Vibration felt in the vehicle when vehicle is put into drive but stopped. I have replaced all motor mounts, all exhaust mounts, throttle body and sensor (one assembly), engine coils, fuel injectors, air filter, PCV valve.

HOWEVER, THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIRS EACH TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND WAS UNABLE TO INDICATE A REASONABLE TIME FRAME FOR WHEN THE PARTS WOULD ARRIVE. I FIRST NOTICED THIS RECENTLY. WHEN I MAKE A HARD LEFT OR RIGHT TURN, MY STEERING WHEEL IS OFF-CENTER. IT DOES CORRECT ITSELF IN A SHORT TIME, BUT I AM CONCERNED ABOUT DRIVING SAFETY. I'M NOT SURE WHEN I FIRST NOTICED THIS PROBLEM. I THINK SINCE THE LAST SERVICE. I BRING MY CAR IN FOR REGULAR SERVICE AND ANY RECALLS. I MAKE ALL RECOMMENDED REPAIRS. *TR
2006 LEXUS 470. CONSUMER STATES UNSAFE SITUATION WITH STEERING MECHANISM *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO CORRECT THE STEERING DEFECT. THE CONSUMER HAS SINCE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE REGARDING THE STEERING PROBLEM HE HAD BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT ALL ALONG. *JB UPDATED 01/12/11. *JB

THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER HAVING REPAIRS PERFORMED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 10V346000 (STEERING: GEAR BOX: SHAFT PITMAN), HE BEGAN TO HAVE PROBLEMS TILTING THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE HORN WOULD ACTIVATE INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER HOWEVER, THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 41,980.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 LEXUS LX470. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DECELERATE THE VEHICLE LURCHED FORWARD. CONSEQUENTLY, SHE CRASHED INTO A NEARBY UTILITY POLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION. THE TECHNICIAN COULD NOT IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE, BECAUSE THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 34798. UPDATED 12/07/09 *BF THE CONSUMER WAS AT A STOP WITH HER FOOT ON THE BRAKE WHEN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY MADE A ROARING SOUND AND LURCHED FORWARD AND CRASHED INTO A UTILITY POLE. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 LEXUS LX470. WHILE PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE ON AN INCLINE, THE VEHICLE AUTOMATICALLY ACCELERATED AND CRASHED INTO A NAIL SALON. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CALLED AN UN-COMMANDED ACCELERATION. THROUGH RESEARCH, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED A PATTERN FOR THIS TYPE OF FAILURE AMONG TOYOTA VEHICLES. SHE HAS NOT YET NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE IS NOT DESTROYED, HOWEVER, THERE IS $22,000 WORTH OF DAMAGE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED THE DAY BEFORE THE CRASH, THE THROTTLE EXPANDED AND THE ENGINE BEGAN TO REV. THE VEHICLE THEN IDLED DOWN AND BEGAN TO OPERATE NORMALLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DID NOT MOVE UNTIL THE ENGINE DIED DOWN. THE SPEED WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 35,000. BLUE HEADLIGHTS NEED TO BE BANNED. THESE LIGHTS ARE BLINDING. ONE ARTICLE MENTIONED ROAD RAGE AND I CAN UNDERSTAND THAT. THESE HIGH DOLLAR VEHICLES ARE BLINDING US FOLKS WITH THE ORDINARY CARS. BEING BLINDED BY THE ONCOMING DRIVER DOES NOT SEEM TO BE VERY SAFE. *NM
I LEASE A LEXUS 400H AND HAVE JUST YESTERDAY BEEN INFORMED THAT IT IS A DRIVE BY WIRE VEHICLE WITH NO MECHANICAL LINKAGE BETWEEN THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE FRONT TIRES. I AM A HAM RADIO OPERATOR AND UPON TRANSMISSION THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES. NO AMOUNT OF FILTERING OR OTHER MEASURES HAVE ALLEVIATED THE PROBLEM. I BELIEVE THAT THE CAR IS INHERENTLY DANGEROUS AND WOOULD NEVER HAVE LEASED IT IF I HAD KNOW THAT IT WAS A DRIVE BY WIRE VEHICLE. NOTE THAT THERE ARE A LARGE NUMBER OF RF SOURCES SUCH AS BROADCAST STATIONS, TV STATIONS, MICROWAVE LINKS AND AIRCRAFT RADARS THAT WOULD AFFECT THE STEERING OF THIS VEHICLE. MOREOVER, IT DOES NOT APPEAR THAT THIS HYBRID MEETS THE FCC EMI STANDARDS. PLEASE INVESTIGATE.
