Recall was issued in June, 2025. As of today, a remedy has not been available. This is unacceptable as driving the vehicle can result in injury.
Engine made a pop sound while getting onto the freeway. It started to slow down and then I had to pull over and stop. Took to the mechanic and he explained there was metal shavings in engine. I needed to replace the whole engine.
The contact owns a 2019 Infiniti QX50. While the contact's son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine seized with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact stated there was smoke and fire coming from the engine compartment. In addition, the smell of burning oil and smoke was inside the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with engine failure. The contact was informed that the independent mechanic was not an engine expert and recommended that the vehicle be towed to an engine expert. The vehicle was towed to an alternate independent mechanic, where the vehicle was diagnosed with total engine failure. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The engine was replaced with a used engine. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was not available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact submitted a claim for reimbursement for the repair. The contact was required to submit several documents, including a printout of the repair. The contact was informed that the report needed to include the engine failure code and engine report for the request for reimbursement. The independent mechanic was contacted by the manufacturer and the manufacturer received verbal confirmation of the repair; however, the manufacturer insisted on printed documentation of the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 98,500.
Car wouldn't start and been in the dealership for 2 weeks now where purchased due to purchasing a extended warrantee they need to look at it first. after several tech asses the problem they say the timing chain jumped a tooth and engine is shot. car has 66000 miles on it. I purchased with 48K so naturally i bought a extended powertrain warrantee that they say wont cover the cost of replacement due to not having the oil changed every 5K miles. I get it done about 8 or 9K due to using synthetic oils that say they are guaranteed for 15-20K miles. No lights or indication engine issues prior to my wife just trying to start the car one morning.
The engine died on me after having the car for less than 2 years. Driving on the highway car just stalled. Had car towed to the mechanic and they said the engine failed. There are plenty of consumer complaints about this model having engine failure while the vehicle is still new and properly maintained.
The contact owns a 2019 Infiniti QX50. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the vehicle made an abnormal rattling sound at startup and while idling. The local dealer and Nalley INFINITI Marietta (2020 Cobb Pkwy SE, Marietta, GA 30060) were contacted and confirmed that the part for the recall repair was not yet available. The contact was advised to take the vehicle for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 158,848.
2019 Infiniti QX50 was purchased new 9/3/2018 Engine safety problems started 9/3/22 and it was fixed in a two days. Total engine failure diagnosed by Infiniti Cerritos on March 31, 2025. The car was at 103,900 miles at this time. At this time the warranty coverage was for 72,000 miles and not extended to 120,000 miles yet. I paid for the replacement of the engine on 9/5/2025. I later got a recall notice and it said that the warranty engine coverage had been extended to 120,000 miles and that I would get reimbursed for repairs. I never got reimbursed after I submitted a reimbursement claim form through Infiniti assist. I keep getting the run around at Infiniti Consumer Affairs. I submitted a Lemon Law claim and the arbitrator is showing a lot of bias and I keep getting the run around as well. No arbitration meeting has been scheduled. I now got a 2nd recall notice on January 29,2026 stating that the engine oil pan needs to be checked for metal debris and it’s possible that engine will need to be replaced if metal found. I scheduled an appointment on February 10th, 2026. At this appointment I also notified them that I still hear a noise in the engine. Infiniti Cerritos refused to do the recall. They also want to charge for inspection diagnosis of the engine noise when it should be covered under the warranty and recall notice. It says free of charge on recall notice. This car is obviously a lemon because if the engine gets replaced it’s bound and will continue to have the same type of safety issues.
Engine lost power in normal course of driving. Loud engine noise. Burning oil smell. Mechanic assessed an internal engine component like a broken rod is the cause. Whole engine needs to br replaced at 103k miles.
The contact owns a 2019 Infiniti QX50. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, there was an abnormal whining sound coming from the engine compartment. The vehicle hesitated and shuddered while attempting to accelerate. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the whining sound was caused by a faulty VTC actuator, and the actuator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact later received a recall letter for NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. After examining the vehicle, the contact was informed that no metal shavings were found in the oil pan and no repairs were performed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 95,000.
On February 28, 2025, while driving home form work in my 2019 Infiniti QX50, on a 4 lane highway, I slowed to turn across 2 lanes of oncoming traffic to a side county road. I made it across the highway and the vehicle immediately lost all power. I coasted to a stop on the side of the road. I tried to restart the car and it would not start. I called for a tow and had it taken to the nearest repair shop. The vehicle was inspected and I was informed the engine was blown and would need to be replaced. Prior to this happening, there were no sounds, indicators or warnings of any possible issues. I have owned the vehicle since February 2020. It has always been maintained on schedule (records available). In fact, the vehicle was thoroughly inspected by Infiniti in October of 2024, when I had to have the rear lift gate motor replaced. I was told everything looked good, timing belt had no wear, there were no leaks or concerns. The only recommended services at that time were to change the brake fluid and antifreeze. The vehicle is available for any and all requested inspection.
Engine destroyed itself upon acceleration on highway. Variable Compression system malfunctioned, metal shavings found in oil, and engine no longer starts. Check engine light flashed after acceleration, and then engine lost all power. Car coasted to a stop as the engine couldn't make power.
My Infiniti started making a slight ticking noise. The next day, the car abruptly stalled out while going down the highway causing the vehicle to loose speed and experience engine failure. Luckily, I was able to steer the vehicle to a more manageable location out of traffic. I had lost engine power and steering. After a certified mechanics diagnosis, the engine was declared blown. The bearings and rods have failed and the engine is no longer in repairable condition. The vehicle was serviced per manufacture regularly and there had been no signs of engine failure to that date.
The contact owns a 2019 Infiniti QX50. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that there was an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle. In addition, the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with a failed pressure solenoid or pressure sensor. In addition, the contact was informed that the failure was due to engine failure. The dealer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that parts were not yet available. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the parts for the recall repair were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 103,000.
On January 1, 2025 at about 10:30pm, while driving at about 40 miles per hour the engine made some knocking noises and then suddenly lost power, forcing the car to be pulled over to the side of a dangerous road. When I opened the hood of the car there was a small amount of smoke. There was no advanced warning that there was a problem with the engine, it just stopped running causing a dangerous situation. I had the car towed to Infiniti of Massapequa and was told the next day that the car needed a new engine. I was told by the dealer that there was metal in the oil and it appears the main bearing broke. The car is only about 6 years old with approximately 26,200 miles and has been extremely well maintained with the dealer, including scheduled oil changes with full synthetic oil. I am trying to get Infiniti to cover the full engine replacement cost since the warranty expired about two months ago. However, they still want to charge me $7,560 plus tax. The Infiniti service report is still pending the repair.
Driver’s seat will not move forward. Driver cannot reach the pedals. This has been an ongoing/intermitten problem. While the car was under warranty, Infiniti of Ft Myers, FL attempted to fix the problem and eventually replaced the components. The problem was fixed until last spring. When I reported the problem to Nissan last spring, they told me there was nothing they could do. I explained it was a safety issue. They didn’t care. The following day, the seat moved forward on its own so I didn’t pursue it. Yesterday, it happened again and today it did not reset itself. I cannot safely drive my car. In researching this issue, I’ve read that others have had the same issue and Nissan refuses to acknowledge or take responsibility for the problem. What if I were away from home and this happened? How would I safely drive my car? This happened a few years ago and I had to get to a cancer radiation appointment. I drove with a pillow and used cruise control as much as possible. It was a seriously dangerous driving experience, but I had no choice. I would appreciate any assistance your agency can provide.
I was taking a box out of my trear trunk liftgate . I turned around and secluded my hand on th dreary tail light that is close to the side of the liftgate I required 7 stitches
In November 2024, my 2019 Infiniti QX50 experienced a sudden and severe mechanical failure while driving. The vehicle unexpectedly lurched forward and then came to a complete stop in traffic. At that point, I was unable to shift the car into neutral or any other gear, which resulted in obstructing traffic. The vehicle was towed to a local mechanic, who diagnosed a total engine failure and quoted repair costs between $15,000 and $20,000 related to a VRC component. Recently, I became aware of a recall concerning similar engine issues affecting certain Infiniti QX50 models. However, my vehicle’s VIN is not listed among those affected by the recall. Given the severity of the failure and the potential safety risks, I would like to formally file a complaint regarding the 2019 Infiniti QX50 to ensure this issue receives proper attention. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Turbo, Rear-Coupler, Engine, Actuator Car was squealing and I was told that the serpentine belt needed to be replaced. Replaced this. Car still squealing and took it back. They replaced the belt, again.. Still squealing, now I am told its the tensioner that needs to be replaced but only Infiniti can do this (belt done at Firestone). At Infiniti - they look at the car and the tensioner is fine. But my turbo is blown. How? So, they replace the turbo and then say the rear coupler needs to be replaced. Repairs done and Infiniti said all fluids are good, everything is great. However, I might see slight smoke and a burning smell for 100-150 miles as theres a thin layer of oil on the turbo that will burn off. Oil change isnt due for 5k miles and I checked before my short road trip - all is good. Past the 100-150 miles and the car is SMOKING and SMELLS OF BURNING... Call infiniti, this is normal it will go away. Check fluids again, as no lights on the dashboard and oil is fine. Come back to get my car, check the ground as I always do and no oil/fluid and proceed home. 10 mins from my house the car WREAKS of burning smell, will not accelerate, no dashboard lights. So, I sit there and let it cool down - check again everything looks good. Try again, car will not go. Fluids look fine - oil, no spikes in temp, and no lights. Next day, no fluids under the car. Car accelerates but lunges me then stops going. Car smells bad, smoke.. go to check the fluids and NO OIL in the car out of no where. Infiniti tows it and it sounded like it was going to blow up. Also, a tink tink tink sound started out of no where. This is dangerous as the vehicle could had started on fire. I still dont know what is going on as Inf. has the car right now. This is a major safety hazard as I found a LOT of reports on this happening to others with this specific model and year. I had NO issues like this until Inf replaced the turbo.. NONE!
The engine stopped working. Allowing me to go no faster than 15 miles an hour. The safety issue is you can no longer drive at the speed that you need to drive. especially if you’re on the highway. The problem has been addressed by a dealer. I needed a whole new engine $13,000. The car at 97,000 miles on it. Was well taken care of. No warning signs prior also did not come up on my display Apparently, there are many other 2019 Infiniti QX 50’s that have this issue
The contact owns a 2019 Infiniti QX50. The contact stated that there was a strong fuel odor coming from the vehicle after refueling. Additionally, the contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to respond as intended, while the RPM became elevated. The contact stated that the vehicle was difficult to start and required to be jump-started. The Malfunction warning light and the check engine warning light were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was advised to pay a fee for a diagnostic test because the recall part was not yet available. The contact declined to pay the fee. The contact stated that the failure had progressively worsened, and the vehicle failed to start while attempting to jumpstart the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
All vehicle doors and sometimes lift gate fail to open either by key fob or by indoor automatic door locks. Have to use Valet key to open driver door (alarm does not sound), then enter vehicle and manually unlock or lock desired door. Safety issue because kids can automatically exit or any individual can enter the vehicle unannounced while stopped. Neighbor has exact same vehicle year and model and is experiencing the same issues.
While driving I heard a roaring noise from my engine and my car’s A/C stopped cooling. I have no warning messages from car regarding the engine. The noise only stops once the car is fully powered off. I recorded a video of the noise and alert panel that shows no warnings/issues. Will be contacting my local service department.
About five months ago, while driving on the highway, the care would say it's in Drive, but sounded like it couldn't get out of 1st gear and I'd get high RPMs. Thankfully there was stop-and-go traffic and I didn't have to exit pull off the highway or hit high speeds. I exited at the next exit and, as soon as the car stopped, it wasn't possible to get it into gear. Eventually the car started and I was able to get into gear and drive it using Manual drive mode. Once at the dealership we were told it was a bad VCR and they needed to replace that to get it going. That was around 38,000 miles. This most recent incident, I had just gotten onto the highway when I started to hear a low whiney noise when pressing the accelerator. I only had a few miles till my exit and decided to continue, thinking it might just be debris or something. After exiting, I literally rolled into the gas station because the car, despite being in Drive, was not in gear. The car stalled and I couldn't get it started, or I could get it started, but it refused to go to Neutral to allow me to push it out of the way. Eventually, the car started and I was able to put it into Drive. Thinking it was the same issue, I planned to drive it the 2 miles home. I made it to the first traffic light and the car turned off, leaving the me stranded in the middle lane of the road. I called the police and tow trucks to come help me get the car moved (no one knows how to put the car into an emergency Neutral position including the 2 officers, 4 tow truck drivers and an Infiniti mechanic that was driving by). Eventually the tow truck came and I was able to drop it off at the dealership, who have told me there is "a chunk of bearing material in pan with copper particulates." I'm currently around 40,000 miles.
Engine acceleartion issue. Rpm goes high but car struggle to speed up.. At first it happened when car was at stop light, struggle to move forward.. took to Grubbs infiniti.. At first, dealer could not replicate the issue, but luckily I had taken the video of the issue I had. Than the dealer was finally able to experience the issue themselves and replaced the transmission thinking that was the issue. I took the car after repair and within 3-4 days I had the same issue. This time I was driving in a freeway at 60 mph. When I hit the gas pedal to accelerate faster, the engine RPM went high but instead of speeding up, car felt like slowing down. So i exited the freeway to service road. Once the speed went down to 20mph, it didn't go any higher than that. This time there was a check engine light on I took it back to the dealership .They again could not replicate the issue and just did the ECM software update. I took the car home but after driving less than 20 miles, the car had the same issue. I again took it back to delearship. This time they are replacing something called VCR..Still waiting now
The contact owns a 2019 Infiniti QX50. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the vehicle sputtered while the accelerator pedal was depressed before accelerating as needed. The vehicle also failed to start immediately after the initial start-up due to a loss of battery power. The vehicle would be jump-started. The failure occurred intermittently but had become more consistent. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that a year before the failure, the engine was making abnormally loud sounds and the vehicle failed to accelerate, with the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was diagnosed and determined that there was hot oil leaking from the VCR (Variable Compression Ratio)assembly, and the assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that the part was not yet available. The manufacturer opened a case for the issue. The failure mileage was 38,366.
I was driving my vehicle and I stopped at a stop sign. When it was clear I proceeded onto the highway. I took a left at the first exit and could hear a weird knocking noise. I could also feel the car was not accelerating properly. The vehicle was not driving right. I called a tow and took it to a repair shop. The owner of the car shop said that a rod had been blown and I need a new engine. I am 7000 out of my drive train warranty.
I was driving down an empty road, no one in front of me, beside me, or behind me and the automatic braking system applied itself and slammed on brakes abruptly and beeped twice, without any prior warning or obstruction, causing the car to jolt into braking. I have contacted the dealership regarding this and they are looking at the precollision and emergency braking system next week. There were no prior warnings this braking was occurring. The car has had multiple issues since purchasing including headlight blinking and replacement within the first month of ownership, automatic sunroof needing a replacement because it was installed in the factory wrong, and the door lock actuator not locking/ or unlocking upon clicking lock/unlock. The car has been in and out of the Infiniti dealership in the 4 months since purchase. The car was purchased September 2023, and it is now January 25th, 2024.
There is a continuous issues with my battery dying. There are multiple malfunction lights showing, particularly the rear collision light. The check engine light is also showing, and I have had an oil change recently. The car breaks on its own. While backing into a space, the steering wheel would not completely turn right until I straightened up the car. Finally. I have had my driver's side car seat repaired three times by the dealership. It works sometimes and not others. Any suggestions on any or all of this would be helpful. Thank you.
I was driving on the highway and the engine started to make a humming sound I would say. Within the next 3 to 4 miles I started losing forward power, and the noise started to get louder. I was afraid my car was going to die on the highway so I stayed in the far right lane so I could coast into the shoulder if I had to. Thankfully, there was an exit and I was able to get off and pull off onto a street at which point it was a louder knocking sound coming from the engine. I drove another block and the check engine light came on and I was getting less power as I pushed the gas pedal. At that point I parked the car and had it towed for repair. This all happened on October 9, 2023. Later that week, I was told by the dealership that I needed a complete new engine that I had thrown a rod in the engine. The car was only four years old and had 75,000 miles on it. Infiniti did help pay part of the bill, but I still had to pay a good portion of the repair and oddly enough the morning after I drove it home, the car would not start. The car was towed back to the dealership. I needed a new starter. That too has since been repaired. I decided to report this after seeing an article this morning regarding an investigation into Nissan for engine failure problems in my model of car.
The Drive Unit Power Back Door. Part Number: 90560-5NA0B has failed and causes a severe risk of injury when trying to access the cargo area. The lift gate rises up and abruptly descends causing a hazardous situation to the consumer. This is a premature failure for a 4 year old car and has a very high cost to repair. The lift gate is very heavy and could cause severe injury if a person is struck by it while it is rapidly moving in a downward direction. It will not stay up and the “safety” feature is not functional.
The driver side seat has felt loose and not secured for some time and rocking while driving. I am just learning that multiple Infiniti/Nissan models have had similar problem where seat mounts at rail/frame are coming loose and creating a potential safety issue. Previous attempts to have a retailer resolve were unsuccessful as they tried to charge me several thousand dollars for it. I plan to try again at different retailer when I take it in for NHTSA Recall 25V-437.
My engine blow at 50,000 miles and now my VCR actuator has gone bad as well
My vehicle has only 36000 miles and I drive on paved roads in suburban settings. I have noted rattling noises in the front of my vehicle on 4/12/2023 and took my vehicle to the local Infinity dealer. My vehicle turned out to have failed shocks and loose shock/strut mounts requiring complete replacement of the parts
On 3 different occasions while traveling over 50 mph on the highway, with no other cars around, my Qx50 automatic emergency braking initiated and stopped my car. This is a serious safety issue and I am very lucky I was not rear-ended.
Bought the car from Infiniti and drove it a month, got my first oil change and that sam day my engine lock up first I heard the lifters and then the car shut down as I was trying to pull over ,I was 2,000 miles over my warranty
The contact owns a 2019 Infiniti QX50. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact heard an abnormal cracking sound. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not inspected. The contact was informed that the parts were not available. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part for the recall repair was unavailable. The contact became aware of the cracking sound when the vehicle was purchased; however, the contact thought that the cracking sound was normal for the turbo engine. The contact stated that it was not until receiving the recall notification that the cracking sound was identified as possible engine failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
The automatic braking system on my car seems to malfunction when going across the Louisiana/Mississippi bridge. As I was driving the car began to brake but it didn’t come to a complete stop. This put my safety at risk because there were cars behind me and if I would have come to a complete stop on the bridge it would have been a terrible accident. there was a warning issued on my dash while the car was beginning to brake on the bridge.
I was driving around 30 mph crossing an intersection when the Emergency Braking system activated and caused the truck to stop. There was nothing obstructing the vehicle, nor were any pedestrians near. This is the 3rd occurence when this happened.
On three separate occasions, the collision avoidance system activated without anything blocking it. One incident I was driving at least 35 mph thru and intersection and the car suddenly halted to a complete stop jerking myself and my 6 year old forward. The vehicle behind me had to swerve to avoid rear ending me.
See attached document for complaint
Multiple instances of forward emergency braking system engaging on an empty road or when no vehicle is in close proximity. Dealer service department states insects on radar system may be to blame, and were unable to reproduce the issue. Warning light and brakes engage, depressing the brake pedal and returning to accelerator cancel the warning however sudden braking at highway speeds presents an unsafe condition to drivers following behind who may not anticipate sudden braking in free-flowing traffic.
Forward Collision Avoidance system automatically applies brakes during normal driving situtations. This will increase the safety risk for passangers including small children, animals, the driver and other drivers and their passangers. The warning lights came on the same time the FCA applied brakes. Numerious complaints already registered suggest approved recall and repairs are required. The QX50 is overloaded with Sensory Packages, advanced technology and is being serviced by undertrained technicians as stated in previous complaints of insufficiant maintenance repairs fixing the safety issue. If we had been in an airplane instead of a car we wouldn't be here to file this notice!
Was driving down the street going 55mph, not one car in front of me. The automatic breaking turns on and the car hit the brakes by itself. There was a car behind me during the first incident and it almost caused an accident. The driver thought I was brake-checking him and it caused him to have a fit of road rage. This particular incident has happened a total of 6 times. I took the car to Infiniti after the 2nd occurrence and they told me they couldn't find any issues with the vehicle.
After multiple related incidents, I am compelled to make a report. My car just displayed red and white flashing indicators on the dash and automatically screeched to a halt, completely out of my control, in the middle of a busy intersection. Because the road was damp from rain, my car actually skidded. I was not going to hit anything, there was no car or object in front of me. I was driving at about 30 MPH. This has happened repeatedly in parking garages and other low-light scenarios. I have brought the car to the dealer and gotten no answers. At this point I am terrified to drive the car.
The driver seat electric motor has failed on three separate occasions. 7/29/21, mileage 22,984 9/3/21, Mileage 24156 7/12/22, Mileage 34,414 When the electric motor fails the seat can not move forward or back. Depending on the seat position at failure, certain individuals would not be able to reach the pedals to safely drive the vehicle. This could create a serious safety issue requiring some one to drive without reasonable control. Each time the motor failed it was replaced by the dealer. No warning lamps or indication of failure happened prior to the three times of this severe safety failure. As of 6/18/23 the seat has been working properly. I was in contact with a case worker at Infiniti numerous times ( between 7/11/22 and 8/11/22) and she did not think this was a serious problem, as if I was the only person reporting this issue. This was very troubling to me because it seemed to be a very serious safety issue. The last time I was at the dealer for service work (earlier this year) they revealed to me that this same issue has happened in other vehicles besides mine.
The contact owns a 2019 Infiniti QX50. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle and attempting to adjust the seat, the seat failed to move backward or forward. The contact stated that the seat remained seized in one position after turning the vehicle on and off. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer who diagnosed that the driver's seat chair rail needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the seat failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN A FOUR LANE HIGHWAY AT 50 MPH. THE CAR SUDDENLY APPLIES EMERGENCY BRAKING WHEN NOTHING WAS IN FRONT OF THE CAR. IF ANOTHER CAR IS BEHIND THIS VEHICLE AND THIS HAPPENS, THERE WILL BE A MAJOR ACCIDENT. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON 3 OCCASIONS TOTAL.
