THE IGNITION CABLES AND SPARK PLUGS ARE FAULTY AND HAD TO BE REPLACED JUST AFTER 60,000 MILES. I WAS DRIVING AND SUDDENLY MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STARTED FLASHING, MY CAR WAS SHAKING, AND NOT SHIFTING PAST FIRST GEAR. HAD IT TOWED TO A MECHANIC. THEY SAID THE IGNITION CABLES AND SPARK PLUGS WERE FAULTY. THEY HAD SEEN THIS ON HYUNDAI'S BEFORE. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,426.

THE LOCAL DEALER (STERLING HYUNDAI OF LAFAYETTE, 5001 JOHNSON ST, LAFAYETTE, LA) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 17,000.

I CONTINUALLY NOTICED THAT THE AIR VENTS EXPRESS A VERY SMELLY ODOR. WHETHER IT IS THE AIR CONDITIONER OR THE HEATER- MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. WENT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE AIR CONDITIONER RESIDUE AND TO RUN MY FAN ON VENT TO GET RID OF THE MOISTURE BUILDUP. I HAVE DONE THIS FOR A COUPLE WEEKS NOW AND THEY STILL SMELL LIKE MOLD AND MILDEW- I HAVE ONLY HAD THIS CAR FOR 60 DAYS AND CAN'T GET RID OF THE SMELL. I HAVE ALLERGIES AND THIS IS A REAL PROBLEM FOR ME. I HAVE HAD MANY CARS OVER THE YEARS AND NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS EVERY HAPPENING WITH THE AIR CONDITION IN A VEHICLE.
