The contact stated that while shifted in drive, the screen displayed as if the vehicle was in the reverse for several minutes before the display went back to normal. The sound system warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the inner panel had detached, and the radio and screen needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in a recall and that the vehicle was out of warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER RIVER OAK CHRYSLER LOCATED AT 4807 KIRBY DR, HOUSTON, TX 77098, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE BODY CONTROL MODULE WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.*DT*JB*LN
