AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS WILL UNLOCK ON ITS OWN WHILE DRIVING.
TAKATA RECALL. I CALLED 4X NOW REGARDING THE AIRBAG RECALL. MY ORIGINAL CALL TO THE DEALERSHIP WAS 4/19, ACTUALLY THAT WASN'T MY ORIGINAL THAT WAS WHEN THEY FINALLY TOLD ME THAT I COULD ORDER A PART. I ORIGINALLY WAS TOLD THEY'D CONTACT ME WHEN THE PART ARRIVES... SO AFTER CALLING 2 MORE TIMES SOMEONE SAID I COULD SPECIFICALLY ORDER A PART, SO NATURALLY I DID. AFTER FOLLOWING UP A FEW MORE TIMES, IT STILL ISN'T THERE! IT IS NOW JULY 22ND. IT'S BEEN OVER 3 MONTHS AND MY PART THAT THEY "ORDERED" IS NOT THERE. I WAS TOLD THAT MY CAR IS A PRIORITY B/C WE LIVE IN TAMPA, FL AND IT'S GROSSLY MUGGY AND HOT AND THAT APPARENTLY IS A CONDITION OF THE AIRBAG SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUSTING. SO HERE WE ARE, I AM FILING A COMPLAINT. I WILL FOLLOW UP AGAIN WITH THE DEALERSHIP IN A WEEK OR SO. IT'S KUHN HONDA ON [XXX]. THE HONDA DEALER IN CHARLOTTESVILLE, OFFERED ME A RENTAL AFTER TWO TRIPS OVER TO THEIR OFFICES. THAT WAS BEFORE APRIL 19. TODAY JULY 5, THEY CALLED TO PICK UP THE CAR AND REPLACE THE DRIVERS AIR BAG. THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FIX THE PASSENGER AIR BAG UNTIL IT COMES IN, BUT THEY ARE TAKING AWAY THE RENTAL AND TELLING ME TO HAVE NO ONE SIT IN THE FRONT SEAT. THE CAR IS DRIVEN BY A 17 YEAR OLD AND I DONT THINK I WANT HER DRIVING A HALF FIXED CAR. ADDITIONALLY, WE HAVE A RIDGELINE TRUCK THAT WAS RECALLED AND IN LATE JUNE THEY CALLED TO FIX THE AIR BAG WHEN WE WENT TO PICK IT UP THEY SAID ONLY ONE AIR BAG IS FIXED NO ONE CAN SIT IT THE PASSANGER SEAT. WHILE THIS TRUCK HAS THE CAPACITY FOR 5 PEOPLE THE TRUCK IS USED BY MY SON WHO USING THE JUMP SPACE FOR HIS TRIATHLON GEAR AND FILLS THE TRUCK WITH PASSENGERS FOR TRIATHLONS.

AFTER CONTACTING THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WERE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND NO ESTIMATED TIME FOR RECEIVING THE PARTS COULD BE GIVEN. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
"TAKATA RECALL" I BOUGHT THIS 2007 IN 2006 OFF THE SHOWROOM FLOOR. IT WAS A 100% JAPAN BUILT WITH ALL THE EXTRAS. I LET MY DAUGHTER BY IT OFF ME TO GO TO COLLEGE AND SHE PAID THE LOAN OFF OF $17,000 I HAVE TAKEN IT TO DEALERSHIP FOR RECALL SEVERAL MONTHS AGO AND THEY WILL NOTIFY ME WHEN THERE IS A FIX. I HAVE A CAR IN MY DRIVEWAY THAT NOBODY IN THE FAMILY WANTS TO DRIVE. THERE HAS GOT TO BE A RECOURSE...LIKE TAKE IT OUT FOR NOW,,,SO WE CAN USE A VEHICLE THAT I'M PAYING INSURANCE ON BECAUSE I FEEL SO BAD FOR MY DAUGHTER. SHE IS GETTING A RIDE TO PURDUE HER SENIOR YEAR AND FEELS THREATENED BY A FIRST CAR SHE HAS PURCHASED.

TAKATA RECALL -I AM FILING A COMPLAINT AS PACIFIC HONDA IN HONOLULU, HAWAII, DID NOT REPAIR MY VEHICLE IN A TIMELY MANNER, WHICH PER AMERICAN HONDA IS 60 DAYS FROM THE DATE I FIRST CONTACTED THE DEALER FOR A REPAIR APPOINTMENT, MARCH 2016.THEY OFFERED A COMPACT RENTAL CAR AT 35.99 PER DAY BUT I NEEDED A LARGER CAR FOR WORK TO TRANSPORT SUPPLIES AND SHARED THE CAR WHEN MY SON RETURNED FROM COLLEGE IN MAY. I WOULD NEED TO PAY MORE FOR AN SUV PLUS AN ADDITIONAL 12.99 PER DAY, SINCE MY SON WASN'T 25 YEARS OLD. THEY PROMISED TO CALL AS SOON AS THE PART WAS AVAILABLE IN JULY. I CONTACTED THEM SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE JULY, THEN IN AUGUST WHEN THE AGENT SAID SHE WOULD ASK THE MANAGER TO AUTHORIZE DETAILING OF MY CAR, SINCE MOLD HAD GROWN ALL OVER THE INTERIOR AND MY CAR BATTERY DIED TWICE. I AGAIN LEFT A MESSAGE ON SEPTEMBER 2 TO ADVISE THAT I WANTED TO PICK UP A RENTAL CAR ON SEPTEMBER 5TH, HAVE MY CAR CLEANED AND REPAIRED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. TERRY, FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT RETURNED MY CALL AT 6:26 PM, AND ASKED IF I EVER CONTACTED HONDA, THEN ADVISED THAT THEY NO LONGER OFFERED A RENTAL CAR, (AS OF A WEEK OR TWO AGO) AND THE SERVICE MANAGER COULD CALL ME BACK ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6. THEN, WHEN I BECAME UPSET, SHE OFFERED AN APPOINTMENT ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH TO REPLACE THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG. IF THE APPOINTMENT WAS AVAILABLE, WHY WASN'T I CALLED AND SCHEDULED SOONER? WE REALIZE IT WAS NOT THE FAULT OF PACIFIC HONDA, THAT THE AIRBAG WAS DEFECTIVE, HOWEVER, IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION IN A TIMELY MANNER AND OFFER A COMPARABLE REPLACEMENT OR COMPENSATION FOR THE INCONVENIENCE WHEN A COMPARABLE REPLACEMENT WITHOUT ADDITIONAL EXPENSE IS NOT OFFERED. WE THINK WE HAVE BEEN MORE THAN REASONABLE WAITING FOR THE PART, AS WELL AS SAVING HONDA OVER $5,400.00 IN RENTAL CAR FEES (AS I COULD HAVE HAD IT FOR OVER THE PAST 150+ DAYS AT 35.99 PER DAY)

THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ACTUATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. I CALLED THE HONDA DEALER AND THEY EXPLAINED HOW I WAS TO RENT A CAR FOR REPLACEMENT BECAUSE PARTS WILL NOT BE READY UNTIL LATE SUMMER 2016. THIS IS ALL GOOD, EXCEPT I USE THE CAR TO TOW BEHIND MY MOTORHOME ALL SPRING AND SUMMER. I CALLED HONDA NATIONAL HOTLINE AND THEY GAVE ME NO ANSWER TO HOW I WOULD FIND A CAR TO TOW BEHIND MY MOTORHOME ALL SUMMER. IS THIS THE SPIRIT OF THE RECALL? I CANNOT DRIVE THE CAR SAFELY SO IT IS BASICALLY USELESS TO TOW IT.
I HAVE CONTACTED HONDA, BASED ON THE RISK TO MY FAMILY AND NEED TO USE THE CAR. WAITED FOR 90 MINS ON CALL, WITHOUT RESPONSE. CALLED DEALER INDICATED ON THEIR WEBSITE. SERVICE SPECIALIST WAS NOT PREPARED TO EVALUATE CASE, SAYING THAT ALTERNATING TRANSPORTATION UNTIL CAR IS FIXED WOULD NOT BE FEASIBLE. I NEED A CAR TO GO TO WORK AND TRAVEL WITH THE FAMILY, WHO IS IN RISK OF DEADLY INJURY. PLEASE ADVICE AND/OR WORK WITH HONDA SO THAT THE SITUATION CAN BE MANAGED AS SPECIFIED IN THE RECALL LETTER I HAVE RECEIVED. THANKS IN ADVANCE, FABIO THIERS

CONTACTED ARLINGTON VANDERGRIFF HONDA DEALER, TOLD ME WEREN'T AVAILABLE YET. 2 MONTHS LATER, WENT BACK, THEY MADE UP A WORK ORDER FOR THE REPAIR AND TOLD ME THEY WOULD NOTIFY ME WHEN PARTY ARRIVED. IT IS NOT THE END OF JULY AND I HAVE STILL NOT GOT THIS RECALL FIXED. THEN, ON TOP OF THAT, TODAY I RECEIVED ANOTHER RECALL FOR THE OTHER FRONT AIRBAG. DO THEY NOT CARE ABOUT OUT SAFETY AND LIVES. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE CALLED MY DEALER DCH HONDA OLD BRIDGE NUMEROUS TIMES STARTING IN MARCH 2016 THEY NEVER CALL BACK AND KEEP SAYING CALL BACK IN A FEW WEEKS.I WANT THIS AIRBAG RECALL FIXED PLEASE.

RECEIVED NOTICE FOR RECALL FOR PASSENGERS SIDE AND CALLED HONDA AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE REPLACEMENTS NOR DID THEY KNOW WHEN THEY WOULD BE IN. STILL DRIVING CAR WITH FAULTY AIRBAGS AND NO RESOLUTION IN SIGHT.

THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE AIRBAGS FOR MY HONDA CR-V WHICH INCLUDED A WARNING THAT THE DRIVER AS WELL AS PASSENGERS COULD BE KILLED BY THIS DEFECT, HOWEVER THE PARTS TO FIX THE PROBLEM WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE END OF SUMMER - UP TO 5 MONTHS FROM NOW. IT'S BEEN TWO WEEKS SINCE I FIRST CONTACTED AMERICAN HONDA AND MY LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP AND I STILL HAVEN'T BEEN PROVIDED WITH A RENTAL VEHICLE SIMILAR TO THE VEHICLE I OWN.

TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED A AIRBAG RECALL NOTICE IN MARCH AND EVERY TIME I CALL THE DEALER, THEY SAY THE PART IS NOT AVAILABLE. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 6 MONTHS NOW, AND THERE IS NO END IN SIGHT. I OPENED A CASE WITH HONDA 04593716 BUT THEY DID NOT HELP AT ALL.
