AFTER HAVING THE CHRYSLER JEEP MOPAR PERFORMANCE PART# 77072353AB_FS INSTALLED BY A JEEP DEALER, THERE IS A SERIOUS ISSUE THAT I HAVE DISCOVERED. WITH JEEP VEHICLES THAT HAVE BEEN LIFTED USING THE OEM MOPAR 'JEEP PERFORMANCE PARTS' 4" LIFT KIT PRODUCT, WHEREBY FOLLOWING 'JEEP DEALER PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION' AND IN CERTAIN DRIVING SCENARIOS, THE REAR PROPELLER SHAFT COMES INTO DIRECT CONTACT WITH BOTH THE VEHICLE'S EVAP TANK ON DRIVER-SIDE AND FUEL TANK ON PASSENGER-SIDE UNDER CERTAIN RAISED FRONT INDEPENDENT RIGHT OR LEFT WHEEL ARTICULATION SCENARIOS AND I HAVE PERSONALLY INCURRED DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLES OEM PROPELLER SHAFT AND BOOT SLEEVE AND THE ADJACENT EVAP TANK AND FUEL TANK ITEMS FROM THE OEM PROPELLER SHAFT MAKING DIRECT CONTACT WITH BOTH THE EVAP AND FUEL TANKS UNDER THE VEHICLE. THIS 4" LIFT KIT IS A MOPAR SOLD AND JEEP DEALER INSTALLED PRODUCT AND THEY REFUSE TO REIMBURSE ME FOR REPLACING THE OEM REAR PROPELLER SHAFT WITH AN AFTER MARKET REAR DRIVE SHAFT THAT THEY RECOMMENDED AND INSTALLED THAT MITIGATES THE ISSUE OF ARTICULATION CONTACT OF THEIR OEM PROPELLER (WHICH IS LARGER IN DIAMETER THAN THE ALTERNATIVE SHAFT REPLACEMENT THEY SUBSEQUENTLY INSTALLED). I HAVE DOCUMENTED PICTURES AND VIDEOS OF THE OEM DRIVE SHAFT HITTING THE ADJACENT ITEMS UNDER THE VEHICLE WHICH I ALSO PROVIDED TO THE JEEP DEALER IN MY CITY OF RESIDENCE. HOWEVER, DEALER SAID THAT UNLESS THEY HAVE A SAFETY RECALL OR SOMETHING ELSE FROM CHRYSLER INDICATING THIS AS A SAFETY ISSUE THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT FOR ME... FOR SOME UNLUCKY PEOPLE, THE GAS TANK RUPTURING AND CATCHING FIRE WILL BE THE ONLY EVENT THAT MAKES THEM AWARE THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT CHRYSLER, JEEP, MOPAR HAVE NOT PREVIOUSLY REALIZED NOR ADDRESSED...
2015 WRANGLER SAHARA ENGINE FIRE I HAVE JUST PURCHASED 10 DAYS AGO A CERTIFIED 2015 WRANGLER SAHARA CERTIFIED PRE OWNED FROM AVONDALE DODGE IN PHOENIX AZ. IT WAS A GORGEOUS HARDTOP GREY, WITH 30" TIRES, MAGS AND AN LED LIGHT BAR. I HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR 3 MONTHS AND FINALLY FOUND MY DREAM WRANGLER. STILL WITH A TEMP PLATE AND ONE TANK OF GAS IN IT THE ENGINE CAUGHT FIRE SITTING IDLE AT MY WORK. I HAD LITERALLY DROVE FROM THE DEALER HOW IT HAPPENED. I HAD GONE FOR LUNCH WITH CO WORKERS AND PARKED IN COVERED PARKING AT MY OFFICE IN PHOENIX. THERE WAS NO FOUL SMELLS AND THE VEHICLES PERFORMANCE WAS NORMAL. I WAS NOTIFIED BY THE FACILITIES MANAGERS 2 HOURS LATER WHILE IN A MEETING THAT FELLOW EMPLOYEES SAW IT SMOLDERING THROUGH THE GRILL AND PHONED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. WHEN I GOT OUTSIDE THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS COMPLETELY CHARRED. *BF *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTED RANDOMLY WITHOUT WARNING AND THEN AUTOMATICALLY RETURNED TO NORMAL. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL OTHER TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER (KENDALL DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM LOCATED AT 13355 SW 137TH AVE, MIAMI, FL 33186; (786) 231-2120) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE DEALER REFERRED THE CONTACT TO ANOTHER DEALER (DADELAND DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM LOCATED AT 16501 S DIXIE HWY, MIAMI, FL 33157; (305) 278-9994). THE CONTACT WAS PLACED ON A WAITING LIST AND HAD TO WAIT FOR TWO AND A HALF MONTHS TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER DEALER (PLANET DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM LOCATED AT 9975 NW 12TH ST, MIAMI, FL 33172; (305) 470-8000) AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT HE NEEDED TO WAIT SIX MONTHS TO GET THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 800-334-9200 AND STATED THAT THERE WAS A DEALER WHO COULD DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE ON JULY 10, 2017. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOST ACCELERATION AND STALLED. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, DEPRESSED THE CLUTCH, AND TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE. ONCE RESTARTED, THE VEHICLE OPERATED NORMALLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED APPROXIMATELY TEN TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FURMANN CHRYSLER/JEEP IN NEW PORT RICHEY, FLORIDA, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: 31754410. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 31,000.
RADIATOR IS LEAKING COOLANT. I HAVE ADDED 2 GALLONS OVER THE LAST YEAR. I SHOULD NOT BE LEAKING COOLANT.
MY 2015 JEEP WRANGLER SAHARA UNLIMITED HAS DEVELOPED THE "DEATH WOBBLE" AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. IT WILL BEGIN TO VIOLENTLY SHAKE AFTER HITTING ANY SMALL BUMP ON THE ROADWAY AT SPEEDS RANGING FROM 50 MPH TO 70 MPH*. SHAKING IS SO BAD THAT I HAVE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AS FAST AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE ITS VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL WHILE IT SHAKES. * I ONLY SAID AT SPEEDS UP TO 70 MPH BECAUSE THAT'S THE FASTEST SPEED LIMIT WHERE I LIVE. I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT IT WILL DO IT MORE VIOLENTLY AT HIGHER SPEEDS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY FAILED TWICE. THE FIRST FAILURE OCCURRED AT 7,000 MILES IN THE LEFT LANE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND THE SECOND TIME OCCURRED AT 13,900 MILES. THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER THE RAILROAD TRACKS BY TEN FEET AND WAS ABOVE THE TRACK WHEN THE CLUTCH FAILED TO SHIFT AND MANEUVER PROPERLY. THE CONTACT HAD TO SWIFTLY GET THE VEHICLE OVER THE RAILROAD TRACKS. EAST HILLS CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM SRT (2300 NORTHERN BLVD, GREENVALE, NY 11548, 516-621-9191) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INDICATED THAT DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WAS NEEDED TO DETERMINE IF THE PRESSURE PLATE OR CLUTCH SPRING WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. TSB NUMBER: 06-001-15 WAS MENTIONED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED TWICE BEFORE BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,721.
OIL LEAK FROM TOP OF ENGINE. APPEARS TO BE FROM OIL FILL ADAPTER OR FROM INSIDE THE LIFTER VALLEY. I SMELL OIL, I'M CONCERNED THAT IT COULD CATCH FIRE? THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 34,000 MILES ON IT.
VEHICLE ENGINE SHUTS DOWN UNEXPECTEDLY AT HIGHWAY AND LOW SPEEDS. DIFFICULT TO RESTART. DIFFICULT TO PUT IN GEAR. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN ENGINE SHUT DOWN.
TRACTION CONTROL FEATURE JUST COMES ON SUDDENLY WHILE DRIVER FORWARD OR TUNING A CORNER AT RANDOM TIMES CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SLOW DOWN IMMENSELY FOR NO REASON. MAY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IF NOT CORRECTED. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON DRY PAVEMENT MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WITHOUT WARNING OR REASON.
I HAVE A 2015 JEEP RUBICON PURCHASED NEW FROM DEALER WITH OEM PARTS INCLUDING FACTORY TIRES. IT WAS ALWAYS A HARDER DRIVE BUT AFTER HITTING 14000 MILES THE TIRES STARTED THUMPING AROUND 40 MILES AN HOUR AND CONTINUED TO GET WORSE, ALONG WITH WOBBLING, SHAKING AND SLIPPING OVER BUMPS. I WAS TOLD THE TIRES NEEDED TO BE ROTATED EVERY 5000 MILES. I HAD THEM ROTATED BUT IT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. I TOOK IT IN AGAIN AS WELL AS TO A LOCAL MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC SAID IT WAS THE TIRES BUT THERE WAS ALSO SOME ISSUES WITH THE BEARINGS. ALL THIS AT 14000 MILES. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR A VEHICLE LESS THAN A YEAR OLD AND A PRICE TAG OF 42,000 DOLLARS. EVEN THOUGH THE TIRES HAD A LIFETIME WARRANTY THE UNEVEN TREAD AND WEAR WAS NOT COVERED. I ENDED UP HAVING A TO BUY A NEW TIRE AND TAKE THE SPARE SO THAT THE FRONT TIRES WITH THE MOST UNEVEN TREAD WERE REPLACED, AT MY EXPENSE. AFTER I WAS TOLD IF I KEEP THE TIRES ROTATED EVERYTIME I GET AN OIL CHANGE I WOULD BE FINE. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. EVERY TIME I WENT OVER A BUMPY AREA ON THE FREEWAY I WOULD LOSE TRACTION AND WOBBLE. THE ISSUE HAS BEEN CONSTANT AND THE SHAKING AND WOBBLING HAS GOTTEN SO BAD I CANT DRIVE MY JEEP WITHOUT IT TURNING MILK INTO CREAM. I TOOK IT IN FOR MAINTENANCE AT THE JEEP DEALERSHIP, HAD THE TIRES ROTATED AND IT WAS WORSE THAN BEFORE. I TOOK IT BACK, EXPLAINED IN DETAIL AND WAS TOLD LOTS OF CUSTOMERS HAVE EXPRESSED THE SAME ISSUE BUT THAT THE JEEP RUBICON IS NOT MEANT FOR FREEWAY DRIVING THE TIRES ARE FOR MUD, THAT I SHOULD GET NEW TIRES AND JUST DEAL WITH IT, OR SELL IT. IS THAT AN ACCEPTABLE WAY TO STAND BEHIND A PRODUCT? OR AN ACCEPTABLE WAY TO TREAT YOUR CUSTOMER? THE VEHICLE HAS A DEFECT. TIRES THAT COME WITH A 50,000 MILE WARRANTY SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN 14000. SHAKING, WOBBLING, AND VIBRATING AND UNEVEN TIRE TREAD IN A VEHICLE IS NOT NORMAL. THE VEHICLE IS A LEMON AND A BUYBACK SHOULD BE IN EFFECT.
AT 34,000 MILES I STARTED TO EXPERIENCE A ROTATIONAL VIBRATION IN THE FRONT END OF MY VEHICLE AND THE DRIVERS FRONT SUSPENSION STARTED TO GET LOUDER OVER A COUPLE WEEKS SO I TOOK THE CAR TO A DEALERSHIP, THEY DIAGNOSED IT AS THE BALL JOINTS WERE WORN AND THEY SAID IT WAS STILL LOUD DUE TO TIRES AGE (WHICH WERE ROTATED WITH EVERY OIL CHANGE AT APPROX 4,000 MILES). THE TIRES WERE NOT WORN DUE TO AGE BUT INSTEAD CUPPED DUE TO DAMAGED SUSPENSION COMPONENT, THE DEALERSHIP THAT I HAD THE VEHICLE SERVICED AT ON 12/15/2016 AT 32,534 MILES FOUND THE TREAD DEPTH TO BE AT 8/32 OR GREATER. I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN A FEW DAYS LATER BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP THAT DID THE REPAIR AND THEY FOUND THE TREAD DEPTH TO BE AT 9/32.
WE HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE POWERTRAIN AS IN AN EARLIER REPORT WE SENT IN WHERE THE JEEP WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WILL SHAKE AND RATTLE VIOLENTLY AND WE HAVE TO PULL OVER WAIT A MINUTE AND PUT IT INTO PARK THEN DRIVE TO CONTINUE. IT HAS HAPPENED 2 TIMES. NOW TO ADD TO THE LIST THIS WEEKEND WHEN WE TRIED TO DRIVE THE JEEP WE PUT THE GEAR INTO D TO DRIVE FORWARD AND THE JEEP WENT BACKWARDS INSTEAD. WE HAD TO PUT THE SELECTOR INTO PARK AND BACK TO DRIVE 3 TIMES BEFORE THE VEHICLE WOULD GO FORWARD. THIS LATEST INCIDENT WE WERE PARKED AT HOME ON PAVEMENT WITH NO INCLINE. TRIED CALLING THE DEALER BUT WITH IT BEING A WEEKEND GOT NO RESPONSE. DID CALL THE JEEP HOTLINE AND WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT TO A DEALER ON MONDAY. CALLED THE DEALER AND ON MONDAY AND WAS TOLD TO BRING IT IN ON TUESDAY. THE VEHICLE HAS 29K MILES AND HAS BEEN ACTING UP SINCE AROUND 15K. CALLED THE DEALER TODAY AND WAS TOLD STILL DO NOT KNOW WHY IT IS DOING WHAT IT IS DOING. *TR
I OWN A 2015 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED 4 DOOR 4X4 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. INTERMITTENT LOSS OF POWER AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON.. . I WROTE UP A REPORT A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO--BUT I UNDERSTAND THE ISSUE BETTER NOW...SO, MY JEEP BASICALLY CONKS OUT--OFTEN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS...AND RE-STARTS IN ABOUT 1 SECOND...AT LEAST IT FEELS LIKE IT CONKS OUT--ALL OF THE DASH LIGHTS COME ON AS THEY DO WHEN I FIRST START THE JEEP...BUT THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT STAYS ON--DOES NOT BLINK AND IT HAS REMAINED ON SINCE THEN...ALSO THE CRUISE CONTROL WILL NOT TURN ON...I HAVE CHECKED THE FUSES...AND I HAVE RUN AN OBDII DIAGNOSTIC--THE FUSES ARE FINE AND THE DIAGNOSTIC FINDS NOTHING WRONG I HAVE READ THAT THIS ISSUE IS OCCURING FREQUENTLY ON JEEP RENEGADE AND DEALERSHIP SAYS NOTHING IS WRONG. THIS OCCURS WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, ON STREETS AND ON HIGHWAYS...WHILE GOING STRAIGHT AND WHILE TURNING...
VEHICLE, IN MOTION, ON HIGHWAYS, AND STREETS, SHUTS OFF. THE LIGHTS GO OUT, SOMETIMES THE RADIO TURNS OFF, THE STEERING GOES OUT, THE GAUGES FALL TO ZERO...THEN, THE BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON, AND THE ENGINE BEGINS OPERATING AS USUAL. IT FEELS AS THOUGH SOMEONE HAS TURNED OFF THE KEY AND THEN TURNED THE KEY BACK ON.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FERMAN CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM IN PORT RICHEY, FLORIDA 34652, PHONE: 727-847-5555 SEVERAL TIMES FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE COMPUTER SYSTEM, RADIO MODULE, THROTTLE BODY, AND FUEL COIL PACKS WERE REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO STALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000.
AT 11600 MILES, THE FRONT TIRES ON THE VEHICLE ARE SEVERELY CUPPED AND CHOPPED ON THE INSIDE DRIVING SURFACE. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD POOR HANDLING SINCE DELIVERY. AT 2400 MILES, THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED FOR POOR HANDLING, WANDERING, TIRE OSCILLATION AT HIGHWAY SPEED. THE DEALER DID "STEERING REPAIRS" AND RETURNED THE VEHICLE. AT 11500 MILES THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER FOR IDENTICAL HANDLING AND STEERING PROBLEMS. THE DEALER REPORTED THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH THE SUSPENSION AND ROTATED THE TIRES. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED, AND DRIVEN AT 30+ MILES PER HOUR, THERE WAS A TERRIBLE HOWL COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE, AND THE STEERING PROBLEMS PERSISTED. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER, THE TIRE DAMAGE WAS REVEALED TO THE OWNER, AND THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THESE PARTICULAR TIRES NEED TO BE ROTATED EVERY 2500 MILES OR THIS DAMAGE WILL OCCUR. THE DEALER, AND CHRYSLER, REFUSED TO REPLACE THE TIRES, STATED THE STEERING WAS FINE, AND SAID THE TIRES NEED TO BE ROTATED AS STATED ABOVE. THE TIRES ARE BF GOODRICH MUD TERRAIN TIRES, WHICH CAME FROM THE FACTORY. THE UNSAFE STEERING REMAINS UNREPAIRED, THE TWO TIRES ARE RUINED AT 11000 MILES, AND CHRYSLER AND THE DEALER HAVE REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING FURTHER TO REMEDY THE SITUATION OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED AS A STEERING/SUSPENSION DEFECT, WHICH THE COMPANY IS UNWILLING TO REMEDY, OR EVEN REPLACE RUINED TIRES. THE COMPANIES ONLY REMEDY IS TO MANDATE A RIDICULOUS ROTATION SCHEDULE FOR THE TIRES. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS. *TR
I WAS LUCKY I WAS PARKING THE JEEP WHEN THE SECTOR SHAFT BROKE AND THE STEERING GEAR LINK FELL OFF. UNDER OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES THIS COULD HAVE ENDED IN A MAJOR ACCIDENT. AND IF A DEADLY ACCIDENT OCCURRED, THE INSPECTION REPORT MOST LIKELY WOULD HAVE BLAMED THE COLLISION FOR THE BROKEN SHAFT AND CHRYSLER WOULD HAVE BEEN EXONERATED OF ANY RESPONSIBILTY. MY JEEP HAPPENED TO BE A DEADLY TRAP BECAUSE OF POOR MATERIALS USED IN THE MANUFACTURE OF THE VEHICLE. WHERE IS THE LIABILITY, AND ACCOUNTABILITY OF JEEP? NOTHING! THEY WON'T EVEN PAY FOR THE DAMNED SHAFT TO BE REPLACED. JEEP WILL CERTAINLY IGNORE THIS EVENT AND IF FORCED TO RESPOND THEY WILL PROBABLY BLAME ME FOR ABUSING THE DAMNED JEEP WHICH, BY THE WAY, I TREAT LIKE MY PET. I AM SO ANGRY BUT IF I EXPRESS HOW I REALLY FEEL, THE COMPLAINT WILL NOT BE POSTED. BE CAREFUL FOLKS, YOU MAY LOSE CONTROL OF YOUR JEEP ANYTIME FOR NO FAULT OF YOUR OWN, AND YOU MAY GET KILLED AND KILL SOMEBODY ELSE BECAUSE JEEP IS FOCUSED IN MAKING PROFITS INSTEAD OF MAKING SAFE VEHICLES. 2015 WRANGLER JKU SPORADIC STALLING ON BOTH HIGHWAY AND RESIDENTIAL STREETS. WAS RECENTLY SERVICED FOR OIL CHANGE AND SOFTWARE UPDATE. ALSO STALLED WHILE JEEP WAS IDOL FOR 20 MINUTES BUT ABLE TO RESTART IT. WHEN IT STALLED...INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS UP AND JEEP STALLS. CAN RESTART IN HOUR WITH CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. DEALER NOT ABLE TO REPRODUCE STALLING AFTER TESTING FOR 10 MILES. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES. DROPPED OFF AT DEALER AGAIN THIS MORNING.
AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS WE NOTICED WATER ALL ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AFTER RAINING. I ASKED THE SALESMAN ABOUT THE LEAKS AND HE STATED ALL JEEPS DO THAT. .CARPETS CONTINUED TO GET SOAKED AND CANNOT SEE WHERE IT IS LEAKING SO I ASKED THE MAINTENANCE TECH AFTER OUR FIRST OIL CHANGE AND I WAS TOLD TO PULL THE PLUG UNDER THE CARPET AND DRAIN THE WATER..I AGAIN WAS TOLD IT WAS NORMAL FOR A JEEP TO LEAK..APPROX MARCH 2016 THE WIFE WAS FED UP WITH THE WATER POURING IN AND THE SMELL OF MILDEW OF THE CARPET DUE TO LEAKAGE. SHE WENT TO THE DEALER AND COMPLAINED . SHE WAS TOLD WE HAD TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WHICH WOULD BE BEYOND A MONTH AND THEY WOULD KEEP IT FOR A SPELL . NO RENTAL OR LOANER...I WORK OUT OF TOWN AND GETTING IT IN ON APPOINTMENT IS NOT ALWAYS FEASABLE BEING MY WIFE IS ON DISABILITY AND NEEDS A VEHICLE. SINCE THEN THE PASSENGER SEATBELT HAS STUCK ON NUMEROUS OCCASION AND CANNOT BE OPERATED PROPERLY.THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE LATCH STICKING AND NOT RELEASING. MY WIFE MENTIONED TO ME SINCE SHE DRIVES IT MORE THAN ME, THAT IT PULLS AND HAS BEEN FOR A LONG TIME. WHEN I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM CHRYSLER AROUND OCT 15TH I SENT IN NEGATIVE WORDS OF ALL THESE ISSUES AND WHEN I GOT A CALL ABOUT THESE ISSUES I RECEIVED A CALL FROM BONNIE A CASE MANAGER AND WE TALKED. SHE SAID TO GET IT TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS AND IF I HAD ANY OTHER ISSUESTO CALL HER BACK AND GAVE ME A CASE NUMBER. I CONTACTED THE DEALER BUT NO REPAIRS YET. THEY SAY WAIT FOR APPOINTMENT. I DID GO TO THE RECALL WEBSITE AND NOTICED OTHERS HAVING A WEATHER ISSUE, A FEW SEATBELTS AND ALSO THE SO CALLED DEATH WOBBLE. I ASKED THE WIFE FOR THE FULL SYMPTOMS AND TO MY SURPRISE IT IS THE KNOWN DEATH WOBBLE.SHE SAID IT WILL SHAKE VIOLANTLY AFTER 60MPH AND THEN JUMP OUT OF GEAR , POP INTO NUETRAL. HAS HAPPENED SHE SAID 3 TIMES THIS YEAR. JEEP HAS NEVER BEEN OFFROAD AND TOP HAS NEVER BEEN OFF..
TWO WEEKS AGO THE JEEP FAILED TO SHIFT OUT OF GEAR ON THE HIGHWAY WHILE DRIVING TO WORK. PRIOR TO THIS IT WAS NOT DISPLAYING ANY ISSUES. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO A STOP IN THE BREAKDOWN LANE AND CALLED FOR A TOW BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. LATER THAT DAY I RECEIVED A CALL FROM A SERVICE MANAGER, ROGER THAT THE CLUTCH WAS WORN OUT AND REQUIRED REPLACEMENT. I WAS SHOCKED THAT A VEHICLE THAT IS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD WITH LESS THAT 18K MILES WOULD NEED A CLUTCH SINCE ABOUT ALL I DO WITH IT IS DRIVE TO WORK. HE EXPLAINED THAT THIS IS A WEAR PART AND NOT UNDER THE WARRANTEE SINCE I WAS OVER 12K MILES. LATER THE NEXT DAY THEY CALLED ME DOWN TO THE DEALERSHIP TO EXAMINE THE FULL EXTENT OF THE DAMAGE. THE CLUTCH JUST DIDN'T WEAR IT SHREDDED ITSELF APART CAUSING A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE IN THE TRANSMISSION. THE MECHANIC (WHO SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT) EXPLAINED THAT BASED ON THE FLYWHEEL CONDITION THAT THIS WAS NOT A CASE OF GRADUAL WEAR BUT A SUDDEN FAILURE THAT DAMAGED THE FLYWHEEL AND TRANSMISSION HOUSING. HE WAS BASING THAT ASSESSMENT ON THE FACT THAT THE FLYWHEEL WAS NOT WORN AT ALL AND SHOWED ME WHAT A WORN FLYWHEEL WOULD LOOK LIKE. UPON HEARING THAT I INSISTED THAT THIS SHOULD BE A WARRANTY COVERED REPAIR AS IT SOUNDED LIKE A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT THAT CAUSED THIS AND CERTAINLY NOTHING I'VE DONE. BASICALLY THE CLUTCH EXPLODED AND CAUSED THIS. I'VE POSTED THIS STORY ON A FEW JEEP FORUMS AND FOUND A FEW OTHER JEEP OWNERS THAT WERE TOLD THE SAME THIS. ITS ABOUT TIME FCA TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS AND ISSUE A RECALL BEFORE ANYONE GETS HURT.

AFTER NOTICING A ACCUMULATION OF FLUID UNDER MY VEHICLE I TOOK THE CAR TO A MECHANIC WHO MENTIONED THAT THE SEALS ON THE REAR AXEL WERE BOTH LEAKING. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY VERIFIED THAT BOTH SEALS WERE LEAKING AND THAT THE DIFFERENTIAL COVER WAS ALSO LEAKING. THEY REPLACED THE SEALS AND RESEALED THE DIFFERENTIAL COVER, BUT NOTED THAT I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACING THE FLUID IN THE DIFFERENTIAL. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN TAKEN OFF ROAD, OUTSIDE OF USUAL DRIVING DOWN UNPAVED ROADS.

CHRYSLER INVESTIGATOR RULED THAT IT WAS NOT A "MANUFACTURING DEFECT." I HAVE MANY PICTURES OF THE FIRE EVENT AND AFTER FIRE REMAINS. I HAVE BEEN IN THE RETAIL AUTOMOTIVE BUSINESS FOR 30+ YEARS. I ALSO WAS A PUBLIC SPEAKER FOR CHRYSLER CORP AS WELL. HAD MY SON NOT STOPPED AT A FRIENDS HOUSE FOR DINNER, THAT FIRE WOULD HAVE OCCURRED IN MY GARAGE!! WHICH FURTHER STATED, LET AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT SYSTEMS RANGING BACK TO 2012 JEEP WRANGLERS, EXTENDING TO 2017 JEEP WRANGLERS. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT AS A RESULT OF MY 2015 JEEP WRANGLER COLLISION WHICH ENDED UP IN A TOTAL LOSS. LOCAL DEALERSHIP, FALLS MOTOR CITY (WHERE I BOUGHT THE JEEP) TELLS ME THEY HAVE TO REPRODUCE THE ISSUE IN ORDER TO ADDRESS IT. THIS IS AN IMPORTANT SAFETY ISSUE AS THE GEAR POPS INTO NEUTRAL WHILE TRYING TO ACCELERATE OUT OF 1ST GEAR AND I FEEL THE DEALERSHIP IS NOT TAKING IT SERIOUSLY BY THEIR LACK OF WILLINGNESS TO INVESTIGATE BEYOND A CURSORY TEST DRIVE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE OBSERVING THE ENGINE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE COOLANT IN THE RADIATOR WAS SEVERELY LOW. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RADIATOR WAS LEAKING AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,571.
DISTRACTING GRIND AND SEVERE GEARSHIFT VIBRATION DURING THE 1ST GEAR TO 2ND GEAR UP SHIFT. IT APPEARS AS THOUGH THE GEAR SHIFT LEVER WILL VIOLENTLY COME OFF. THE GRINDING IS EXTREMELY DISTRACTING TO THE DRIVER AS GEARS MOVING AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS COME VIOLENTLY TO STOP AS OPPOSED SMOOTHLY MESHING TOGETHER. THE SHIFTING OPERATION PRODUCES A SENSATION THAT REVERBERATES UP THE HAND AND ARM CAUSING A DISTRACTING JOLT TO THE DRIVER. AT THIS TIME, ALL THE OTHER UP SHIFTS ARE NORMAL, MAKING THE 1ST TO 2ND GEAR UP SHIFT ASYMMETRICALLY DIFFERENT THAN ALL THE OTHER UP SHIFTS. THIS HAPPENS REGULARLY REGARDLESS OF AMBIENT TEMPERATURE, GRADE, OR FAST, SLOW, OR RAPID SHIFTING MAKING THE VEHICLE A NUISANCE AND A SAFETY HAZARD TO DRIVE.
HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING DEATH WOBBLE WHILE DRIVING SINCE BUYING MY 2015 JEEP WRANGLER. BROUGHT IT TO JEEP AND THEY SAID THEY NEVER HEARD OF DEATH WOBBLE, BUT WOULD CHECK IT OUT. OF COURSE, THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG. BROUGHT IT TO A LOCAL GARAGE THAT ENDED UP REPLACING THE STEERING DAMPER. NOW I SEE THERE IS A RECALL FOR 2018 AND 19 MODELS. CAN I GET A REFUND FROM JEEP?

THERE IS A 1 TO 2 SECOND LAG WHEN PRESSING THE HORN BUTTON AND WHEN THE HORN ACTUALLY SOUNDS. WITH THE LAG, IT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO SOUND THE HORN IMMEDIATELY WHEN SOMEONE IS ENCROACHING INTO YOUR LANE OR ANY OTHER TIME WHEN THE HORN NEEDS TO BE SOUNDED TO PREVENT AN ACCIDENT. *JS

HORN DELAY! WHEN PRESSING THE STEERING WHEEL THERE IS A NOTICEABLE DELAY IN THE HORN SOUNDING. AT TIMES I HAVE NEEDED THE HORN TO ALERT SOMEONE WANDERING INTO MY LANE AND A QUICK 'HIT' TO THE WHEEL DID NOT SOUND THE HORN. NO OTHER VEHICLE I'VE OWNED OPERATES LIKE THIS.
