BRAKE PEDDLE RANDOMLY GOES TO FLOOR AND ENGAGES SEATBELT VIOLENTLY WHEN STOPPING.

MY VEHICLE SHATTERED AND VIOLENT SHAKING UPON ACCELARATION. THERES A CVT RECALL FOR THE SAME MODELS, AND WHEN I BRING MY CAR TO THE DEALER THEY TOLD ME THEY CAN'T REPLACE IT FOR FREE BECAUSE MY CAR IS SALVAGE. NOW I CAN'T DRIVE BECAUSE AM NOT FEELING SAFE AND I DONT WANT TO ENDANGER MY SELF AND THE OTHER DRIVERS.
WHEN I ACCELERATE THE TRANSMISSION SHUTTERS. THE TRANSMISSION JUMPING IN AND OUT OF GEAR . WHEN I GIVE IT GAS THE CAR STARTS JERKING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 INFINITI QX60. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE REMAINED ON THE SHOULDER OF THE ROADWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS SCHEDULED TO BE TOWED TO A DEALER WHICH WAS STILL PENDING. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000.
WHILE DRIVING MY CAR LOSSES NORMAL SPEED AND STOPS RESPONDING TO ME TRYING TO ACCELERATE EVEN AFTER I HIT THE PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, CAR KEEPS SLOWLY MOVING BUT DOESN'T PICK UP THE SPEED. SOMETIMES ITS JERKING ON ITS OWN AND DO NOT RESPOND TO MY PRESSURE ON THE GAS PEDAL. SEESM TO BE REALATED TO SIMILAR ISSUE THAT THEY HAVE WITH Q50 CARS "ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) MAY TEMPORARILY LOSE A SIGNAL FROM ONE OF THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM'S THROTTLE POSITION SENSORS (TPS). IF THIS OCCURS, LOSS OF POWER FOLLOWED BY SUDDEN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION CAN OCCUR. DUE TO A SOFTWARE MALFUNCTION, THE ENGINE MAY SUDDENLY LOSE THEN REGAIN POWER, CAUSING UNINTENDED ACCELERATION.
VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION(HIGHWAY) WILL JUDDERING, REFUSE TO CHANGE GEAR PROPERLY AND SHAKE OR JERK LIKE I HAVE NEVER SEEN.I WAS ABOUT TO BE HITTED FROM THE BACK AND AFRAID OF THIS CAR.WHEN TO THE DEALER, AND THEY DO LIKE THEY ARE NOT AWARE OF THIS ISSUE OF THE POWERTRAIN.THIS BRAND OR VEHICLE IS A SERIOUS ISSUE THAT NEED THE AUTHORITY VOICE TO FIX BEFORE IT KILL SOMEONE.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE TO WORK I STARTED EXPERIENCING A CLUNKING SOUND FROM UNDER THE VEHICLE LIKE I HAD SOMETHING STUCK UNDER IT. THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN OFF ROAD OR NEGLECTED. IT SEEMS LIKE A VERY POOR DESIGN ASPECT THAT SHOWS EARLY IN OWNERSHIP, SHAME ON INFINITI FOR POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP IN A MOST VITAL PART!!!!!!
HEARD A LOUD NOISE WHEN MAKING A TURN AND STEERING WHEEL STARTED SHAKING. CAR BECAME NOT DRIVABLE SO HAD IT TOWED TO DEALER. THEY SAID WHEEL WAS ABOUT TO BREAK OFF FROM THE ENTIRE ASSEMBLY. I DIDN'T HIT ANYTHING AND WAS VERY SCARY.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The rear AWD electronic coupler is failing. It is available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? If it completely fails, the car can become inoperable while driving at any time. I was also told by the dealer that the differential could damage the transmission over time. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, the dealer had diagnosed this issue. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning or messages. There is grinding when turning at low speeds and when driving sometimes there is a "bump" at around 40 mph. This was first diagnosed by the dealer in 2020 and again in 2022. There was a recall of the rear electronic coupler for the same year, make and model but, Infiniti says that it did not apply to my VIN. The TSB is 12-072C. My research of this issue shows that this issue common for my make, model and year. Clearly, this issue affects many more VINs than, originally recalled. The recall for this issue should be expanded to include my vehicle and extended so that this very expensive repair can be made without cost to me. I purchased this car because, I wanted a safe and reliable car to transport my small children. These critical issues jeopardize the health and safety of my family every day. My car is no longer safe or reliable. Additional, in 2020, at the time that the electronic coupler failure was diagnosed, something related to the CVT was replaced because of a recall. This year, I had to have the the transmission replaced. I now wonder if that could have been related to the CVT issue. My catalytic converters also had to be replaced this year.
THE SUNROOF IS LEAKING DURING HEAVY RAINS & HAS CAUSED ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH MY CAR. MY KEY FOB IS MALFUNCTIONING, THE WATER IS LEAKING THROUGH THE DOME LIGHTS & MY RADIO KEEPS CHANGING CHANNELS.
WHEN STARTING FROM A STANDSTILL, THE CAR JERKS AND HESITATES TO MOVE. SEVERAL TIMES I HAVE BEEN TAKING A LEFT AND AS I PUSH THE GAS, THE CAR JUST DOES NOTHING AND I'M AFRAID I'LL BE SITTING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TWO LANE HIGHWAY UNABLE TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC. AS OTHERS HAVE NOTED, THE TRANSMISSION JERKS AND IT LOOKS AS IF I'M FAILING MISERABLY AT DRIVING STICK SHIFT, BUT THE CAR IS MANUAL. WE THOUGHT FOR A LONG TIME THAT THE JERKING WAS DUE TO THE TRANSITION FROM ELECTRIC TO GAS, BUT AS THE JERKING GOT WORSE WE REALIZED IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION. I NOW CANNOT GET RID OF THIS CAR WITHOUT PAYING $10K ON THE LOAN BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. IT WOULD PROBABLY COST ME THE SAME TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED, BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE OTHERS HAVE PAID TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION REPAIRED OR REPLACED, BUT THE SAME PROBLEMS PERSIST. I JUST WANT TO BE RID OF THIS CAR AND I WILL NEVER BUY A HYBRID OR AN INFINITI AGAIN. *TR

VEHICLE JERKS WHILE ACCELERATING AND TURNING
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 INFINITI QX60. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MOVE FROM A STOP, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE STARTED TO JERK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AT 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE CEASED TO JERK AND OPERATED AS DESIGNED. THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR AND FRONT AXLE WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, THE REPAIR FAILED TO FIX THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 165,000.

THE CONTACT PULLED OFF OF THE ROADWAY, TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PERRY INFINITI OF ESCONDIDO 855 LA TERRAZA BLVD, ESCONDIDO, CA 92025 WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED AND DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED AN ESTIMATE OF $11,191 FOR THE REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 136,000.

TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED BY DEALERSHIP FREE OF CHARGE LATE LAST YEAR, NOW TRANSMISSION IS SHUDDERING WHILE DRIVING AND CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE OVER 25-35 MPH.
RIGHT FRONT SEAT BELT BUCKLE FAILED DURING NORMAL USE. 43209 MILES ON THE CAR AT TIME OF FAILURE. IF IT FAILS IN NORMAL USE WHAT HAPPENS IN THE DYNAMICS OF A CRASH? FAILURE DISCOVERED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY.

THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED A REPAIR ESTIMATE OF $7,000. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
2014 QX 60 INFINITY, PRESENTED PROBLEMS WITH BADLY JERKING, UGLY SCRAPPING NOISE, NOW TRANSMISIN LEAKS , BURNING SMELL WHILE DRIVING
CAR WILL NOT START UNLESS YOU START IT WITH JUMPER CABLES
MY 2014 INFINITI QX60 WITH 47000 MILES IS HAVING TRANSMISSION ISSUES. WHILE ON A FAMILY REUNION IN THE HILLS OF SOUTHERN OHIO, I HAD TWO SEPARATE, REALLY HARD DOWNSHIFTS AFTER CRESTING A HILL AT ABOUT 40-45 MPH. SINCE THEN I HAVE EXPERIENCED 2 OR 3 INSTANCES OF SHUTTERING WHEN ACCELERATING FROM RED LIGHTS.
ENGINE RUNS WITH LOUD RUNNING AND RPM ABOVER 1000 AS SUIU DRIVE AND IDLE. RIMS COLOR IS PEELING
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN SUDDENLY MY SUNROOF SHATTERED. IT SOUNDED AS IF SOMEONE HIT MY GLASS WITH A BAT. IT WAS LATE AT NIGHT AND THERE WERE NO TRUCKS OR OTHER CARS AROUND ME. THERE ARE NO OTHER SCRATCHES OR DENTS ON THE ROOF OF MY CAR AND NO ROCKS WERE FOUND IN THE SHADE WITH THE GLASS. THANKFUL THAT I HAD THE SHADE CLOSED BECAUSE OTHER WISE I WOULD'VE BEEN COVERED IN GLASS AND POSSIBLY CUT. THIS HAS TO BE A RECALL, A SAFETY RECALL AT THAT.
RUBBER GROMMET THAT HOLDS THE GAS FILLER NECK IN PLACE DAMAGED. FILLER NECK BENT. REPLACING COST PER THE DEALER IS $1516.70, NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. NO DAMAGE SEEN ON THE VEHICLE. INFINITI TO LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE FURTHER. THIS MIGHT BE A SAFETY CONCERN, AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED. INFINITI TO CHECK THE ROOT CAUSE FOR THIS ISSUE OF DAMAGED GROMMET GAS FILLER NECK.
FRONT TIRES WEARING FELLS LIKE SKIPPING WHEN TURING
ABS BRAKE ACTUATOR- WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STOPPED, THE BRAKE PEDAL WILL CONTINUE TO DEPRESS. WHEN THE BREAK IS RELEASED A CHIRPING SOUND IS MADE. THIS IS A KNOWN SAFETY ISSUE ON THE 2017 MODEL. THE DEALER AND SEVERAL CHAT GROUPS ONLINE ALL POINT TO THIS BEING A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE MODEL. THERE IS A 2017 RECALL FOR THIS PART. THE RECALL SAYS IT IS A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD. I BELIEVES THE RECALL NEEDS TO BE EXPANDED. THE ABS BRAKE ACTUATOR SHOULD NOT FAIL ON A VEHICLE WITH 77,000 MILES. I HAD THE CAR AT THE DEALER FOR THE ISSUE PREVIOUSLY AND THEY "COULD NOT FIND" THE ISSUE. A THIRD TRIP AND THE ISSUE IS FOUND.
THE AIR CONDITION COOLING SYSTEM DOESN'T WORK. AFTER ADDING FREON AND OTHER SERVICES, THE AIR CONDITION CONTINUES TO BLOW HOT AIR. I WAS TOLD IT COULD BE A COMPRESSOR PROBLEM THAT CAUSING IT NOT TO ENGAGE. THIS CAR IS ABOUT 5 YEARS OLD, WHICH IS FAIRLY NEW FOR THIS KIND OF MAJOR PROBLEM.
MY CAR IS A 2014 QX60 HYBRID. INFINITY WAS SUED AND SETTLED ON WITHOUT CAR REPLACEMENT. MY CAR HAS THE SAME SHUDDERING PROBLEM THAT WAS THE BASIS FOR THE LAWSUIT. CVT TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED TWICE UNDER MY 70K WARRANTY. MY CVT TRANSMISSION HAS BEGUN TO SUFFER THE SAME "JUDDERING" PROBLEM WHICH AS AFFECTED SO MANY OF THE QX60 MODELS, BOTH HYBRID AND GAS. I TOOK IT AFTER WARRANTY MANY TIMES TO DEALER AND THEY CAN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM. NOW I HAVE TO PAY FOR EVERY SINGLE MINIMUM STEP EVEN CAR WASH. I HAVE SO MUCH PAPERWORK OF THIS AND MANY OTHERS ISSUES WITH THIS CAR THAT WOULD TAKE FOR EVER TO UPLOAD.
I HAVE TWO CONCERNS THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN GOING ON FOR A FEW YEARS. THE CAR WOULD SHORT OF 'STALL' DURING ACCELERATION (CAR IS STILL ON)NO MATTER WHICH DRIVING MODE (ECO, STANDARD OR SPORT), WHICH IS A MAJOR CONCERN. IT HAD A RECALL ON THE SOFTWARE A FEW YEARS AGO, WHICH APPARENTLY WAS SUPPOSED TO FIX THE ISSUE . HOWEVER, IT HAS NOT AND I HAVE TAKEN IT IN SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE SAME ISSUE BUT THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT FIND ANY PROBLEMS. YET THE SAME YEAR AND MODEL MINUS THE HYBRID IS CURRENTLY RECALLED FOR THE SAME ISSUE. IT'S A CONCERN WHEN MY KIDS ARE IN THE CAR AND IT STALLS WHILE MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN. OTHER ISSUE IS WHEN I HAVE THE DRIVER ASSIST ON AND A CAR NEXT TO ME IN A SEPARATE LANE MAKES EITHER A RIGHT OR LEFT HAND TURN AND MY CAR WOULD IMMEDIATELY BRAKE. THIS IS A CONCERN BECAUSE OF THE HIGH POSSIBILITY OF GETTING REAR ENDED.
INTERMITTENT ISSUES INVOLVING THE BRAKING SYSTEM. MOST DAYS THE ISSUE IS NOT PRESENT. SOME DAYS THE ISSUE OCCURS THE ENTIRE DAY. SOME DAYS THE ISSUE ONLY OCCURS ONCE OUT OF 4-5 TIMES THE VEHICLE IS USED. 1. BRAKE PEDAL SINKS TO FLOOR WHEN AT A STOP. WHEEZING SOUND WHEN RELEASING THE BRAKE PEDAL. 2. WHEN BRAKING SOFTLY, BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELS ABOUT 50% BEFORE THE VEHICLE BEGINS SLOWING. 3. ISSUE PERSISTS THE ENTIRE TIME THE CAR IS IN USE. RESTARTING THE VEHICLE SOMETIMES RESTORES FUNCTIONALITY.
CVT RECALL. MY CAR IS A QX60 HYBRID. INFINITY WAS SUED AND SETTLED ON REPLACEMENTS FOR ONLY THE QX60 GAS MODEL. MY CAR HAS THE SAME SHUDDERING PROBLEM THAT WAS THE BASIS FOR THE LAWSUIT; BUT FOR SOME REASON THE LAWSUIT SETTLEMENT DID NOT INCLUDE THE HYBRID MODELS. MY CVT TRANSMISSION HAS BEGUN TO SUFFER THE SAME "JUDDERING" PROBLEM WHICH AS AFFECTED SO MANY OF THE QX60 MODELS, BOTH HYBRID AND GAS.
I PURCHASED IN FEB 2019. SINCE MARCH MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN/OUT OF THE SHOP AT LEAST 6 TIMES FOR THE FOLLOWING ISSUES: SHUDDERING WHILE DRIVING, HESITATES TO ACCELERATE ESPECIALLY ON INCLINES AND REVERSE (I COULD BE SITTING ON A TINY INCLINE AND WHEN I ATTEMPT TO PRESS THE GAS, THE VEHICLE DOESN'T RESPOND, AND THEN WOULD EVENTUALLY JERK AND DRIVE AFTER IT CATCHES THE GEAR), NOT PROPERLY SHIFTING GEARS WHILE DRIVING (ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THIS DRIVING UP AN ON-RAMP ON THE FREEWAY, THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T ACCELERATE FAST ENOUGH FOR ME TO MERGE), AND MAKES LOUD SOUNDS RANDOMLY. I'VE TAKEN IT TO MY LOCAL INFINITE DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES AND THEY DON'T SEE A PROBLEM WHEN THEY TEST IT. SO I THEN DROVE WITH A TECH AND DUPLICATED THE PROBLEM. BUT THEY CONTINUE TO DENY REPAIRS BECAUSE MY VEHICLE ISN'T REGISTERING ANY CODES WHILE TESTING THE TRANSMISSION, EVEN AFTER THE PROBLEM WAS DUPLICATED. THEY HAVE KEPT MY VEHICLE WEEKS AT A TIME (THEY HAVE IT RIGHT NOW) DOING SOFTWARE UPGRADES AND PATCHING WHATEVER. BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXIST TODAY. I'VE ONLY HAD IT FOR 8 MOS (PURCHASED PRE-OWNED). I EVEN OPENED TWO CASES WITH INFINITI CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THEY EVEN QUIT FOLLOWING UP. I WISH I COULD GET RID OF THIS VEHICLE. IT'S NOT SAFE TO DRIVE WHILE THE MANUFACTURER IS REFUSING TO REPAIR A "WELL KNOWN" ISSUE FOR THIS VEHICLE. I'M WELL AWARE OF THE LAWSUITS INVOLVED BUT I GUESS IT'S GOING TO TAKE SOMEONE BEING HURT BEFORE THEY TAKE ACTION. WHAT ACTIONS CAN I TAKE? I HAVE COPIES OF ALL MY RECORDS BUT THEY ARE IN MY VEHICLE AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE SAME PROBLEM
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 INFINITI QX60 HYBRID. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, AN ABNORMAL NOISE WAS HEARD WITHOUT WARNING WHEN SHIFTING INTO FIRST GEAR. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY, THE CONTACT NOTICED GREEN ANTIFREEZE LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SANFORD INFINITI (995 RINEHART RD, SANFORD, FL 32771, (407) 710-2224) FOR A ROUTINE INSPECTION AND IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR CONDITIONER EVAPORATOR CORE NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 53,000.
PURCHASED THE VEHICLE USED IN AUGUST 2018, WITH ABOUT 50K MILES. BROUGHT THE CAR INTO INFINITI OF WILLIAMSVILLE, NY COMPLAINING OF A PROBLEM NOTICED WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND HYBRID SYSTEM. THE SERVICE DEPT. CLEARED A CODE FROM SOME COMPUTER AND TOLD ME TO KEEP AN EYE ON IT. I BROUGHT THE CAR IN AGAIN, COMPLAINED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS REVVING UP AND DOWN A COUPLE OF 1000 RPM? THIS TIME THE SERVICE DEPT. PERFORMED A SOFTWARE UPDATE, AND AGAIN TOLD ME TO REPORT ANY PROBLEMS. FINALLY AT 64724 MILES THE TRANSMISSION FAILED ALL TOGETHER. THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T ACCELERATE, AS THE TRANSMISSION WAS SLIPPING IN AND OUT OF GEAR. THE HYBRID SYSTEM TRIED TO KEEP CAR GOING, BUT IT THREW OUT AN OVER-HEATING MESSAGE. WHERE AFTER 10 DAYS OF SERVICE, THE DEALERSHIP AGREED TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION UNDER THE 70K MILES POWER TRAIN WARRANTY. A TOTAL OF 24 DAYS TO REPLACE A PROBLEM THAT NO DOUBT THEY KNEW ABOUT FROM THE ONSET WAS A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. I WAS TOLD THAT THE NEW TRANSMISSION HAD 12 MONTHS, OR 12K MILES WARRANTY, BUT HAVEN'T RECEIVED THAT IN WRITING FROM THE DEALER SHIP.

THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED ON MY 4 YEAR OLD VEHICLE COST FROM INFINITY TO REPAIR $6500 . I OPENED A CASE WITH INFINITY CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THEY DENIED IT. I FOUND A WARRANTY THAT WAS EXTENDED TO 94,000 DUE TO THIS SAME ISSUE. I WAS 400 MILES OVER AND THEY DENIED ME. THE CAR'S ENGINE REVS VERY HIGH AND IS VERY LOUD, NOT NORMAL.

WHILE DRIVING ON THE STREET OR HIGHWAY THE CAR DOES NOT GAIN RPMS AND BEGINS TO WHAT BEST CAN BE DESCRIBED AS COUGHING AND SHAKING. CHANGING GEARS FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL OR REVERSE ALSO TAKES THE VEHICLE TIME TO MAKE THE CHANGE.

I TOOK IT TO THE BENNET ALLENTON INFINITI WHILE UNDER WARRANTY WHICH EXPIRED 2 MONTHS AGO AND THEY TOLD ME A CVT TNASMISSION IS ALWAYS MOVING. I EXPLAINED THAT I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN AUTO TRANSMISSION AND A CVT AND HOW THEY WORK. THIS PROBLEM IS NOT NORMAL OPERATING FOR A CVT TRANNY. SO AGAIN IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING IN TRAFFIC WHILE ACCELERATING NORMAL, THE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR AND THE CAR STOPS ACCELERATING, SO YOU ARE SLOWING DOWN DRASTICALLY UNTIL YOU LIFT UP FOOT AND WAIT UNTIL IT WANTS TO CATCH OR SHIFT.
The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti QX60 Hybrid. The contact stated while driving from a complete stop, the accelerator pedal was depressed and the vehicle started shuddering, jerking, and hesitated to respond. An unknown warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to continue driving however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the spark plugs and ignition coils needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the failure persisted. The contact stated that on another occasion while driving and coming to a complete stop, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was pushed to an independent mechanic who completed an unknown repair; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where the sparks plugs and ignition coils were replaced. The failure reoccurred two weeks later. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V774000 (Engine and Engine Cooling, Hybrid Propulsion System) and the vehicle was towed to the dealer where the recall repair was completed. Additionally, the dealer diagnosed that the CVT transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then towed back to the residence. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 89,000.
SUN VISOR IS BROKEN AND HANGS DOWN IN THE SIGHT LINE OF THE DRIVER. THE CAR IS A 2014 INFINITY QX 60 AND BOTH VISORS ARE BROKEN. COST IS OVER $400 TO FIX THE FAULTY PARTS PLUS LABOR. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND A FAULTY PART THAT IS A RIP OFF FOR $400 TO FIX. CONTACTED INFINITY CORPORATE TO SEE ABOUT REPLACING THE FAULTY PARTS AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD NOT COVER ANY OF THE COST. TREATING IT AS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. THE VEHICLE IS 4 YEARS OLD AND HAS 64K MILES.
