVIC'S. I DON'T KNOW WHY HONDA DOESN'T DO A RECALL TO FIX THIS ISSUE, THEY ARE DOING ONE FOR THEIR AIRBAGS ALREADY, WHY NOT ADD THIS TOO. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD AND A MAJOR ACCIDENT JUST WAITING TO HAPPEN.
CLEAR COAT FAILED ALLOWING PAINT TO BE EXPOSED. PAINT IS NOW DETERIORATING, EVENTUALLY LEADING TO RUST. EXTENSIVE FAILURE ON ROOF, TRUNK AND FRONT FENDER.

MY PAINT ON THE TOP OF MY CAR IS DECAYING LIKE CRAZY. IT IS CHIPPING OFF AND LOOKS HORRIBLE.
TAKATA RECALL I HAD AN AIR BAG RECALL BACK IN 2016. I NOTICED THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM OF THE CAR IS ALWAYS GIVING ME PROBLEMS. FOR EXAMPLE THE LIGHT INSIDE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE VEHICLE WORKS WHENEVER IT FEELS LIKE WORKING. SECOND THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE WINDOW MOTOR I ALREADY CHANGED IT 3 TIMES AND IT'S STILL GIVING ME TROUBLE. I ALREADY SPENT TOO MUCH MONEY I GAVE UP ON TRYING TO FIX IT. ALSO I ALREADY LOST COUNT ON HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE CHANGED MY BRAKES MINDING THAT I HARDLY DRIVE MY CAR. IN ADDITION MY GAS NEVER LAST EITHER NO MATTER WHAT KIND OF GAS I PUT. TRIED ALL OF THEM AND IT'S ALWAYS THE SAME. I BOUGHT MY VEHICLE BECAUSE THEY PROMISED ME I WOULD SPEND LESS GAS BUT THAT WAS NOT TRUE.
TAKATA RECALL A ACCIDENT BUT AIRBAG DIDN'T USE, AND THEN I REPAIRED THE CAR, REPLACED THE DOOR. YESTERDAY I WENT TO DEALER TO SELL MY CAR, THEY TOLD ME THIS PROBLEM, BUT IT IS NOT MINE, THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE RECALLED, AND MY ELECTRONIC CONTROL SYSTEM, VEHICULAR AUDIO SYSTEM CABLE DOESN'T WORK TOO. MY FRIEND WAS INJURED AND WENT TO EMERGENCY ROOM, IT COSTED THOUSAND OF DOLLARS.
I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM HONDA IN JULY 2016, STATING THAT MY PASSENGER AIRBAGS WERE BEING RECALLED AND THE PARTS WOULD BE READY IN LATE SUMMER/EARLY FALL 2016. THE LETTER STATED THAT I SHOULD NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO SIT IN MY PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL THE AIRBAGS WERE REPLACED AS SHRAPNEL COULD BE DISLODGED IN AN ACCIDENT. ITHE IS NOW THE END OF DECEMBER 2016 AND I HAVE STILL NOT HEARD BACK FROM HONDA WITH A SOLUTION. I ALSO DON'T FEEL THAT IT IS ETHICAL TO ASSUME THAT SHOULD SHRAPNEL FLY FROM MY AIRBAGS DURING AN ACCIDENT, NO ONE ELSE IN THE CAR NOT SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WILL BE AFFECTED.
