I RECEIVED THE SAFETY RECALL NOTICES FROM FCA IN NOVEMBER 2015 AND MAY 2016. TO REPLACE THE AIRBAGS. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE BY FCA (FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES)OR METRO ATLANTA CHRYSLER DEALERS TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM. THEY SAY PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND CAN OFFER NO TIMELIME FOR REPLACEMENT.. I HAVE CALLED FCA TWICE ABOUT THIS. AT THIS POINT, WHAT ARE MY LEGAL OPTIONS FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS IN MY VEHICLE?

ARM REST WIRE CONTROL DOOR LOCKS DASH OVERHEAD LIGHTS TURN LIGHTS REMOTE MIRROR CONTROL HAS SHORTED OUT 3 TIMES NOW DRIVING IN ALL TYPES OF ROADS.
ON 09/12/2015, I WAS REAR ENDED AT A STOP LIGHT IN A GRAND CHEROKEE WITH THE FACTORY TOWING PKG.IE FACT. TRAILER HITCH AND WAS TRAPPED IN THE VEHICLE UNTIL ASSISTANCE ARRIVED. MY REPLACEMENT VEHICLE, ALSO A GRAND CHEROKEE, HAS NO TRAILER HITCH. AFTER READING SEVERAL ARTICLES ABOUT THE GAS TANK FIRE RECALL, I WAS VERY INTERESTED IN GETTING THIS RECALL DONE. I WENT TO BERTERA CHRYSLER, JEEP, DODGE EXPECTING A TRAILER HITCH TO BE INSTALLED AS A PROTECTIVE DEVICE FOR THE FUEL TANK. TO MY SURPRISE I WAS TOLD THAT THE RECALL DID NOT APPLY TO MY VEHICLE. RECALL NUMBER N45. WHEN I WAS REAR ENDED EVERY THING SEEMED TO PERFORM CORRECTLY. THE TRAILER HITCH BENT DOWN TO PROTECT THE FUEL TANK, THE FRAME BUCKLED, AND THE BODY STRETCHED BETWEEN THE DOORS. I SEEMS TO ME THAT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE DRIVER DOOR, EVERYTHING PERFORMED AS IT SHOULD TO ABSORB ENERGY FROM THE CAR STRIKING MINE. THE DRIVER'S DOOR WAS JAMMED CLOSED BECAUSE THE TOP FRONT EDGE OF LEFT REAR DOOR OVERLAPPED THE REAR EDGE OF THE DRIVER DOOR. THIS CAUSED ME, THE DRIVER, TO BE TRAPPED IN THE FRONT SEAT UNTIL MY PASSENGER CAME AROUND THE CAR AND FORCED THE DRIVER DOOR OPEN. HAD THE FUEL TANK RUPTURED AND CAUGHT FIRE I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN DIRE STRAIGHTS. SO WHILE THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT ABOUT A NEW ISSUE, IT IS A COMPLAINT ABOUT HOW THE DEALER HANDLED MY RECALL. EVERYTHING I HAVE READ LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT CHRYSLER AGREED TO INSTALL HUTCHES ON ALL THE VEHICLES THAT DID NOT HAVE THE TOWING PKG. OR A MOPAR AFTERMARKET HITCH.
I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH MY IDASH LIGHTING GOING SO DIM YOU CAN'T SEE ANYTHING ON IT AND WHEN THAT HAPPENED MY POWER WINDOWS STOPPED WORKING IT WAS LIKE THAT FOR ABOUT A WEEK THEN IT JUST FIXED ITS SELF NOW A YEAR LATER AND ALL MY POWER WINDOWS DON'T WORK AGAIN. 3 TIMES NOW I HAVE HAD THE WIRES THAT RUN THROUGH THE RUBBER BOOT IN THE PASSENGER DOOR BREAK CAUSING LOSS OF POWER TO PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS, DOOR LOCKS, SIDE MIRRORS AND INTERIOR LIGHTS NOT TURNING OFF.

THE LIGHTS ON THE VEHICLE BECOME DULL DUE TO THE HAZING OF THE PLASTIC CAUSING LOW LIGHTING
THE DRIVER DOOR WIRING HARNESS BREAKS AND CAUSES THE WINDOWS NOT TO WORK. THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM AND IS CAUSED BY THE REPEATING OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE DOOR AND THE WIRES BEING BENT. THIS CAN CAUSE A SAFETY HAZARD BY WAY OF NOT BEING ABLE TO UNLOCK DOORS IN EMERGENCY OR ROLL DOWN WINDS

A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT WAS TRANSPORTED BY AMBULANCE TO THE HOSPITAL. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED SEVERE HEAD INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. MY SON WAS INVOLVED IN AN UNEXPLAINED CAR ACCIDENT ON 9/26/15 IN OUR 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CRASH RESULTED IN EXTENSIVE PHYSICAL AND FIRE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE AND THE LOSS OF MY SON'S LIFE. IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL SUNNY DAY AND THE CAUSE REMAINS UNKNOWN. SHORTLY AFTER I RECEIVED NOTICE THAT HIS VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN RECALL R60 FOR UNINTENDED AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH. MY SON WAS A NEW DRIVER AND ANYTHING COULD HAVE HAPPENED. I HAVE CONTACTED CHRYSLER WHO INFORMS ME SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALLED AND DISPOSED OF PRIOR TO THE RECALL THEY CAN NOT HELP ME AND I MUST CONTACT THE SUBROGATION DEPARTMENT TO TRY TO GET MY INSURANCE COMPANY'S MONEY BACK. THIS IS NOT MY CONCERN THOUGH I HAVE NOTIFIED MY INSURANCE COMPANY. I'M ANGRY THAT THIS MAY BE THE REASON MY SON IS NO LONGER WITH ME AND ALL I GET IS A SO SORRY, THE CAR IS GONE, WE CAN'T HELP YOU. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WINDOWS FAILED TO ROLL DOWNWARD AND UPWARDS AND THE DOORS FAILED TO LOCK ELECTRONICALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

YES, THERE IS JEEP RECALL N47 TO INSTALL HITCH ON MY 2004 GRAND CHEROKEE. BUT THE PART THAT IS AT DEALERSHIP DOESNT FIX MY VEH.. SO I GUESS WERE ALL OUT OF LUCK. AS THE HITCH WONT MOUNT TO VEH, AS ITS THE WRONG SIZE.

MY JEEP HAS WHAT IS KNOWN AS THE "DEATH WOBBLE" WHERE ALL THE FACTORY SUSPENSION PARTS START FAILING RAPIDLY. YOU CAN'T CONTROL YOUR STOPPING ABOVE 40MPH BECAUSE IT SHAKES SO BAD YOU LOSE HOLD OF THE STEERING WHEEL. THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH JEEPS FROM THE 2000S.

WHEN I CONTACTED CUSTOMER CARE THEY TOLD ME BECAUSE MY JEEP DID NOT HAVE A TRAILER HITCH I DID NOT NEED TO HAVE IT INSPECTED AND HAVE A HITCH INSTALLED. MY GAS TANK IS BEHIND THE REAR AXLE AND HANGS BELOW THE BUMPER. I BELIVE THAT SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE I THINK IT PRESENTS A DANGER IN A REAR END COLLISION. I THINK THEY JUST WANT TO AVOID THE EXPENSE.
I JUST GOT A COPY OF THE N47 REAR STRUCTURAL REINFORCEMENT RECALL. YOU PEOPLE HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. WHO TOOK THE PAYOFF ON THIS ONE? THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 1998 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE AND THE 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WHEN THESE VEHICLES GET HIT FROM BEHIND WHEN THE GAS TANK EXPLODES. THE 1999-2004 NEED TO BE INCLUDED UNDER THE N45 RECALL SAME AS THE 1998 AND EARLIER MODELS. AS WE ALL KNOW THE 1998 AND EARLIER JEEP GRAND CHEROKEES ARE A FADING MODEL DUE TO THE AGE OF THE VEHICLES. MEANING THAT CHRYSLER WILL NOT HAVE TO SPEND AS MUCH MONEY TO FIX THESE 1998 AND EARLIER MODELS AS THEY WOULD IF YOU INCLUDED THE 1999-2004 MODELS WHICH SHOULD BE INCLUDED BECAUSE THEY HAVE EXACTLY THE SAME STRUCTURAL PROBLEM AND WILL BE ON THE ROAD LONGER. MY GOODNESS THIS IS COMMON SENSE. CHRYSLER NEEDS TO DO THE RIGHT THING. I WANT MY 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE RECALLED AND FIXED. ON AUGUST 21 , MY SON AND I WERE PROCEEDING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION DOING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH WHEN AN ONCOMING DRIVER FAILED TO YIELD AND TURNED DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF OUR JEEP. WE WERE WEARING OUR SEAT BELTS. WE BOTH SUSTAINED HEAD INJURIES AS A RESULT OF THE CRASH. I DON'T REMEMBER MUCH AFTERWARDS. WE ARE HEALING AND JUST THANKFUL WE ARE ABLE TO TELL OUR STORY. THE JEEP HAS BEEN DECLARED TOTALED DUE TO EXTENSIVE FRONT END DAMAGE AND A BENT FRAME. THINGS COULD HAVE BEEN A LOT WORSE. HOWEVER, I STILL HAVE TO WONDER WHY THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.

I AM JUST WANTING TO INFORM YOU THAT APPROX. 3+ YEARS AGO I HAVE BEEN GETTING THE AIRBAG RECALL AND ALSO REC. THE RECALL FOR THE GAS TANK PROBLEM. WHEN I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO TAKE THE CAR IN FOR THE AIRBAG RECALL (3 YRS LATER) THEY FINALLY GOT THE PART AT THIS TIME THEY ADVISED ME THAT I WAS ALSO ON THE GAS TANK RECALL AND SAID THEY WOULD CALL ME WHEN THE PARTS CAME IN. I FOUND OUT THAT THE FIRST AIRBAG REPAIR DID NOT WORK AND THEY WERE SCHEDULING FOR THE SECOND REPAIR. AT THE TIME I TOOK MY CAR IN THEY NOT ONLY DIDN'T HAVE THE NECESSARY PARTS TO DO THE 2ND AIRBAG REPAIR BUT I ASKED THEM WHEN THE TRAILER HITCHES WERE GOING TO BE AVAILABLE FOR THAT REPAIR AND STRANGELY MY VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER ON THAT RECALL. WHICH MADE ME VERY SUSPICIOUS AS TO WHY I WAS FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN DROPPED. I FIGURED THEY WERE REDOING THE RECALL LIST TO MAKE IT LESS BUT MY PROBLEM IS THAT I NEED A SAFE CAR AS I TRANSPORT MY GRANDCHILD AND 86 YEAR OLD MOTHER IN MY CAR. WHAT KIND OF GAMES ARE THEY PLAYING? I WOULD LIKE ASSISTANT WITH GETTING THE 2 RECALLS TAKEN CARED OF OR HAVE THE BUY BACK OPTION OF THE $1,000 OVER MARKET VALUE THAT I HAVE READ ABOUT SO I CAN TRAVEL SAFELY WITH MY FAMILY IN A SAFE CAR.

I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FCA (FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES) IN MARCH, 2015 THAT THAT OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE WAS DEFECTIVE AND IT NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. AS OF TODAY, JULY 2, 2015, THE COMPANY STILL DOES NOT HAVE THE PARTS READY TO REMEDY THE DEFECT. THIS IS AN UNREASONABLE TIME DELAY TO REPAIR THE SAFETY DEFECT.
THE AIR BAG LIGHT KEEPS GOING ON AND OFF. I HAVE NOT FOUND A PATTERN AS TO WHAT CAUSES THIS TO HAPPEN. I AM WORRIED BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN OTHER RECALLS ON JEEP GRAND CHEROKEES WHICH CAUSED THE AIR BAG TO DEPLOY FOR NO REASON.
