Car Shakes like crazy ( death wobble) expecially on Highway from hitting a little bump or transition on road.
After purchasing seems the vin was updated with information I was not disclosed. The bcm has never worked correctly the instrument panel is erratic and even with a code reader showing P codes there’s no check light. The steering makes the entire vehicle jump over half a road. Blind spot monitors don’t know what to do sometimes they are unavailable, odometer has all 9s sometimes. I did all the checks on the vehicle at the time and what I was given showed I had a 2018 4 door Sahara and that was what I was led to believe. After having issues and getting my registration I started looking at everything more because the dealer registered me as a commercial passenger truck(still don’t know why) but found a report that says Moab/sahara and my seems my vehicles body chasis and motor are all over the place. I’m pretty sure the engine is failing as at one point in one of the reports I found it stated it failed emissions. But the overall worst is that the suspension looks like it came off the titanic compared to the body panels, there’s a lot of welding and rusted or “appearingly tampered” pieces in the chassis and the vehicle seems to be coming apart at every seam. I am currently not driving it because it looks to have sank down to where it could be dangerous I’m pretty sure the suspension, frame, and axles aren’t rated for what’s on it and sounded like something may be coming off at the wheel or axle area last time I did drive it. The vehicle I thought I was purchasing had safety guidelines and there is 2.0 parts, 3.6 parts on this along with random other countries parts. It was bought used “As-Is” but not under the pretense that they assembled it by hand from leftovers. It wouldn’t pass safety standards or emissions in a foreign country much less in the UNITED STATES. I am starting here but will be seeking legal counsel. No longer certain I even have a jeep frame or chassis or just some panels stuck to a rusting timebomb. I’ve only drove like 8,000 miles. Now I’m scared to

I had the common issue with Jeep ‘18 wranglers called the “death wobble”. I read many articles saying it’s common with jeeps from the 2018 era. One day I was driving and it stopped in the middle of the road. I couldn’t accelerate or brake. I could not fully get the vehicle off a busy highway. I took it in before this to get it diagnosed and mechanics could not figure it out. After this incident I towed it to the dealership and they replaced my drive shaft because it was completely destroyed. I am now paying $2000 in repairs.
Jeep wrangler jl with 23,000 miles driving 55 mph. Jeep front end started shaking violently and brake pedal pulsating so that I could not brake or steer vehicle. Did Google search and this has been a major Jeep wrangler issue. As an engineer Jeep designers did not understand harmonic frequencies when designing or specificity front end design. This happened 3 times before Wisc. Cambridge service could replace front end steering component at $600 cost. Very dangerous on highway going 55 mph with no vehicle control. I believe you are aware of this issue and have failed your duty to force mfg to fix with a recall.
Trac bar bracket weld separated from axle
Driving at 60 mph on I-35 North Highway in Kansas City. Hit a bridge seam and the front end began to shake violently. I had to slow down to get the vibration to stop. I definitely experienced the Jeep death wobble in the front suspension.
At highway speeds when driving over surface imperfections, the jeep randomly and suddenly starts to wobble uncontrollably, with a significant wobble in the steering wheel. This wobbling goes away when the vehicle slows down, but pops up again in a random manner when driving over any surface imperfection / bump / road seam at highway speeds
In right lane of US19 south bound at about 58 mph, experienced extreme frame vibration after driving over deterioration of asphalt portion of road (which I have driven over hundreds of times with no abnormal effect). Immediately de-accelerated and pulled over into the grassy area of the shoulder of the road. Got out to inspected vehicle, especially the front end structure and wheels for any sign of damage; I could find none. Carefully drove the Jeep home and again inspection the undercarriage of the vehicle for any sign of damage; none found. Took the Jeep into a local shop for extensive inspection of the the vehicle suspension, steering, tires, etc. for any indication of damage which would have caused the above situation; none was found. Even when I drove the Jeep after the situation, it drove normally. I had taken the Jeep in for the 48CHZ: Recall v88 recall on 20Apr20 and 48CHZ: Recall y95 (reconfiguration or power steering assist/ElectroHydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) calibrations) on 2Jul18. I am a retired Marine Corps Officer and I do not do any "off roading" driving with my Jeep, only normal Hi-way driving. I have done no modifications to the front end/lift of the Jeep. Therefore, I am concerned why I have experienced this condition; possible the "Death Wobble" even though I have had the recall "fix". I can only deduce that I experienced what was called the "Death Wooble" which the Jeep JL was experiencing when it first came out. My Jeep only has 27,318 miles on it. Thank you for your time in this matter and I look forward to receiving some form of response. Respectfully, [XXX] LtCol. i took to my local mechanic after noticing that the car shakes very time i hit bumps while driving my mechanic inspected it and noticed that there's a crack in the the weld in the front track bar bracket. same as the safety recall UA5 that FCA has for the same year and model jeep for that year and when i called them they said that mine was built after that by a month.
My Jeep experienced sever wobbling, as if the front wheels were coming off. So, I took it to a repair shop and they said it was the "death wobble." When I took it to the Autonation Jeep Dealership, South, Columbus GA. I was told that they had a recall on that 2 years and 3 months ago, and since the 2 year warranty expired, there was nothing they could do about it. If a recall doesn't work, then isn't the dealership still required to fix a manufacturer defect? My Jeep had an additional recall, which the dealership performed last week, and the dealership thought this new recall (computer update) might fix the death wobble problem. When I picked up my Jeep last week after this second recall, my heat and A/C no longer worked--all controls on the Jeep no longer worked. The dealership said they just followed the procedure in the recall, and since the recall resulted in the loss of my heat, A/C and defrosting, that I needed to deal with Jeep USA. I have submitted my case to Customer Care (FCA US, LLC) at Jeep USA, and they are telling me they might be able to ship a part in 6 weeks. My car has no heater. No accountability. I need to be compensated for the damages they have caused to my Jeep! Thanks, [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

WHEN THE VEHICLE HITS UNEVEN PAVEMENT OR A SMALL BUMP IT BEGINS AGGRESSIVELY AND UNCONTROLLABLY SHAKING. YOU MUST BRING THE SPEED OF THE CAR DOWN (SOMETIMES AS LOW AS 35MPH) TO REGAIN CONTROL. IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS ON THE HIGHWAY. I BROUGHT THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I RECEIVED A CALL THAT THE CAR WAS FIXED, UPON ARRIVING I WAS TOLD THE PART IS OUT OF STOCK FOR THE RECALL AND HAVE NOW BEEN WAITING FOR WEEKS WITH NO ETA. THE CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND JEEP HAS NO URGENCY TO FIX THE ISSUE.
WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND HIT A BUMP OR ANY SORT OF UNEVEN TERRAIN THE VEHICLE SHAKES VIOLENTLY AND UNCONTROLLABLY. IT LITERALLY FEELS LIKE THE WHEELS ARE GOING TO FALL OFF. HAVE TO COME TO ALMOST A COMPLETE STOP TO STOP THE SHAKING. DURING THE SHAKING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE IS LOST. I HAVE BEEN TO JEEP SERVICE CENTERS 3 SEPERATE OCCASIONS WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. THEY TELL ME IT'S THE STEERING DAMPER AND IT'S FIXED AND THEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN WITH NO WARNING.
AS THE CUSTOMER WAS DRIVING IF A FORWARD DIRECTION, TRAFFIC CAME TO A VERY FAST DECREASE IN SPEED CAUSING THE DRIVER TO APPLY THE BREAKS HARDER THAN NORMAL BREAKING. THE DRIVER FELT AND HEARD A LOUD POP, FOLLOWED BY A BIG JERK AND VIOLENT SHAKING. SOMETHING APPEARED TO BE DIGGING INTO THE GROUND AS THE DRIVE CAME TO A STOP.*DT *TR
