There are 5 owner-reported visibility & wipers complaints for the 2019 Honda Ridgelinein NHTSA's database. These are unverified consumer reports and may not reflect confirmed defects.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Driver side Side View Mirror - No, I had to have it replaced and did not get it back. Please see recalls related to this issue for years 2020 thru 2021 for Honda Pilots, Passports, Ridgelines, and Odysseys. To me it seems they need to go back one more year. Same problem/issue as reported in these recalls. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The mirror (glass part, not the whole frame) was vibrating substantially when driving. Mabe it very difficult to have a clear view out that mirror. Difficult to see here other vehicles where in that mirror. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, dealer saw problem and agreed it was a problem. They replaced it. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Not that I am aware of. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No.
Driving on the Interstate on 4/09/23 my 2019 Honda Ridgeline hood began to vibrate badly. I slowed and pulled over on the shoulder. The hood was barely still connected but had an open gap. I opened and slammed the hood and continued home at a slower speed, (approx. 62 MPH). I had taken the Ridgeline in on Feb. 16, 2022 at the Honda dealer as per Honda's safety recall concerning the Hood Latch Striker Recall. This complaint is that they obviously did not or were not able to fix the problem. I have another appointment at the local dealer in Alcoa, TN. But I worry they may not be able to fix it?
Manufacturer is refusing to complete recall #KCK. Dealer inspected vehicle and says backup camera works so Honda is telling them to do nothing. This was 5 months ago. Unable to get recall removed from my VIN.
MY DASHBOARD ON MY 2019 HONDA RIDGELINE IS MELTING. IT CAUSES A GLARE THAT IS REFLECTED OFF OF THE WINDSHIELD AND INTO THE DRIVERS EYES. THE HONDA FACTORY REPRESENTATIVE SAID THEY WILL NOT REPLACE IT! THIS VEHICLE IS ONLY THREE MONTHS OLD WITH 4302 MILES ON THE ODOMETER! IT WAS DETERMINED TO BE INFERIOR MATERIALS IN OTHER AUTO MANUFACTURERS VEHICLES!
LEAKING WATER ON REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW, CALLED THE C PILLAR LEAK THAT IS WIDESPREAD. MINE HAPPENS AFTER GOING THROUGH A CAR WASH. STARTED LIKE A TRICKLE OF WATER DOWN AND EVENTUALLY GETS WORST. THIS IS MY 2ND 2019 RIDGELINE FIRST ONE HAD A SIMILAR LEAK AND THEY SWAP IT DUE TO LEMON LAW APPLICATION AFTER DEALER FAILED TO FIX AFTER 2 ATTEMPTS. NOW I AN HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE NEW ONE. HONDA EITHER UNRESPONSIVE OR NOT OFFERING ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE, CERTAINLY A FACTORY DEFECT THAT NEED TO BE CORRECTED BY TSB PROPERLY. DEALER IS TRYING BUT HONDA NEED TO BE WAKEN UP. I SEARCHED GOOGLE AND IT HAS HAPPEN TO OTHER PEOPLE TO.
