TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A STRONG VIBRATION FROM THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT WHEN DRIVING OVER 60 MPH, THE ENGINE RPM'S DID NOT READ ACCURATELY AND THE VEHICLE VEERED LEFT AND RIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS NOT ABLE TO BE REPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILAGE WAS 50.
THE CAR VIBRATES HEAVILY AT IDLE. THIS VIBRATION FAR EXCEEDS ANY VIBRATION I HAVE EXPERIENCED IN ANY OTHER VEHICLE AND IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR A NEW VEHICLE. ALL PASSENGERS CAN FEEL THE VIBRATION, BUT IT IS MOST PRONOUNCED IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT - WHEN EMPTY IT SHAKES VIOLENTLY. THE VIBRATION IS SO PRONOUNCED THAT I HAVE A HARD TIME FOCUSING MY EYES RESULTING IN EYE-STRAIN. THE CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH THE VIBRATION (DESCRIBED BELOW) OCCURS WILL NOT BE EXPERIENCED BY MOST TEST-DRIVERS AND SO HONDA IS DECEIVING THE PUBLIC BY SELLING THIS CAR. THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND ARE DOING NOTHING TO SOLVE IT AND THEY CONTINUE TO SELL THE CR-V. THIS IS SHAMEFUL. MY FINDINGS: 1. THE STRONG VIBRATION / SHAKING HAPPENS CONTINUOUSLY WHEN: A. ENGINE IS WARM 5-15 MINUTES B. AT A COMPLETE STOP IN DRIVE C. THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL LOAD ON THE ENGINE (ALL ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS ARE OFF - LIGHTS, AC , RADIO ETC) D. RPMS DROP TO JUST ABOVE THE 500 LINE 2. THE STRONG VIBRATION / SHAKING COMES AND GOES CYCLICALLY WHEN: A. ENGINE IS WARM 5-15 MINUTES B. AT A COMPLETE STOP IN DRIVE C. THERE IS SOME ADDITIONAL LOAD ON THE ENGINE. SUCH AS: AC OR MANUALLY TURNED ON RUNNING LIGHTS - HOW LONG IT TAKES TO CYCLE VARIES, BUT IT WILL DO SO EVENTUALLY. THE RPMS CYCLE BETWEEN THE 550-600 (HARD VIBRATION / SHAKING) AND 750-800?? (AGAIN NOT SURE OF THE EXACT READING) WHICH PRODUCES A MUCH MORE TOLERABLE (ALTHOUGH STILL VERY ANNOYING) VIBRATION 3. THE STRONG VIBRATION SHAKING DOES NOT HAPPEN WHEN THERE IS ENOUGH OF A LOAD ON THE ENGINE TO HOLD THE RPMS STEADY AT THE HIGHER IDLE RPM MARK OF APPROXIMATELY 750-800. ALTHOUGH, THE LESS PRONOUNCED (ALTHOUGH STILL VERY ANNOYING) VIBRATION REMAINS. A. MOST CONSISTENT THINGS TO DO THIS: AUTO-LIGHT FUNCTION WHEN ENGAGED WITH LIGHTS ON & MANUALLY TURNING ON FILL NIGHTTIME LIGHTS . *TR

THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING DOWN A HILL, IT FELT AS THOUGH HE WAS LOOSING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, AS THE RPM REVVED HIGH., THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000. I BACK UP THE CAR OUT OF THE GARAGE AND IT DIES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING UPHILL AT APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V121000 (ENGINE, ENGINE COOLING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
1) NOTICEABLE AND DISTRACTING VIBRATIONS IN D, MOSTLY AT LOW RPMS. AFTER SPEEDING UP (WHICH, IN ITSELF IS A PROBLEM SEE #2), TO SAY 35 OR 40, I LET OFF THE GAS A BIT TO TURN INTO SOMEWHERE OR SLOW DOWN FOR A CAR IN FRONT OF ME. ONCE I PRESS THE GAS PEDAL AGAIN TO SPEED UP, IT'S AS IF I AM STILL IN THE HIGHER GEAR AND THE CAR RUMBLES VIBRATES AND PROTESTS AS IF IT IS GOING 30MPH AND I AM IN 5TH IN A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME WHEN DRIVING AROUND TOWN. 2) STARTING OUT. IT CAN EITHER JUMP OUT WAY TOO FAST OR "SLIDE" UP TO SPEED GROWLING AND VIBRATING ALL THE WAY, ALMOST AS IF THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS ON. I HAVE ACTUALLY CHECKED A FEW TIMES TO MAKE SURE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WASN'T ENGAGED, THE DRAG WAS SO NOTICEABLE. 3) AT ANY GIVEN TIME THE ENGINE WILL REV UP TO 2500 - 3000 RPMS FOR NO APPARENT REASON AND DROP LIKE A STONE TO 1000. THIS WILL HAPPEN ON A HILL, UP OR DOWN, OR ON A FLAT. YESTERDAY I COULD ACTUALLY FEEL THE DROP FROM 3000 TO 1000 IN THE DRIVERS SEAT. I AM NOT PRESSING ON THE GAS PEDAL AT THESE TIMES. THIS IS ABNORMAL FUNCTION. 4) ON THE HIGHWAY , I SLOWED DOWN BEHIND A TRUCK IN FRONT OF ME BECAUSE CARS WERE SPEEDING BY ON THE LEFT. I THEN TRIED TO PASS THE TRUCK AND THE CAR JUST WOULDN'T GO. IT HESITATED AND ALMOST SHUT DOWN. I HAVE NOT TESTED THIS AGAIN BECAUSE IT FELT RECKLESS TO MAKE IT HAPPEN AGAIN. THE BIGGEST ISSUE IS THE INCONSISTENCY OF ALL OF THESE ISSUES. THERE WAS ONE WEEK WHEN THE CAR SEEMED TO FINE FOR A FEW DAYS. BUT THAT WAS IT. SINCE THEN THIS THING SEEMS TO THINK IT KNOWS HOW TO DRIVE ITSELF BUT IT DOES NOT. AND BECAUSE OF ITEMS 3 AND 4, I NO LONGER FEEL SAFE IN THIS CAR. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE SHOOK AND VIBRATED ABNORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DARRELL WALTRIP HONDA (1430 MURFREESBORO RD, FRANKLIN, TN 37067) BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER MENTIONED THAT THE MANUFACTURER WAS WORKING ON THE ISSUE AND THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO OFFER ANY ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED BUT OFFERED NO ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A MANUFACTURER COMMUNICATION REGARDING THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A SOFTWARE UPDATE WAS PREVIOUSLY PERFORMED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE DEALER INSTALLED A RADIATOR CUSHION MOUNT, TRANSMISSION MOUNT, FRONT HEADREST, AND A TAILGATE DAMPER KIT. THE DEALER ALSO UPDATED THE PCM AND TCM SOFTWARE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO IMPROVEMENT IN THE VEHICLE DRIVABILITY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 200. *LN*DT *TR Consumer stated engine loses power and vibrates when engaged in reverse.
MINE IS A 2015 CRV EXL. I CAN'T BELIEVE HONDA BUILT THIS CAR. IT HAS BAD VIBRATIONS WHEN STOPPED AND IDLING, THE ENTIRE SEAT SHAKES. IT HAS BAD ENGINE/ TRANSMISSION SHUDDERING WHEN I ACCELERATE WHEN THE ENGINE CHOOSES A RPM IN THE 1000-2000 RANGE. EVEN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS IT SHUDDERS AT RANDOM INTERVALS. THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM. NOT ONLY IS IT EXTREMELY ANNOYING, IT CAN NOT BE GOOD FOR THE ENGINE LONG TERM. THIS WILL CAUSE A MAJOR ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION FAILURE IN THE FUTURE. HONDA NEEDS TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS PROBLEM, FIND A SOLUTION, AND APOLOGIZE TO ME AND ALL THOSE 2015 CRV OWNERS.
IN JAN 2015 I PURCHASED MY FOURTH HONDA SINCE (AND MY SECOND CRV) FOR THE ABSOLUTE RELIABILITY, QUALITY, DURABILITY, AND PEACE OF MIND THAT I HAVE ALWAYS FELT WITH THE BRAND. THAT HOWEVER CHANGED DRAMATICALLY ON JULY 16, 2015 WHEN, AT APPROXIMATELY 2:30PM, I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE IN A PARKING LOT AT APPROX 5MPH. AS I EASED INTO THE PARKING SPACE WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, MY CAR SUDDENLY LURCHED FORWARD. IT WAS WITH SUCH FORCE THAT THE ENTIRE CAR WENT UP ONTO THE CURB AND INTO THE BUSHES BEYOND. I COULD NOT STOP MY CAR! BEYOND THESE BUSHES WAS A MAIN ROAD WITH HEAVY TRAFFIC. INTUITIVELY, I SLAMMED ON THE EMERGENCY BRAKE, WHICH ULTIMATELY STOPPED THE CAR. MY CAR WAS SO ENTANGLED IN THE BUSHES THAT I NEEDED TO HAVE IT TOWED OUT. ON JULY 21, THE HONDA DEALER SCANNED ALL SYSTEMS FOR DTCS, TESTED BRAKES, AND CHECKED THROTTLE PEDAL OPERATION AND FOUND AT THIS TIME THE BRAKING SYSTEM, THROTTLE SYSTEM AND SAFETY OVERRIDE SYSTEMS ARE FUNCTIONING AS DESIGNED. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION, IT IS APPARENT THAT UNINTENDED ACCELERATION WHILE BRAKING IS A WELL-DOCUMENTED ISSUE. I CONTACTED HONDA CORP ON JULY 21 AND WAS ASSIGNED A REGIONAL CASE MGR WHO INFORMED ME THAT SHE WOULD SCHEDULE AN AMERICAN HONDA REP TO INSPECT MY CAR. TO DATE, I STILL AWAIT FOLLOW UP ACTION FROM MY CASE MGR. THIS EVENT HAS CAUSED, AND CONTINUES TO CAUSE, GREAT ANXIETY AND STRESS FOR ME. I USE THIS UNRELIABLE AND UNSAFE VEHICLE DAILY AND AM CONSTANTLY WORRIED THAT THIS MECHANICAL OR ELECTRICAL ABERRATION WILL REPEAT ITSELF, AND WITH A LESS FORTUNATE OUTCOME.
OK, SO I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW HONDA CRV 2015 ON 12/01/14. WHEN I DROVE IT HOME I FELT THE HUGE VIBRATION AT IDLE, SO I SAID TO MYSELF OK MAYBE THE ENGINE IS NEW SO IT NEEDS BREAKING TIME. HOWEVER AFTER DRIVE EVERYDAY FROM HOME TO WORK, AND WORK TO HOME, THE CRV 2015 HAS A MAJOR PROBLEM. WHEN IT'S IN D MODE AND BRAKE PRESSED, THE RPM STAYS AROUND 600, WHEN I'M WAITING FOR RED LIGHT OR STOP SIGN THE CAR JUST VIBRATES REALLY CRAZY. I HAVE VERY SHORT LEG, SO I'M TRYING MY BEST TO HOLD ON THE BRAKE, BUT THE SHAKE IS MAKING IT REALLY DIFFICULT, NUMEROUS TIME MY LEGS ARE SO TIRED I HAD TO PUT ON PARKING MODE. THE PROBLEM WONT OCCUR WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD OR THE HEATER FAN IS ON HIGH. AND I CONTACTED HONDA CORPORATE, THEY SAY ALL THE PARTS ARE GOOD THERE IS NO PARTS DEFECT SO IT DOESN'T QUALIFY FOR RECALL. BUT COME ON! IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE, SPECIALLY IF YOU DRIVE THE VEHICLE IN NEW YORK WHICH INVOLVES COUNTLESS STOPS. I NEVER FILL OUT ANY COMPLAINS, BUT I CANT HOLD MY BIG DISAPPOINTMENT TOWARDS HONDA QUALITY CONTROL. *TR
The contact owns a 2015 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle abruptly switched to limp mode and the vehicle was unable to exceed 20 MPH. The contact was able to move onto the road shoulder and had the vehicle towed to the mechanic. The mechanic performed a diagnostic test that located the failure code at the fuel pump. The fuel pump was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V215000 (Fuel System Gasoline). The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage is 75,065.
