The contact owns a 2001 Lexus LS. The contact stated that the battery to the vehicle failed on several occasions for the past 20 years. The contact stated she had to replace the battery at least twenty times in the past ten years. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was diagnosed with a failure in the radio connection which was draining the battery. The radio was disconnected. The failure reoccurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
FAILURE OF LEXUS LS430 TRUNK STRUTS. TRUNK LID WILL NO LONGER REMAIN OPEN AND WILL OFTEN FALL ON MY HEAD WHILE PUTTING AND TAKING ITEMS OUT OF THE TRUNK.
THE STRUTS (PISTONS) THAT ALLOW THE TRUNK LID TO OPEN AND CLOSE DO NOT HOLD THE TRUNK UP AND IT HAS SLAMMED SHUT NUMEROUS TIMES CAUSING MINOR BRUISES.
