The contact owns a 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 MPH a loud banging noise suddenly occurred and the vehicle had become undrivable. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that the front passenger’s side wheel had failed and was positioned sideways. The vehicle was eventually towed the local collision center who diagnosed that the front passenger’s side lower ball joint disintegrated causing the wheel to pull away from the axle and the sway bar to fail. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 10,000.
