DRIVERS SIDE SUN VISOR WILL NOT STAY UP AND CONTINUOUSLY FALLS DOWN TO DISTRACT MY VIEW WHILE DRIVING. IT DOES THIS WHETHER DRIVE AT LOW OR HIGH SPEEDS; AND ON SMOOTH ROADS.
THE SUN VISOR ON DRIVER SIDE KEEPS FALLING DOWN AND DOES NOT STAY UP. ITS A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN SUN IS IN MY EYE AND I CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I WOULD HATE AN ACCIDENT WITH SUN IN MY EYE AND GETTING BLINDED.
THE SUN VISORS IN THESE VEHICLES FAIL, AND RANDOMLY FALL WHILE DRIVING WHICH HAS NEARLY CAUSED ACCIDENTS ON THE ROAD WITH ME SEVERAL TIMES. THEY ARE POORLY MADE CHEAP MATERIALS. THE WAY THE VISOR FALLS PREVENTS VIEWING OF THE ROAD ENTIRELY FOR SEVERAL SECONDS UNTIL YOU CAN SHOVE IT BACK UP, AND STRAP IT BACK INTO PLACE, WHICH IS VERY UNSAFE.
VEHICLE HAS 101,564 MILES. DRIVER SIDE VISOR FLOPS DOWN INTO DRIVER FIELD OF VISION. VISOR WILL NOT STAY IN UP POSITION WHEN OPERATING THE VEHICLE. MUST BE REPLACED AS THERE IS NO ADJUSTMENT WHICH CORRECTS THE DEFECTIVE CONDITION. AFTER READING FORUMS THIS WAS A COMMON COMPLAINT BY OTHER OWNERS.
THE SUN VISOR SUDDENLY DROPPED AND IT WILL NO LONGER STAY UP. DANGEROUS IMPEDIMENT TO VISION WHILE DRIVING. APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM, BUT HYUNDAI WILL NOT REPAIR IT ALTHOUGH THEY COULD DO SO AT ONLY MINOR COST.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HYUNDAI SONATA. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE DRIVER SIDE SUN VISOR DETACHED FROM THE CEILING OF THE VEHICLE AND OBSTRUCTED THE DRIVER'S VIEW OF THE ROADWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE SUN VISOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. I'VE REPLACE THE SUN VISOR ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO BECAUSE OF A "DROOPING" SUN VISOR THAT WOULD AFFECT THE DRIVERS VISIBILITY. SINCE THEN BOTH THE DRIVER AND THE PASSENGER SIDE VISORS "DROOP" WHENEVER WE TRY TO USE THEM. THE VISORS ARE ESSENTIALLY USELESS AND A DETRIMENT TO OUR VISIBILITY AND SAFE DRIVING. *TR

THE VISOR ON MY CAR HAS BEEN BROKEN FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS NOW. AT FIRST IT WAS JUST ANNOYING WHILE DRIVING BUT I FEEL IT IS A SAFETY CONCERN NOW. THE VISOR STAYS UP BY KEVLAR BUT I NEED TO REDO IT SINCE THE PLASTIC THREADS ARE NO LONGER HOLDING IT TOGETHER. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO HOLD THE VISOR WITH MY LEFT HAND BECAUSE THE MANUFACTURER DESIGNED THE VISOR BADLY. ON A SUNNY DAY THE VISOR WON'T STAY IN THE POSITION PLACED BUT STAYS IN A VERTICAL POSITION, BLOCKING MY SIGHT. ALSO, THE CUP HOLDER DESIGN IS HORRIBLE. THE AFTERMARKET CUP HOLDERS WON'T EVEN FIT INSIDE. ONLY LARGE DIAMETER CUPS CAN BE HELD SECURELY. STANDARD CUPS ARE NOT HELD SECURE. I NEED TO BE CONSCIOUS OF WHERE THE CUP IS WHEN DRIVING. A CUP HOLDER SHOULD ACTUALLY HOLD THE CUP IN PLACE AND NOT CAUSE CONCERN TO THE DRIVER. *TR

THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VISOR SHOULD BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND ALSO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VISOR WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
BOTH SUN VISORS FAILED DROPPING DOWN INTERFERING FRONT VISIBILITY. ONE WAS REPLACED AT DEALER UNDER WARRANTY BUT REFUSED TO PAY FOR THE OTHER ONE REPAIR.
