The Airbag light is staying on. The drivers side seatbelt doesn't tighten..it won't lock tight in the event of an accident. There was no accident..it just started. It's extremely scary..

Additionally, she also noticed that the passenger’s side air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed by an independent mechanic, and the contact was informed that the clockspring needed to be replaced and referred the contact to the dealer for assistance. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was unknown.

THE VEHICLE THE STRUCK A GUARDRAIL, FOLLOWING IT FOR 50FT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. THE CONSUMER'S WIFE WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS AND ENDURED. SERIOUS ISSUES WITH HER NECK, EARS AND HIP. CAR WAS PARKED OVERNIGHT IN MY DRIVEWAY. THE NEXT MORNING I GOT UP, STARTED MY CAR AND NOW THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON. DEALER SAYS I NEED A NEW CLOCKSPRING. MY CAR HAS 53000 MILES. NO ACCIDENTS, OIL CHANGES EVERY 3000 MILES. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN. ITS CLEARLY A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM WITH HYUNDAI.
MY SRS LIGHT IS ON SO I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER TO FIND OUT WHY. I WAS TOLD AND IS ON MY PAPERWORK THAT VEHICLE HAS CODE ASSOCIATED WITH CLOCKSPRING AND IS OUT OF SPEC. CAR WAS STATIONERY AND WHEN I DROVE IT TO WORK ONE MORNING THE LIGHT WAS ON. IT'S NOT SOMETHING I CAUSED AND REALLY DON'T SEAM LIKE A NORMAL ISSUE.

THE FRONT END OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED DESTROYED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE LEFT KNEE, LEFT ARM, SHOULDER, AND FACE. THE FRONT PASSENGER SUSTAINED CHEST AND RIGHT ARM INJURIES. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS RECEIVED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AWAY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
WHEN I CRANK UP MY 2013 HYUNDAI AZERA THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON.I WAITED AND THE LIGHT NEVER WENT OUT.HAD MY CAR SCANNED AND IT STATED THE ERROR IS THE CLOCK SPRING IN THE STEERING WHEEL.I FEEL AS IF MY SAFETY IS COMPROMISED IF THE AIR BAG ISN'T WORKING PROPERLY.I KEEP ALL MAINTENANCE UP ON MY VEHICLE BUT THIS IS OUT OF MY CONTROL.

HYUNDAI DEALER SAID ANY REPAIR IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AS " THE CAR IS NOT DESIGNED TO HAVE WATER INSIDE".
