The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard. The vehicle was condemned a total loss by the insurance company. The contact was later treated at a local medical center. The contact sustained injuries to the right side, upper and lower back, and the neck. A Police report was filed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 37,082.
