Since new vehicle''s Forward Collision warning stating "BRAKE" will occasionally appear for oncoming traffic. Vehicle has attempted to brake as well. There is no fix from Honda Motor Co. Vehicle also has an issue with automatic high beams (which has no current fix) which has been filed separately.
Since this vehicle was purchased new the automatic high beams have not worked correctly and will often stay on for incoming traffic. There is no fix for this issue at the moment. Mentioned this issue to Honda Corp and dealership and never heard a response from over two years ago. Brought vehicle recently to other dealer and mentioned my vehicle still has this issue. They completed an unrelated software update. Needless to say my Ridgeline is still having this issue.
THE AUTO HIGH BEAM FEATURE DOES NOT WORK CORRECTLY. TURNS ON AND OFF AT IT'S OWN REFLECTION FROM ROADSIDE SINGS OF ALL SHAPE AND SIZES. FLASHES OTHER VEHICLES WHEN IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE ON LOW BEAM. HAVE COMPLAINED TO HONDA AND WAS TOLD IF I DID NOT LIKE IT TOO DEACTIVATE THE FEATURE.
HONDA VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH THE ZF-9 SPEED TRANSMISSION CANNOT BE PLACED INTO "NEUTRAL" IF THE VEHICLE'S BATTERY IS FLAT. A SPECIAL HONDA TOOL THAT IS NOT INCLUDED WITH EACH VEHICLE, IS THE ONLY WAY TO PLACE THE ZF 9 SPEED TRANSMISSION INTO NEUTRAL, TO ALLOW FOR TOWING, OR PHYSICALLY MOVING THE VEHICLE OUT OF TRAFFIC, IF THE VEHICLE'S BATTERY FAILS. HONDA SHOULD INCLUDE THIS TOOL #07AAA-TZ3A100 LOCK RELEASE, WITH EVERY HONDA EQUIPPED WITH THE ZF 9 SPEED TRANSMISSION.
THE REAR WINDOW SWITCH DOES NOT FUNCTION ON DEMAND WHEN ACTIVATING TO OPEN THE BACK WINDOW IN STATIONARY OR IN MOTION. IT DOES FUNCTION PROPERLY WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECTED AND NOT AT THE WILL OF THE OPERATOR.
2020 HONDA VEHICLES THAT ARE EQUIPPED WITH THE ZF 9 SPEED TRANSMISSION ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO PLACE IN NEUTRAL, IF THE BATTERY IS DEAD. HONDA SELLS A TOOL (HONDA 07AAA-TZ3A100 LOCK RELEASE) FOR $225.00. USING THIS TOOL IS THE ONLY WAY TO PLACE THESE VEHICLES IN NEUTRAL, IF THE BATTERY IS DEAD. HONDA SHOULD BE INCLUDING THIS TOOL FREE OF CHARGE IN EVERY 2020 VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH THE ZF 9 SPEED TRANSMISSION.
THE AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM FUNCTION IS ERRATIC AND HAS SWITCHED TO HIGH WHEN ON-COMING TRAFFIC IS APPROACHING. IT ALSO SWITCHES TO LOW WHEN THERE'S NO ON-COMING TRAFFIC. THIS TYPICALLY HAPPENS DURING HIGHWAY TRAVEL.
The Automatic High Beams on my 2020 rarely activate and when they do, they dim almost immediately after seeing their own reflection even on tiny road markers. Occasionally, they'll activate or flash oncoming traffic which creates a hazard to their visibility and my safety. I alerted my local Honda Dealership at a scheduled service but they stated their were no service bulletins in effect for the Automatic High Beam system, and therefore nothing they would do.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Ridgeline. The contact stated that on several occasions while the rear seat was occupied, the rear passenger’s side door would not open manually from the inside. The contact stated that she had to press the unlock button on the driver's door and physically open the door. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100.
