I called Wayne Mazda on 9/7/22 to make an appointment to fix this brake recall and to have my car serviced. I was given an appointment for January 17, 2023, which is 4 months later. I called several times to try and get a current appointment and was denied each time, so I contacted Hyundai and filed a complaint. My case number is 20485596. Also my dashboard light showing low tire pressure stays on, even though AAA came and filled the tires. We are seniors and my husband is in a wheelchair, and I feel 4 months is an unreasonable length of time to wait for a brake (potential fire) recall and service. Any help you can provide with this complaint would be appreciated.
TIRES WITH PLENTY OF TREAD BLEW OUT ON HIGHWAY WITH DELAMINATION. SECOND TIRE WITH WORN BULGES INDICATION UNDERLYING DELAMINATION AS WELL. DOT 277A YA19 0715, SOLUS KL21 KUMH0 225/60R , 0244416 021343
ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT KUMHO TIRE R REAR EXPLODED ON THE HIGHWAY, DESTROYING THE WHEEL WELL, BUMPER, AND SIDE PANELS, AND ALMOST CAUSE MAJOR ACCIDENT. AFTER HAVING TO GET THE STATE PATROL TO STOP TRAFFIC ON ALL THREE LANES WE DROVE CAR ON THE RIM TO THE OPPOSITE OF THE HIGHWAY WHERE THERE WAS A MEDIAN STRIP. WHEN WE WENT TO REPLACE THIS TIRE, WITH GOOD TREAD AFTER SOME 56,000 MILES WE LEARNED THAT ANOTHER TIRE, THE L FRONT, ALSO HAD DELAMINATED AND SEPARATED, AND THAT THERE WERE TWO LARGE BALD SPOTS WHERE THE TIRE WAS FAILING ALSO. HAD THIS FRONT TIRE EXPLODED THIS WOULD ALMOST CERTAINLY HAVE CAUSED A ROLLOVER AND PROBABLY KILLED OR SEVERELY INJURED MY DAUGHTER, THE DRIVER. I STILL HAVE THESE TIRES, WITH A FAILURE RATE OF AT LEAST 50%. KUMHO HAS DONE NOTHING TO RECALL THESE DANGEROUS TIRES, NOR HAS HYUNDAI. *JS
