TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL FOUR OF THE DOOR HANDLES FRACTURED AND DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION WHERE THEY ADVISED THAT THE DOOR HANDLES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
DRIVER SIDE FLOOR HAS HAD APPROX 1-2 INCHES OF WATER AFTER RAINING ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. LOCAL JEEP DEALER SAID THE SUNROOF DRAIN WAS CLOGGED. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING, ONLY WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED. IT'S PRETTY PRICEY TO HAVE THESE DRAINS UNCLOGGED AND FROM READING ALL THE OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME PROBLEM ON EDMUNDS, IT IS A CONSISTENT SERVICE THAT NEEDS DONE. I AM VERY FRUSTRATED BECAUSE THIS SOUNDS LIKE A DEFECT ON CHRYSLER'S PART, BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE ABOUT IT. WHEN THIS WATER FLOODS MY FLOOR IT STINKS IN THE VEHICLE. I ALSO NOTICE FLIES AND GNATS. I AM AFRAID OF MOLD, DRY ROT AND ELECTRICAL ISSUES. MY RADIO IS GOING OUT AND I BELIEVE THE WATER HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS. I NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE RADIO UNTIL THIS STARTED. THE SCREEN IS NO LONGER CLEAR, THE GPS DOESN'T WORK, THE UCONNECT HANDS FREE DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY ANYMORE AND THE RADIO RANDOMLY CHANGES STATIONS ON ITS OWN. *TR
OCTOBER, 2013 RECEIVED NOTIFICATION THAT THERE WAS A SAFETY RECALL ON MY 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. (AS I HAVE 6 CHILDREN, THIS WAS A PRIORITY TO HAVE FIXED) I BROUGHT MY JEEP INTO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE N23 SAFETY RECALL PERFORMED. COME JANUARY, 2014 I ATTEMPT TO ACTIVATE MY 4 WHEEL LOW AND I GET A SERVICE LIGHT STATING "SERVICE 4WD". I CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP WHO HAD PERFORMED THE RECALL AND BRING IT IN TO BE LOOKED AT. THEY RUN A DIAGNOSIS AND DETERMINE THE TRUCK HAS AN INTERNAL SHORT IN THE TRANSFER CASE. THE SERVICE TECH ADVISED ME IT IS RELATED TO THE RECALL BUT HE CAN NOT DO ANYTHING AT THE DEALER LEVEL. I NEED TO CALL CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO TELLS ME THEY WILL NOT BE DOING ANYTHING TO HELP. UPON A LITTLE RESEARCH (JEEP FORUMS) IT SEEMS THERE ARE MANY (MANY) OTHERS WITH THE SAME ISSUES. I AM SURE I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE TO CALL JEEP WITH THIS ISSUE AND IF YOU CLEAR THE CODES THE 4 WHEEL LOW ENGAGES SO IT IS NOT A SHORT. I BELIEVE CHRYSLER JEEP SHOULD LOOK INTO WHAT WAS PERFORMED WITH THE N23 RECALL AND DETERMINE HOW IT EFFECTED THE 4 WHEEL LOW ON THESE VEHICLES. THEN REPROGRAM THEM TO WORK, AS THEY WERE, AT NO COST TO THE OWNER. SINCE THIS WAS A SAFETY RECALL I FELT I HAD NO OPTION BUT TO HAVE THE RECALL PERFORMED ON MY VEHICLE NOW I HAVE A FAULTY VEHICLE. DEALER TELLS ME THEY NEED TO UPDATE 4 WHEEL DRIVE BUT CANT DO IT BECAUSE IT IS NOT IN THE RECALL THIS HAS GONE ON FOR WAY 2 LONG . I AM GOING TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS AND I ASK EVERYONE WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM DO IT ALSO PLEASE COMPLAIN SOMEWHERE SO SOMETHING CAN BE DONE. *TR
THE VEHICLE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND THE CAR STALLS OUT NO MATTER HOW FAST YOU ARE GOING. EVERYTHING DIES, INCLUDING POWER STEERING. I HAVE TO COAST OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURN THE CAR OFF AND THEN RESTART IT AND IT RUNS FINE FOR AWHILE. THERE IS NO RHYME OR REASON TO IT. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 80 MPH AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND IT JUST SHUTS OFF. I HAVE ALSO BEEN ON SIDE ROADS GOING 35-40 MPH AND IT HAPPENS. IT ALWAYS RESTARTS AND THEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN. I HAD ALL THE SPARK PLUGS REPLACED IN 2012 AND IT WORKED FINE FOR AWHILE, PROBABLY ABOUT 5,000 MILES, THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN OUT OF THE BLUE IN 2014. I DON'T DRIVE THE CAR VERY OFTEN BECAUSE IT IS TOO DANGEROUS. I'VE ALMOST CAUSED SEVERAL ACCIDENTS ON THE HIGHWAY FROM A SUDDEN SLOW DOWN FROM THE ENGINE DYING AND DECELERATING RAPIDLY. I'VE WRITTEN A COMPLAINT IN 2012, NEVER HEARD ANYTHING AND NOW I AM WRITING AGAIN. *TR

ONE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE (RIGHT REAR) WAS BROKEN WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, RENDERING THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE INOPERABLE. WITHIN TWO MONTHS, MY LEFT REAR HANDLE BROKE IN A SIMILAR FASHION (CRUNCHING SOUND UNDER LIGHT USE).THE INTERIOR HANDLE 'CUP' SHATTERED IN APPROXIMATELY 12 PIECES, RENDERING THAT DOOR HANDLE INOPERABLE. THE DRIVER'S FRONT SHOWS SEVERAL LARGE CRACKS, AND THE PASSENGER FRONT SHOWS 2 CRACKS. ALL HAVE BEEN REBUILT/REINFORCED USING AN EPOXY STICK. JEEP UNWILLING TO ASSIST AS A DEFECT. I AM HIGHLY CONCERNED THAT THIS COULD CAUSE AN INABILITY TO EGRESS IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. *TR
IN MARCH OF 2012, I WAS DRIVING MY 2006 JEEP COMMANDER V8 ON A TWO LANE HIGHWAY.AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT, I HAD BEEN DECREASING SPEED, WHEN THE TRUCK IN FRONT OF ME SUDDENLY SLAMMED ON HIS BRAKES. HOWEVER, WHEN I PRESSED DOWN HARD ON MY BRAKES, MY BRAKES/ANTI-LOCK BRAKES COMPLETELY FAILED, CAUSING ME TO CRASH INTO THE TRUCK IN FRONT OF ME. WHILE TRYING TO BRAKE, MY CAR STALLED AND CONTINUED TO PROPEL FORWARD, CAUSING A LACK OF STEERING CAPABILITY, INEVITABLY CAUSING A CRASH, IN WHICH MY AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. AFTER THE POLICE ARRIVED, I WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR AND BARELY MADE IT HOME, HAVING TO PUSH IT SEVERAL BLOCKS. MY SUV WENT INTO THE SHOP FOR ALMOST ONE MONTH. AFTER MY SUV WAS FIXED, INCLUDING EXTERIOR AND RADIATOR, THE SUV CONTINUED TO OVERHEAT WITHOUT CAUSE AND IT WAS NOW CONSIDERED A TOTAL LOSS. I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR MY VEHICLE TO BE CONSIDERED A TOTAL LOSS AS THE ISSUES APPEARED TO BE MINOR. I ENDURED MAJOR HARDSHIP AS A RESULT ON THIS ACCIDENT, INCLUDING LACK OF WORK AND OCCURRED AT AN INOPPORTUNE TIME FOR ME TO BUY A NEW VEHICLE, RESULTING IN A HIGH INTEREST RATE AND SKYROCKETING INSURANCE, SINCE I WAS CONSIDERED AT FAULT, DESPITE LACK OF BEING CITED DUE TO VEHICLE ISSUES. AFTER 2 YRS, I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO REFINANCE MY CAR; HOWEVER, MY INSURANCE WILL REMAIN HIGH TIL FEB 2015 @$314 (35 MOS). I DID NOT REALIZE WHY THE VEHICLE'S BRAKING AND STALLING OCCURRED AS I WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE RECALL UNTIL JULY 2014! IF RECALLS OCCURRED IN 07-09, WHY WAS I NOT INFORMED PRIOR TO THIS ACCIDENT? THIS ACCIDENT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED! WHEN I CALLED TO SPEAK TO CHRYSLER, THEY SAID THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THEY COULD DO BECAUSE THE CAR WAS SCRAPPED. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY SOME PEOPLE CAN BE COMPENSATED FOR ISSUES, BUT I AM DISREGARDED DESPITE THE ONGOING HARDSHIP CAUSED BY A DEFECT CAUSED BY CHRYSLER! IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT CAN HELP!? *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER'S SIDE DOOR HANDLES FAILED. IN ADDITION, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED AND THE CONTACT WAS NOT ABLE TO DETERMINE WHAT SPEED HE WAS TRAVELING OR THE AMOUNT OF GASOLINE FUEL IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN, BUT THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 57,000.
STALLED WHILE DRIVING. *TR
TCM DOWNSHIFTS WHILE DRIVING ON 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. TCM AND LINKAGE REPLACED FEB 2011 TO ADDRESS SITUATION. THE NEW TCM IS WORSE. IT WILL DOWNSHIFT TO LOWEST GEAR AND STAY THERE REGARDLESS OF VEH SPEED (HAS HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY). THE PARKING ASSIST DISABLE LIGHT WILL COME ON AS A WARNING THEN THE TRANSMISSION WILL DOWNSHIFT. STOPPING THE VEHICLE AND PUTTING IT IN PARK REQUIREDTO ADDRESS THE SITUATION. VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND CHRYSLER WILL NOT HELP. HAPPENS ONCE A DAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE ENGINE RPMS INCREASED EXCESSIVELY AS THE VEHICLE DECELERATED ABNORMALLY. THE VEHICLE BECAME STUCK IN THIRD GEAR AND STALLED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTICS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 117,000.

THE CONTACT SMELLED A BURNING ODOR AND NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE GEAR SHIFTER. THE WARNING LIGHTS THEN ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, BUT A DIAGNOSIS OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
THE AIR CONDITIONER MADE A LOUD NOISE AND THEN SMOKE BEGAN POURING OUT OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. I OBSERVED SMOKE COMING FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR. I HAD TO PUT THE FIRE OUT WITH WATER. *TR
MY JEEPS CUTS OFF GOING ABOUT 70 MPH DOWN THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE HAD TO STAFFORD JEEP IN WINCHESTER VA 4 TIMES AND THEY CAN NOT SEEM TO FIND THE PROBLEM. THE WAS A RECALL ON THE PCM MODULE BUT THEY ASSURE ME THAT THE RECALL WAS DONE CORRECTLY. NOW THE JEEP HAD THROTTLE CONTROL ISSUES. IT WILL SPEED UP AND LOSE POWER. THIS HAS CAUSE OTHER ISSUES AS NOW MY JEEP IS MIS FIRING. STAFFORD JEEP WANTS TO CHARGE ME FOR ALL OF THIS AND I BELIEVE IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE CONTROL MODULES. *TR
DRIVING ON BELTWAY AND LOUD NOISE BEGAN TO OCCUR, SOUNDS LIKE RUBBING ALONG THE FLOOR OF VEHICLE WENT TO DEAL AND THEY DIDN'T FIND ANYTHING SECOND OCCURRENCE MAYBE THREE MONTH THERE AFTER AND FINALLY FOUND THE PROBLEM BRAKE CABLE FIXTURE BROKE AND BRAKE CABLE RUBBING RETIED AND FIXED. THIRD TIME SAMETHING AND IT WAS FIXED. FOURTH TIME THE MANAGER RECOMMENDED I PAY 549.00 TO REPLACE THE CABLES AND THIS BEGAN TWO MONTHS AFTER BUYING THE VEHICLE. IM LEFT WITH THE BILL!!!! *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE INTERIOR DRIVER'S DOOR HANDLE FRACTURED. THE PLASTIC HANDLE WAS CRACKED AND BROKE, MAKING THE DOOR DIFFICULT TO OPEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO STATED THAT THE INTERIOR HANDLE PANEL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS DETERMINED TO BE BROKEN PLASTIC. THE DEALER OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE ON THE REPAIR COSTS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ADDRESSING THE FAILURE. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 52,000.
ON MY 2006 JEEP COMMANDER THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLES BREAK AND YOU CAN'T OPEN THE DOORS WITHOUT REACHING OUTSIDE AND USING THE OUTSIDE HANDLES. IF THIS ISN'T A SAFETY ISSUE THAT I SEE HUNDREDS OTHERS HAVE TYPED IN JEEP FORUMS THEN I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS. HOPEFULLY WE DON'T HAVE A CRASH AND CAN'T GET OUT OF A BURNING JEEP OR GO INTO WATER. ALSO SEE HOW SEVERAL JEEP OWNERS HAVE POSTED UTUBE VIDEOS ON THIS SAFETY ISSUE. YOU CALL CHRYSLER AND THEY TELL YOU 500 TO 600 A DOOR HANDLE TO FIX. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS MATTER BEFORE SOME ONE LOSES A LOVED ONE. I CAN EMAIL PHOTOS IF YOU WANT THEM. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE AT A COMPLETE STOP, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE WIRING IN THE STARTER WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. ADDITIONALLY, THE EXTERIOR LIGHTING INTERMITTENTLY FAILED AND THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WINDOW INTERMITTENTLY FAILED WHILE BEING OPENED OR CLOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
CAR CONTINUES TO RUN AFTER SWITCH IS TURNED OFF. *TR
THERE IS A SERIOUS ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WITH THE SUV WHICH STARTED WITHIN . THE DEALERS LOOKED AT IT, I PAID FOR COMPUTER DIAGNOSTICS AND STILL NOTHING. BESIDES ALL THE LIGHTS FLASHING ON AND OFF, THE SPEEDOMETER FLUCTUATING, ACTUALLY ALL THE INSTRUMENTS GOING ON AND OFF WHILE I AM DRIVING; ALSO, THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL PANEL DOES NOT LIGHT UP WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS ARE ON. I HAVE NEVER HAD AN AUTOMOBILE WITH ALL THESE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS THAT NO ONE CAN FIX. PLEASE RECALL THIS VEHICLE BEFORE SOMEONE DIES. I TRY NOT TO DRIVE LONG DISTANCES ALONE BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM. *TR
2006 JEEP COMMANDER 4.7L. INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS ALL FLASH RANDOMLY ON AND SPEEDOMETER FLUCTUATES UP AND DOWN, OCCASIONALLY RADIO SHUTS OFF TOO WHEN THIS CYCLE HAPPENS. LOSS OF POWER AND CAR STALLS WITHOUT WARNING AT LOW SPEED. *JS
FAULTY INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY PROBLEM THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE INCORRECT RESIN MIX WHICH RESULTS IN A BRITTLE AND CRUMBLING MATERIAL CAUSING FAILURE JUST THE SAME. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A MANUFACTURER DEFECT, HOWEVER ITS A FAULT THAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER JEEP WARRANTY. THE ONLY FIX WAS REPLACING THE ENTIRE DOOR PANELS. CHRYSLER DESIGNED THE INTERIOR DOOR PANELS ON THE JEEP COMMANDER IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE ENTIRE DOOR PANEL HAD TO BE REPLACED RATHER THAN JUST THE DOOR HANDLE. THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE IS PLASTIC WELDED AT CERTAIN POINTS FROM THE BACKSIDE OF THE DOOR PANEL. I UNDERSTAND 2008 MODELS HAD A DOOR HANDLE REDESIGN SO THEY OBVIOUSLY KNEW OF THIS PROBLEM. THE AIRBAG SENSOR FOR THE 2006 JEEP COMMANDERS SEEMS TO BE A PREVALENT ISSUE. AFTER DOING A WEB SEARCH THE ISSUE SEEMS TO BE PREDOMINANTLY WITH 2006 JEEP COMMANDERS. THE DASH AIRBAG LIGHT COMES IN BECAUSE OF A SENSOR ISSUE. THIS IS IRRESPECTIVE OF MILEAGE. INDIVIDUALS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS ISSUE WHEN THE JEEP WAS AS LITTLE AS A YEAR OLD. *TR
I WAS DRIVING IN MY COMMUNITY ON A LOCAL STREET AT RATE OF 45 MILES HOUR. FOR NO REASON, MY 2006 JEEP COMMANDER STALLED AND I HAD NO POWER OR ANYTHING CONTROL OF THE CAR. SCARY TO SAY THE LEAST. I HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND RESTART MY CAR. NOW, WHEN I TRY TO START IT, THE HORN WILL NOT STOP AND I CANNOT TURN OFF MY FOG LAMPS OR HIGH BEAMS. NOW I AM MAD AND WANT ANSWERS. I PAY A LOT OF MONEY TO KEEP THIS CAR IN GOOD SHAPE, NOW THIS. *TR
JEEP COMMANDER DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEAT BELTS DO NOT LOCK INTO PLACE CORRECTLY. TO GET THEM TO LOCK YOU HAVE TO PRESS AND HOLD IN THE RED BUTTON, THEN TO UNLOCK THE SEAT BELT YOU ALSO HAVE TO PRESS THE RED BUTTON. NOW IN ADDITION, THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT WHEN LOCKED INTO PLACE - THE ALARM GOES OFF AS IF THE SEAT BELT IS NOT ENGAGED AND THE DASH LIGHT ALSO IS LIT UP. SOMETIMES WITH MULTIPLE LOCK/UNLOCK ATTEMPTS THE ALARM MAY GO OFF. OFTEN IT CHIMES RELENTLESSLY EVEN WHEN SEAT BELT IS ENGAGED. CHRYSLER CUSTOMER CARE WILL NOT FULLY REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE SEAT BELTS EVEN THOUGH IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD. *JS

DOOR HANDLES ON JEEP COMMANDER HAVE A FACTORY DEFECT IN MANUFACTURING OF THE DOOR HANDLE CARRIER CUP ON THE INSIDE OF THE DOOR PANALS. THIS IS DUE TO A POOR PLASTIC MATRIX RESULTING IN EMBRITTLEMENT. *TR THIS RESULTS IN OCCUPANTS BEING UNABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE ON VARIOUS JEEP FORUMS AND FOUND IT TO BE A UNIVERSAL PROBLEM. IT IS TIME FOR NTHSA TO HOLD CHRYSLER RSPONSIBLE FOR THIS FLAW AND ISSUE A SAFETY RECALL. I USE THIS VEHICLE TO CARRY MY CHILDREN AND IT WILL COST OVER $2000 TO REPLACE THE 4 DOOR PANELS, THE ONLY FIX.

I HAVE RANDOMLY CHOSEN AN INCIDENT DATE AS I AM NOT SURE OF THE EXACT DATE THE DOOR HANDLES CAVED IN. WHEN THE FIRST HANDLE CAVED IN I THOUGHT MY DAUGHTER PUSHED TO HARD TO OPEN THE DOOR AND THAT IT COULD BE REPAIRED BY SIMPLY REPLACING THE HANDLE. AS THE MONTHS AND YEARS HAVE GONE ALL FOUR DOOR HANDLES HAVE CAVED IN. AND I HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT THE ENTIRE PANEL MUST BE REPLACED FOR EACH TO REPAIR. I AM APPALLED AND SHOCKED THAT JEEP HAS NOT RECALLED THESE DOORS. THIS IS CERTAINLY A SAFETY HAZARD. IT IS SO EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR AS WELL. THE DOOR HANDLE STILL RELEASES THE DOOR BUT YOU NEED TO WIGGLE IT AROUND A BIT AND GET IT ALIGNED PROPERLY BEFORE BEING ABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR. NOT DRIVING THE VEHICLE OFTEN AND THINKING IT WAS JUST A SMALL, EASILY REPLACED PART I DID NOT TAKE IT TOO SERIOUSLY. IT WAS ONLY WHEN I LOOKED INTO IT, REALIZED IT WAS THE WHOLE DOOR PANEL AND SAW THAT SO MANY OTHER OWNERS WERE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM THAT I DECIDED TO REPORT IT.
