While the car was idled at a stop light, the warning "reduce engine powere appeared". I took the car to the vehicle and learned this was linked to code P125d71 for fuel pump valve control- a known recall
In heavy rain situations I get an error message stating all front active safety systems (forward collision warning, etc.) do not work. The error states to clean or clear the front sensors of the vehicle. There is nothing blocking the sensors but in heavy weather these situations become much more important. Lexus states this is normal when heavy water situations come into play. I understand for going through flood waters but I don't believe it should be in heavy rain. I feel this is a major safety hazard that should come with warnings.
Car was running normally and going at 50mph then all of a sudden car abruptly lost power and went to 10mph and dashboard lit up. Very scary as we also had our kids in the car--I can only imagine how dangerous this would have been if we had been on the highway going 70mph. Dealer diagnosed with low pressure fuel pump being bad. Lexus paid for the repair due to some lawsuit settlement but these cars should be recalled due to sudden loss in power!!
Trunk is defective. Trunk will not open unless it is manually opened, which is hard because it is powered. If there is an accident and a person needs to escape, they would be stuck inside due to these defective trunks. Many others are experiencing this issue online.
The contact owns a 2019 Lexus NX 300. The contact stated that while stopped at a red light, the RPM started to fluctuate. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed, and the mechanic retrieved DTC: P0300 and P11EF. Additionally, the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was then taken to a local dealer to be diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the fuel injector was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V028000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) as a possible cause for the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 144,000.
During heavy wind driven rain the front sensors start to show errors on the screen. These errors cause the the advance safety systems and parking sensors to deactivate. The warnings state to clean the sensors. Sometimes stopping the vehicle and turning off and on the ignition seems to resent but it does happen again. Usually this takes about 30 minutes of heavy rain to cause the. All other functions of the vehicle work but most safety systems appear to deactivate because of the sensors. This should not happen during a time when the systems are most needed.
Air fuel imbalance. Air fuel ratio Imbalance. Rough idling. System too rich bank 1. Requires cylinder head removal. Other VIN#'s recalled; however, my vin # was not accounted for though experiencing the exact issues and codes.
The contact owns a 2019 Lexus NX300. The contact stated there was a misfire in the engine and the engine was idling rough. The contact heard a clicking sound coming from the steering wheel while driving at speeds of approximately 10 MPH or slower and when turning the steering wheel. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was related to TSB: L-SB-007-21; NHTSA ID Number: 11003637 (Engine). The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was diagnosed with a misfire. The dealer also diagnosed the vehicle with the front axle failure. The contact was informed that the front axle needed to be replaced. The front axle was replaced; however, the sound persisted. The vehicle engine was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.
Excessive front pads wear: First replacement @13,000 miles. Second front pads replacement recommended @15,350 miles.
I have attempted informing Lexus of this situation. To my knowledge, they have not pursued the case. On October 31, 2023, we brought our NX300 [XXX] ) in at 44,806 miles. The left parking brake actuator was inoperative (also rendering the cruise control inoperative). To get to the dealership from Ormond Beach, I removed the appropriate fuses to avoid any undesired operation from the unit. I was hoping any problems would be covered by warranty—it had under 50,000 miles. The Basic Warranty had expired. The Powertrain Warranty was still in effect. Strangely, brakes are not listed in either warranty. This was definitely NOT a wear and tear item. After inspection by Lexus mechanic, the failed actuator would not and could not be covered by warranty. The ‘out-the-door’ cost was $1371.43 (RO# [XXX]). I asked for the old part, which I still have. There is an extreme manufacturing defect I found. Lexus charged $997.63 for the part. The same EXACT part is available online for $37.70---OEM is $189.00. I understand price markup is required for any business, but over 500% may be a bit excessive. I was truly shocked by what I had found within the sealed actuator. The why and how the actuator actually failed is blatantly obvious and could be a serious safety hazard for anyone driving a car with this type actuator that was manufactured in and around the same time as this one. The motor within the unit is held in place by 3 torx head screws which (all three) were completely unscrewed and were rattling above their appropriate threaded hole. Each screw has little or no threadlocker (Loctite) on the threads. The compression ring on top of each threaded hole is not compressed. This indicates the screws were never torqued to the proper specifications during manufacture. I believe there is a possibility of a brake malfunction due to manufacturer's defect in the brake actuator part. I have a 2019 NX, and the driver side mirror vibrate at speed over about 40mph. I went to dealership and checked on it. No one seems to able to help. They directed me to call the warranty line and same thing. it seems like Lexus doesn't want to admit this is one of the manufacture problems. I found many posts about side mirror vibration for lexus nx. Lexus said it's ''normal characteristic" which I totally disagree. The vibration is NOT normal and its annoying while driving. And its DRIVING HAZARD as well if you can't see the mirror clearly. I had an RX before which I loved and had no problems with it. My sister has a 2018 Rav4. I also have a 2018 CRV and even a Scion xb. I know what a "normal" side mirror vibration for a compact SUV should be. Lexus is not willing to fix these defect. I found the SAME compliant for 2022-23 Lexus NX too.
We bought used 2019 Lexus NX 300 with 11573 miles Lexus dealer salesman said the car was still under warranty Before delivery to customer Lexus dealer did performed 161points of service such as : electrical same as mechanical components on entirely of the car and it s/ b working properly without any problems In the past over two years I’ve continued to bring the car back for service Last year I did question ask some service manager about these squeaking noise when driving on the road and they did responded it’s normal ( four original tires are comes with my 2019 Lexus SUV )last time I discovered about two tires brand Dunlop ST 30 size : 225/65R17 -102H show numbers of cracked along to side of the tires and I did mentioned with Lexus dealer but they said its normal and not warranty In the list 161 points of Lexus certified PDF under pages 5 of 6 Section : Hoist items# 114 mention about this condition was covered from Lexus I’ve been trying to work out with them in fact I did contact with two Lexus dealers at Westminster and Riverside city without any luck and only received with “ a runaround “ answers My 2019 Lexus NX 300 shows with 26705 on odometer and I need to report to NHTSA about an unsafe and dangerous issues and prevent it happens in the future customers Thanks for help and let me know if you need more information
Drive shaft broke apart from the two bolts securing it to the chassis while driving slow speeds to bolts appear to be missing car made significant noise I needed to be towed to the dealership

ACCORDING TO THE NHTSA ONLINE DATABASE, MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN ON RECALL SINCE JANUARY 13, 2020. I WAS NOT INFORMED OF THIS RECALL, AND ONLY FOUND OUT WHEN I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN FOR MAINTENANCE ON NOVEMBER 3, 2020 (ALMOST ONE YEAR AFTER RECALL WAS ISSUED). I WAS INFORMED OF THE RECALL AT THE LEXUS DEALERSHIP ON THIS DAY, BUT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WERE NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO REPAIR THE RECALL. WHEN I ASKED WHAT THE RECALL WAS FOR, I WAS INFORMED, 'FUEL PUMP.' WHEN I ASKED FURTHER WHAT THAT DOES AND MEANS WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF MY CAR, I WAS INFORMED, 'IF IT MALFUNCTIONS, YOUR CALL COULD STALL, AND COULD LEAD TO ACCIDENTS IF STALLED WHILE DRIVING AT A HIGHER SPEED.' WHEN I ASKED WHEN THE RECALL REPAIR WOULD BE AVAILABLE, ALL I WAS TOLD WAS THAT IT WAS UNKNOWN, AND WHEN THE PARTS WERE AVAILABLE, I WOULD BE NOTIFIED VIA LETTER. MY CAR COULD STALL AT ANY POINT, I WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THIS DANGER, AND IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR WITHOUT ANY OPTION FOR REPAIRS. WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A COMPLETE STOP (A RED LIGHT OR STOP SIGN). THE 2019 LEXUS NX300 SOMETIMES STRUGGLES, AND VERY SLOWLY, ACCELERATE UNIT IT REACHES ABOUT 20 MPH. FEELS LIKE BEING OUT OF GAS. AFTER ABOUT 5-10 SECONDS, EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE NORMAL. THIS HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 5-6 TIMES IN THE PAST YEAR. IT CERTAINLY ISN'T NORMAL BUT SINCE IT CANNOT BE REPRODUCED ON DEMAND, THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS.

ON SIX OCCASIONS IN THE LAST TWO WEEKS, WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A FULL STOP AT STOP LIGHTS ON CITY STREETS, WHEN I PRESS THE GAS PEDAL, THE CAR DOESN'T ACCELERATE. IT ROLLS VERY SLOWLY AT 3/4 MPH FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS. I KEEP THE GAS PEDAL PRESSED AND EVENTUALLY THE CAR ACCELERATES. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME I DRIVE THE CAR AND SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS TWICE IN A ROW AND SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS ONCE WHILE I AM OUT DRIVING. ON MAY 15, I TOOK IT TO THE LEXUS DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED IT AND WAS TOLD THEY CAN ONLY FIX IT IF THEY ARE ABLE TO DUPLICATE IT AND THEY WHERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE IT.. I WAS INSTRUCTED TO BRING THE CAR BACK WHEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN. THE FIRST TIME THIS OCCURRED WAS IN MARCH BUT I DID NOT WRITE DOWN THE DAY. I THOUGHT THAT IT HAPPENED BECAUSE I WAS NOT PAYING ATTENTION WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGED. IT ALSO OCCURRED ON APRIL 23, MAY 7 AND MAY 12. I CALLED LEXUS ON MAY 7 AND WAS TOLD THAT I AM NOT DRIVING THE CAR ENOUGH AND THAT A LOT OF CUSTOMERS ARE REPORTING THE SAME PROBLEM BECAUSE OF THE NATIONWIDE STAY AT HOME ORDERS. I WAS INSTRUCTED TO DRIVE IT AT LEAST 20 MILES A WEEK ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE PROBLEM WOULD GO AWAY. ON MAY 11, I DROVE IT 60 MILES ON THE HIGHWAY ALONG WITH SOME STREET DRIVING AND IT DID NOT HAPPEN. ON MAY 12, I DROVE 60 MILES ON THE HIGHWAY ALONG WITH GOING TO THE GROCERY STORE AND IT HAPPENED TWICE AT TWO STOP LIGHTS ON THE WAY HOME FROM THE GROCERY STORE. FURTHERMORE, I RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION THAT MY CAR WAS INITIALLY PART OF THE TOYOTA/LEXUS FUEL PUMP RECALL BUT SUBSEQUENTLY RECEIVED A LETTER LAST WEEK (WEEK OF MAY 11 2020) THAT AFTER FURTHER REVIEW, IT IS NO LONGER PART OF THE RECALL. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HIS WIFE WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, A TRUCK PASSED ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND THE DRIVER HEARD AN ABNORMAL SOUND WITH A WARNING MESSAGE WHICH STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S DOOR WAS AJAR. THE DRIVER PULLED OVER AND OPENED THEN CLOSED THE WINDOW. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CLASSIC LEXUS LOCATED AT (2551 SOM CENTER RD, WILLOUGHBY HILLS, OH 44094) FOR A TEST DRIVE HOWEVER, NO FAILURE WAS DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,400.

I was informed in January of 2020 of a safety recall pertaining to the low pressure fuel pump in my Lexus NX300. I learned of the recall via CarFax rather than through Lexus. As I continued to drive and service the Lexus NX300, I received conflicting information from Lexus about whether or not my vehicle was impacted by the recall. Regardless, Lexus informed me that there was no remedy for the defect. In July of 2021 (at least 18 months after the defect was identified) I finally received notice from Lexus that a remedy is available. Lexus clearly knew of the defect prior to issuing the recall, but waited several months before even directly notifying me of the recall, allowing me to drive a vehicle they had already deemed unsafe for months. It is absurd that a manufacturer would allow unsafe vehicles on the road, jeopardizing human lives, while the manufacturer took their time to find a solution. In the meantime, they released new/refreshed vehicle models. This is a clear example of a car manufacturer placing profits over safety and should be addressed. For the record, I no longer own the vehicle. I decided to get rid of it when I lost faith that Lexus would ever resolve the issue.
THIS VEHICLE HAD A RECALL DATE OF 01/13/2020. EVERY TIME I CALL LEXUS DEALERSHIP REGARDING THE RECALL, I AM TOLD THAT THEY DO NOT YET HAVE A REMEDY. WHEN WILL THEY HAVE A REMEDY? RATHER SCARY DRIVING HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH. AND THINKING THAT THE FUEL PUMP MAY FAIL. SHOULDN'T NHTSA LOOK INTO WHY THIS IS TAKING SO LONG FOR THE MANUFACTURER TO FIND A REMEDY? AFTER READING THE RECALL FOR 2019 NX300, I REALIZED IT COULD BE TRUE. A WEEK AGO I WAS DRIVING ON FREEWAY AT ABOUT 55 MPH, DECIDED TO CHANGE THE LANE TO MY RIGHT WHICH WAS DEFINITELY GETTING IN-FRONT OF ANOTHER CAR WHICH MAY HAVE HAD BEEN @ 55MPH AND COUPLE CARS BEHIND ME. BEST OPTION WAS TO ACCELERATE SO I COULD BE IN THE NEXT LANE QUICKLY AND SAFELY - GUESS WHAT...IT TOOK A WHILE FOR MY CAR TO PICK UP THAT IMMEDIATE ACCELERATION TO THE RIGHT LANE. I ENDED UP SLOWING DOWN THE CAR WHO DEFINITELY MUST HAVE APPLIED BRAKE. I SURE HAD A GOOD GAP WHEN I WAS TRYING TO CHANGE LANE. I WAS SCARED AT THAT MOMENT - NOW I'M CONFIDENT THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG. DARN IT, I SPENT A GOOD AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR THIS LUXURY CAR BUT I'M DRIVING EVERYDAY WITH A DISCOURAGING FEAR OF 'NOT TO CHANGE LANE'.
THE LEXUS NX 300 F SPORT HAS BEEN AN EXTREMELY FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE. THE COLLUSION SYSTEM HAS PLACE MY FAMILY AS WELL AS MYSELF IN IMMEDIATE DANGER TO THE POINT THAT I DO NOT OPERATE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAS BRAKED UNEXPECTEDLY ON THE HIGHWAY AND ON BACK ROADS WITH NO ONE IN FRONT OF ME. IT HAS ALMOST CAUSED NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS . WE HAVE HAD THIS LEASE FOR ONE YEAR AND 9 MONTHS AND THE PROBLEM STARTED AT 15,000 MILES AND HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN 7 TIMES MOST IMPORTANTLY IN INCLEMENT WEATHER WHICH COULD HAVE CAUSE A PILE UP ON THE HIGHWAY. WE HAVE SPOKEN TO OUR DESIGNATED LEXUS DEALERSHIP EACH TIME AND BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE DURING THEIR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING THEY CONTINUE TO PUSH US AWAY. WE HAVE ALSO REACHED OUT TO THE GENERAL SALES MANAGER AND DUE TO A FAULTY CAR THAT WE WERE GIVEN THEY HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. MY HUSBAND AND I ALSO REACHED OUT TO LEXUS CORPORATE AND THEY STATE THAT ON THE SERVICE DOCUMENTATION NOT ONCE HAVE THEY STATED THAT DIAGNOSTIC TESTING HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED, WHICH SHOWS THE REGARD FOR OUR SAFETY IS NOT A PRIORITY . MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE TRIED TO WORK THIS ISSUE OUT IN HOUSE, BUT NOW WE HAVE DECIDED TO EXERCISE OUR CONSUMER RIGHTS AS A CUSTOMER. WE ARE EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED AND THIS CAR NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OF THE ROAD AS OUR LIVES HAVE BEEN IN DANGER AND THE VEHICLE IS TRULY UNSAFE.
ON DECEMBER 28 RETURNING FROM A CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY MY WINDSHIELD WAS HIT BY A PEBBLE IN THE RAIN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. IT STARTED AS A SMALL STAR AT THE POINT OF IMPACT BUT THE WINDSHIELD BEGAN TO CRACK ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD. I TOOK IT TO LEXUS MY LEXUS TIRE AND WINDSHIELD INSURANCE DID NOT COVER THE CRACKED WINDSHIELD. I SPENT A $500 DEDUCTIBLE FROM MY CAR INSURANCE AND HAD THE WINDSHIELD REPLACED. I NEVER HAVE SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT. I HAD A TOYOTA 1996 CAMRY NEW FOR 23 YEARS AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A PEBBLE GROW FROM A STAR SHAPE NICK TO A FULL ON CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD, THIS IS NOT NORMAL. I DO NOT THINK THIS WINDSHIELD IS SAFE. I TOOK THE CAR TO BE FIXED AND HAD IT REPLACED WITH THE LEXUS OEM WINDSHIELD TO KEEP THE CAR WITH LEXUS STANDARD EARLY JANUARY 2019. I USED A LEXUS VENDOR TO REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD. JANUARY 16, 2019 1.5 WEEKS LATER I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK DOWN THE HIGHWAY IN RAINY WEATHER WITH THE NEWLY INSTALLED WINDSHIELD A PEBBLE HITS IT A STAR SHAPE SHOWS UP. IT DIDN'T CRACK IMMEDIATELY, THIS TIME (THE SECOND TIME) THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED OVER NIGHT. I WAS GOING TO TAKE IT TO LEXUS TO FIX IT UNDER MY INSURANCE PLAN, BUT BY MORNING IT HAD CRACKED OVER NIGHT. NOW, I HAD TO SPEND ANOTHER $500.00 DEDUCTIBLE TO MY INSURANCE COMPANY, WHILE THE FIRST CLAIM WAS STILL BEING PROCESSED. THE 2019 LEXUS NX 300 IS FAULTY I AM VERY CONCERNED. THE WINDSHIELD IS REPLACE BUT I AM DRIVING ON THE DEFENSE EVERYDAY AFRAID THAT MY WINDSHIELD IS GOING TO BE HIT AGAIN. I WOULD REQUEST THAT LEXUS RECALLS THE 2019 LEXUS NX 300 WINDSHIELDS THEY ARE NOT SAFE.

THERE IS A REFLECTION ON THE INSIDE OF FRONT WINDOW SHIELD FROM THE SILVER TRIM THAT SURROUNDS THE DASHBOARD MEDIA SCREEN...IF THE SUN IS SHINING OR AT NIGHT THERE IS NO PROBLEM. THIS REFLECTION IS VERY ANNOYING AND TAKES ATTENTION AWAY FROM DRIVING SAFELY. I MENTIONED THIS TO AN EMPLOYEE AT THE DEALERSHIP AND HE REPLIED...YES I ALSO HAVE A NEW NX AND I SEE IT BUT IT DOESN'T BOTHER ME!! IT SURE BOTHERS ME.
TL* THE CONTACT RENTED A 2019 LEXUS NX300. WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH, A VEHICLE FAILED TO YIELD AT THE RED LIGHT AND CRASHED INTO THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR PUSHING THE VEHICLE VEHICLE INTO THE RIGHT LANE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUFFERED INJURIES TO THE HIP AND HEAD TO THE WINDOW THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED UNDER CASE NUMBER 41240. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND FILED A CASE UNDER NUMBER: 190731-000361. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER (DEALER INFORMATION WAS NOT KNOWN) BY THE RENTAL COMPANY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40. *DT *TR*JB
WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 35 MPH I HEARD A LIGHT "CLICKING" SOUND AND NOTICED A 0.5 INCH STAR-SHAPED CRACK RIGHT IN THE CENTER OF THE FRONT WINDSHIELD. AS I CONTINUED DRIVING THE CRACK STARTED GROWING ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD EVEN WHEN I PARKED THE CAR. OVERNIGHT, IT EXPANDED HORIZONTALLY AS CAN BE SEEN FROM THE ATTACHED "BEFORE AND AFTER" PHOTO AND IS NOW ALMOST 80% OF THE WINDSHIELD WIDTH. IN MY 50 YEARS OF DRIVING EXPERIENCE HAVING BEEN THROUGH A GOOD DOZEN OF SIMILAR SITUATIONS I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT WHEN TINY CHIPS OR CRACKS WOULD QUICKLY EXPAND TO THAT ENORMOUS SIZE. BECAUSE OF THE FAST CRACK PROPAGATION THIS IS POTENTIALLY A VERY DANGEROUS DEFECT FOR THE DRIVERS WHICH SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE GLASS MANUFACTURER TO FIX IT.
