ON THE 2008 JEEP WRANGLER (LHD) DASHBOARD, THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT FLASHES ON EVERY OTHER MINUTE WITH A CHIME, AN INDICATION THAT THERE IS SOMETHING MALFUNCTIONING OR INTERFERING WITH THE VEHICLE'S AIRBAGS.THIS HAS BEEN A RECURRING ISSUE AND CONCERN FOR MANY 2008 JEEP WRANGLER (LHD) OWNERS, INCLUDING MYSELF, AND HAS BEEN SHOWN TIME AND TIME AGAIN TO BE CAUSED BY A FAULTY CLOCKSPRING WITHIN THE VEHICLE'S STEERING WHEEL. THIS FAULTY CLOCKSPRING IS THE CULPRIT FOR POTENTIAL AIRBAG FAILURE IN THE 2008 JEEP WRANGLER (LHD) DURING AN ACCIDENT OR PREMATURE DEPLOYMENT WHEN SIMPLY DRIVING AROUND. DAIMLER CHRYSLER HAS REFUSED TO ADDRESS THE SAFETY CONCERN OF THEIR FAULTY CLOCKSPRING THAT CAN CAUSE FAILURE OF THE VEHICLE'S AIRBAGS FROM PROPERLY DEPLOYING. *TR
DRIVING DOWN HIGHWAY AT 50 MPH THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE WHOLE JEEP STARTED SHAKING SO BAD IT ALMOST CAUSED ME TO RUN OFF THE ROAD. I COULD ONLY CONTROL IT BY BRING THE JEEP TO A STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF A HIGHWAY, VERY DANGEROUS ! CHECKED WHEEL BALANCE AND SUSPENSION FOR WEAR , WITH FOUND NOTHING. WAS TOLD IT WAS A DESIGN FEATURE OF JEEPS WITH COIL SPRING FRONT AXEL? *TR

THIS FAULTY CLOCKSPRING IS THE CULPRIT FOR POTENTIAL AIRBAG FAILURE IN THE 2008 JEEP WRANGLER (LHD) DURING AN ACCIDENT OR PREMATURE DEPLOYMENT WHEN SIMPLY DRIVING AROUND. DAIMLER CHRYSLER HAS REFUSED TO ADDRESS THE SAFETY CONCERN OF THEIR FAULTY CLOCKSPRING THAT CAN CAUSE FAILURE OF THE VEHICLE'S AIRBAGS FROM PROPERLY DEPLOYING.
AT APPROXIMATELY 51 MPH AND AFTER PASSING OVER A ROUGH SPOT ON THE HIGHWAY SURFACE THE VEHICLE STARTED TO EXTREMELY VIBRATE AND SHIMMY. MAINTAINING CONTROL WAS DIFFICULT AND NECESSITATED AN IMMEDIATE REDUCTION IN SPEED. ON AN APPROXIMATE 50 MILE TRIP THIS WAS REPEATED FOUR TIMES WHILE ON AN INTERSTATE. THIS WAS MUCH MORE VIOLENT THAN A BLOW OUT, TIRE SEPARATION, OR AN UNBALANCED TIRE. THIS MALADY COULD EASILY RESULT IN A FATALITY. I'VE LOGGED APPROXIMATELY 2MILLION MILES DRIVING AND I MUST ADD THIS SITUATION IS VERY SERIOUS. *TR
FUEL TANK OVERFLOWS, SPILLING ALL OVER THE SIDE OF MY VEHICLE, CLOTHING, FEET, SHOES, HAND/ARM, ETC. THIS OCCURS EVER TIME I GO TO FILL UP MY GAS TANK, REGARDLESS OF THE GAS STATION OR PUMP THAT I USE. THESE INCIDENTS ARE BECOMING MORE AND MORE OF A HASSLE BECAUSE I CAN'T GO INTO WORK COVERED IN GASOLINE THEREFORE I'M FORCED TO BE LATE TO MY JOB BECAUSE I HAVE TO GO HOME AND WASH THE GASOLINE OFF AND CHANGE CLOTHES. *TR
WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, I WAS APPROACHING A CORNER AND AS I WENT TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL TO NEGOTIATE THE CORNER MY WHEEL BECAME STUCK AND I NEARLY WENT INTO THE DITCH. I JERKED THE STEERING WHEEL HARD AND HEARD SOME WIRES SNAP. AFTER BRINGING THE VEHICLE TO A STOP I COULD SEE PC RIBBON WIRE HANG OUT OF THE STEERING WHEEL INDICATING BROKEN CLOCK SPRING. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ONE DAY MY AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON,NOTHING HAPPENED TO THE VEHICLE TO WARRANT THIS COMING ON. I TOOK THE JEEP TO MY DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME IT NEED A NEW CLOCKSPRING. UPON RESEARCHING THIS PART I FOUND THAT IT HAS BEEN RECALLED ON 2007 WRANGLERS AND RHD WRANGLERS, HOWEVER MINE HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED YET DESPITE SEVERAL PEOPLE ONLINE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT JEEP IS AWARE OF AND I BELIEVE THEY SHOULD REPLACE THIS PART WITH NO CHARGE. *TR
THE AIRBAG LIGHT TURNS ON AND OFF, INDICATING THAT THERE IS AN INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTION WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. THE PROBLEM IS A SIMPLE PART - THE CLOCK SPRING IN THE STEERING THAT CONNECTS THE AIRBAG TO THE CONTROL MODULE. IF THE SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONS BEFORE OR DURING A CRASH, THE AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY, AND COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. I AM SHOCKED THAT THIS SAFETY ISSUE IS NOT BEING RECOGNIZED OR COVERED BY JEEP! *TR
HIT A SMALL BUMP, LEFT TIRE SHOOK UNCONTROLLABLY, LOSING CONTROL, OVER CURB, HIT POST, DAMAGING FRONT END AND HITTING PASSENGERS HEAD ON WINDSHIELD
AIR BAG LIGHT AND CHIME INTERMITTENTLY ON AND OFF, MOSTLY ON SAFETY ISSUE? RIGHT HAND DRIVE 2008 JEEPS HAVE BEEN RECALLED. LEFT HAND DRIVES NEED TO BE CALLED. *TR
HIT A SMALL BUMP IN THE ROAD WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THIS CAUSED VIOLENT VIBRATIONS IN THE FRONT END THAT WOULDN'T STOP UNTIL I ALMOST STOPPED. IF I HADN'T HAD A GOOD GRIP ON THE WHEEL I WOULD HAVE LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES SINCE AND AT SPEEDS AS LOW AS 55MPH. CHECKED WITH DEALER AND THEY SAID IT WOULD REQUIRE REPLACING ONE PART AT A TIME TILL THE PROBLEM IS CORRECTED. THIS WOULD BE VERY EXPENSIVE AND YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW IF IT WAS FIXED. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AS YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN. TWICE I WAS GOING 70 WITH A TRACTOR TRAILER CLOSE BEHIND. YESTERDAY I WAS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC IN THE MIDDLE LANE GOING 70 WITH A TRACTOR TRAILER BEHIND ME WHEN THE FRONT END STARTED TO VIBRATE AND BOUNCE. I COULDN'T GET OVER SO I HAD TO ALMOST STOP IN THE MIDDLE LANE IN RUSH HOUR ON I-10. THIS PROBLEMIS REFERRED TO AS THE DEATH WOBBLE. IT IS VERY SCARY AND COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT OR EVEN A ROLL OVER IF YOU DON'T HAVE A GOOD GRIP ON THE WHEEL. (VEHICLE IS NOT LIFTED & FRONT END HAD JUST BEEN ALIGNED BEFORE FIRST INCIDENT). *TR
WHILE TRAVELING ON ROUTE 95 AT 65MPH, I HIT A BUMP AND MY FRONT END BEGAN TO VIOLENTLY SHAKE REQUIRING ME TO PULL INTO THE BREAKDOWN LANE AND COME TO A STOP. THIS OCCURRED 2 MORE TIMES AND THE VEHICLE WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL SCARING ME BEYOND BELIEF. THE PHENOMENON IS KNOWN AS "DEATH WOBBLE" BY PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD IT HAPPEN. I HAVE MAINTAINED MY VEHICLE ON A REGULAR BASIS AND THE REALLY CONCERNING PART IS THE NUMBER OF REPORTS ON VARIOUS WEB FORUMS. THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN AND THE UNSUSPECTING DRIVER CAN LOSE CONTROL AND CRASH VERY EASILY. IF YOU NEED ANY FURTHER INFORMATION, PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO CALL ME. THANKS *TR
AROUND A MONTH AND A HALF AGO, THE AIRBAG LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON AND OFF RANDOMLY IN MY JEEP. AFTER DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEM, I FOUND OUT IT WAS THE CLOCK SPRING FAILING. WHENEVER THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS LIT UP ON MY DASH, THERE IS A STRONG POSSIBILITY THAT THE AIRBAG WILL NOT GO OFF IF I GET INTO AN ACCIDENT OR THAT THE AIRBAG WILL RANDOMLY DEPLOY AS I AM DRIVING FOR NO REASON. I HAVE DISCUSSED WITH JEEP ABOUT GETTING THIS ISSUE FIXED BUT THEY REFUSE TO DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE THAT MUST BE FIXED. *TR
I WAS PROCEEDING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 50 MPH AND HIT A SLIGHT BUMP IN THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY. I HAD A VERY DIFFICULT TIME KEEPING CONTROL AND PULLING TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. I STARTED OUT AGAIN AND IT HAPPENED 3 MORE TIMES IN A TEN MILE SPAN. EACH TIME, IT BEGAN WITH A VERY SLIGHT UNEVEN ROADWAY AND WOULD NOT STOP UNTIL I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A STOP.
BOUGHT A 2008 JEEP WRANGLER X FROM BROOKFIELD CHRYSLER IN BENTON HARBOR MICHIGAN IN FEBRUARY. AFTER TWO WEEKS I BROUGHT IT BACK BECAUSE OF EXTREME AND UNSAFE TIRE WEAR DUE TO A DAMAGED FRONT AXLE. THEY REPLACED THE AXLE AND FRONT TIRES. THE VERY SAME DAY IT STARTED THE INFAMOUS DEATH WOBBLE. I WOULD BE ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH (OR ANYTHING ABOVE 20), AND HIT A BUMP, AND THE FRONT END WOULD START SHAKING UNCONTROLLABLY. I COULD LOOK OUT THE WINDOW AND SEE THE TIRES MOVING BACK AND FORTH EXTREMELY. THIS RESULTED IN ME LOSING CONTROL AND RUNNING OFF THE HIGHWAY INTO A DITCH. *TR
AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON, CHECKED CONNECTIONS UNDER PASSENGER SEAT LIGHT REMAINED ON. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS IS A RESULT OF A BAD CLOCK SPRING. *TR
THE TRANSMISSION JUMPS OUT OF FIRST GEAR WHEN ACCELERATING. IF MANUALLY HELD INTO FIRST GEAR WITH SOME PRESSURE, IT DOES NOT JUMP OUT. *TR
ON APPROXIMATELY 01/21/13 AT ABOUT 8:00AM, WHILE TRAVELING ON THE 405 FREEWAY AT ABOUT 50MPH, MY JEEP GOT THE "DEATH WOBBLES". IT WAS FOUND THE ENTIRE FRONT HOUSING SNAPPED OFF. IT WAS FIXED AND RETURNED TO ME. ON 02/11/13 AT ABOUT 10:30AM, I WAS MERGING ON TO THE I-5 N/B FROM SAND CANYON IN IRVINE. WHEN I REACHED 45MPH, I GOT THE "DEATH WOBBLES" AGAIN. THIS TIME, THE DEALER SAID IT WAS BECAUSE I HAD CHEAP TIRES ON THE VEHICLE. I HAVE NITTO TIRES WHICH ARE ABOUT $250 EACH. I HAVE LOOKED INTO THE DEATH WOBBLES AND IT APPEARS JEEP HAS A REAL PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE SHAKES SO VIOLENTLY YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE LOSING CONTROL. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET KILLED AND JEEP KNOWS IT. I HAVE HAD MY VEHICLE IN TWICE NOW FOR THE SAME THING. ONCE MORE AND I AM GOING LEMON LAW. IF THEY GIVE IT BACK AND MY FAMILY IS INJURED AS A RESULT OF A KNOWN FLAW. STAND BY! THIS IS CRAP. YOU CANNOT KNOWINGLY SELL A DEFECTIVE VEHICLE CAN YOU? SEEMS LIKE IT WOULD BE CRIMINAL TO DEFRAUD OR FAIL TO DISCLOSE THIS DEATH WOBBLE ISSUE TO BUYERS. I DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS UNTIL IT HAPPENED TO ME. *TR
2008 JEEP WRANGLER. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE "DEATH WOBBLE" AND CONSUMER ALSO SEEKS REIMBURSEMENT. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE INCIDENT HAPPENED ON A BACK ROAD. THERE WAS A MINUTE WHERE THE CAR WAS COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTROL. THE CONSUMER STATED HE WAS DRIVING 45 MPH AND HAD NOT GONE OVER ANY BUMPS. THE CONSUMER IMMEDIATELY TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, WHERE THEY REPLACED A LEAKING STEERING DAMPER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS, FLUID, HORN OPERATED WORK RANDOMLY. THE ENGINE FAN OPERATED AND ALL FOUR DOORS LOCKED CONTINUOUSLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TOTAL INTEGRATED POWER MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,200. UPDATED 12/03/15*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE HEATER/FAN WORKS RANDOMLY. *TR
EVERYTHING IS NORMAL AND WORKING, YOU TRY TO START THE CAR AND THERE IS A CLICK THEN NOTHING. I THEN MOVE THE SHIFTER TO NEUTRAL AND START THE CAR THEN MOVE SHIFTER BACK TO PARK. THERE ARE NO CODES BEING REGISTERED IF YOU PLUG IN A DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE AND I'VE HAD SEVERAL COMPETENT MECHANICS CHECK IT OUT TO NO AVAIL. THIS IS HAPPENING .TO MANY OTHER PEOPLE AND ISN'T AN ISOLATED INCIDENT, WHICH IS WHY I'M REPORTING IT. IT APPEARS TO BE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE, A GROUNDING ISSUE TO BE SPECIFIC. *TR
AIRBAG ALARM KEEP GETTING TRIGGERED. *TR
WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED, THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS OF THE JEEP STARTED GOING CRAZY. WINDSHIELD WIPERS INTERMITTENTLY TURNED ON (SUNNY AND DRY AT TIME), WASHER FLUID STARTED SPRAYING CONTINUOUSLY, HORN HONED REPEATEDLY AT A LOW TONE, DOOR LOCKS LOCKED/UNLOCKED REPEATEDLY AND AC SYSTEM TURNED OF. STOPPED VEHICLE AT HIGHWAY SHOULDER AND THIS CONTINUED EVEN WHEN ENGINE TURNED OFF. DISCONNECTED BATTERY. WAITED 1 MINUTE, RECONNECTED BATTERY, AND EVERYTHING SEEMED FINE. DROVE ANOTHER 5 MINUTES AND SAME SYMPTOMS STARTED AGAIN AND LASTED UNTIL I REACHED A GAS STATION. POWER WASHER FLUID COMPLETELY DRAINED. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS IS THE TPIM OF THE JEEP WRANGLER CAUSING THIS PROBLEM. NOT SURE IF IT IS LINKED TO A START/STOP CONDITION THE VEHICLE HAS- TURN OVER KEY IN IGNITION AND ALL POWER IS ON BUT ENGINE WILL NOT CRANK. DISENGAGE KEY, TRY AGAIN, SOMETIMES WILL START, SOMETIMES WILL TAKE A THIRD OR FOURTH TIME. HAVE BROUGHT THIS TO THE ATTENTION OF THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AT IN MARCH 2008. THEY CANNOT DETERMINE A CAUSE. BROUGHT TO A INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. HE INDICATED THIS WOULD BE A TPIM MALFUNCTION AND SHOULD BE REPLACED. 2007 JEEP WRANGLERS HAD A RECALL FOR THE TPIM FAILURE. I SEE THERE IS LITIGATION ONGOING FOR OTHER CHRYSLER PRODUCTS WITH TPIM ISSUES. 2008 JEEP WRANGLERS APPEAR TO HAVE FAR AND AWAY MORE ISSUES THAN OTHER NEW JK JEEP WRANGLERS... *TR
EVERY TIME I FILL UP MY GASOLINE TANK IT OVERFLOWS. SPITS BACK AND GETS GAS ALL OVER, DOWN THE SIDE OF MY JEEP, ON ME, AND THE GROUND. ITS DANGEROUS AND SMELLS AWFUL WHEN IT GETS ON CLOTHES OR WHEN I HAVE TO PUT THE CAP BACK ON AND ITS COVERED IN GASOLINE. VERY FRUSTRATING PROBLEM TO HAVE. *TR

CLOCK SPRING FAILURE IN MY 2008 LHD JEEP WRANGLER HAS CAUSED MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS TO RANDOMLY TURN ON, MY TURN SIGNALS AND HEADLIGHTS TO ONLY FUNCTION INTERMITTENTLY, AND MY GAUGE CLUSTER FLICKERS WHEN ANY OF THE ABOVE TRIGGER. *TR
AT 65 MPH AFTER HITTING A COUPLE OF NORMAL BUMPS WHERE BRIDGE SURFACE MEETS THE INTERSTATE, THE FRONT END SHOOK SO VIOLENTLY THAT IT FELT LIKE BODY WOULD SEPARATE FROM THE FRAME. THIS IS NO SUBTLE "SHIMMY OR VIBRATION" IT MAKES YOU JUMP ON THE BRAKES AND HOPE THAT THE 18 WHEELER BEHIND YOU DOES NOT RUN OVER YOU. I THINK THE CENTER LANE COULD BE DEADLY WHEN IT OCCURS, BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT FIND THE BERM FAST ENOUGH. IT GOES AWAY UNTIL THE NEXT TIME. HAD STEERING STABILIZER UP SIZED, BUT TO NO AVAIL. IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE ON HIGHWAY SINCE FIRST INCIDENT. IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME UNTIL WE HEAR ABOUT FATALITIES. I AM LOOKING INTO LARGER SHOCK ABSORBERS AS MY MECHANIC SAYS THEY ARE PROBABLY UNDER SIZED FOR THE TIRES. I AM GRATEFUL MY DAUGHTER WAS NOT DRIVING IT AT THE TIME. I HAVE A 2008 JEEP WRANGLER SAHARA UNLIMITED WITH 50,000 MILES AND PURCHASED NEW. I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING "DEATH WOBBLE" OR AN UNCONTROLLABLE SHAKING IN THE FRONT END OF MY VEHICLE INTERMITTENTLY BUT GENERALLY AT SPEEDS OF 40 MPH AND HIGHER. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MY MECHANIC WHO INSPECTED THE FRONT END, TIRES, BRAKES AND ALIGNMENT WHICH ALL WERE FINE. I LATER WENT TO THE JEEP DEALERSHIP SERVICE CENTER WHO SAID I HAD "DEATH WOBBLE" BUT COULD NOT GIVE ME A DEFINITIVE CAUSE OR COST TO REPAIR. CALLED DEALERSHIP & SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. WAS VERY CAREFUL & ONLY DROVE HOME & THEN TO DEALERSHIP BEING VERY CAREFUL. ADJACENT GASOLINE TANK SKID PLATE WAS NOT EVEN MARKED. UNFORTUNATELY, SKID PLATE DOES NOT COVER CANISTER. NEW VEHICLES INCLUDE A SKID PLATE FOR THE CANISTER. NO DOUBT WOULD HAVE BEEN A FIRE IF EXHAUST HAD BEEN HOT! *TR

FOR THE PAST 2-3 YEARS I KEEP HEARING TICKING FROM MY ENGINE. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, THEY SAID ITS NOTHING. I REPLACED THE SPARK PLUGS AND CABLES THINKING THAT IT WAS THE CAUSE OF THE TICKING NOISE. I ALSO CHANGED THE EXHAUST, BUT THE TICKING KEPT ON GOING. THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT FLASHES ON EVERY OTHER MINUTE WITH A CHIME, AN INDICATION THAT THERE IS SOMETHING MALFUNCTIONING OR INTERFERING WITH THE VEHICLE'S AIRBAGS. THIS HAS BEEN A RECURRING ISSUE AND CONCERN FOR MANY 2008 JEEP WRANGLER (LHD) OWNERS, INCLUDING MYSELF, AND HAS BEEN SHOWN TIME AND TIME AGAIN TO BE CAUSED BY A FAULTY CLOCKSPRING WITHIN THE VEHICLE'S STEERING WHEEL. THIS FAULTY CLOCKSPRING IS THE CULPRIT FOR POTENTIAL AIRBAG FAILURE IN THE 2008 JEEP WRANGLER (LHD) DURING AN ACCIDENT OR PREMATURE DEPLOYMENT WHEN SIMPLY DRIVING AROUND. *TR
I STARTED MY 2008 JEEP WRANGLER JK AND IMMEDIATELY GOT A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WITH AN AUDIBLE SOUND. THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING VERY ROUGH AND SHAKING. I TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AND IT SEEMED FINE BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON. I HAVE A OBD2 DIAGNOSTIC CODE READER AND IT SHOWED THE CODE P0306. THIS IS A MISFIRE ON THE NUMBER SIX CYLINDER. I TOOK IT TO LARRY H. MILLER CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM DEALERSHIP IN ALBUQUERQUE AND THIS IS WHAT WAS DONE. "WI TECH DIAGNOSTICS FOR FAULT CODES, HAD STORE CODES FOR INJECTOR #6 CIRCUIT, NO WORK DONE, OPERATING AS PER DESIGN". I ASKED WHAT CAN BE DONE TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND [XXX] SAID THAT THE TECH COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM SO THEY COULD NOT FIX ANYTHING. [XXX] OFFERED TO PERFORM A FUEL INJECTOR CLEANING BUT THIS WAS THE ONLY OPTIONS FOR NOW. THE NEXT DAY I STARTED THE JEEP AND HAD THE SAME ISSUE. I LOOKED UP THIS CODE 0306 ON THE JEEP JK SITE AND READ POSTS OF "PENTASTAR PROBLEM". IN ALL CASES THESE PEOPLE HAD TO VISIT THE DEALERSHIP 4 TO 5 TIMES UNTIL THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM. THIS LIGHT INDICATES THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE AIRBAG AND THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED AS A CLOCK SPRING ISSUE. THIS HAS BEEN A RECURRING ISSUE WITH 2008 JKS (LHD), AND POTENTIALLY CAN LEAD TO AIRBAG FAILURE IN THE CASE OF A CRASH. CHRYSLER HAS REFUSED TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE WITH 2008 LHD WRANGLERS EVEN THOUGH IT IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. *TR
WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, THE HORN, FRONT WIPERS, WASHERS, REAR WIPERS, AND REVERSE LIGHTS ALL CAME ON WITHOUT WARNING. PULLED TO SIDE OF ROAD AND TURNED OFF CAR BUT ENGINE DID NOT TURN OFF. OPENED HOOD AND HIT TOP OF T.I.P.M. (TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE). HORN, WIPERS, WASHERS, AND ENGINE STOPPED. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH 2007-2009 WRANGLERS THAT JEEP FAILS TO ACCEPT. IT IS UNSAFE BECAUSE YOU CANNOT STOP THE ENGINE OR SEE WHERE YOU ARE GOING WHEN THE WASHER FLUID STARTS RUNNING. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME IN 2 YEARS THIS HAS DONE THIS. *TR

THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURE WERE BOTH MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
