I HAVE A 2008 HYUNDAI ACCENT WITH 16" TIRES ON IT. THE MANUFACTURE PUT KUMO TIRE ON IT AND THEY SHOWED WEAR JUST @ 23000 KM .THEY REPLACED WITH A DIFFERENT KIND OF KUMO TIRES AND AT 17000 KM THEY ARE DONE AGAIN. HYUNDAI TELL ME THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH CAR AND TO CHANGE TO A DIFFERENT BRAND. IS THERE A PROBLEM WITH THE TIRE OR CAR. *TR
PURCHASED 2008 HYUNDAI ACCENT FROM METRO SUZUKI, DARTMOUTH NS ON AUGUST17, 2009. WAS INFORMED BY SALESMAN WHEN BUYING THE CAR THAT THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE HAD A BROKEN AND MISSING STUD. BUT WAS REASSURED THE CAR WAS SAFE TO DRIVE HOME(500KM DISTANCE). A FEW DAYS LATER WHEN I HAD THE STUD REPLACE THERE WERE ALSO TWO MORE STUDS BROKEN ON THAT SAME TIRE, SO IN ACTUALITY I DROVE A CAR 500KM WITH THREE BROKEN STUDS. THE CAR WAS SAFETY INSPECTED AND PASSED WITH NO INFRINGEMENTS ONLY DAYS BEFORE THE PURCHASE BY MECHANICS EMPLOYED BY METRO SUZUKI. I FEEL MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY WAS JEOPARDIZED BY THIS HASTY SALE. I FEEL THEY ONLY WANTED MY MONEY AND WERE EAGER FOR ME TO TAKE THE VEHICLE INTO MY OWNERSHIP. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HYUNDAI ACCENT. THE VEHICLE HAS KUMHO TIRES, SIZE 205/45/R16 (NA). WHILE INSPECTING THE TIRE, THE CONTACT NOTICED AN ABNORMAL BLISTER IN THE SIDEWALL OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT TIRE. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL TIRE REPAIR SHOP AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE TIRE WAS UNSAFE. THE TIRE HAD TO BE REPLACED AT THE COST OF MORE THAN $100. THE TECHNICIAN ALSO ADDED THAT THE TIRE STILL HAD SIGNIFICANT TREAD WEAR. SHE CALLED THE MANUFACTURER, BUT HAS NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 4,509.
