THE 2014 JEEP CHEROKEE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN RECALLED NUMEROUS TIMES FOR DELAYED AUTOMATIC GEAR SWITCHING. COMPLAINTS OF THESE OCCURRENCES ARE NOTORIOUSLY DOCUMENTED ONLINE IN RANDOM FORUMS. NONE OF THE RECALLS NOR FIRMWARE UPDATES HAVE SOLVED THE ISSUE (AT LEAST WITH MY VEHICLE). AFTER RESTING LEVEL AT A STOP SIGN OR TRAFFIC LIGHT, PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL CAUSES THE ENGINE TO REV WITHOUT MOVING. APPROXIMATELY ONE TO TWO SECONDS LATER, THE TRANSMISSION VIOLENTLY "KICKS" INTO FIRST GEAR. I FEAR THAT THIS DELAY WILL LEAD TO A FUTURE ACCIDENT. AFTER MULTIPLE RECALLS FOR THIS ISSUE ALREADY, THIS PROBLEM SHOULD HAVE BEEN FULLY REMEDIED BY NOW. THEIR SOFTWARE UPDATES HAVE ONLY CHANGED THE TIMING OF THE GEAR RATIOS AND HAVE NOT SOLVED THE MECHANICAL DANGER.
PARKING BRAKE LOCKS UP RANDOMLY AND CAN'T MOVE VEHICLE. WATER LEAKING IN AND CORRODING PARKING BRAKE MODULE.
In the spring of 2021 my parking break and break light illuminated on my dash, my electronic emergency break would not disengage nor would my vehicle move in drive or reverse. After bringing my vehicle to a local mechanic, they diagnosed the issue that the EPB (electronic break module) which is located inside the rear end of the vehicle was corroded from water damage. When I fill up my car completely the car will sputter and turn off when idling at a stop. Then it may turn off and says to put in park. This has happened several times and in intersections which one incident almost caused an accident. Only happens when car gas tank is completely full. Please advise. Thank you
SERVICE 4WD LIGHT CAME ON. HAD LOCAL SHOP DIAGNOSE. INTERNAL FAILURE TO THE PTU. NEEDED FULL REPLACEMENT AT 57K MILES.
FILLED UP GAS TANK AND WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE KEPT TRYING TO STALL.
WITHIN THE PAST YEAR MY ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE SEIZED. I HAD TO HAVE MY VEHICLE TOWED AND PARKING BRAKE REPLACED. MECHANIC STATED BRAKE WAS DAMAGED DUE TO WATER GETTING TO THE PART. THIS PAST WEEK WHILE AWAY ON BUSINESS 3.5 HOURS FROM HOME THE PARKING BRAKE ENGAGED WHEN CAR WAS PARKED AND WOULD NOT DISENGAGE. I HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED FROM THE MOTEL TO A GARAGE. IT WAS NOT A JEEP DEALERSHIP. THE MECHANIC FOUND A SERVICE MEMO #08-060-16 REGARDING THIS ISSUE ON MY JEEP. HE KNEW I NEEDED TO GET HOME THAT DAY SO MY ELECTRONIC BRAKE WAS UNHOOKED SO I COULD DRIVE. HE STATED THAT WATER AGAIN WAS THE ISSUE. THAT THERE IS A LEAK IN THE BACK WINDOW THAT CAUSES WATER TO POOL IN THE PARKING BRAKE WHICH THIS TIME SHORTED THE COMPUTER THAT RUNS THE SWITCH FOR THE BRAKE. HE ALSO STATED THAT THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A FIRE IF I HAD MANAGED TO DISENGAGE THE BRAKE AND CONTINUE TO DRIVE. AFTER RESEARCH I SEE THIS IS A CONTINUING ISSUE IN THIS VEHICLE YEAR AND MODEL. I FEEL A RECALL IS WARRANTED
I was driving on the highway approximately 60mph, suddenly the service 4wd light appears. I took it to a Jeep dealership service center and diagnose and needed a 2 speed transfer case unit. It was replaced costing a little under $3000. The problem was not fixed and garage said it was misdiagnosed and still doesn’t know what’s wrong. Now the vehicle stalls while I’m driving and will not start immediately. I’m afraid this is going to cause an accident! Also it will have a sudden acceleration or a delayed acceleration while driving or when moving from a complete stop. This is very scary!
THE FIRST COMPLAINT IS WHEN THE CAR WAS OVERHEATING AND IT NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION WHICH WAS COVERED UNDER THE POWER TRAIN WARRANTY. THE SECOND WAS WHEN THE CAR WOULD HAVE DIFFICULTY ACCELERATING, AND THE MAIN INCIDENT WAS WHEN I WAS ON THE FREEWAY (WESTBOUND 80 IN HERCULES, CA) AND THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE BEYOND 60 MPH SO I NEEDED TO EXIT AND WHEN I WAS ABLE TO SAFELY PARK THE CAR, IT DIED ON ME AND I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP, COSTING ME OVER $2500 IN REPAIR REGARDLESS OF THE FIX A COUPLE YEARS AGO. THIS MOST RECENT INCIDENT OCCURRED WHEN AT A STOP LIGHT (ANTIOCH, CA)THE CAR STARTED SHAKING ABOUT TO THE DIE AND THE SCREEN READ 'MUST PLACE CAR IN PARK.' AFTER PLACING THE CAR IN PARK THE CAR STARTED UP AGAIN, BUT AT EVERY STOP THE CAR WOULD SHAKE. MOST RECENTLY (CONCORD, CA) AN ALERT CAME ON THE SCREEN 'SERVICE SHIFTER.' AFTER DOING MY RESEARCH I WAS INFORMED THAT MY CAR MAY HAVE BEEN A PART OF A RECALL AFFECTING THE ENGAGEMENT OF THE GEARS. BRINGING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP I WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL, BUT AM STILL CONCERNED ABOUT THE VEHICLE SHIFTING GEARS, OR LACK THEREOF. I HAVE DOCUMENTATION OF THE REPAIRS AND COMPLAINTS, BUT DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THEM RIGHT NOW. IF NEEDED I CAN PROVIDE THEM.*DT
I FIND IT VERY HARD TO BELIEVE WHEN I ENTER MY VIN ON YOUR SITE IT SHOWS NO RECALLS FOR THIS VEHICLE BUT WHEN I ENTER MY VIN ON MOPAR.COM IT SHOWS ABOUT 4 RECALLS AND THREE CAMPAIGNS. MY VEHICLE STALLS WHILE DRIVING AND IT'S UNSAFE FOR MY KIDS. I GOT THE ISSUE 'REPAIRED' AND THE CAR STALLS EVEN MORE, THERE IS A HUGE THUMP IN THE ENGINE WHEN I SWITCH GEARS FROM PARK TO REVERS OR PARK TO DRIVE. YESTERDAY WHEN I WENT TO TURN MY CAR ON THE START BUTTON GOT STUCK AND THE CAR DID NOT TURN ON, MY HUSBAND REPLACED THE BATTERY AND GOT THE CAR ON BUT NOW THE CAR WON'T TURN OFF.
1)Vehicle sputters & says I cannot change gears manually while driving. To put the vehicle in park then shift to neutral. 2)Warning light message to “service shifter”. 1)This usually happens after/while stopped at a light. Has happened 3-4 times in the past 6 months. 2) This light comes on every time I drive it.
Rear right door handle just falls off when trying to operate the door, preventing entry into the door. Many complaints online about this defect.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER CHRYSLER WORLD (2612 COUNTY RD EE, ABRAMS, WI 54101, (920) 826-4141) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH NEEDING AN UNKNOWN SOFTWARE UPDATE PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V343000 (POWER TRAIN) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 84,000.
THE PTU CASE IS FAULTY LEAVING MY 4WD UNAVAILABLE.
THE POWER TRAIN TRANSFER UNIT HAS GONE OUT ON MY JEEP. THERE ARE MULTIPLE OTHER ONES BETWEEN THE YEAR MINE WAS MANUFACTURED AND I BELIEVE THIS WAS A FAULTY ONE AS WELL.I
I LIVE IN NJ BUT WORK IN PHILA. IN DECEMBER I WAS ON MY WAY HOME ON I95 AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON SAYING SERVICE TRANSMISSION. 30 SECS LATER IT GOES LIMP. WITH NO WAY TO ACCELERATE I HAD TO COAST TO A SHOULDER AT THE BASE OF THE BRIDGE WITH A TRACTOR TRAILER ALMOST CRASHING INTO THE BACK OF ME. I TOOK IT TO CHERRY HILL JEEP AND THE INVOICE SAYS RECALL PARTIAL COMPLETE. FAST FORWARD TO TODAY 3/21, I AM RIDING OVER THE WALT WHITMAN BRIDGE WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON SAYING SERVICE TRANSMISSION. 20 SECS LATER THE TRANSMISSION GOES LIMP AGAIN AND I HAD TO COAST INTO AN ACTIVE CONSTRUCTION AREA AT THE BASE OF THE BRIDGE. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND SAT THERE FOR 15 MINS AS VEHICLES FLEW BY ME. I STARTED IT AND THE CHECKED ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON BUT I WAS ABLE TO MOVE TO A SAFER SPOT. I TURNED IT OFF AGAIN AND SAT FOR ANOTHER 10 MINS AND THE LIGHT WAS OFF. I DROVE IT WORK ON A WING AND A PRAYER AND THAT'S WHERE AS LEFT IT. THAT'S TWICE THIS VEHICLE TRIED TO KILL ME. IT WON'T GET A THIRD.
THE UPPER COOLANT HOSE BROKE AT THE PLASTIC CONNECTION. DEALERSHIP SAID THEY DON'T REPLACE IT NEEDED A WHOLE DIFFERENT PART DUE TO IT BREAKING ON ALOT OF VEHICLES.
I WAS DRIVING AND STOPPED AT TRAFFIC LIGHT AND NOTIFICATION POPPED UP SAYING "SHIFT GEAR TO PARK (P) AND TO DESIRED GEAR". AFTER PERFORMING THAT AND WHEN I WENT BACK TO D ALL POWER WENT AWAY AND CAR STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS (THERE WAS A LITTLE SLOPE). SO I WENT TO PARK AGAIN AND TRIED IT ONCE MORE, POWER CAME FOR 3 SECONDS AND WENT OUT AGAIN.

RIDGE RD, MADISON, OH 44057, (440-428-1141) WHERE THE DEALER REPLACED THE KEY FOB BATTERY HOWEVER, THE REPAIR DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.

SIGNIFICANT LEAK IN OIL FILTER HOUSING DUE TO PLASTIC MATERIAL. MOPAR REPLACEMENT FILTER HOUSING IS BACKORDERED AND IS CURRENTLY ON THE 7TH REVISION (PARTNUM ENDS IN AF). MULTIPLE REPORTS OF THIS EXACT PROBLEM. LEAKING OIL ON PAVEMENT WHILE STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. OIL CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO OTHERS ON ROAD AND PREMATURE ENGINE FAILURE WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS A DANGEROUS DESIGN FLAW.
I am writing to express my concern about a critical issue I have been experiencing with my 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4WD. I have been facing continuous and severe problems with the transfer case, which has rendered my vehicle unsafe and unusable. ELECTRIC PARKING BREAK AUTOMATICALLY ENGAGES ON IT'S OWN WHILE DRIVING OR WHEN I STOP AND DOES NOT DISENGAGE.

The transmission warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 35,000.
Oil leak at oil filter housing causing oil to leak on hot engine components and leave oil on ground below vehicle.

THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER OWNS A 2014 JEEP CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. ADDITIONALLY, SHIFTING INTO REVERSE, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED SEVERAL TIMES AND THE VEHICLE LUNGED BACKWARDS AND THE REAR BUMPER WAS SCRATCHED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SEVERAL WARNING LIGHTS AND FALSE SAFETY READING INTERMITTENTLY FLASHED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HIS DAUGHTER HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO NORTH STAR DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM FIAT (7242 SAN PEDRO AVE, SAN ANTONIO, TX 78216) WHERE THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V447000 (POWER TRAIN) HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED HIM THAT THERE WERE NO FURTHER RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 160,000.
3/1/2021: Rough idle and overheating after filling up gas tank that morning upon arriving at work. Jeep had problems when leaving work at roughly 1630. Idles poorly, very rough and dipped from 900 rpm down to 200 rpm while almost stalling. I decided to drive home and thought it may be a little water in the gas from filling up that morning on MacDill. Ran rough on the way out of MacDill. At the home depot traffic light, the transmission would not engage and I had to switch to park and back into drive. Once onto Gandy Blvd the temperature started to overheat. I turned on the heater to act as a second radiator and decided to shoot for Jeep dealer in St. Pete. I made it there and caught a ride home with Wife's sister. Dealer drove Jeep on Tuesday a total of 23 miles without any temperature above 202. Told that lot boy and service supervisor drove it. No charge since St. Pete Jeep couldn't find any faults. I had Wife take me to pick it up. On ride home got up to 207. No rough idle. ***Rough idle and stalling while driving in traffic continued. Noticed this always occurred after filling gas tank up to full*** Jun 29, 2021: Got gas again at MacDill Monday morning upon arrival at work. Monday afternoon car ran terrible. Remote start stalled before I got to Jeep. Started up again when I got to car and engine ran rough. Nearly stalled several times. Engine almost stalled at final left turn while heading to gate. Transmission indicator flashed again and transmission failed to work. Display showed to place in park to select drive. Had to coast up onto median to keep from blocking traffic when engine started to stall again when light turned green and I proceeded through light. Occasionally Ran rough all the way home for the 43 miles and 1 hour drive. This time there was no significant overheating. Just went up to low 200s. Decided to submit a NHTSA complaint since dealership said they wouldn't be able to find anything wrong if no check engine light came on. Dangerous
I WAS DRIVING LIKE USUAL AND WHEN I GOT HOME AND I WAS PARKING ON MY DRIVEWAY THE 'SERVICE SHIFTER' APPEAR ON MY SCREEN AND MY VEHICLE WAS STILL IN MOTION BUT STOP COMPLETELY WHEN THAT WARNING CAME ON MY PANEL.
WHILE DRIVING, AT AROUND 10 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION WENT INTO SERVICE TRANSMISSIONS (LIMP) MODE WITHOUT WARNING. IN ADDITION, RECEIVED A PARK BRAKE WARNING AS WELL. CURRENTLY THE VEHICLE IS WITH THE DEALERSHIP FOR AN ASSESSMENT OF THE PROBLEM.
THE OIL FILTER ADAPTER AND OIL COOLER DEVELOPS A SIGNIFICANT OIL LEAK THAT CAUSES OIL PRESSURE AND DRIVING PERFORMANCE TO DROP PRECIPITOUSLY AND MAKES THE VEHICLE IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE. THE NEEDED PART IS SIGNIFICANTLY BACKORDERED. IN SPEAKING WITH DEALERSHIPS AND INDEPENDENT MECHANICS IT IS A COMMON REPAIR. AT SPEED ON HIGHWAYS, THIS ISSUE CAN SUDDENLY WITHOUT WARNING CAUSE ACCIDENTS AND PUT DRIVERS IN HARMS WAY.
VEHICLE HAS BEGUN LOSING POWER WHEN ACCELERATING. THERE HAS ALREADY BEEN A RECALL FOR THIS, BUT IT DOES NOT APPEAR THAT MY VIN IS INCLUDED. THIS OCCURRED TWICE WHILE ACCELERATING ON A HIGHWAY
I HAVE AN OIL LEAK IN MY CARD. I HAD THE CAR INSPECTED AND IT WAS FOUND THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE OIL FILTER HOUSING. THE PROBLEM IS THAT MANY MANY JEEPS HAVE THE EXACT SOME PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A BACK ORDER OF OVER 40K AND I WOULD HAVE TO WANT UP TO 6 MONTHS UNTIL I HAD THE ISSUE RESOLVE. JEEP HAS NOT RECALLED THE PART. JEEP CANNOT TELL ME WHEN THE PART WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE. THEY HAVE NO EFFORTS TO HELP ME REMEDY THE SITUATION AT ALL, I.E., OFFER A LOANER CAR, TAKE TRADE IN, OR EVEN EXPLAIN HOW THEY ARE GOING EXPEDITE THE SITUATION. I'VE CONTACTED MY JEEP CERTIFIED DEALER WHICH ONLY TOLD TO CONTACT CORPORATE. I'M FILING THIS COMPLIANT BECAUSE IT APPEARS TO ME JEEP HAS A MAJOR MANUFACTURING ISSUE WITH THEIR JEEPS AND HAVE TAKEN NO STEPS TO CORRECT OR HELP THEIR CUSTOMERS IN ANY WAY.
EMERGENCY BRAKE LIGHT IS ON IN DASHBOARD. EMERGENCY BREAK WILL NOT POWER OFF AND THE LIGHT WILL REMAIN. EMERGENCY BREAK DOES NOT CLICK ON OR OFF ANYMORE.
THE PARKING BRAKE ENGAGED BY ITSELT AND WOULD NOT RELEASE. AFTER TOWING THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL MECHANIC (JEEP IS AN HOUR AWAY), THE MECHANIC SAID THE MODULE HAS A PLASTIC COVERING THAT IS NOT WATER PROOF AND CONDENSATION CAUSED THE MODULE TO FAIL. WE HAD TO REPLACE THE PLASTIC COVERING WITH A RUBBER COVERING THAT WOULD KEEP WATER OUT OF THE MODULE. THE COSTS OF THIS ARE GOING TO BE UPWARD OF $1000.00. I HOPE JEEP COVERS DEFECTIVE PARTS. APPARENTLY THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN ON THIS ISSUE BUT NO RECALL
I HAVE AN OIL LEAK AND NEED TO REPLACE MOPAR PART NUMBER 688105583AF. HOWEVER, THIS PART IS ON BACK ORDER WITHOUT AN IN STOCK DATE (SOME WEBSITES ARE SAYING IT'S DISCONTINUED). LOOKING ON EBAY I SEE THIS PART BEING SOLD FOR $200 ABOVE MSRP WITH OVER 170 SOLD RECENTLY. NO ONE CAN HELP ME FIX THIS ISSUE SINCE THE PART IS BACK ORDERED WITHOUT AN IN STOCK DATE. FURTHERMORE, DOING RESEARCH ON THIS PART, THE ISSUE I HAVE IS EXTREMELY WIDE SPREAD WITH 2014 - 2016 JEEP, DODGE, CHRYSLER AND RAM MODELS (THAT ALL USE THIS PART). A MECHANIC I CALLED STATED THIS WAS A WIDESPREAD ISSUE. SINCE THE JEEP DEALERSHIPS ARE NOT CARRYING THIS PART AND NO MECHANIC CAN ORDER IT, I AM STUCK WITH A CAR LEAKING A GOOD AMOUNT OF OIL.
I experience a loss of power while driving and a message pops on the screen telling me to put the Jeep in Park then back into gear but I can only get it to go back into gear and drive after parking and restarting it. The park function seems to go out as well and I have to use the parking break to stop from rolling away uncontrollably and while I'm pushing the break to the floor there are awful griding noises coming from underneath the Jeep. I've experienced these issues with and without a check engine light and once before the low battery voltage light came on and a day later turned back off. The check engine light also came on and the jeep lost power while driving the day after an oil change but does it randomly other times too. No car shops can figure out what it wrong and the dealership I bought it from wants to charge me just to look at it. Please help I'm a single mom and need safe transportation!

THEN WHEN I GOT THE CAR THERE IT HAPPENED TO ONE OF THE TECHNICIANS AND SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF HIM AND HE SAID HE WOULDN'T DRIVE THIS CAR. BUT NO ONE DID NOTHING.. NOW TODAY I ALMOST WAS IN A ACCIDENT AT THE FOOD STORE BECAUSE THE TRANSMISSION WOULDN'T STOP AND THEN THE WHOLE CAR STOPPED. IT WAS BROUGHT TO BURKE AUTO GROUP ON STONE HARBOR BLVD. I STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT FOR MAYBE 3 MINUTES. WHEN I PUSHED THE GAS TO GO WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, THE CAR DID NOT MOVE. I MOVED THE GEARS, BUT IT STILL DID NOT MOVE IN DRIVE OR REVERSE. I SHUT DOWN THE VEHICLE, TURNED IT BACK ON, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AT THAT POINT, I PUT THE CAR BACK INTO DRIVE, AND IT STILL WOULD NOT GO. I SAT THERE THROUGH THE GREEN LIGHT, AND WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED RED, I FELT THE CAR SHIFT, AND IT WOULD THEN GO AGAIN WHEN THE GAS PEDAL WAS PUSHED. GLAD I WAS NOT IN A BUSY INTERSECTION. THE SAD PART IS, I JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR IN SEPTEMBER FROM MILNES FORD IN LAPEER, MICHIGAN. I NOTICED THE RECALL ON THE AUTOCHECK BEFORE I BOUGHT IT. I ASKED ABOUT THE RECALL WHEN I PURCHASED. MULTIPLE REPORTS OF THIS EXACT PROBLEM. LEAKING OIL ON PAVEMENT WHILE STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. OIL CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO OTHERS ON ROAD AND PREMATURE ENGINE FAILURE WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS A DANGEROUS DESIGN FLAW. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALLED PRODUCT AFTER SO MANY COMPLAINTS.

EVER SINCE I PURCHASED THE 2014 CHEROKEE SPORT IT HAS ALWAYS SHIFTED REALLY HARD WITH HEAVY JERKING/STICKING WHILE SHIFTING IN 1, 2, 3 GEARS FROM A STATIONARY TO CRUISING POSITION. IN CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS. DEALERSHIP FLASHED SOFTWARE SEVERAL TIMES IN THE FIRST FEW YEARS WHICH ONLY PROVIDED A TEMPORARY SOLUTION AS THE ISSUE CONTINUES TO OCCUR TO THIS DAY' FEBRUARY 2021. I AM OUT WARRANTY NOW SO I HOPE DEALERSHIP DOESN'T CHARGE ME TO GET MY JEEP FLASHED AGAIN FOR THE SAME ISSUE. WE SHALL SEE.

LOOKING ONLINE ON JEEP CHEROKEE FORUMS MANY MANY PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM. WE NOTICED THIS PROBLEM DUE TO THE FACT THE ENGINE TEMP KEPT FLUCTUATING AND THE COOLANT WAS LOW.

The Power Transfer Unit was determined to be faulty by both a certified mechanic as well as Casa Chrysler Jeep- a verified Jeep dealership.
