UPON TURNING ENGINE ON AND EVEN WHEN THE FAN/AC IS TURNED OFF AND #35 FUSE REMOVED, AC LINE IS COLD AND LOUD SOUND COMING FROM AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH ALONG WITH SMOKE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE LOCKING MECHANISM FAILED. THE LOCKS ENGAGED ON THEIR OWN AND TRAPPED THE PASSENGER INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE ELECTRONIC KEY NUMEROUS TIMES, HEARD THE LOCK CLICK, AND MANAGED TO QUICKLY REMOVE THE PASSENGER FROM THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE LOCK SYSTEM RE-ENGAGED AND LOCKED ALL THE DOORS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR FURTHER INSPECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE ENTERING THE RESIDENTIAL GARAGE, THE BUMPER SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE RACK AND FRONT HAD BEEN IMPACTED UNDERNEATH CAUSING IT TO BECOME LOOSE AND OUT OF ALIGNMENT. THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE A BODY SHOP FOR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,590.
RACK AND PINION STEERING SYSTEM REPLACED, LEAKING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING AT 15 MPH AND MAKING SHARP TURNS, THE VEHICLE WAS LEAKING POWER STEERING FLUID. IN ADDITION, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWERING STEERING RACK NEEDED TO REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
I NEED HONDA'S SERVICE BULLETIN "12-072" REGARDIND THE WARRANTY EXTENSION OF THE AC COMPRESSOR TO MAKE SURE MY REPAIRS ARE COVERED.
FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LOCK IS UNLOCKING WHEN ALL THE OTHER DOORS ARE LOCKED AND LOCKING WHEN THE OTHER DOORS ARE UNLOCKED, I CANNOT LOCK ALL THE DOORS ON THE CAR AT THE SAME TIME LEAVING THE CAR AND PASSENGERS VULNERABLE TO THEFT WHEN DRIVING OR WHEN THE CAR IS PARKED. *JS
I HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE BATTERY BEING DEAD. SIX TIMES I HAD TO CHARGE THE BATTERY OR HAVE IT TOWED IN TO BE SERVICED. THE FIRST TIME THE DEALER CHARGED THE BATTERY AND SAID IT WAS FINE. THE SECOND TIME THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY. THE THIRD THRU FIVE TIME I HAD TO CHARGE THE BATTERY IN MY GARAGE, AFTER BUYING A CHARGING UNIT. THE SIX TIME I HAD IT TOWED IN FROM MY GARAGE TO THE DEALER. I READ ON THE INTERNET THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE A/C RELAY AND I ASKED THAT IT BE REPLACED. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THERE PROBLEMS WITH OTHER YEARS BUT NOT WITH THE 2009. I ALSO HAVE AN ADVANTAGE EXTENDED WARRANTY UP TO 10/23/2019 BUT THEY SAID IT WASN'T COVERED. I PAID $90.94 TO HAVE THE A/C RELAY REPLACED AND SO FAR THE CAR IS STARTING. I THINK THE COST OF $90.94 SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED BY HONDA OR MY ADVANTAGE WARRANTY. *TR
ON MY LAST 2 VISITS TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP, I HAVE BEEN TALKED WITH ABOUT REPLACING MY TIRES. THE TIRES ARE ORIGINAL TO THE CAR AND ARE THE CONTINENTAL 4X4 CONTACT M&S 225165R 17 102T. I HAVE 18,00 MILES ON THE CAR AND IT IS KEPT IN A GARAGE WHEN NOT DRIVING. I WAS TOLD THAT THE TIRES WERE "SOFT" AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $633.60 PLUS. I WAS SURPRISED BECAUSE I THOUGHT TIRES LASTED A LOT LONGER THAN 18,000. I THOUGHT TIRES LASTED 50,000 TO 65,00 MILES IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE TIRES THAT ARE ON MY CAR. I HAVE NOT REPLACED THE TIRES. DO THESE ORIGINAL TIRES HAVE PREMATURE OR UNEVEN WEAR, IN WHICH CASE THEY SHOULD BE REPLACED FREE. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER ON THREE OCCASIONS, BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DUPLICATED. ON ONE OCCASION, THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE STARTER BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT RECTIFIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
EXITING THE SMALL TO MODERATE SIZED PARKING LOT I WAS STOPPED AT THE RED LIGHT. THIS IS A T INTERSECTION WHERE ONE MUST TURN RIGHT OR LEFT. AFTER THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN I SLOWLY ACCELERATED TO TURN LEFT WHEN THE CAR ACCELERATED IMMEDIATELY TO ABOUT 50 MPH WHILE I WAS ENTERING THE INTERSECTION, I MANAGED TO TURN LEFT. DESPITE VIGOROUSLY BRAKING, THE CAR CONTINUED AT WHAT SEEMED LIKE AN INCREDIBLE SPEED, IT FELT LIKE AN ACCELERATING RACE CAR. I HIT A TRUCK AND ANOTHER CAR SIDESWIPING THEM AS I TRIED TO SWERVE OUT OF THE WAY OF TRAFFIC AND PARKED CARS. THE CAR TRAVELLED APPROXIMATELY 1/5 OF A MILE BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO STOP BY PUTTING THE VEHICLE IN PARK. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. *JS

Rust/safety issue related to Honda crv underbody, frame, rear trailing arm and related parts - extensive rust and integrity issues
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 2 MPH, THERE WAS A STRONG BURNING ODOR COMING FROM THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE BECAME HARD TO MANEUVER AND THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE A/C COMPRESSOR CLUTCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 109,000. THE CONSUMER STATED THE BELT HAD SNAPPED AND STARTED TO BURN CAUSING SMOKE TO BILLOW INTO THE VEHICLE, AS WELL AS LOSS OF POWER STEERING ALONG WITH OTHER FUNCTIONS. THIS INVOLVES MY TIRES ON MY 09 HONDA CRV. I AM THE ORIGINAL AND ONLY OWNER - TWO YEARS AGO, JULY 9,2011 I BROUGHT MY CAR IN FOR ROUTINE SERVICING AND TIRE ROTATION AND WAS ADVISED MY TIRES (ORIGINAL YOKOHAMA) WERE CHOPPY AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE DEALER AT THE TIME ONLY RECOMMENDED REPLACEMENT WITH THE SAME TIRES WHICH I REFUSED AS I FELT THEY WORE PREMATURELY AND REPLACED THEM AT A TIRE DEALER WITH COOPERS. NOW, TWO YEARS ALMOST TO THE DAY, I BROUGHT MY CAR IN FOR TIRE ROTATION AND BALANCING AND WAS TOLD THE TIRES ARE CHOPPY AND NEED REPLACEMENT AGAIN, THIS TIME 92,000. IS THIS A DEFECT? PROBLEM WITH DOOR LOCK. MAKING NOISE WHILE START DRIVING -BACK DOOR NOT LOCKING. I DID FIND OUT THAT HONDA HAVE SOME ISSUE WITH POWER DOORS. WENT TO DEALER TO FIND OUT IF THERE IS THE RECALL. EVEN WHEN SO MANY CUSTOMERS HAVE PROBLEMS -HONDA NOT FACING PROBLEM. *TR
FOR THE PAST MONTH OR SO MY CAR DOORS WILL NOT ALL UNLOCK WITH THE KEY FOBS. THE REAR DOOR AND TRUNK WILL NOT ALWAYS OPEN. ADDITIONALLY, WHEN DRIVING SLOW OR MAKING SLOW TURNS, THE DOOR LOCKS WILL LOCK AND OR UNLOCK AS I AM DRIVING. WILL BE GOING TO THE DEALER AND HOPEFULLY HAVE THEM FIX THIS. I WAS TRYING TO PARK MY CAR BACKWARDS. MY CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND I COULDN'T CONTROL THE SPEED OF MY CAR. I WAS ALSO UNABLE TO STOP MY CAR. *TR

DASH DIGITAL READOUT FOR GAS, ,MILEAGE, TEMP ETC STARTED BLINKING ON AND OFF AND EVEN DISAPPEAR AND THEN BLINK OFF AND ON. MECHANIC SAYS REQUIRES REPLACEMENT OF MICU UNIT AT A COST OF $600. VEHICLE NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. *TR
THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR LOCK STOPPED WORKING, THEN WITHIN DAYS, THE DOOR LOCKS STARTED CYCLING CONSTANTLY WHILE THE CAR WAS MOVING. ALSO, THE REAR HATCH WOULD ALSO NOT UNLOCK. AT TIMES THE REMOTE WOULD NOT UNLOCK THE DOORS. THE REPAIR WAS TO REPLACE THE INNER DOOR HANDLE, AS THE ACTUATOR WAS DEFECTIVE. *TR
DRIVER DOOR UNLOCKS WHENEVER THE CAR MAKES A RIGHT TURN. DOME LIGHT GOES ON. DOOR RE-LOCKS WHEN STOPPING AND STARTING, UNLOCKS AGAIN WHEN TURNING. IN CITY TRAFFIC, DOOR UNLOCKS AND RELOCKS CONSTANTLY. (MAKING NORMAL UNLOCKING/LOCKING CLICKING SOUND). I TOOK IT TO THE HONDA DEALER. THEY SAID THEY TEST DROVE IT - SAID THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE AND TRIED TO SEND ME AWAY. I REQUESTED THAT THEIR MECHANIC RIDE WITH ME FOR ONE MORE TEST...THE DOOR UNLOCKED WHEN I PULLED OUT OF THE LOT. IT LOCKED AND UNLOCKED THREE MORE TIMES IN THE NEXT 250 YARDS. THE MECHANIC THEN AGREED THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM. HONDA SEEMS TO BE IN DENIAL. *TR
THE TPMS (TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM) LIGHT ILLUMINATES WHEN I HAVE MY CELL PHONE PLUGGED INTO THE CAR CHARGER. IT STAYS ON UNTIL I UNPLUG THE PHONE FROM THE CHARGER. THIS IS ONGOING AND NOT JUST A ONE TIME INCIDENT. THE CAR HAS BEEN CHECKED BY A MECHANIC AND THE TPMS SYSTEM IS OPERATIONAL WITH NO PROBLEM. *TR
WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID TO FRONT WINDSHIELD FROZE, OUTSIDE TEMP IN TEENS TO TWENTIES. ABLE TO DEFROST BY POURING HOT WATER ON NOZZLES BUT REFREEZES WITHIN MINUTES AT HIGHWAY SPEED. WASHER FLUID RATED TO -20 BEING USED. OCCURS EVEN WITH ALCOHOL ADDED TO FLUID. DANGEROUS PROBLEM IN WINTRY AREAS!! *TR
HIT A CAR WITH THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE. IMPACT CAUSED MY HEAD TO HIT THE STEERING WHEEL FOR WHICH I HAD TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL AND A CAT SCAN WAS PERFORMED. AFTER THE INITIAL FRONT IMPACT, ANOTHER CAR CRASHED INTO MY REAR, AGAIN NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. *TR
THE LOCKING SYSTEM ON MY 2009 HONDA CRV HAS NOT BEEN WORKING PROPERLY FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. THE FRONT AND BACK PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WILL LOCK AND UNLOCK BY ITSELF, THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT AND BACK WILL MAKE SQUEAKING NOISES LIKE IT IS TRYING TO LOCK AND UNLOCK AND THE BACK DOOR WILL NOT OPEN AT ALL WHETHER IT IS TURNED OFF OR RUNNING. I THOUGHT FOR SURE THAT THIS WOULD BE A SAFETY RECALL BECAUSE THE DOORS WILL LOCK AND UNLOCK BY THEMSELVES AND IT WOULD BE VERY EASY FOR A SMALL CHILD TO OPEN THE DOOR AND FALL OUT. MY HUSBAND CALLED THE HONDA DEALERSHIP AND TOLD THEM ABOUT THE ISSUE AND THEY ADMITTED THAT IT WAS A PROBLEM, HOWEVER SAID THAT IT WAS NOT CONSIDERED A SAFETY CONCERN AND RECALL HAS HAD NOT BEEN PUT IN PLACE. THEY ALSO SAID SINCE IT WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY IT WOULD COST $400 PER DOOR TO FIX THE LOCKING PROBLEM. BASICALLY THEY SAID THAT IT WAS NOT A SAFETY CONCERN TO HONDA THAT AT ANY GIVEN TIME MY TWO-YEAR OLD CAN BE LOCKED IN THE CAR WITHOUT ME BEING ABLE TO GET HER OUT OR EVEN WORSE OPENING THE DOOR WHILE THE VEHICLE IS MOVING AND BE SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED. I HAVE BEEN A HONDA DRIVER MY ENTIRE LIFE (7 CARS TOTAL) AND HAVE NEVER HAD ANYTHING BAD TO SAY ABOUT THEM UNTIL NOW. THIS IS A VERY BAD MOVE ON THEIR PART AND HAVE LOST A VERY LOYAL CUSTOMER. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 1 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE TRAVELING 35 MPH CRASHED INTO THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY HOWEVER, CHEMICALS WERE SEEN COMING FROM THE DASHBOARD AND THE FOOTWELL. BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SUFFERED LUNG IRRITATION DUE TO THE AIR BAG CHEMICALS THAT EMITTED FROM THE AIR BAGS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS WHERE IT WAS FOUND THAT THE AIR BAGS WERE ACTIVE AND SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND WAS AWAITING THE RESULTS OF THE INSPECTION. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 106,000. THE CONSUMER STATED AS SHE WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN INTO A PARKING LOT, ANOTHER VEHICLE CAME OUT OF THE PARKING LOT AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED, FORCING HER TO STOP TO AVOID A HEAD-ON-COLLISION AND SHE WAS STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WOULD NOT LOCK AUTOMATICALLY AND THE REAR HATCH WOULD NOT UNLOCK AT ALL. THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LOCK WOULD ONLY LOCK MANUALLY. THE CONTACT CALLED THE DEALER REGARDING THE LOCKING SYSTEM AND THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL COMPONENT FOR THE LOCKING SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT DID NOT HAVE ANY REPAIRS PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,356.

MY 2009 CRV HAD APPROX 38,000 MILES AND THE POWER STEERING PUMP WENT OUT, MY HUSBANDS 2011 CIVIC HAS APPROX 30,000 MILES AND HIS POWER STEERING PUMP JUST WENT OUT ALSO. IS THERE SOME SORT OF PROBLEM WITH HONDA'S AND THIS PART? HAVE OTHERS HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS? *TR
THE FIRST OCCURRENCE INVOLVED THE RIGHT FRONT DOOR LOCK AND THE TAILGATE LOCK. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO LOCK THE DOORS WITH EITHER THE KEY FOB OR THE INTERIOR BUTTON LOCK,NEITHER DOOR WOULD LOCK. AFTER OPERATING THE CAR AND STOPPING ,THE DOORS WOULD MYSTERIOUSLY LOCK THEN. *TR
ATTEMPTED TO PARK MY VEHICLE AND WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE KEY TO EJECT IT FROM THE IGNITION. THIS HAS CONTINUED TO HAPPEN INTERMITTENTLY, HOWEVER, HONDA SAYS THEY CANNOT RECREATE THE PROBLEM, THEREFORE THEY CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THE CAR IS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD AND I HAVE TO MAKE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO STRAIGHTEN THE WHEELS IN ORDER TO EJECT THE KEY. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 WEEKS, VERY FRUSTRATING, PARKING AND REPARKING UNTIL I CAN GET THE KEY OUT, AND APPARENTLY IT'S MY PROBLEM, NOT HONDAS! *TR
A RATTLING NOISE ERUPTED FROM UNDERNEATH MY 2009 CRV, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE HEAT SHIELDS MOUNTS ON THE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS WERE RUSTED THROUGH AT THE MOUNTS AND WERE ABOUT TO FALL OFF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE IN ONLY 3 YEARS OLD, I AM THE SECOND OWNER, PURCHASED VEHICLE IN FEB 2010. AFTER FURTHER INSPECTION IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER HEAT SHIELDS WERE BEING HELD ON BY RADIATOR HOSE CLAMPS. THIS MEANS THAT IN JUST ONE YEAR THE MOUNTS TO THE HEAT SHIED WERE ALREADY RUSTED THROUGH. I PURCHASED THIS FROM A HONDA DEALERSHIP. AFTER CALLING THE LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP I WAS TOLD THIS WAS NORMAL AND NOT COVERED THROUGH THE RUST WARRANTY. HEAT SHIELDS ARE THERE FOR A REASON AND IN ORDER TO PREVENT FIRES. *TR
ONE WEEK AGO PURCHAED A 2009 HONDA CRV WITH 26K MILES. HAVE HAD 2 PREVIOUS CRV'S (1999 & 2002) WE PURCHASED THE 2009, AFTER A 15 MINUTE TEST DRIVE, EVERYTHING SEEMD FINE. AFTER DRIVING FOR THE PAST WEEK, NOTICED HORRIBLE LOWER BACK PAIN, LEGS & FEET HAVING "PINS & NEEDLES" NUMB FEELING & SEAT UNCOMFORTABLE REGARDLESS OF THE MANUAL SEAT ADJUSTMENT POSITION IT IS IN, LUMBAR SUPPORT ON LOWER BACK OF SEAT PUTS TOO MUCH PRESSURE ON LOWER BACK, NO WAY TO ADJUST IT. NEVER HAD BACK PROBLEMS LIKE THIS BEFORE. SEATS ARE VERY FIRM, EVEN ADDING ADDITIONAL CUSHION OR BLANKET DOES NOT HELP. BOTTOM OF SEAT IS AT AN INCLINE, AND IT PUTS STRAIN ON KNEES / LEGS. NO ADJUSTMENT TO STRAIGHTEN SEAT LEVEL FROM INCLINE ON THE LX. CONTACTED DEALERSHIP AND HONDA AND THEY BOTH SAID NOTHING CAN BE DONE. HAVE SEEN SIMILAR COMPLAINTS REGARDING SEATS FOR THE HONDA ACCORD & CIVIC & CRV AT WWW.CARCOMPLAINTS.COM. SEATS ARE CAUSING BACK / LEG ISSUES AND SHOULD BE RECALLED/REDESIGNED AND REPLACED BY HONDA. OTHER CRV'S WE OWNED NEVER HAD THESE PROBLEMS. HEADREST EQUALLY UNCOMFORTABLE, PUTS YOUR HEAD AT A VERY ODD POSITION, CAUSING NECK PAIN. TIRES SEEM TO BE AN ISSUE ALSO, WE WILL BE NEEDING TO REPLACE THEM SOON WITH ONLY 26K MILES, AND 3 YEARS OLD. HONDA SHOULD STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT, BUT THEY ARE UNWILLING TO DO ANYTHING. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE LOADING GROCERIES INTO THE REAR, THE REAR LIFT GATE SLAMMED DOWN ONTO HER HEAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP AND THE COMPONENTS WHICH HELD THE LIFT GATE UP WERE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000. UPDATED 04/20/12
AS THE DRIVER WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE UNDER 10 MPH, THE VEHICLE HAD A SUDDEN ACCELERATION. THE DRIVER HAD JUST REMOVED HIS FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR. AT THE TIME OF THE ACCELERATION THERE WAS NO CONTACT WITH THE BRAKE OR ACCELERATOR. THE CAR DID NOT RESPOND AS THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED AND THE VEHICLE STRUCK A CEMENT BARRIER. (THERE IS A POLICE REPORT FILED FOR INSPECTION) THE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE WAS $ 2,500. THERE WAS NO OTHER VEHICLE INVOLVED AND NO INJURIES REPORTED. *TR
2009 HONDA CRV. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO A HEAD ON COLLISION IN WHICH THE VEHICLE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE CRASH WAS A RESULT OF A RECKLESS DRIVER, IN WHICH HER VEHICLE WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED. THE CONSUMER STATED THE SEAT BELT LOCKED AND CAUSED PAINFUL INJURIES. *JB

I HIT A CAR INFRONT OF ME THAT WAS STOPPING WHILE TRAVELING AT FULL SPEED, APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH. THE DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END IS EXTENSIVE, TO THE POINT THAT THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR CAN NOT BE OPENED, YET THE AIRBAG(S) DID NOT DEPLOY. *TR
AT 17000 MILES THE TIRES ARE DEEMED UNSAFE TO DRIVE DUE TO EXCESSIVE TREADWARE. AT THIS MILEAGE THERE SHOULD BE NO PROBLEMS, HOWEVER, NEW TIRES ARE NEEDED AND THE DEALER SAYS I HAVE TO BUY NEW TIRES. ALSO OTHER SHOPS HAVE SAID THE TIRES ARE UNSAFE AT THIS LOW MILEAGE. THIS SEEMS VERY DANGEROUS AND AM CONCERNED AS HAVE FOUND THIS AS A COMMON COMPLAINT FOR A CRV. THE DEALER SAYS THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TIRES OR A BAD ALIGNMENT. *TR
2009 HONDA CRV. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO RECALL *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE RECALL THAT WAS PERFORMED DAMAGED HIS VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER STATED HE WOULD LET THE VEHICLE WARM UP EVERY MORNING AS THERE WAS A SOFT IDLE. HOWEVER, SINCE THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED THE IDLE WAS ROUGH AND SOUNDED ROUGH AND IT TOOK TWO TIMES AS LONG FOR THE VEHICLE TO QUIET DOWN. *JB
THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM IN MULTIPLE MODEL YEARS FOR THE HONDA CRV. YOU CANNOT MAKE IT HAPPEN BY DOING SOMETHING AND YOU CAN GO WEEKS WITHOUT IT HAPPENING. AS YOU ARE DRIVING THE WARNING LETTERS TPMS LIGHT UP AND THE OWNER'S MANUAL TELLS YOU TO IMMEDIATELY CONTACT THE DEALER IF THIS HAPPENS. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO THE DEALER 4 TIMES AND ALSO CONTACTED HONDA CASE # [XXX]. THE DEALER AND HONDA SAID THE PROBLEM IS RADIO FREQUENCY INTERFERENCE WITH THE SYSTEM AND CANNOT BE CORRECTED. WHEN THE TPMS IS LIT THE SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING SO YOU DO NOT KNOW IF A LOW PRESSURE IN ONE OR MORE OF THE TIRES IS PRESENT. PLEASANT VALLEY, NY. BY THEN, THE CONSUMER HAD RECEIVED A LOAN FROM HER LOCAL CREDIT UNION AND THE LOAN WITH AMERICAN HONDA WAS PAID IN FULL. MY HONDA CRV CAME WITH CONTINENTAL 225/65R17 102T TIRES, IT HAS 28000 MILES ON IT 2 YEARS 2 MOS LATER AND THE FRONT TIRES ARE COMPLETELY BALD. THE MECHANIC CHECKED MY ALIGNMENT, THE TIRES HAVE BEEN ROTATED, AND THEY ARE EVENLY WORN. I SEE THERE ARE MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS AND I THINK YOU NEED TO INVESTIGATE- NO ONE EXPECTS TO HAVE TO REPLACE TIRES SO QUICKLY AND IT IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION. *TR
