Multifunction box is in the steering column that controls your lights, signals, I put my turn signal on right or left at night and my lights go out,but they come back on.also I have zero warning lights on my dashboard for when something happens it let's you know, well I have none. Hyundai of California says it's not unsafe.it should be a recall because it's a thousand dollars for update..
Seat Belts will not recoil. This is a very unsafe situation.
Intake Camshaft, Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit and Brake Booster are the system that failed all in the same week. My safety is being put at risk because of the bad brake booster I almost rear end someone else. My car doesn’t accelerate has it should initially which could cause a wreck. Problems has been confirmed by independent service center. My car has been inspected by mechanics. My engine light is on and when diagnosed the codes P0011-00 & P0010-00 pop up.
The contact owns a 2015 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated while operating the vehicle, the front passenger’s side seat air bag warning light illuminated and remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, and it was determined that the front passenger’s seat air bag sensor was faulty. The contact was informed that the front passenger’s seat sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
The air bag warning light illumination. Dealer replaced the "clock spring" in steering wheel. This part was recalled for all like vehicles through 2014 and warranty as extended to 100,000 miles or 14 years. Model year 2015 was not included in the recall, yet the same part failed thereby making the driver's front air bag inoperable. It should have been included in the recall. I requested reimbursement from the manufacturer in the amount of $638.50 but was told the vehicle was no longer under warranty. No vehicle should br driven without properly working air bags.

The front seat belts are not functioning; they do not retract, nor do they lock when quickly pushed. They both do lock into the buckle, but that's it. I checked the recall status for such a problem and found that many years and models of Hyundai Sonata's seatbelts were recalled for exactly this same reason; however, this particular year of Sonata was not, even though it is the same issue. In late February/early March, I contacted our local dealer in Reno, to no avail, and then contacted the national customer support for Hyundai. This was forwarded up the ladder and received a case number: [XXX]. We were asked to take it to our local dealer for a diagnostic review, which was completed on March 22. The result, showing the exact same malfunction, was then sent to the Hyundai case worker. Numerous phone calls and emails to her have gone unanswered since then. Meanwhile, we are stuck with an unsafe vehicle, which has the same seatbelt safety issue that resulted in a recall of over one million Hyundai vehicles. Hyundai states the seatbelts are past the warranty period. Seven years is how long they think seatbelts should last? I own a 2015 Hyundai Sonata and have an issue with dash pad, the passenger side air bag has split at the airbag seam and has traveled to the drivers side. If the passenger airbag deploys, I could see some severe injury to the passenger side occupant when the airbag deploys after the cover detaches from the rest of the dash pad. The lifespan of any safety system component is 15yrs according to NHTSA
The driver's seatbelt does not retract. The engine is burning oil.
Front Driver Side Seat Belt does not retract to original position when seat belt unlatched. Also seat belt does not lock into restraint position when brakes are applied and remains loose even when brakes applied heavily during emergency/urgent braking. Dealer said it is not a safety issue, it is a wear issue and owner would have to pay for full replacement.

The biggest problem is that the oil is going into the spark plugs this started happening approx 1 year ago and I have been complaining about this to Hyundai to the B.B.B. and the Attny Generals office I am told to take it too hyundai dealership whenI mentioned they will charge me to tell me what I have already been told I was told by Hyundai they can not control there own dealership??? Keep in mind I still owe on this vehicle and have not owned it for even 5 years...The paint is coming off all over the vehicle and the seat belts do not retract as they are suppose too! This is not the first Hyundai Sonata I have owned but it still has existing problems and family and friends have the same problems,Please help to get this fixed!!Thank you Vehicle was purchased in Danvers, MA
Drivers side seat belt does not retract properly. If i pull it out a little too far when buckling then it will just hang there instead of retracting snugly so it provides the same amount of safety as having no seat belt on at all. Every time that I took my car to the dealer for different fixes I always brought that up and they always overlooked it and never did fix it and now my extended warranty is out and it's still not fixed even though it was like that the day that I bought it and I started complaining about it that very first week.

TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE AND MENTIONED WHEN MY WIFE DRIVES THE CAR THE AIR BAG LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY COMES ON WHILE SHE IS DRIVING STRAIGHT DOWN THE HIGHWAY. IT WILL JUST COME ON, AND GO OFF. NO RHYME OR REASON TO IT. THE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL NOT COME ON IN THIS FASHION WHILE I AM DRIVING THE VEHICLE. TECHNICIANS LOOKED AT THE VEHICLE AND CHECKED THE CLOCK-SPRING, AND THEN SAID AIR BAG ECM AND SENSOR (SRSCM) MODULES NEED TO BE REPLACED. THIS VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN SUBJECT TO ANY JUMP STARTING, HAS THE ORIGINAL BATTERY, AND NOT INVOLVED IN ANY FRONTAL CRASHES. CAR HAS BEEN WELL-MAINTAINED. BELIEVE THERE IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT IN THESE PARTS.
