MY ANTENNA SHARK COVER CAME OFF DURING WASHING IT IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS SHARK COVER. THE OWNER OF THE CAR WASH TOLD ME THIS AND SO DID THE COLLISION CENTER AT THE REPAIR PLACE. IT IS GOING TO COST ALMOST 400.00 TO REPAIR THIS AND I THINK KIA SHOULD HAVE A RECALL ON THESE DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE SCREWS HOLDING THE SHARK ON IS BREAKING OFF. THE CONSUMER SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS.I SAW 2 OTHERS WHILE I WAS AT THE REPAIR PLACE.I DO HAVE A REPORT FROM THE CAR WASH AND THE OTHER SAYS THE VIDEO SHOWS THAT HER EMPLOYEES DID NOT TOUCH OR HIT THE SHARK.
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME AROUND IM GETTIN HYBRID ENGINE ISSUES PLEASE TURN OFF ENGINE. FIRST TINE THIS HAPPEN 6MNTHS AGO I GOT THE RUN AROUND FOR ALMTS 3WKS FINALLY FIX NOW IM HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AGAIN. I SHOULD NOT BE GETTING THE RUN AROUND FIGURING OUT IF THIS IS COVERED... CAR SHUTTING OFF
I TOOK MY CAR IN AFTER SMELLING FUEL AND THEY SAID THERE WAS A TEAR IN MY FUEL LINE AND IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. MY CAR WAS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL BUT KIA WOULD NOT PAY FOR THE REPAIRS BECAUSE WHEN THEY PREVIOUSLY REVIEWED FOR RECALL ISSUES THEY SAID THERE WAS NO ISSUES FOUND. I ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT KIA AND THEY DID NOT GET BACK TO ME.
MY CAR (2014 KIA OPTIMA) STARTED HAVING A FAINT GAS SMELL ABOUT TWO DAYS AGO, I THOUGHT THE GAS SMELL WAS BECAUSE I HAD GOTTEN GAS AND SOME WAS ON MY SHOE. I FOUND OUT TODAY THAT MY DIRECT INJECTION FUEL PUMP ON THE ENGINE IS THE PROBLEM. THE GUY AT THE SHOP SAID THE CAR COULD HAVE BLOWN UP AT ANYTIME, AND THAT I WAS BLESSED. I CALLED THE KIA DEALERSHIP BECAUSE THE ENGINE LOCKED UP ON ME IN SEPTEMBER OF 2017. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THEY REPLACED A PART, BUT IS NOW TELLING ME THEY REPLACED THE ENTIRE ENGINE. THE PROBLEM THAT THE CAR IS HAVING NOW IS NOT UNDER A RECALL. I DON'T FEEL SAFE IN MY CAR BECAUSE THIS IS THE SECOND TIME SOMETHING TRAGIC COULD HAVE HAPPENED DUE TO SOMETHING THAT WAS NOT MY FAULT. I AM SENDING THIS TO WARN OTHER KIA DRIVERS TO BE CAREFUL.
KIA OPTIMA RECALL I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY ENGINE TURN OFF AND EVERYTHING ELSE WAS ON I GOT OFF THE FREEWAY AND PARK AT A HOTEL TRY TO TURN THE CAR ON AGAIN AND IT WOULDN'T TURN ON AGAIN I NOTICED THAT IT WAS SMOKING FROM THE HOOD OF MY CAR. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME OUT

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 KIA OPTIMA. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, SMOKE ASCENDED FROM THE HOOD. THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF THE VEHICLE OVERHEATING PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT CALLED BOB UTTER KIA (2433 TEXOMA PKWY, SHERMAN, TX 75090, (903) 892-3555) AND SCHEDULED A DIAGNOSTIC APPOINTMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000.
ON THE MORNING OF 10/10/18. MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING TO WORK ON A CLEAR, STRAIT, HIGHWAY ROAD AT ABOUT 45 MPH. SHE HEARD A NOISE THEN LOST ALL POWER TO THE CAR. SHE COASTED TO THE SIDE. IMMEDIATELY AFTER LOOSING POWER, THE WHEEL LOCKED ON HER. ON THE GROUND WAS TONS OF FLUIDS. A WRECKER WAS CALLED. I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC AND HIS WORDS WERE "THE BARRING WENT THROUGH THE MOTOR." I HAD TO FIND ANOTHER MOTOR TO PUT IN MY CAR. THE PICTURES WILL SHOW THE DAMAGE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 KIA OPTIMA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE SUN ROOF EXPLODED AND GLASS SHATTERED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE CONTACT CALLED GOSSETT KIA AT 901-328-8177 (LOCATED AT 1900 COVINGTON PIKE, MEMPHIS, TN 38128) AND WAS INFORMED THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE AND THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, FILED A REPORT, AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD FOLLOW-UP WITH THE CONTACT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 46,000.

ALL THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AND THERE WAS A STRONG ODOR OF SMOKE INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT OPENED THE HOOD AND NOTICED FLAMES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE CONTACT WAS UNSURE IF POLICE OR FIRE REPORTS WERE FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO BAILEYS WRECKER SERVICE TOW LOT WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS A COMPLETE LOSS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,000.
FIRE! MY 2014 KIA OPTIMA CAUGHT FIRE WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT ON THE HIGHWAY. FIRST, I COULD SMELL SOMETHING BURNING. THEN, SMOKE QUICKLY FILLED MY CABIN. I PULLED OVER LOST STEERING AND BRAKES, PUT CAR IN PARK. GOT OUT LOOK BEHIND ME. SEE SPARKS ON GROUND. GET IN CALL 911 AND WITH IN SECONDS MY CAR SNAP, CRACKLED, AND POPPED AND FLAMES ENGULFED MY VEHICLE. I GRABBED MY PURSE AND RAN. I HAD TO WATCH MY CAR BURN. I AM VERY THANKFUL I MADE IT OUT.

THE LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED SCRAPS AND BRUISES FROM ESCAPING THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO JIM MARSH KIA (8555 W CENTENNIAL PKWY, LAS VEGAS, NV 89149 (702) 946-1000) BUT A CAUSE OF THE FIRE WAS NOT PROVIDED TO THE CONTACT. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V224000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) AT THE SAME DEALER BEFORE THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.
I PURCHASED MY KIA OPTIMA 2014 BRAND NEW OFF OF A DEALERSHIP LOT. A FEW YEARS LATER I WAS DRIVING TO CALIFORNIA AND MY ENGINE COMPLETELY WENT OUT, I CALLED THE 800 NUMBER FOR KIA THEY TOWED MY CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. KIA HAD FAILED TO INFORM ME THAT THERE WAS A CAMPAIGN FOR A RECALL FOR MY ENGINE HOWEVER THEY DID REPLACE THE ENGINE AT THE EXACT SAME DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED IT FROM. AS SOON AS THE ENGINE WAS REPLACED OUR STARTED TO SMELLING GASOLINE AROMA ALONG WITH LEAKING FROM UNDERNEATH MY CAR. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP THEY TOLD ME THAT THAT WAS NORMAL AND THOSE THINGS WOULD SOON SUBSIDE. A FEW MONTHS LATER AS I WAS BACKING INTO MY GARAGE MY NEIGHBOR FRANTICALLY WAVE ME DOWN STATING THAT THERE WAS SMOKE AND FLAMES COMING FROM THE CAR I LOOKED OVER TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AND I DID SEE SMOKE AND I LOOKED OVER TO THE DRIVER SIDE AND I SAW A RED FIRE AND SMOKE I JUMPED OUT OF THE CAR. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT SOON CAME WITHIN 6 MINUTES MY CAR WAS HALFWAY IGNITED INTO FLAMES. HE HAS STATED THEY WOULD SEND OUT A FORENSIC FIRE INVESTIGATOR AND I SHOULD HIRE MY OWN FIRE INVESTIGATOR. I DID SO HE HAS YET TO DISCLOSE THEIR FINDING ON CAUSE OF FIRE. HOWEVER SHORTLY THEREAFTER MY FORENSIC FIRE INVESTIGATORS HIT ME OVER INFORMATION STATING THAT KIA FAILED TO REPLACE THE CLIP THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY FROM THE GAS TANK TO THE ENGINE. THIS POSES A BIG ISSUE FOR CONSUMERS CAN POTENTIALLY PUT THEIR LIVES IN DANGER. UNFORTUNATELY I'M A VICTIM OF THIS AND I FEEL KIA SHOULD BE OBLIGATED TO WRITE THEY'RE WRONG.
A COUPLE OF MONTHS BACK, THE REAR, RIGHT SIDE DOOR WOULDN'T OPEN OR CLOSE PROPERLY. I ALSO NOTICED, BEFORE THE DOOR ISSUE, THAT THE CAR SEEMED SLUGGISH GOING UPHILL, AND IT SEEMED LIKE I WAS GOING THROUGH GAS, A LOT QUICKER. A FEW WEEKS AGO, WHILE PARKED, MY CAR BATTERY HAD DIED. I HAD NO WARNING, AND WAS 4 HOURS FROM HOME. LUCKILY IT WAS ABLE TO BE JUMP STARTED. NOW, WHEN I TRY TO START THE CAR, IT WON'T START. I HAVE TO PUT IT IN DRIVE, THEN BACK IN PARK, BEFORE IT WILL START. NOW WHEN I START THE CAR, MY GAS GUAGE DROPS TO BELOW, WHAT I HAD WHEN I PARKED. OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS, IT WILL MAKE ITS WAY TO NORMAL.
MY HEAD LIGHTS KEEPS GOING OUT DUE TO THE LOOSE SOCKET/ POCKET IT SETS IN. FRUSTRATING..I'VE ALREADY HAD LEFT SIDE REPLACED.. RIGHT SIDE NEEDS REPLACED..IT'S THE DIM LIGHTS ONLY..PLEASE INFORM ME IF THERE IS OR WAS A RECALL...YOU CAN TURN IT AND IT COMES IN BUT WHILE DRIVING 7 MILES IT GOES OUT
I WAS HEADING NORTH BOUND, CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 55 WHEN MY 2014 KIA OPTIMA THERA II MOTOR STARTED MAKING A GRINDING SOUNDS, LOST COMPLETE POWER AND STALLED OUT. CAR WOULD NOT TURN ON ANYMORE, A TEXAS STATE TROOPER AND SMALL TOWN COP HELPED ME PUSHED THE CAR INTO A PARKING LOT AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR, THE CAR STARTED SMOKING AND CAUGHT FIRE FROM THE ENGINE BAY. LUCKILY NO ONE GOT HURT BUT THE CAR IS A TOTAL LOSE AND I HAVE A FEELING KIA IS GOING TO GIVE ME THE RUNAROUND. THE THETA II DOES HAVE AN OPEN RECALL. THE MOTOR WAS CHECKED TWICE AND PASSED BOTH TIMES.
THE PUSH TO START BUTTONS ON KIA OPTIMA'S ARE NOT TURNING ON THE CARS ENGINES. I HAVE SEEN THIS COMPLAINT ALL OVER THE INTERNET AND IT SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE AMONG KIA OPTIMA OWNERS. THE CAR WILL BE TURNED OFF AND PARKED, YOU WILL GO TO PUSH THE BRAKE AND START THE CAR AND YOU WILL GET NOTHING FROM THE ENGINE. THE LIGHTS AND RADIO WILL WORK BUT THE ENGINE WILL NOT TURN ON. PEOPLE HAVE REPORTED "HACKS" TO FIX THE ISSUE SUCH AS WAITING IT OUT OR A CLEVER ONE IS TO PUT YOUR FOOT ON THE BRAKE MOVE THE GEAR SHIFTER TO DRIVE AND BACK TO PARK 2 TIMES AND THEN PUSH THE START BUTTON AND THE CAR HOPEFULLY WILL START. IT SEEMS THE PROBLEM PROGRESSIVELY GETS WORSE OVER TIME. I WAS IN THE WAITING IT OUT STAGE NOW I AM IN THE GEAR SHIFTING STAGE. ALL JOKES ASIDE THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE FOR A CAR THAT HAS ONLY BEEN ON THE MARKET FOR 4 YEARS. SIMPLY GOOGLE "KIA OPTIMA WON'T START," TO SEE MORE PEOPLE WITH THE SAME EXACT ISSUE AS MYSELF.
CAR STALLED ON ME AS I WAS DRIVING. NOW MAKES CYCLIC NOISE WHEN I DRIVE. I DON'T DRIVE IT AT ALL HAD MECHANIC CHECK IT AND HE SAID I NEED A NEW ENGINE.
Paint started peeling on both sides of front windshield and has gotten worse over the years
WHILE DRIVING THE KIA ON THE HIGHWAY AFTER GETTING REPAIRED FOR CRACKING THE TRANSMISSION DUE TO RUNNING OVER A MEDIAN THE CAR ENGINE SEIZED WHILE IN FULL MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY. GOING 65MPH ENGINE STOPPED AND CAR CAME TO A STOP AFTER DRIVING 5 MILES FROM THE SHOP. I CALLED THE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE TO COME TOW THE CAR. THEY TOOK IT TO THE NEAREST KIA DEALERSHIP WHICH I HAD CALLED AND EXPLAINED I WAS ABOUT TO TAKE THE CAR INTO BE CHECKED OUT FOR THE RECALL NOTICE I HAD RECEIVED. THE SHOP HAD TOLD ME IT COULD HAVE BEEN THE TIMING CHAIN BUT WHEN I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH THE MAN IN THE KIA DEALERSHIP HE STATED THAT A PIECE OF CAME OFF IN THE OIL PAN AND WENT INTO THE ENGINE. WHEN I ASKED HIM IF THIS HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE RECALL HE STATED NO. I DON'T KNOW I THINK IT HAD TO HAVE HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE RECALL HOW ELSE WOULD THERE BE ANYTHING IN THE OIL PAN OR COME LOOSE IN THE ENGINE LIKE THAT. MY CAR HAS BEEN TOTALED OUT I NO LONGER HAVE A VEHICLE TO DRIVE. THERE'S NO WAY THAT RUNNING OVER A CURB COULD MAKE THE ENGINE COMPLETELY SEIZED UP. PLUS I HAD DRIVEN THE CAR A WEEK BEFORE, IT HAD DROVE JUST FINE, A LITTLE ROUGH HOWEVER WAS STILL LEAKING TRANSMISSION FLUID FOR THE NEW TRANSMISSION SO I SENT IT BACK TO THE SHOP. NOW THE SECOND TIME I GET IT FROM THE SHOP THAT'S WHEN IT BREAKS DOWN ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD DO TO A SEIZING ENGINE. SURE MAKES ME QUESTION IT
WHEN I TURN THE KEY IN THE BATTERY STARTS BUT THE ENGINE DOES NOT. I LEARNED THAT THE WAY TO TURN IT ON WHEN IT DOES THIS SITUATION I HAVE TO PRESS THE BREAK AND THEN MOVE THE SHIFT CHANGER AND WHILE PRESSING ON THE GAS I TRY TURNING THE STARTER AND THE ENGINE THEN STARTS.

THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HORNE KIA (1465 E MOTORPLEX LOOP, GILBERT, AZ 85297, (480) 725-5220), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: 12749792. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,863.
I PARKED MY KIA OPTIMA AT 7 PM. AT MIDNIGHT I WAS WOKEN UP TO FIRE TRUCKS OUTSIDE OF MY APARTMENT. MY CAR WAS FULLY ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THE FIRE INSPECTOR REPORTED NO FOWL PLAY BUT COULD NOT DETERMINE HOW IT HAPPENED. SIMPLY NOT ENOUGH EVIDENCE LEFT. HAD 62K MILES AND WAS FREQUENT WITH OIL CHANGES. NO LIGHTS ON DASH.

THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE. AFTER RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT THEN NOTICED FIRE AND SPARKS UNDER THE HOOD. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CONTACTED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE, BUT WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000.
S A SINGLE, FULL-TIME WORKING MOTHER TO TWO YOUNG CHILDREN, I WAS UNABLE TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IN TIME TO BRING MY 2014 KIA OPTIMA SXL TURBO IN FOR THE ENGINE RECALL TEST; MY CAR'S ENGINE DECIDED TO CROAK ON ME FORTUNATELY A BLOCK FROM MY HOME. MY CAR WAS TOWED IN TO THE LOCAL KIA ON MAY 19, 2018. AS OF PRESENT DAY, I AM STILL WITHOUT AN ENGINE AND HAVE BEEN GIVEN A DIFFERENT ETA ON THE ENGINE EVERY TIME I CONTACT KIA. I HAVE RECENTLY BEEN IN TOUCH WITH A MEMBER OF THE ESCALATION TEAM (AS HIGH UP AS I CAN GO). AS OF TODAY, SHE HAS CHANGED MY ETA TO THE LAST WEEK OF AUGUST WHEN I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE THE LAST WEEK OF JULY. I AM MEDICALLY DIAGNOSED WITH CHRONIC MIGRAINES AND EXTREME PHOTOPHOBIA AND HAVE A VALID AND LEGAL TINT PRESCRIPTION FOR MY VEHICLE IN THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI. MY PRESCRIPTION ALLOWS ME TO WARRANT WINDOW TINT THAT IS OTHERWISE ILLEGAL WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION DUE TO MY CONDITION. I HAVE STRESSED THIS MEDICAL ISSUE TO KIA EVERY TIME I CALL BUT THAT DOES NOT HELP SPEED UP THE PROCESS OF GETTING AN ENGINE HERE. MY MEDICATION (IMITREX AKA SUMATRIPTAN) CANNOT BE SAFELY TAKEN MORE THAN JUST A FEW TIMES PER WEEK BUT I HAVE KEPT A MIGRAINE AT LEAST 4 DAYS OF EACH WEEK SINCE I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT MY CAR DUE TO DRIVING IN A VEHICLE OTHER THAN MY OWN. MOST WOULD SPECULATE THAT WEARING SUNGLASSES WOULD BE A FIX ALL TO THIS PROBLEM; IT IS NOT. Pearl white paint is chipping and falling off all over the car. The paint isn't sticking to the factory primer, causing paint chips to fly off while driving. This issue also exposes the unprotected steel to the elements, causing rust and weakening the car body.

Pearl white paint has been chippong through the years. I have had paint retouched in certain places. I continuously complained and demanded it get fixed. Eventually they would repaint. But when it gets painted over a new part of the car starts chipping away. It’s nonsense. I bought this car new and my parents have cars older than me that have no problems with the paint. MOMENTARY LOSS OF POWER WHEN ACCELERATING. THERE IS A NHTSA RECALL ON THE 2.4 GDI ENGINE. KIA DEALERS CLAIM THE ENGINE IS NORMAL. WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS WHEN THE ENGINE IS STARTING TO FAIL. 2) INTERMITTENT ENGINE WON'T START. ELECTRONICS ACTIVATE, BUT ENGINE DOES NOT START. I TOOK IT IN WARMED UP & THE TECHNICIAN STATED AFTER A REVIEW, HE DIDN'T HEAR A RATTLE OR A KNOCK (THATS A LIE, I AM GOING BACK AGAIN & REVIEW WITH THE TECH) I ALSO HEAR A RATTLE FROM THE LEFT CV AXLE WHEN THE TRAC CONTROL COMES TO PLAY, TURNING ON A HARD RIGHT & A THUMP WHEN PULLING HARD ON A WET PAVEMENT ON A GREEN LIGHT. THIS COLD CRANK RATTLE CANNOT BE HEARD ON OTHER OPTIMAS WHEN I ASK TO HEAR THEM START THE OTHER CARS UP. THIS IS RIDICULOUS THIS IS A 30000 MILE CAR & SHOULD BE HAVING A VIBRATING ENGINE & A COLD CRANK RATTLE OR ANY RATTLE AT ALL WHEN WARMED UP, IT SHOULD BE SMOOTH.
A REPUTABLE AUTO SHOP NOTICED. WHY MY STEERING WAS NOT CORRECT. BOTH LOWER CONTROL ARMS WITH INTEGRATED BALL JOINT IS CAUSING THE STEERING TO BE EXTREMELY LOOSE AND NOT EVEN AN ALIGNMENT CAN FIX THIS PROBLEM. BOTH CONTROL ARMS WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED.
ON SUNDAY 02/11/2018 MY CAR DIED GETTING OFF THE HIGHWAY DOING 70MPH. I WAS ABLE TO GET TO A SAFE PLACE CAR IS A 2014 KIA AND HAS 46,763 MILES ON IT. HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. CALL KIA 3 TIMES ON 02/19/2018 FIRST TIME I WAS SAYING THAT MY CAR STILL WASN'T FIXED FROM THE LONG BLOCK THAT WAS REPLACED ON THURSDAY THAT WAS STILL MAKING FUNNY NOISES AND THAT THERE WAS A SWEET BURNING SMELL. WAS TOLD BY THE 1ST PERSON I TALKED TO GIVE IT TIME AND IT WILL WORK ITSELF OUT. THAT SWEET SMELL WAS THE OIL BURNING OFF OF THE ENGINE THAT THEY JUST REPLACED AND THAT IT WAS NO BIG DEAL. I CALL BACK NOT EVEN AN HOUR LATER TO SAY MY HEAT STOPPED WORKING THEY TOLD ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC RUN ON IT AND THEN IT WILL COST ME $99 AND IF THEY DETERMINE WASN'T PART OF THE ENGINE WORK THEY HAD JUST DONE. WHEN HOME I WENT TO PUT MORE WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID IN THE CAR I NOTICED THAT THEY DID NOT PUT COOLANT IN THE CAR WHICH IS NEEDED TO COOL THE ENGINE SO IT DOESN'T SEIZED UP STALL OR BLOWUP. SO WHEN THEY REPLACE THE ENGINE THEY DIDN'T PUT COOLANT IN THE CAR WHICH IS NEEDED. SO NOW I'M HAVING THE CAR TOWED BACK TO KIA SO THEY CAN MAKE SURE THAT THIS ENGINE ISNT SHOT NOW ALSO.
