THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS FOUND THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000.

MY 2005 H2 HUMMER SPEEDOMETER GETS STUCK ,I HAVE SEEN OVER THE PAST WEEK THAT IT GETS STUCK EVERY DAY AND I CANT TELL HOW FAST IM GOING THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND I HAVE LOOKED ON THE WEB AND HAVE SEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME REASON. *TR
THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ON THE VEHICLE WILL AT FIRST WORK INTERMITTENTLY, GOING ON AND OFF AT THEIR OWN WILL. THEN THE WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP WILL TURN ON WITHOUT WARNING, DISCHARGING ALL THE WASHER FLUID ONTO THE WINDSHIELD. THE PUMP WILL CONTINUE TO PUMP, EVEN WITH THE VEHICLE TURNED OFF. THIS CAN ONLY BE REMEDIED WITH THE DISCONNECTION OF THE BATTERY. THE WIPERS WILL THEN NOT WORK. THIS CAN OCCUR AT ANY MOMENT, BEING VERY DANGEROUS. *TR
WHILE DRIVING MY 2005 H2 HUMMER IN A RAIN STORM THE WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR CAME ON AND STARTED SPRAYING WATER AND WOULD NOT STOP UNTIL THE MOTOR QUIT WORKING. THANK GOD I DID NOT WRECK. AFTER CHECKING OTHER SITES AND COMPLAINTS THIS LOOKS LIKE A DEFECT NOT ONLY IN 2003 MODELS BUT 2005 MODELS AS WELL. *TR
SPEEDOMETER NOT WORKING AT ALL. "0" ALWAYS. SOMETIMES WHEN I DRIVE 40-50 ML/H THEN IT WORKS BUT IS NOT CORRECT AND THEN GOES TO ZERO AGAIN. I HAVE TO GET IT FIX TO KNOW HOW FAST IM GOING. *TR
MY TACHOMETER WAS STARTING TO STICK AND NOT IT DOESN'T MOVE AT ALL. NOW MY SPEEDOMETER IS STARTING TO STICK. THE CONSEQUENCES OF NO SPEEDOMETER ARE TICKETS, ACCIDENTS FROM NOT BEING ABLE TO GO SAFE SPEEDS IN VARIOUS CONDITIONS. *TR
WHILE DRIVING THE ROAD CURVED TO THE LEFT. I TRIED TO FOLLOW ROAD AS IT CURVED. I WAS ABLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL BUT THE WHEELS COULD NOT FOLLOW THE TURN. THE HUMMER WENT STRAIGHT CAUSING ME TO GO INTO A DITCH. THE PASSENGER FRONT WHEEL FLEW OFF WITH THE AXEL' PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND. *TR
THE WIPERS WOULD STOP WORKING IN THE FRONT AND START WORKING ON AND OFF AGAIN THEY WOULD STILL WORK ON HIGH SETTING BUT THEY WOULD NOT TURN OFF AND THE PUMP ON THE RESERVOIR FOR THE WASHING FLUID WOULD KEEP SPRAYING EVEN AFTER ALL FLUID WAS GONE I HAD TO PULL OUT MY FUSE TO KEEP IT FROM SPRAYING.TRYING TO FIND OUT IF THIS STUFF IS COVERED ON RECALL OR IF I WILL HAVE TO PAY TO GET IT FIXED OR IF I CAN PLEASE LET ME KNOW I AM NOT SURE WHAT ALL RECALLS NEED TO BE FIXED BUT I WOULD LIKE TO GET THEM DONE BEFORE SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS . *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 HUMMER H2. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING. THE WIPERS TURNED ON WITHOUT WARNING AND THE WASHER FLUID BEGAN TO SPRAY OUT AND WOULD NOT STOP UNTIL THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF. ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, THE WIPERS DID NOT FUNCTION. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR WAS BROKEN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 65,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 71,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HUMMER H2. THE CONTACT STARTED THE IGNITION, SUDDENLY THE REAR WINDSHIELD WASHER DISPENSED FLUID WITHOUT ACTIVATION. THE IDENTICAL FAILURE OCCURRED WITH THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WIPER DISPENSER. THE DRIVER DISCONNECTED THE FUSE WHICH RESULTED IN THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS TO NOT OPERATE. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THIS TIME. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, THE SPEEDOMETER GETS STUCK AND JUMPS AROUND RANDOMLY, THE RPM GAUGE STAYS MAXED OUT, SEEMS TO RESET ITSELF PERIODICALLY AND WORKS RANDOMLY THEN GOES HAYWIRE AGAIN RENDERING THE DRIVER CLUELESS AS TO WHAT SPEED THEY ARE ACTUALLY DRIVING. *TR
2005 HUMMER H2 FRONT WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING IN ON POSITION WHILE DRIVING, THEY WOULD ONLY WORK ON HIGH AND THEN HAD TO BE SHUT OFF JUST RIGHT WHILE DOWN OR THEY WERE RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD. THEN THE WIPERS WOULD COME ON AND OFF WHEN THEY WANTED TOO. THEN THE BACK WINDSHIELD WIPER CAME ON ALL BY ITSELF AND THE WIPER FLUID KEPT SQUIRTING AND THE WIPERS WOULD COME ON AND OFF BUT I HAD NO CONTROL OVER EITHER THE FRONT OR REAR WIPERS AND THE REAR WIPER FLUID. THE FLUID RAN OUT AND THE MOTOR JUST KEPT PUMPING UNTIL MY HUSBAND REMOVED SOME FUSES. I WAS ALMOST IN AN ACCIDENT WITH MY 3 SONS AND THIS COULD CAUSE A FIRE WITH THE PUMP MOTOR NOT SHUTTING OFF. *TW
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HUMMER H2. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH IN THE RAIN THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING. THE CONTACT SAW A RECALL REGARDING VISIBILITY WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER MOTOR FOR THE 2003 MODELS AND IS CONCERNED THAT HIS YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL IS NOT INCLUDED SINCE THE FAILURE IS IDENTICAL TO THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,000.
WHEN DRIVING FOR A LONG DISTANCE (SEVERAL HOURS ) THE SPEEDOMETER ALL OF A SUDDEN DROPS TO 5MPH OR SO EVEN THOUGH I AM DRIVING AT 65 MPH. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE NOW IN THE LAST MONTH ON MY 2005 HUMMER H2. THE SPEEDOMETER ONLY CORRECTS AFTER I STOP AND TURN OFF THE ENGINE.*TR
BRAKE PEDAL WAS PUSHED IN TO SHIFT FROM PARK TO DRIVE. WITH BRAKE PEDAL STILL FIRMLY DEPRESSED, AS SOON AS VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO GEAR VEHICLE BEGAN TO ROLL FORWARD. BRAKE PEDAL FELT VERY HARD AND WHINING NOISE WAS COMING FROM ENGINE COMPARTMENT. VEHICLE SLOWLY STOPPED AFTER DRIVER'S FULL BODY WEIGHT WAS PUT ON PEDAL. THERE WAS NOTHING UNDER THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL WAS CHECKED AND FOUND TO BE APPROPRIATE. VEHICLE WAS LEFT TO RUN FOR A BIT AND WAS TESTED AT LOW SPEEDS. PROBLEM WENT AWAY AS MYSTERIOUSLY AS IT ARRIVED. *TR
VISIBILITY AND WIPER MOTOR CONTROL, AND WINDSHIELD WASHER CONTROL MY 2005 HAS JUST STARTED SHOWING A KNOWN DEFECT THAT RESULTED IN THE RECALL OF 2003-2004, 2006-2008 HUMMER H2. THE WIPERS WILL COME-ON AUTOMATICALLY EVEN IN THE OFF POSITION, WINDSHIELD WASH FRONT AND REAR OPERATE IN THE OFF POSITION AND WON'T STOP. ALL WIPERS AND WINDSHIELD WASH WILL OPERATE AND THEN STOP COMPLETELY OR TURN TO INTERMITTENT OPERATION NEITHER OF WHICH CAN BE CONTROLLED BY THE DRIVER. THIS STARTED DURING A SNOWSTORM IN WASHINGTON DC AND ALMOST CAUSED ME TO CRASH INTO THE BACK OF 18 WHEELER ON I95. *TR
I STARTED MY VEHICLE 4 DAYS AGO AND THE SPEEDOMETER AND GAUGES WERE FROZEN AND DID NOT OPERATE AT ALL. I DROVE TO THE STORE AND THE GAUGE REMAINED AT 0 THE ENTIRE TIME. WHEN YOU ACCELERATE THE SPEEDOMETER DOES NOT MOVE FROM 0 MPH. I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND TURNED IT BACK ON AND THERE WAS NO CHANGE. YESTERDAY WHEN I STARTED THE VEHICLE THE GAUGE WOULD ONLY MOVE BETWEEN 30-50 MPH. TODAY WHEN I STARTED THE VEHICLE IT IS FROZEN AT 120 MPH AND THE KHM(?) DOES NOT MOVE PAST 1.WHEN I ACCELERATE NEITHER OF THE TWO GAUGES ARE FUNCTIONING. I HAVE YET TO REPAIR IT BC IT HAS HAPPENED JUST A FEW DAYS AGO BUT I WAS TOLD THAT I AM LOOKING AT A VERY LARGE REPAIR COST TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD CLUSTER. THE SAME THING HAPPENED IN MY 2003 MODEL AND I SOLD THE VEHICLE. AS WELL THE REAR SUSPENSION IS LOWERING ON ITS OWN TO THE LOWEST POSITION AND DOES NOT GO BACK TO THE NORMAL HEIGHT. I HAVE TO PUSH THE BUTTON ON THE INTERIOR. WHEN I RETURN TO THE VEHICLE THE FOLLOWING MORNING THE REAR SUSPENSION HAS DROPPED DOWN AGAIN. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HUMMER H2. WHENEVER HE CLOSED THE REAR DOOR THE REAR LICENSE PLATE POCKET WOULD BECOME LOOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP , AND HE WAS ADVISED THAT THE PLATE POCKET NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 94173.
FRONT WIPERS STOP WORKING, RADIO STAYS ON WHEN EXIT VEHICLE, HAVING ELECTRICAL ISSUES. RADIO CAME ON BY IT'S SELF AT NIGHT AND DRAINED BATTERY. TURN REAR WIPERS ON THE RADIO WENT OFF. *TR

THROUGH ONLINE RESEARCH, HE DISCOVERED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 08V456000 (VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER:MOTOR). THE RECALL STATES THAT VEHICLES HAVE A CONDITION IN WHICH WATER CAN ENTER THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR MODULE. IF A SUFFICIENT AMOUNT OF WATER ENTERS THE MODULE, OVER TIME, THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WIPERS MAY WORK INTERMITTENTLY OR THEY MAY BECOME INOPERATIVE. THE CONTACT WANTS HUMMER TO REPAIR THIS ISSUE, BUT HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 70,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HUMMER H2. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH IN RAINY WEATHER CONDITIONS, THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WIPERS DID NOT OPERATE WHEN ACTIVATED. THE DRIVER EXPERIENCED EXTREMELY LIMITED VISIBILITY. THERE WERE NO WARNINGS PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY REPLACED THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MODULE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 79,000.
WINDSHIELD WIPERS WORK INTERMITTENTLY, COME ON BY THEMSELVES, THEN WON'T SHUT OFF. THE PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED 5 TIMES IN 3 DAYS. SAME PROBLEMS AS THE 2003 RECALL FOR SAME ITEM.....DEALER SAID WATER IN MOTOR AND OR MODULE CAUSING PROBLEM . HAVE TO BE REPLACED. WAITING TO HERE FROM GM ASSISTANCE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HUMMER H2 SUT. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED WIPER FLUID RELEASING ON ITS OWN. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE WIPER MOTOR CONTROL MODULE WAS RETAINING MOISTURE AND CAUSED THE MOTOR TO FAIL. THE DEALER ESTIMATED THE REPAIR COST AT $500 BECAUSE THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 08V456000 (VISIBILITY: WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER: MOTOR). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
SPEEDOMETER STARTED JUMPING AND STICKING AT 70 MPH MOST COMMON TURN VEHICLE ON OFF ,TRIED RESETTING IT IS AT COMPLETE FAILURE. SOME TIMES IT WILL READ 100 AND JUST STAY THERE VEH. HAS 48,956 MILES ON IT. THANK YOU! *TR

I OWN A 2005 HUMMER H2 AND A PROBLEM DEVELOPED WITH THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS. THEY WILL WORK INTERMITTENTLY AND AT TIMES CONTINUOUSLY ALSO THE WASHER PUMP RUNS CONTINUALLY . DEALER SAID CORROSION CAUSED THE PROBLEM.THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THE WIPERS AND PUMP IS TO REMOVE ONE OF THE FUSES. THE DEALER SAID TO FIX THE PROBLEM WOULD COST APPROXIMATELY $250-$300. THIS PROBLEM STARTED SLOWLY AND PROGRESSED TO BE A CONSTANT ISSUE. I NOTICED THAT ON THE NHTSA WEBSITE THAT THE 2003 HUMMER A SIMILAR PROBLEM RESULTED IN A RECALL OF OVER 13000 VEHICLES ARE OTHER H2 OWNERS HAVING THIS PROBLEM. *DT

I OWN A 2005 HUMMER H2. THE PROBLEM IS THAT BOTH FRONT AND BACK WINDSHIELD WIPERS COME ON BY THEMSELVES WITHOUT TURNING THE CONTROLS ON. IT HAS DRAINED THE WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID RESEVOIR DOWN TO NOTHING. THEY COME ON IF IT IS RAINING OR NOT RAINING. AS YOU CAN SEE THIS PRESENTS A HAZARD IF YOU CAN NOT SEE THE ROAD WHEN THE FLUID IS GOING ON THE WINDSHIELD AND THE WIPERS COMING ON WHEN THEY WANT TO. *TR

2005 HUMMER H2 UNABLE TO STEER ON DRY ASPHALT WHEN AT A STANDSTILL. DEALER REPLACED ALL STEERING COMPONENTS AND IT STILL CANNOT STEER IF AT A STANDSTILL-LIKE WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO PARK IT. I WENT TO ANSWERS.COM AND A HUMMER EXPERT SAID THE POWER STEERING IS WEAK IN MANY GM SUV'S AND CANNOT BE CORRECTED. I HAVE CHECKED WITH OTHER OWNERS, AND HALF SAY THEY HAVE THE PROBLEM, AND HALF DO NOT. IF YOU LET THE VEHICLE ROLL A LITTLE, THEN IT CAN STEER. BUT THAT MAKES IT EVEN HARDER TO PARK. I DECIDED TO LOOK AT A NEW 2008 HUMMER H2, BUT THE ONE I LIKED COULD NOT STEER AT A STANDSTILL, THEY TRIED TO SELL ME A DIFFERENT COLOR, WHICH COULD STEER, BUT I DID NOT LIKE THE COLOR. *TR
TRANSMISSION STICKS IN 3RD. GEAR. DISTRESSED ENGINE ON TAKE OFF. ONLY SWITCHES IN AND OUT OF 2ND AND 3RD GEAR MANUALLY. GM DENIES WARRANTY ON TRANS. STATES TRANS. MALFUNCTION DUE TO OVER STRESSING CAUSED BY AFTERMAKET SUPER CHARGER PURCHASED BY OWNER. *JB
H2 HUMMER SWAYS FROM LEFT TO RIGHT FINAL IMPACT HIT PARKED CAR OFFERED TO REPAIR, I DECLINED, I DO NOT WANT TO DRIVE A HUMMER AGAIN . I TURNED OVER TO THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT FOR GM NO RESPONSE YET , HAPPENED JULY 26. *NM
DT: THE CONTACT STATED THE SKY LIGHT ON HUMMER HAS MUCH WIND TUNNEL NOISE THROUGH IT. SHE COULD NOT HEAR THE RADIO. A MANAGER OF THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLD HER THAT THE NOISE WAS GIVEN, AND THERE HAD BEEN A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT IT. THE CONTACT SAID SHE DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS WHEN SHE BOUGHT THE CAR. SHE HAD IT FIXED TWICE. THE FIRST TIME IT WAS ON 3-24-2005. THEY SAID THE SUN ROOF RETAINER WAS LOOSE AND THEY FIXED IT. THE SECOND TIME WAS ON 5-10 -2005, AND THEY APPLIED DOUBLE SIDED TAPE. SHE WAS STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. *AK
2005 AM GENERAL HUMMER H2 BRAKES GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR ON A PANIC STOP. THIS PROVIDES NO FEEDBACK FOR THE HUMAN-MACHINE INTERFACE. THIS IS CONTRARY TO ACCEPTED VEHICLE BRAKE DESIGN PRACTICE AND MAY CAUSE A DRIVER TO PANIC.
2005 H2, PURCHASED 10/2004 THERE IS A NOISE THAT CANNOT BE LOCATED AND REPAIRED. SEWELL CADILLAC, DALLAS, TEXAS REPLACED THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL (IT HAD METAL SHAVINGS IN IT), REPLACED REAR SPRINGS OBSERVING THEY WERE OVER EXTENDED, BUBBLED AND WARPED. THE CAR IN TWO SEPARATE REPAIR TICKETS HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 7 DAYS EACH TIME FOR A TOTAL OF 14 DAYS. IS DOESN'T APPEAR THIS PROBLEM CAN BE FOUND OR FIXED. THERE IS A "DRAGGING" NOISE UPON ACCELERATION BETWEEN 20 - 40 MPH. IT IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE HEARING THIS NOISE. MY NEIGHBOR HAD HER WHEEL COME OFF OF HER 2003 H2. I WAS REQUIRED TO FILL A BLANK SO I CHOSE POWER TRAIN ONLY BECAUSE IT SEEMS CLOSEST TO WHAT IT MIGHT BE, I'M NOT SURE. SEWELL KEEPS TRYING TO FIX THE PROBLEM, JUST UNSUCCESSFULLY.*AK
VEHICLE HAD A BENT RIM THAT CAME DIRECTLY FROM THE MANUFACTURER. CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, AND WAS INFORMED THAT BECAUSE THE RIM WAS BENT IT WAS CAUSING THE TIRE TO GO FLAT. CONSUMER LEFT THE VEHICLE AT THE DEALER FOR TWO WEEKS, AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DEFECT. WHILE DRIVING WITH THIS DEFECT VEHICLE JERKED TO THE RIGHT, KNOCKING DOWN A MAILBOX. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT THE BODY SHOP THE TIRE HAD TO BE INFLATED EACH TIME THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE MOVED. OWNER WAS ALSO TOLD THAT THE RIM WAS BOWED BY THE MANUFACTURER WHICH COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. IT WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. *AK
DT: THE AIR WAS COMING OUT OF ALL OF THE TIRES. CONSUMER DID NOT THINK THE RIMS WERE STAMPED CORRECTLY AT THE FACTORY. WHEN THE TIRES WERE FILLED WITH AIR ONE COULD HEAR AND FEEL THE AIR COMING OUT OF THE RIM. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLING TO THE RIGHT. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP, AND THEY STATED HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS LIKE THIS. IF THE CONSUMER WANTED TO HAVE THE PROBLEM CHECKED HE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.
