The paint on all white 2017 & 2018 Hyundai vehicles are defective. I received an extended warranty but was denied stating it had expired. This is very unethical practice in not addressing this issue.

WHEN ACCELERATING AFTER STOP CAR LUNGES AND THEN STARTS TO MOVE, SINCE BOUGHT IT I HAVE TOLD DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES THEY SAY NOTHING WRONG THAT HOW IT IS. ALSO TIRES HAVE ALL FELL APART OR WENT FLAT AND HAVE WIRE SHOWING ON INSIDE . I FEEL THIS IS SAFETY CONCERN AND WHEN BUYING A NEW CAR TIRES SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN 1 YEAR I SHOULD NOT ACCELERATION PROBLEMS EITHER.I HAVE SOME PICTURE
Unfortunately I bought a Hyundai Elantra sport brand new in 2018 i’ve kept the maintenance even to this day the car currently at 147,300miles. However I started having issues at 30,000 miles check engine would go on the car with shake and stall and miss fires would occur frequently. Every time I took it to the dealer they reset the computer but never made an actual note of what was going on with the car. That dealership that I took it at the time was Universal Hyundai in Orlando, Florida. So now that I have 147,300 miles the same misfires are now catastrophic failures on the same cylinders, to add insult to injury I took it to a different dealer located in Sanford Fl so they can try to get willful engine replacement, and my claim was denied because I was out of warranty and over the mileage, the dealership new that I was both over mileage and out of warranty the second I brought the car in somehow I still get charged $213. It seems like no one can do anything about it cause Hyundai America made there decision to deny my claim. These cars are straight up trash my buddies Kia similar situation has made it to 150,000 before he had total engine failure engine seized up on him. To make things worse I’m making payments on a car that’s needs an engine replaced. I’m never buying a car from Hyundai ever again they’re straight garbage and now I have to purchase another vehicle. Thanks Hyundai America for making unreliable vehicles and then taking my $213 to just deny my claim despite having a perfect maintenance record. I hope people read this and realize what crooks you guys are. Side note Hyundai America refused to help, however when I threatened to contact the BBB to complaint about there product the customer service agent Ciani mentioned they will open up case as to why I’m putting a complaint to the BBB, I don’t know what the outcome of this will be but it’s irrelevant I wouldn’t take a free Hyundai even if it was given to me! You lost another customer for life!!!

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE EXPERIENCED A BLOWOUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE COCONUT CREEK HYUNDAI LOCATED AT (4960 N. STATE ROAD 7, COCONUT CREEK, FL 33073) WHERE IT WAS STATED THAT THE TIRE WAS PREVIOUSLY PATCHED. THE CONTACT REPLACED AND ROTATED TIRES. ONE MONTH LATER, THE DRIVER SIDE ORIGINAL TIRE ALSO EXPERIENCED A BLOWOUT. THE CONTACT REPLACED AND ROTATED THE TIRE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT LESS THAN A MONTH LATER A THIRD TIRE OF THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCED A BLOWOUT. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE TIRE. A DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 14,600.
THE REAR LIGHTS, BRAKE AND TAIL LIGHTS , BURN OUT FREQUENTLY. HAD IT REPAIRED TWICE IN LESS THAN 6 MONTHS
WHEN THE VEHICLE IS TURNING RIGHT OVER UNEVEN SURFACES (OR BUMPS), THE VEHICLE MAKES CRUNCHING/CREAKING SOUNDS THAT MAY SUGGEST SUSPENSION ISSUES OR FEAR OF DRIVING THE VEHICLE. DEALER DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THE ISSUE AND UNABLE TO REPAIR. IT WOULD APPEAR RELATED TO ENGINE MOUNT RUBBER THAT CAN REDUCE NOISE IF APPLYING LUBRICATING SPRAYS, BUT UNSURE IF ANY AFFECT TO VEHICLE SAFETY.
GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT BUT THERE WAS IMMEDIATELY AN ENGINE FIRE
HEATING HOSE ASSEMBLY AND UPPER AND LOWER RADIATOR HOSES WORE OUT IN LESS THAN 2 YEARS ON A BRAND NEW CAR. I WAS TOLD IT WAS DUE TO NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. 5 DAYS AFTER I HAD AN OIL CHANGE AND MULTIPOINT INSPECTION DONE ON MY CAR, THE ENGINE OVERHEATED WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I HAD GOTTEN IT SERVICED.
THE ENGINE SEIZED WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE ROAD AND IT STARTED SMOKING. THE CAR JUST STOPPED AND THE ENGINE COULD NOT BE STARTED AGAIN. THE CAR DID NOT WARNING OF OVER HEATING OR OF THE CAR NEEDING TO BE SERVICED. I BROUGHT THE CAR USED AND IT WAS TWO MONTHS AFTER I MADE THE PURCHASE THAT THIS HAPPENED.
I PURCHASED A NEW HYUNDAI ELANTRA 2018 WITH THE ORIGINAL TIRES, HANKOOK VENTUS S1 NOBLE 2. THE TIRES ARE BALANCED, ROTATED, AND ALIGNED EVERY 5,000 MILES. I NOTICED THE SIDEWALLS HAVE SEVERE CRACKS ON ALL 4 TIRES. I FEEL THIS IS A HUGE DEFECT AND IN NO WAY NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. I ALSO BELIEVE IT IS ALSO A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED AND WAS TOLD THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING AS THE TIRES ARE NOT UNDER WARRANTY. I ALSO CALLED THE HYUNDAI COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT AND WAS TOLD THE SAME THING. THEY TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED TO CONTACT THE TIRE MANUFACTURER, HANKOOK. I HAD DONE THAT TWICE BEFORE, AND WAS TOLD I NEEDED TO TAKE THE CAR TO AN AUTHORIZED HANKOOK DEALER. I THEN TOOK THE CAR TO A TIRE KINGDOM, AN AUTHORIZED HANKOOK DEALER, AS RECOMMENDED BY HANKOOK. THE SERVICE MANAGER LOOKED AT THE TIRES AND AGREED THAT THE CRACKED/SPLITTING SIDEWALLS WERE INDEED A DEFECT, CALLED HANKOOK HIMSELF, EXPLAINED WHAT HE SAW, AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING HANKOOK COULD DO. THE CRACKED SIDEWALLS ARE INDEED A SAFETY ISSUE AND AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. THIS IS AN ISSUE WHICH HAS OCCURRED BEFORE WITH THESE SAME HANKOOK TIRES (VENTUS S1 NOBLE 2) ON HYUNDAI VEHICLES, IN WHICH A RECALL WAS ISSUED AND TIRES (47,000) WERE REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL WAS FOR TIRES PRODUCED BETWEEN MAY 2013 AND FEB. 2015. ALTHOUGH MY TIRES HAVE A DIFFERENT DOT, IT SEEMS THEY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM OR WORSE. THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED AND THE PROBLEM NEEDS TO BE REMEDIED BEFORE PEOPLE GET HURT OR IN AN ACCIDENT DUE TO FAULTY TIRES.
The Hyundai Electra 2018 interior door handle is peeling.I have experienced peeling paint issues, also has many legal problems in other countries.
I DRIVE A LOT DUE TO COMMUTING TO AND FROM WORK. RECENTLY I HAVE HAD TO BRAKE SUDDENLY DUE TO RAPID CHANGE IN FLOW OF TRAFFIC. I HAD A NEAR MISS. I WAS 5 CAR LENGTHS BEHIND A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME WHEN TRAFFIC CAME TO A HALT. I WAS TRAVELLING AT 55MPH. I HAD STEPPED ON THE BRAKE AS FAR DOWN AND HARD AS I COULD. MY VEHICLE WOULDN'T STOP. I HAD TO SWERVE AROUND THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME IN ORDER TO AVOID HITTING THEM. MY SEAT BELT DIDN'T LOCK AND I FELT AS IF I WASN'T SLOWING DOWN. THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME WHILE DRIVING AT A SLOWER SPEED OF 30 MPH. I BROKE AGAIN HARD AND MY CAR WOULDN'T STOP.
CAR CONTINUOUSLY SAYS IT OVERHEATING. FIRST TRIP TO DEALERSHIP COULD REPLICATE THE ISSUE. SECOND TRIP A MONTH LATER. REPLACED HEAD GASKET DUE TO LEAK AND EXHAUST PIPE. CURRENTLY SITTING IN IT WAITING FOR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. STILL OVERHEATING NOT EVEN A WEEK LATER ALSO NOW PUTTERS AND SHAKES WHEN I TRY TO START IT.
When I put the nozzle to pump gas, the pump shuts off and clicks as if the tank is full. I have to twist the pump in one specific position and place it about 3/4th of the way in. Sometimes I have had to leave and go to a different gas station if the accordian plastic part of the nozzle is long. It just clicks and shuts off the pump. This happened from the day I first got the car, got gas and never ceases.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2018 HYUNDAI ELANTRA EAST ON STATE ROAD 64 IN BRADENTON FLORIDA AT 55 MILES PER HOUR AND ALL OF THE WINDOWS WERE UP , WITH MY SON I NOTICED A COUPLE OF MOSQUITOS FLYING AROUND AND ROLLED THE BACK WINDOWS DOWN ,AT 55 MPH THE FRONT WINDOW REMAINED UP ..WHEN I ROLLED THEM DOWN I THOUGHT THE WIND TURBULENCE WOULD EXPLODE THE VEHICLE FROM INSIDE ,THE VEHICLE STARTED TO VIBRATE AND LOOKED AS THOUGH THE WINDSHIELD WOULD BLOW COMPLETELY OUT....BOTH ME AND MY SON SAID WHAT IN THE F@CK JUST HAPPENED

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER WHERE METAL SHAVINGS WERE FOUND IN THE ENGINE. THE DEALER ALSO TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE AND WAS ABLE TO RECREATE THE FAILURE. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V568000 (ENGINE). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,000.
PASSENGER SEAT AIR BAG INDICATOR FLASHES AND WARNING SOUND INDICATES SEAT BELT IS NOT BUCKLED WHEN NOBODY IS IN THE SEAT. WHEN ACCELERATING, THERE ARE MULTIPLE HESITATIONS WHERE THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT IS IN PARK OR NEUTRAL. AFTER ABOUT 15-30 SECONDS, THE CAR STARTS ACCELERATING NORMALLY
TAKATA RECALL MY VEHICLE BRAKE GOT STUCK WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. THE CAR ALSO RELEASED A GAS/OIL ODOR WHEN THE CAR HAS BEEN RUNNING. THE CAR HAS ALSO BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS TO START NEED TO ATTEMPT TO TURN ON VEHICLE TWICE BEFORE IT ACTUALLY STARTS. BRAKES HAVE MALFUNCTIONED MULTIPLE TIMES ALREADY AND COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT.
WARNING LIGHT FOR TIRE PRESSURE COMES ON EVERY 4 TO 5 DAYS. TIRE PRESSURE GOES DOWN, EVEN AFTER TIRES HAVE BEEN ROTATED.
I HAVE MID 26K MILES I CHECKED MY BRAKE FLUID AND PADS THEY ARE BOTH GOOD. THE BRAKES FOR THE PAST 3 MONTHS ROUGHLY 15K MILES (I DRIVE 5K MILES A MONTH) HAVE BEEN SPONGY AND SOFT. UNLESS I HIT THE BRAKES HARD THEY BARELY WORK. SOMETIMES I HAVE. TO PUMP MY BRAKES 2 OR 3 TIMES TO HAVE THEM FEEL NORMAL. I'M GOING TO TAKE MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND LOOK OVER THE ABS SYSTEM AND BRAKING SYSTEM SINCE IT SEEMS VERY UNSAFE AND I HAVE A NEWBORN. IT SEEMS LIKE THE CAR ONLY DOES IT AT SPEEDS ABOVE 25 OR 30MPH

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KEARNY MESA HYUNDAI (4797 CONVOY ST, SAN DIEGO, CA 92111, (858) 278-7100) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE EXHAUST ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,086.
THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND MY TIRE PRESSURE WAS DISPLAYED AS 14 PSI ON MY BACK LEFT TIRE. I PULLED OVER AND LOOKED AT THE TIRE AND IT DIDN'T SEEM LOW. I PLUGGED MY PORTABLE TIRE AIR PUMP IN AND ATTACHED IT TO THE TIRE, AND THE GAUGE ON THE PUMP SAID 36PSI, WHICH IS WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE AT. I GOT BACK IN MY CAR AND STARTED DRIVING, AND THE CAR SAID THE PSI WAS BACK TO 36PSI. SOUNDS LIKE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND HYUNDAI NEEDS TO ADDRESS IT. I EVEN TOOK PICTURE OF THE WARNING WHEN IT CAME ON FOR PROOF.

The contact owns a 2018 Hyundai Elantra. The contact stated while driving 60 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated and the vehicle inadvertently shuddered and stalled. The contact stated he was able to veer to the side of the road and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the engine coil pack needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired however, the failure persisted while driving. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer who diagnosed that the engine coil pack needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred while driving and the vehicle was taken to the same dealer who diagnosed that the engine coil pack needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The contact was still awaiting a call back from the manufacturer. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.

THE SUN ROOF WAS IN THE CLOSED POSITION AT THE TIME OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE SUN ROOF HAD NEVER BEEN OPENED PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. ALSO, WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE A WARNING MESSAGE SOMETIMES DISPLAYED ERRONEOUSLY, INDICATING THAT THE SUN ROOF WAS OPEN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,928. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
I HAVE A 2018 HYUNDAI ELANTRA HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY TRANSMISSION. WHEN IN TRAFFIC OR TAKING OFF FROM A STOP THE CAR SHUDDERS LIKE A MANUAL TRANSMISSION CAR WHEN YOU DON'T GIVE IT ENOUGH GAS. I BOUGHT THE CAR BRAND NEW WITH 20 MILES. I AM THE ONLY OWNER. WHEN I BOUGHT I NOTICED THE ACCELERATION ISSUE. I INFORMED THE DEALER 10 DAYS OWNING IT THERE IS AN ISSUE ON THE ACCELERATION. AND TODAY I EXPERIENCED THE CAR WHILE DRIVING AT 55MPH WHEN I WENT TO ACCELERATE TO GO THE SPEED LIMIT OF 65 ON THE MAJOR HIGHWAY GOING INTO SALISBURY, MD THAT THE CAR WOULDNT SPEED UP. AND ABOUT 30 SECONDS LATER THE TRANSMISSION SEEMED TO HAVE DOWN SHIFTED A COUPLE GEARS DUE TO THE RPMS GOING FROM 4600ISH RPM DOWN TO 2000 RPMS AND THAN THE CAR WENT BACK TO NORMAL. WHEN I HAD GOTTEN INTO SALISBURY AND HAD TO STOP IT BRAKED JUST FINE BUT WHEN I STARTED TO DRIVE AGAIN IT START TO FEEL LIKE IT WAS STALLING AND IT'S BEEN DOING IT NOW FOR THE WHOLE DAY. AS WELL AS A BURNING SMELL WHICH I'M 99% CERTAIN IS THE CLUTCH. I HAVE WORKED THE AUTOMOTIVE FIELD FOR ABOUT 7 YEARS. I HAVE A DCT TRANSMISSIONS 2018 HYUNDAI ELANTRA SPORT TECH PACKAGE. WITH THE STEERING WHEEL TURNED TO ITS FAR RIGHT EXTREME, THE FRONT SUSPENSION EMITS A LOUD CREAKING NOISE WHEN THERE IS AN INCLINE, SUCH AS ENTERING A PARKING LOT ENTRANCE OR DRIVEWAY. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME I HEAR THE CREAKING NOISE. THIS CONCERNS ME BECAUSE I'M AFRAID THE NOISE INDICATES A FAILING OR FAULTY SUSPENSION COMPONENT, WHICH COULD POSSIBLY LEAD TO LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL SHOULD THE FAULTY PART FAIL WITH THE VEHICLE IN MOTION.
WHEN ACCELERATING WITH MODERATE TO HEAVY THROTTLE INPUT, THE ENGINE EMITS EXCESSIVE PINGING AND RATTLES NOISES. IT SOUNDS LIKE "SPARK KNOCK". NO MATTER WHAT BRAND OF FUEL OR OCTANE I RUN THE CAR ON, THE ENGINE MAKES THESE PINGING AND RATTLING NOISES. I'VE BROUGHT THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPT. TWICE SO FAR TO ADDRESS THIS CONCERN. I WAS INFORMED THE FIRST TIME THAT THEY HEAR THE NOISE, BUT CANNOT DIAGNOSE IT BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ISN'T ILLUMINATED. ON THE SECOND VISIT, THEY TOLD ME IT IS A NORMAL NOISE FOR THE CAR. HAVING OWNED A HANDFUL OF VEHICLES OVER THE YEARS, THIS NOISE IS INDICATIVE OF SPARK KNOCK. IF THE PROBLEM IS INDEED EXCESSIVE SPARK KNOCK, THIS CAN LEAD TO CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE, CAUSING SUDDEN LOSS OF ALL POWER. AFTER RESEARCHING THE ISSUE ONLINE AND SPEAKING WITH OTHER OWNERS, IT IS APPARENT TO ME THAT IT IS A FAIRLY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE 2018 HYUNDAI ELANTRA SEDAN. I WOULD LIKE HYUNDAI TO INVESTIGATE THIS ISSUE AND COME UP WITH A FIX. THIS PROBLEM HAS EXISTED SINCE BRAND-NEW OFF THE DEALER LOT. THE CAR CURRENTLY HAS APPROXIMATELY 4,000 MILES.
The contact owns a 2018 Hyundai Elantra. The contact had a remote start system installed on the vehicle; however, the vehicle would inadvertently start. The headlights would also activate independently. The vehicle was taken on four separate occasions to the local dealer and was diagnosed that the remote was sticking. The contact was provided new remotes, remote start module, and the mechanic cleared the codes. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.

THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM CONSISTENTLY INDICATES LOW TIRE PRESSURE ON 3 OF THE 4 WHEELS WHETHER STATIONARY OF WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED. MANUAL CHECKING OF THE TIRE PRESSURE INDICATES THE TIRES ARE AT CORRECT PRESSURE. THIS PROBLEM FIRST BEGAN WHILE IN WARRANTY. HYUNDAI DEALER DID A REPAIR. NEXT TIME IT OCCURRED, THE CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND DEALER WANTED A LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO REPLACE THE SENSORS AND MONITORING SYSTEM. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN NOTED ON THIS SITE FOR THIS MODEL. I UNDERSTAND THERE'S ACTUALLY A RECALL ON A SIMILAR MODEL. PLEASE INVESTIGATE.
CAR SPUTTERS AT IDLE, ACTING LIKE IT'S GOING TO CUT OFF. DOES NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY, BUT ONLY INTERMITTENTLY. ONE DAY, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I COULD NOT ACCELERATE AND IT WOULD SPUTTER AT LIGHTS. DROVE IT STRAIGHT TO ADVANCE TO GET THE ENGINE LIGHT CHECKED; NOTHING CAME UP. STARTED THE CAR AGAIN AND IT DROVE FINE, LIKE NOTHING HAD HAPPENED. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY. THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. FINALLY, AFTER LETTING IT IDLE AWHILE, WERE ABLE TO GET A CODE ON THE COILS. REPLACED THEM ALL. CAR WAS RUNNING FINE AFTER THAT. THE SPUTTERING AT IDLE HAS NOW STARTED AGAIN.....LESS THAN 2 MONTHS LATER.
DOES NOT HEAT UP QUICKLY ENOUGH IN COLD TEMPS. IT TOOK 15 MINUTES AT 38 DEG FAHRENHEIT, CITY DRIVING BEFORE THE TEMP GAGE SHOWED NORMAL OPERATION TEMP.

ON 10/13/2018 I TURNED IGNITION ON CAR TO START AND THE CAR BEGAN RUMBLING AND BUMPING AND THE SHUT DOWN AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I WAS STATIONARY IN MY PARKING SPACE AT HOME WHEN THIS HAPPEN...IT ALSO BEGAN BUMPING AND DRAGGING IF TO SHUT DOWN AGAIN ON 10/20/2018. EACH TIME CAR WAS TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP..NEXT, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WHEN BLANK WHILE DRIVING ON 10/20/2018. NOW THIS TIME IT WAS DRIVEN TO DEALER, THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE MAL FUNCTION. THIS WAS ON 10/23/2018 AND 10/29/2018 AT LYNNES HYUNDAI..ON 10/16/2018 VECHICLE WAS TOWED TO HUDSON HYUNDAI FOR THE SAME BUMPING. THEY SAID THE TECH FOUND A SHORTAGE IGNITION COIL AND A CYLINDER MISFIRED AND HE CLEARED THE CODES. COMING HOME FROM LYNNES ON 10/29/18 AFTER THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH CAR, IT BEGAN TO RUMBLE AGAIN. I AM NOT COMFORTABLE DRIVING THIS CAR. WHAT IF YOUR IN HIGH SPEED TRAFFIC AND IT SHUTS DOWN AND YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL GOES BLACK.COULD BE A TRAGEDY, IF NOT SOMEONE'S DEATH
VEHICLE TOOK TWELVE MINUTES TO CLEAR FROST FROM WINDOWS AT 30 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY IN PARKING LOT AT IDLE. VEHICLE STARTED TO SHOW SIGHS OF DEFROST AT SIX MINUTE MARK. VEHICLE WAS DROVE ONE MILE AFTER CLEARING OF WINDOWS AND NEVER WENT ABOVE FIRST MAKE ON ENGINE TEMPERATURE GAUGE.
TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS AND/OR TPMS MODULE PROBLEM. I PURCHASED THIS 2018 HYUNDAI ELANTRA FROM SAN TAN HYUNDAI, GILBERT, AZ 86297 IN LATE MARCH 2018. THE TIRE PRESSURE IN EACH OF THE 4 TIRES WAS 36 PSI, THE COLD TIRE PRESSURE FOR THIS AUTO.IN THE FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST 2018 THE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD CAME ON . I CHECKED THE THE TIRE PRESSURE IN EACH OF THE 4 TIRES WITH A ANALOG AND DIGITAL TIRE PRESSURE METER AND THE PRESSURE IN EACH TIRE WAS ABOUT 32 PSI. I RE- INFLATED EACH TIRE UP TO 36 PSI (SPEC REQUIREMENT) BUT THE WARNING LIGHT STAYED ON. I NOTIFIED HYUNDAI HEADQUARTERS CUSTOMER SERVICE ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND THEY ASSIGNED A CASE NUMBER AND SUGGESTED I TAKE THE NEW AUTO WITH ONLY ABOUT 1500 MILES ON ODOMETER TO SAN TAN HYUNDAI. I HAD TO WAIT ABOUT 2 WEEKS FOR A OCT.18,2018 APPOINTMENT. THE TIRE WARNING LIGHT TURNED OFF JUST BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT, SO I CANCELED THE APPOINTMENT. ON 12-18-2018 THE TIRE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON AFTER THE 4 TIRES WERE RE-INFLATED AGAIN FROM 32 PSI UP TO 39 PSI. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH HYUNDAI'S INDIVIDUAL TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR AND/OR TPMS MODULE ON MY NEW 2018 HYUNDAI ENTRANT. WHEN EACH OF THE 4 TIRES ARE RE-INFLATED TO 36 PSI,THE DASHBOARD TIRE PRESSURE INDICATOR LIGHT SHOULD TURN OFF. I HAVE MADE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT WITH SAN TAN HYUNDAI BUT WHAT I HERE FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE IS: IT MAY COST YOU DOLLARS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM INSTEAD OF INDICATING THAT IT IS COVERED UNDER MY NEW CAR WARRANTY. THIS IS WHY I AM REPORTING MY PROBLEM TO NHTSA. ON LINE REPORTS INDICATE THAT THIS MAY ALSO BE A PROBLEM WITH OTHER HYUNDAI ELANTRA VEHICLES FROM PREVIOUS YEARS.
ENGINE NOISE BECAME VERY LOUD OVER SEVERAL DAYS; TOOK TO DEALERSHIP WHICH TOLD ME A WELD IN THE EXHAUST PIPING SYSTEM HAD FAILED AND THAT THE EXHAUST PIPE HAD BROKEN OPEN. THEY SAID IT WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE BECAUSE OF POTENTIAL FOR EXHAUST COMING INTO CABIN, ORDERED THE PART AND GAVE ME A LOANER, ON 10/2, SAYING THE EARLIEST I COULD REASONABLY EXPECT TO HAVE MY CAR BACK WOULD BE 10/18.
