Kia failed to take accountability for rods related to oil pan and engine damage defect on this vehicle. Did not offer other safety options and did not give any warning signs. I have ALL my receipts and maintenance on vehicle that I DID Maintain my vehicle responsible and this was a Kia vehicle safety issue on manufacturing. I did not receive any warning or lights on my dashboard and I have all my oil change receipts. Please see all attached documents for my complaint. All Kia customer service was concerned with was warranty when this is a manufacturing product defect of this car not being put together properly and my vehicle has been serviced over years at a Kia dealership and no one has ever told me my vehicle was not maintained. Kia corporation won't even investigate or even move forward in any direction even with all my receipts reports and evidence to submit my claims are true.
I JUST HAD TO REPLACE THE LOWER BALL JOINTS IN MY 2013 SORENTO SX WITH ONLY 60,000 MILES ON IT. THEY WERE IN BAD SHAPE, AND MADE NOISES WHEN TURNING CORNERS OR GOING OVER BUMPS. BALL JOINTS SHOULD LAST FAR LONGER THAN THIS. I SEE MANY CANADIAN SORENTOS HAD A BALL JOINT RECALL. BRAKES ARE SPONGY, TOO. I HAVE REPLACED THE BRAKES, AND HAD THE FLUID CHECKED FOR AIR, BUT STILL NOT A SOLID FEEL TO IT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 KIA SORENTO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ABS WARNING INDICATOR AND TWO OTHER WARNING INDICATORS RANDOMLY FLASHED. IN ADDITION, THERE WAS AN ABNORMALLY LOUD KNOCKING NOISE THAT OCCURRED RANDOMLY. THE DEALER REPLACED THE TWO REAR WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLIES, BUT WAS UNABLE TO REPLICATE AND DIAGNOSE THE ENGINE ASSEMBLY FAILURE. THE DEALER KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR A DAY AND TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE, BUT PROVIDED NO SOLUTION. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER WAS AWARE AND THERE WERE SEVERAL TSB ALERTS. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT PROVIDED A REPAIR SOLUTION. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,178.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 KIA SORENTO EQUIPPED WITH KUMHO SOLUS KL21 TIRES, SIZE 235/60/18. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE AND THE STEERING WHEEL STARTED SHAKING ERRATICALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED AN ALIGNMENT AND A WHEEL BALANCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE DOT NUMBER WAS NOT AVAILABLE. UPDATED 10/29/13 *CN
RADIO AND CAMERA SYSTEM SUDDENLY STOPS WORKING. WHEN YOU TURN ON THE AIR CONDITIONER COMES A STRONG ODOR AS "SILICONE" THIS HAPPENS THE FIRST TIME THAT I TURN ON THE AIR CONDITIONER IN THE DAY. THE VEHICLE IS VERY UNSTABLE AND VERY SENSITIVE TO UNEVEN ROADS. SHAKES A LOT AND MOVES A LOT. I WORRY ABOUT YOUNG CHILDREN AND THEIR HEADS MOVE TOO MUCH IN THE CAR SEAT FOR THESE SUDDEN MOVEMENTS. *TR
VEHICLE ARRIVED FROM FACTORY WITH IMPROPER CAMBER SETTING ON FRONT SUSPENSION. CAMBER IS NOT ADJUSTABLE. PER ALIGNMENT SPECIALIST, STRUTS WILL HAVE TO BE NOTCHED TO SET CAMBER PROPERLY. KIA OF AMERICA REFUSES TO FIX THE ISSUE, RESULTING IN ABNORMAL TIRE WEAR AND POOR VEHICLE HANDLING CHARACTERISTICS AT SPEED. *TR
