TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED BUT FAILED TO ENGAGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO APPLY THE BRAKES WHEN TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED BEFORE OR AFTER THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE CRYSTAL LAKE CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM DEALER AT 5404 S ILLINOIS RTE 31 IN CRYSTAL LAKE, IL. IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS NO FAILURE WITH THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE REMAINED CONSISTENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
AT APPROXIMATELY 60,000 MILES, BOTH ENGINE MOUNTS FAILED. THE PROBLEM PRESENTED AS A ROUGH IDLE CONDITION BUT WAS ACTUALLY THE MOTOR MOUNTS.
THE VEHICLE TURNS OFF WHILE DRIVING AT HIGH RATE OF SPEED. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED MY WIFE AND 2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WERE IN THE VEHICLE IN TRAFFIC. BROUGHT IN TWICE TO THE JEEP SERVICE CENTER AND THE COULD NOT DUPLICATE. THE VEHICLE JUST TURNS OFF RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING. OPENED A CASE WITH FCA JEEP NA AND BOTH THE SERVICE CENTER AND FCA HAVE TOLD ME SORRY ABOUT YOUR LUCK WE COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT AN AUTO MAKER WOULD FEEL COMFORTABLE RELEASING THIS VEHICLE TO A CUSTOMER LET ALONE HAVING IT ON THE ROAD IN GENERAL. I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO ATTACH TO THE COMPLAINT BECAUSE THE VEHICLE IS STILL AT THE JEEP SERVICE CENTER.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,600. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *BF*JB
THE ALTERNATOR HAS BEEN WHINING FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS AND THE BATTERY LIGHT PERIODICALLY ILLUMINATES. THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE BUT THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER IF I WANT THE RECALL COMPLETED, THEY CAN HAVE IT CHANGED TOMORROW IF I PAY FOR IT OUT OF POCKET. MAKES NO SENSE WHEN PEOPLE'S LIVES ARE AT STAKE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT OPERABLE ONCE IT WAS PLACED IN THE ON POSITION. IN ADDITION, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL TICKING SOUND EMITTED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO RICHARDSON CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (1321 N CENTRAL EXPY, RICHARDSON, TX) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR WAS DEFECTIVE. A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS NOT PERFORMED DUE TO THE COST. THE ALTERNATOR WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTICE OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V435000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AFTER BEING CHARGED FOR THE ALTERNATOR REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 69,000.
8 TIMES SINCE NEW AND 3 TIMES SINCE ITS LAST TRIP TO THE DEALERSHIP, OUR JEEPS ENGINE WILL CUT OUT, 6 TIMES WERE WHEN LIFTING OFF THE THROTTLE WHEN EXITING THE INTERSTATE AND TWICE WHERE IN TRAFFIC. WHEN THIS HAPPENS YOU LOSE POWER STEERING AND IT BECOMES VERY HARD TO CONTROL. THERE ARE NO WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH, AND NO CODES STORED IN THE COMPUTER. SINCE THIS IS COMPLETELY RANDOM THE DEALERSHIP HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO DUPLICATE IT. I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY, CRANKSHAFT SENSOR, CAMSHAFT SENSOR, AND INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR, ALL WITH NO HELP. WE JUST DROPPED IT OFF AGAIN AND TOLD THEM WE DO NOT WANT IT BACK UNLESS IT IS FIXED.
2012 JGC ,54K MILES . I APPEAR BETTER OFF THAN SOME,AS MY JEEP'S ONLY REAL ISSUE ,AT THE MOMENT, IS THAT IT CRANKS BUT WONT START. DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY AND LEAVING IT FOR AN HOUR WILL RE BOOT THE TIPM AND CAR WILL START. DEALERSHIP SINGULARLY UNHELPFUL, AND CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE DECLINED TO HELP. I CAN SEE WHY.

THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE BATTERY WAS DRAINED COMPLETELY AND THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR FAILED AND DRAINED THE BATTERY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURER AND A LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V435000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MILTON RUBEN SUPERSTORE (3512 WASHINGTON RD, AUGUSTA, GA 30907, (888) 516-3797) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY FAILED. THE ALTERNATOR, BATTERY, AND CPM WERE REPLACED. TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V435000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT OWNERS WOULD RECEIVE A SECOND NOTICE IN 2018 WHEN FINAL REMEDY PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT DID NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 87,000.

THE INTERIM NOTICE INDICATED THAT THE REMEDY AND PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A DEALER FOR OVER FIVE MONTHS. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED BECAUSE THE INTERIM RECALL NOTICE STATED THAT THE REMEDY AND PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE, PARKED IT IN THE GARAGE, AND EXITED THE VEHICLE. WHEN THE CONTACT CAME BACK TO THE VEHICLE, A FIRE STARTED UNDER THE HOOD, CAUSING SMOKE TO EMIT INTO THE GARAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN OUT OF THE GARAGE, PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY, AND THE FLAMES WERE EXTINGUISHED UNDER THE HOOD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE MANUFACTURER INDICATED THAT AN INSPECTOR WOULD BE SENT TO INVESTIGATE THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
I RECEVID A RECALL IN AUGUST OF A ALTERNATOR THAT WOULD BE REPLACED.. HOW EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY AND YOUR PASSENGERS. IT STILL , HASNT BEEN FIXED. I CALL THEM , THEY HANG UP ON ME.
SATURDAY WHILE IT WAS RAINING WE WERE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND ALL OF A SUDDEN OUR VEHICLE SHUT OFF, THE BREAKS LOCKED UP. WE WERE UNABLE TO PUT OUR HAZARDS ON AND BARELY MADE IT TO THE SIDE OF THE SHOULDER, DURING THIS OTHER CARS WERE HONKING AT US. WE FOUND OUT THAT OUR VEHICLE HAS A RECALL T36, WHILE THIS ISNT THE ONLY ISSUE BUT THERE IS NO FIX AT THIS TIME TILL LATE FEBRUARY OF 2018. THE ONLY REPAIR THAT THE DEALERSHIP CAN DO IS PUT ANOTHER FAULTY ALTERNATOR OUR JEEP. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPEN. IN 2015, THIS SAME EXACT THING HAPPEN EXCEPT WE WERE ON A SIDE STREET. AT THAT TIME THE RECALL WAS NOT KNOWN. SO IF REPLACED THIS WOULD BE THE 3RD ALTERNATOR PUT IN OUR JEEP. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT, AND FEEL THAT CHRYSLER SHOULD REPLACE OUR VEHICLE IF THE PART IS NOT YET CREATED. THEY WOULD LIKE TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE BY PUTTING IN A FAULTY ALTERNATOR, WHICH COULD POSSIBLY RESULT IN ANOTHER ISSUE. WHILE I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN THE CAR, I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT ON THE HIGHWAY, LUCKILY THE CAR AROUND ME WERE AWARE OF THE SURROUNDS BECAUSE WE COULD HAVE CAUSE A CRASH EASILY SINCE THE HAZARDS DIDN'T WORK.
CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN WHEN SLOWLY BEING DRIVEN IN REVERSE IN DRIVEWAY. SHOT BACKWARDS AND EVENTUALLY HIT TREE AND STOPPED. THIS WAS NOT USER ERROR. THE FLOOR MAT WAS NOT STUCK. ALL THIS WAS CHECKED.
I OWN A 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE VIN: [XXX] FOR THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS SINCE PURCHASE, THE JEEP HAS HAD ISSUES STARTING AND HAS STALLED WHILE DRIVING AT HIGH RATES OF SPEED. OUR CAR IS CONTINUING TO STALL. ?THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM) ON YOUR VEHICLE CONTAINS AN INTERNAL FUEL PUMP RELAY THAT COULD OPERATE INTERMITTENTLY OR FAIL WITHOUT WARNING. AN INTERMITTENT OR FAILED FUEL PUMP RELAY COULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STALL WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING. WHAT YOUR DEALER WILL DO... FCA WILL REPAIR YOUR VEHICLE FREE OF CHARGE. YOUR DEALER WILL INSTALL AN EXTERNAL FUEL PUMP RELAY.? CARFAX ATTACHED. FIRST, A CHRYSLER DEALER TRIED REPROGRAMMING THE COMPUTER MODULE AND THEN HAD TO REPLACE IT IN 2013. PRIOR TO THE FEBRUARY 2015 RECALL. (I ASSUME WHAT THEY IDENTIFY AS THE ENGINE/POWERTRAIN COMPUTER/MODULE IS THE TIPM MODULE ?I.E., THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE.) ISSUE 1 IN AUGUST 2015, THEY REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP RELAY (I.E., THE RECALL WORK). 2ND ISSUE THEN, IN APRIL 2016, THEY TRIED TO REPROGRAM THE ENGINE POWERTRAIN COMPUTER MODULE AGAIN, AND AGAIN FAILED AND HAD TO REPLACE IT. THIRD ISSUE WE ARE NOW HAVING ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE: FOURTH ISSUE, STILL NOT FIXED AFTER TAKING IT TO PERFORMANCE JEEP ON 3 OCCASIONS. THERE HAS BEEN A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT WITH A SETTLEMENT. AS I UNDERSTAND THOSE TERMS, THEY INCLUDE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON FUEL PUMP REPAIRS FOR UP TO 7 YEARS/70,000 MILES. WE ARE WELL UNDER THE 7 YEARS/70,000 MILES. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE BATTERY INDICATOR SUDDENLY ILLUMINATED AND A WHINING NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE ENGINE AREA. ALSO, A BURNING ELECTRICAL ODOR AND SMOKE WERE PRESENT UNDER THE HOOD. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER (BROWN JEEP IN PATCHOGUE, NY) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED IN REFERENCE TO THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 14V634000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) ALTHOUGH THE FAILURE WAS IDENTICAL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000.
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE WARNING INDICATORS MOUNTED IN THE DASH ARE GOING OFF ALTERNATELY IN ROTATION, FRONT COLLISION AND BLIND SPOT WARNING NO LONGER WORK EITHER. MY VEHICLE IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING RECALL, THE JEEP, FOUR MONTHS AFTER THE RECALL WAS AN OUNCE, STILL HASN'T SUPPLIED THE NEEDED REPLACEMENT ALTERNATORS SPECIFIED IN THE RECALL: MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBERT36 NHTSA RECALL NUMBER17V-435 RECALL STATUSRECALL INCOMPLETE, REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE
MY AIR BAG LIGHT HAS COME ON MY DASH I RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION ABOUT MY VEHICLE AND TAKATA RECALLS MY VEHICLE WILL NOT PASS INSPECTION DUE TO THIS LIGHT
ON OCTOBER 22, 2017 MY CAR STARTED TO HEAT UP AND TURN OFF ON ME. WHEN I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER THEY ADVISED ME THAT MY ALTERNATOR WENT BAD AS A RESULT OF A RECALL THAT THE ALTERNATOR HAD. THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT THE RECALL PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR IT AND THEN GET REIMBURSED. WHILE THE ALTERNATOR GOT REPAIRED THE DEALER CONTACTED ME LETTING ME KNOW THAT AS A RESULT OF THE ALTERNATOR GETTING MESSED UP IT AFFECTED THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE. I CONTACTED THE FCA AND TOLD THEM THE ISSUE AND THEY REASSURED ME THAT IF THE POWERTAIN MODULE WAS AFFECTED AS A RESULT OF THE ALTERNATOR THAT THAT WOULD ALSO BE REIMBURSED. THE CUSTOMER SALES REP ALSO CONFIRMED THIS TO THE SERVICE ADVISOR OF THE DEALERSHIP. NOW THREE MONTHS LATER I GET A PHONE CALL THAT THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REIMBURSE ME FOR POWERTRAIN MODULE BECAUSE THEY HAVE YET TO RECEIVE THE ALTERNATOR PIECE AND HAVEN'T LOOKED INTO WHAT THE ALTERNATOR COULD AFFECT. HOW DOES ONE REP CONFIRM THAT IT IS GOING TO BE COVERED AND ANOTHER REP TURN AROUND AND DENY MY CLAIM. HAD MY ALTERNATOR NEVER BLEW MY POWERTRAIN WOULD HAVE STILL WORKED PROPERLY. NOW HOW DO I GO ABOUT GETTING MY MONEY BACK.

I HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED THAT IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MAKE MODEL AND YEAR WITH A BAD TIPM. I HAVE ALSO BEEN NORIFIED THAT THE RECALL HAS BEEN DENIED AND THAT THE NHTSA DOESNT THINK ITS DANGEROUS FOR CARS TO RANDOMLY CUT OFF AND FOR AIRBAGS TO RANDOMLY GO OFF OR NOT GO OFF WHEN NEEDED. CAR HAD PREVIOUSLY HAD R09 / NHTSA 14V-115 COMPLETED TO FIX A FUEL PUMP ISSUE. I HAVE HAD THE CAR IN TWICE SINCE THEN AND INFORMED JEEP THAT IT IS STILL HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. THE FUEL PUMP HAS RANDOMLY STOPPED THREE TIMES SINCE THE REPAIR AND IS NOW HAVING INTERMITTENT NO START ISSUES. THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT DUPLICATE AND CLAIMS THERE IS NO ISSUE. WE REPLACED THE BATTERY HOPING IT WOULD SOLVE THE ISSUE TO NO AVAIL. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE AND I HAVE READ OF MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. THE CAR RESTARTS EACH TIME, BUT IT IS THE FACT THAT IT JUST RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF WHEN IT WANTS.

WHILE DRIVING MAYBE 30MPH, I ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A LEFT TURN WHEN MY JEEP IMMEDIATELY WENT DEAD (NO LIGHTS SOUND OR ANYTHING ELSE) AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP. I ATTENDED TO JUMP IT , BUT IT WOULDN'T START EVEN AFTER BEING CONNECTED FOR 20+ MINUTES. WHEN TAKEN OFF THE JUMPER CABLES, IT WOULD IMMEDIATELY DIE AGAIN. DURING THIS TIME, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD START WITHOUT MOVING WITHOUT ME TOUCHING THEM. I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO MY HOUSE AND THE TOW TRUCK WAS ALSO UNABLE TO START IT OR PUT IT IN NEUTRAL TO GET IT ON THE TRUCK . GOT A LETTER BY MAIL IN REGARDS TO A RECALL FOR MY GRAND CHEROKEE 2012 FOR A ALTERNATOR DIODE THERMAL FATIGUE AND SUN VISOR WIRING. ON 9-14-17 TOOK JEEP IN TO DEALERSHIP FOR RECALLS TO BE FIXED. GOT JEEP BACK ON 9-15-17 BUT DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME THAT BATTERY WAS NO GOOD. DEALERSHIP OFFER ME A $300 BATTERY WHICH I DECLINE BECAUSE I KNOW BATTERY IS NOT THAT EXPENSIVE AT OTHER PLACES. TOOK NEW BATTERY TO DEALERSHIP AND REPLACE IT BEFORE I LEFT THE SHOP. AT THIS TIME THE SERVICE ADVISOR FROM DEALERSHIP DID NOT GAVE ME ANY EXPLANATION OTHER THAN THEY DON'T HAVE THE RECALL ALTERNATOR BUT THEY PUT A TEMPORARY ONE AND GAVE ME PAPER TO SIGN. AS I WAS DRIVING HOME THE BATTERY LIGHT TURN ON. I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS NORMAL SINCE I HAD JUST REPLACE THE BATTERY. SATURDAY MORNING WHEN I GOT OUT FROM WORK, I WAS DRIVING WHEN THE JEEP STOP COMPLETELY ON THE ROAD. THE LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD TURN ON AND WARM AIR CAME TOO. I HAD TO CALL A FAMILY MEMBER TO COME AND HELP ME MOVE CAR FROM THE ROAD. I CALLED DEALERSHIP TO REPORT THE PROBLEM AND I HAD TO TOW THE JEEP BACK TO DEALERSHIP. ON 9-18-17 DEALERSHIP CALLED ME TO LET ME KNOW THAT NOW THE PROBLEM IS THE PCM MODULE AND THAT IS GOING TO COST ME ABOUT$900 TO FIX IT. I FEEL THAT THE REASON WHY MY BATTERY AND PCM MODULE ARE NOT WORKING IS BECAUSE OF THE PROBLEM WITH THE ALTERNATOR. I FEEL THAT THE MANUFACTURES ARE RESPONSIBLE TO FIX EVERYTHING THAT IS WRONG WITH THE JEEP. RIGHT NOW I HAVE NO VEHICLE TO MOVE AND NOT KNOWING WHEN THE RECALLS ARE COMING IN BECAUSE THERE'S POOR COMMUNICATION WITH CUSTOMERS. THEY CONFIRMED ALTERNATOR IS RECALL ITEM T36 BUT CHRYSLER HASN'T AUTHORIZED FIX. CALLED 1-800-853-1403 FCA RECALL ASSISTANCE CENTER AND SPOKE W/ SHEA WHO CONFIRMED THIS AND SAID I HAD TO OPEN A "CASE" AND COULD EXPECT A CALL WITHIN 24-HOURS. I WAS ABLE TO GET INTO SHOULDER AND AFTER, IMMEDIATELY AFTER STALLING OUT I ATTEMPTED TO START THE CAR RIGHT AWAY, IT TOOK ABOUT 4 ATTEMPTS FOR VEHICLE TO START UP AGAIN. TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY FIRST DIAGNOSED IT BEING AN ISSUE WITH THE KEY FOB BATTERY AFTER BEING REPLACED THE VEHICLE RAN FOR ABOUT A WEEK THEN THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM REOCCURRED. THIS TIME IN TOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. VEHICLE WAS NOT ABLE TO START AND HAD TO GET VEHICLE TOWED. AFTER TAKING IT BAKE TO THE DEALER THEY INFORMED ME THAT THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY FUEL PUMPS.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE PAINT ALONG THE TOP OF THE CAR WINDSHIELD IS BUBBLING UP, RUSTING, PEELING ACROSS THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD LINE. IT CONTINUES PROGRESSIVELY TO GET WORSE ALL ALONG THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD. WE HAD A FEW CAR REPAIR CENTERS LOOK AT THE CAR- THEY HAD TO HAVE MULTIPLE PEOPLE COME OUT AND LOOK AT IT BECAUSE THEY HAD NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT. THEY SAID THE PAINT WAS EXTREMELY THICK ON THE ROOF AND ALONG THE WINDSHIELD LINE. IT SHOULD NEVER BE THAT THICK. THEY SAID THIS SHOULD BE FIXED IN A MANUFACTURER RECALL AS IT IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND IS PROBABLY AFFECTING OTHER CARS PAINTED AT THE SAME TIMEFRAME AS MINE. THE PAINT ISSUE CONTINUES TO GET WORSE. THE CAR REPAIR ESTIMATORS SAID THE ROOF AND SURROUNDING WINDSHIELD PAINT NEED TO BE REPLACED OR THIS WILL CONTINUE TO CORRODE. THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT OR HAD THE WINDSHIELD REPLACED.
