This vehicle with less than 100,000 miles, that is less than 8 years old has an engine failure. This is due to a design defect which is known to Lincoln and Ford Motor Company as they have a technical service bulletin in regards to the coolant intrusion and engine failure. Lincoln is doing nothing to help fix the car with a faulty engine. This car will sputter when accelerating.
Rear camera operates irregularly. Sometimes camera works and sometimes it doesn’t. When shifting into R, we never know if rear camera will work or not. This is a very unsafe condition as it limits our ability to view images behind us when backing up. Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Camera has not been inspected by a service center due to cost of repair or replacement.
Vehicle will not engage gears; It remained in Park
BATTERY: THE BATTERY MONITOR SYSTEM SEEMS TO BE DAMAGED. IT KEEPS SHUTTING DOWN MY SYSTEMS SAYING TO PRESERVE BATTERY. AND WHEN AND IF MY SENSORS GO OFF, THEY HAVE A DIFFERENT SOUND AS IF IT'S NOT RECEIVING ENOUGH POWER TO NOTIFY ME OF POTENTIAL DANGER. ALSO, WHEN I'M LISTENING TO MY RADIO WITH THE ENGINE OFF, THE CAR SHUTS DOWN EVERYTHING GIVING A DISPLAY INDICATION THAT THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE BATTERY AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. ALL SYSTEMS SEEM TO BE WEAKENED, AND LACKING FULL POWER AND FULLY ASSISTING IN WHICH IT WAS INTENDED AND DESIGNED. BACK-UP CAMERA: CAMERA CONSISTENTLY GOES BLACK OR BLANK WHEN I'M IN REVERSE. SOMETIMES IT DISPLAYS MOMENTARILY AND THEN BLACKS OUT UPON MY REVERSING. THERE HAS BEEN SEVERAL INCIDENTS WHERE I HAVE COME CLOSE TO HITTING SOMEONE BACKING OUT/UP/IN, AS THE REAR VIEW CAMERA WITH BLANK OUT WHILE DOING SO. ALSO AT TIMES THERE IS NO TOO CLOSE WARNING FROM THE CAMERA OR SENSORS AROUND. (NOTE) PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE ABOVE-MENTIONED DOES NOT IN ANY WAY CONSTITUTE, OR IS LIMITED TO THE COMPLETE EXPERIENCE AND OR EXPOSURE TO THE SAFTY ONGOING ISSUES THAT EXSIST. THANK YOU, FOR YOUR IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE.

The contact stated that the vehicle required to be jumpstarted regularly. Additionally, the contact stated that the passenger's side running light and side-view mirror light, and the tailgate release button were inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the recall repair of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V378000 (Engine) was performed; however, the failure persisted, and the windshield wiper motors failed after the recall repair. The dealer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.
Automatic shift lever bushing broke disconnecting the shifting cable from shift arm. Immediately disabled vehicle while in motion. There has already been a recall for this for Ford products of this era, why not Lincolns? Very dangerous if this had happened at high speed!
The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln MKC. The contact stated that while she was unlocking the door, she noticed that the black plastic covering over the keyless entry pad located on the door frame was cracked. The contact stated that the keyless entry pad location on the passenger side had also begun to crack. The contact stated that the crack lines had spread and had the appearance of a spider web on both keypads. The contact was concerned that water could leak into the keypad and short circuit the pad. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the keypad panels needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 61,000.
Transition stalls when cold
Had one headlight issue for months that I knew about. Told BCM issue but the BCM for this vehicle has been discontinued. Was pulled over by the police only to be told the taillights are out. Took it back in and was told electrical issue that the dealer needed to address. Already knew it was the same issue, the BCM. Unfortunately, I have to get rid of this car, and it is still being sold. This car should be labeled a lemon as you will not pass an inspection once this happens and the part needed is no longer available, or repairable.
When the weather is hot (over 85F), the backup camera and alerts randomly stop working. The screen either goes black or moves up in multiple frames.
The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln MKC. The contact stated that while the wife was driving into an intersection the vehicle crashed into a second vehicle. During the crash, the front of the vehicle was severely damaged but only the front driver air bag located under the dashboard console had partially deployed. No other airbags in the vehicle were deployed to provide protection to the driver. No injuries were reported. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. During the crash, the vehicle was destroyed. The cause of the failures was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were contacted regarding the failure. The failure mileage was 75,000.
Our car is in excellent running and cosmetic condition. It has been well maintained and garaged and never in an accident. Recently my wife was driving and was getting angry gestures, honking, and yells from other cars. She discovered that her breaklights and blinkers were not functioning. It is an intermittent problem. It took the ford dealer multiple days to be able to recreate the problem. They state that the BCM needs to be replaced, but that it is a discontinued part that they cannot fix. It was discontinued in 2016. They also said they have at least one other car at their dealership with the same issue. I don't understand how they can just wash their hands of a safety issue for a car that is less than 7 years old.
Driver side Headlight goes on and off. Signal light not working. Dealership said new BCM is needed and unfortunately they have been discontinued/obsolete for this vehicle
Had to replace all 20 lug nuts at one time on my 2015 Lincoln MKC; described as swollen; "ACPZ *1012*H 247886 Nut
The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln MKC. The contact stated that after purchasing the vehicle, it was discovered while driving 35 MPH, that the steering wheel would stiffen and become difficult to turn in either direction. Additionally, while making a left turn there was a cracking sound coming from the steering column. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 122,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln MKC. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle made an abnormal sound. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a defective transmission pump. The dealer informed the contact that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000.
Vehicle year is listed as recalled under NHTSA recall 15V005 but not included based on production date. After starting vehicle and navigating into moving traffic, vehicle exhibited identical symptoms (stopping unexpectedly while in motion, no force to gas pedal, slowing to a stop/locking up as if in acc mode). Check engine light illuminated, vehicle restarts after full shut down and drives. Upon next subsequent start up vehicle stops unexpectedly at random and requires full restart all while in motion. Evaluation by licensed technician reviewing vehicle code lists fuel pump failure identical to recall specifications. High risk as shut down is unexpected and occurs while in motion among other vehicles at speeds at or above 5mph
Drivers side headlight intermittently goes on and off. Signal light does not work when this happens. Have been told that headlight control module would need to be replaced, but Lincoln and Ford no longer has the part.
Left headlight goes on and off. Dealer can’t find the problem. Has offered different very expensive options to see if it would work. One part that was told may be needed is the body control module which Lincoln and Ford has discontinued. Told they can try replacing the entire assembly but would not guarantee a fix. This repair is costly. Was then told I may need to purchase a new car instead of the dealer trying to resolve the problem. Car will not pass inspection if this is not fixed.
The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln MKC. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH the vehicle started losing motive power. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal and the vehicle failed to respond. The contact pulled off the road and turned off and restarted the vehicle; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that the wrench symbol was displayed. The contact stated that the vehicle was losing motive power and slower speeds; however, while depressing the accelerator pedal the vehicle was jerking while the RPM was increasing. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle had not been diagnosed and had not been repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that she had experienced a failure of the rear passenger’s side seat belt which started to tighten independently while her child was in her car seat and restrained by the belt. The contact stated that she had to cut the seat belt webbing to the disconnect button on the belt buckle. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 118,000.
Cheap two piece lug nut design. The outer shell of the lug nut deforms to the point you can not remove the lug nut. If you get a flat tire you can possibly be stranded due to these defective lug nuts.
The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln MKC. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V331000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages). The contact stated that the rear driver's side door failed to open as needed. The dealer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that she would need to pay for the diagnostic test and repair. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
The fuel pump/sensor. My vehicle died (steering column locked as well) while in motion on a busy highway. I took it to the Ford dealership and they replaced the sensor. After I picked it up from the dealership, my car died again on the same highway only this time I was in the middle of turning into oncoming traffic. I could not start my vehicle for several minutes. On both occasions, there were no signs or indications of pimp failure. The check engine light came in after the car stalled and. died. This time the dealership installed the whole control unit, sender and pump ASY and gasket. I have copies of invoices and parts.
The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln MKC. The contact stated that while stopped at a red traffic light, the vehicle stalled without warning. The independent mechanic informed the contact of NHTSA campaign number: 15V005000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the Vin was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln MKC. The contact stated that the rear driver’s side and rear middle seat belts failed to latch properly when the two passengers attempted to latch the seat belts into the seat belt buckles. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the dealer inspected the vehicle and informed the contact that she would need to pay for the seat belts replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA. The approximate failure mileage was 39,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln MKC. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V378000 (Engine) however, the part to do the recall repair was returned by the dealer to the manufacturer. Parts distribution disconnect.
All safety warning systems - blind spot, cross traffic, etc work through the vehicles FRONT DRIVER & PASSENGER speakers only . The MKC THX Certified system amplifier stops sending sound to the front speakers and drivers do nit get warnings causing significant safety risk.
I'VE BROUGHT MY CAR BACK NUMEROUS TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM, A PROBLEM THAT BEGAN WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH OR PURCHASE. I'VE ASKED FOR DOCUMENTATION OFF ALL THE 'REPAIRS' TO NO AVAIL. SOME OF THE WAYS THE PROBLEM PRESENTS ITS SELF INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING- SOON AFTER STARTING THE CAR & BEGINNING THE DRIVE IT COMPLETELY STALLS AND SHUTS OFF, IT COULD TAKE NUMEROUS TRIES BEFORE RESTART. OR OTHER TIMES WHILE DRIVING IT SUDDENLY SLOWS DOWN AND SHUTS OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC, WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR, THIS HAPPENED AND IT WOULD NOT RESTART! I HAD TO PUSH IT TO THE ADJACENT GAS STATION AND WAIT ALMOST 2 HOURS FOR DEALERS REPAIR TO SEND A TOW TRUCK. THE OTHER WAY THIS ISSUE MANIFESTS ITSELF IS AFTER FILLING THE TANK WITH GAS. IT STARTS, SPUTTERS AND SHUTS OFF! THE LAST TIME I BROUGHT IT IN THEY REFUSED A RENTAL, TOOK ABOUT 6 WEEKS TO REPAIR. I HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR A RENTAL. THEY FINALLY REIMBURSED ME BUT IT TOOK WEEKS AFTER THE 6 WEEKS OF SHELLING OUT WELL OVER $1,000
The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln MKC. The contact stated that visible air bubbles had formed inside the windshield glass. The contact stated that the bubbles were more prominent while driving in direct sunlight. The failure affected the visibility of the driver and was a safety hazard while operating the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but the contact was not offered any assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V484000 (Visibility); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE THE WRENCH LIGHT APPEARS AND ALSO THE ADVANCE AUTOTRAC WARNING. ALSO MY SIGNAL LIGHTS BLINK VERY FAST. THEY BOTH GO OFF FOR AWHILE AND THE SIGNAL LIGHTS BLINK SLOW AGAIN, BUT WILL REAPPEAR ONCE STARTING THE VEHICLE AGAIN. CAR SEEMS TO STALL WHEN THIS HAPPENS. DEALER SAYS THEY CAN'T FIND AND ISSUE AND BULBS SEEM TO WORK FINE.

MY LINCOLN MKC 2015, IS USING TO MUCH GAS IS THERE SOMETHING CAN BE DONE, I DRIVE FROM FORT WAYNE, IN TO DETROIT, MI I USES 3/4 TANK OF GAS. I SHOULD ONLY USE 1/2 RANK OF GAS. PLEASE HELP
ON FEBRUARY 11, 2020 MY 2015 LINCOLN MKC HAD BEEN SITTING STATIONARY IN MY GARAGE FOR 26 HOURS WHEN THE ENGINE SPONTANEOUSLY CAUGHT FIRE. I OPENED MY GARAGE, SMOKE WAS POURING OUT AND THERE WERE FLAMES COMING OUT OF THE HOOD AT THE WINDSHIELD LINE. THE CAR HAD JUST TURNED 40,000MILES, WAS CERTIFIED PREOWNED, SERVICED AT LINCOLN DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED. AFTER THE FIRE FIGHTERS LEFT, THE BATTERY CONTINUED TO SMOKE UNTIL A WIRE WAS DISENGAGED.
VEHICLE WON'T START DUE TO DISCHARGED BATTERY.
THE SPEEDOMETER DOES NOT REFLECT THE CORRECT SPEED. GENERALLY, THE SPEEDOMETER WILL SHOW A SPEED 5MPH FASTER THAN THE ACTUAL SPEED OF THE VEHICLE. IN MOTION, HIGHWAY OR CITY DRIVING.
I AM DRIVING IN THE CAR AND THE CAR IS TURNED OFF, THE CAR IS SOMETIMES DRIVING AND THE CAR STOPS AND THE CAR IS SLOWED DOWN, THE TRANSMISSION IS THE FIFTH TIME I TAKE IT TO THE DEALER AND IT RETURNS TO THE DAME PROBLEMI AM AFRAID OF CRASHING BECAUSE THE CAR STOP WITHOUT WANTING
WHEN THE CAR SIT IN THE SUN OR IN DIRECT HEAT TOO LONG, THE BACK-UP CAMERA WILL NOT WORK AND ON THE NAVIGATION SCREEN, IT WILL SAY CAMERA NOT WORKING, CONTACT DEALERSHIP. WHEN I PULL IN MY GARAGE AND OR THE TEMPERATURE OF THE CAR COOL DOWN, THEN THE CAMERA STARTS BACK WORKING. IT ONLY DO THIS IN THE SUMMER TIME. IT'S GOING ON A SEVERAL YEARS OF DOING THIS. THE MOST DAY THAT THIS HAPPENED WAS ON 5/20/19. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP BACK IN 2017 AND THEY WANTED ME TO SHOW PROOF THAT DAY BUT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN THAT DAY. DEALERSHIP HAVE RECORD OF ME REPORTING THIS.
ON 5/18/19, CAR WAS SITTING OUTSIDE ALL DAY. THE TEMPERATURE REACHED95 DEGREES THAT DAY. THAT NIGHT AS I WAS LEAVING, I DECIDED TO OPEN THE SUNROOF AND WHEN I HIT THE BUTTON, THE PANEL WOULD ONLY OPEN 1/2 INCH. I THOUGHT SOMETHING WAS BLOCKING IT SO I CLOSED IT BACK. WHEN I DID THAT, THE INSIDE SUNROOF PANEL MATERIAL STARTED WRINKLING UP. I PROCEEDED TO OPEN AGAIN AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I LEFT IT ALONE UNTIL THE NEXT DAY. I TRIED OPENING IT AGAIN AND THE NEXT TIME I HEARD SOMETHING SNAPPED. AS I WAS INVESTIGATING THE INSIDE PANEL, IT HAD RIPPED. IT LOOKED AS THOUGH THE SUN HAD MELTING THE PLASTIC AND AS IT COOLED, WHEN THE SUNROOF OPENED, IT RIPPED THE INSIDE PANEL COVER. NOW, THIS HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THERE NEED TO BE BETTER ANOTHER TYPE OF MATERIAL THAT'S NOT AFFECTED BY THE SUN AND ALSO A BETTER TINT TO PROTECT THE GLASS FROM GETTING TO HOT AND CAUSING TRAPPED HEAT TO MELT PLASTIC AND/OR ADHESIVE TO COME APART. THIS IS A HAZARD IF THE SUNROOF CAN'T OPEN IF FIRE, CRASH, OR SMOKE IS TRAPPED INSIDE THE VEHICLE. I HAVE A INFANT AND TWO DOGS THAT RIDE IN THIS VEHICLE.
THIS HAS HAPPENED 2XS WITHIN THE LAST 4 WEEKS. CAR ONLY HAS 49,000 MILES. CAR STARTS TO SHAKE WHEN DRIVING SPEED OF 50 MILESHR APPOX. THEN CAR SHUTS OFF, NO BRAKES, AND CANNOT STEERING. DRIFTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. TRIED TO START..IT DID START UP AGAIN AFTR 5 MINUTES. HAD IT INTO 2 DEALERS(LINCOLN) AND COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM, NO COMPUTER ERRORS ABOUT WHAT HAD HAPPENED. NOW CAR HAS BEEN IN ANOTHER DEALER GARAGE FOR 8 DAYS. CANNOT FIND THE PROBLEM. AFRAID TO DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAYS. NEED THIS ADDRESSED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED. NEED HELP WITH THIS!!
SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN SEPTEMBER OF 2018 IT HAS BEEN TOWED TO THE DEALER TWICE AND I HAVE DRIVEN TO THE DEALER 3 TIMES. THE BATTERY CONTINUES TO GO DEAD AFTER I PARK AND LOCK THE VEHICLE IN MY GARAGE. I HAVE WENT INTO THE GARAGE AND THE VEHICLE LIGHTS WOULD COME ON WITHOUT THE KEY FOB. I HAVE HAD THE BATTERY REPLACED AND IT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN. MY CAR IS AT THE DEALER AS I WRITE THIS COMPLAINT. LINCOLN STATED THAT: THEY CHECKED FOR LIGHTS COMING ON COULD NOT VERIFY AT THIS TIME CHECK OASIS AND NO SYMPTOM FOR CONCERN LET SIT OVER WEEKEND AND STILL NO LIGHT CONFIRMATION. NO PROBLEM FOUND AT THIS TIME3/5/2019. 3/17/2019 VEHICLE RIGHT BACK AT THE DEALER SAME PROBLEM.
MY VEHICLE HAS HAD 4 INSTANCES WHERE IT WILL NOT START AND VEHICLE NOTES THAT THE BATTERY IS LOW. THIS HAS LEFT ME STRANDED AND NEEDING A TOW OR JUMP. DEALERSHIP HAD BEEN UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE DRAW AND HAD REPLACED THE BATTERY BUT ISSUE HAS OCCURRED SINCE. I HAVE CONTACTED LINCOLN BUT THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO ASSIST WITH GETTING THIS FIXED AS IT IS AN INTERMITTENT ISSUE. THE CAR HAS FAILED TO START AT THE DEALERSHIP ONCE. A SEARCH ONLINE WILL SHOW THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE AND NO ONE HAS FOUND A SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM.
SPONTANEOUS ACCELERATION WITHOUT OPERATOR ERROR OR PARTICIPATION WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. CRUISE CONTROL WAS NOT ON AT THE TIME. THE VEHICLE JUST ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN. ALSO, WINDSHIELD WIPERS INCREASED IN SPEED WITHOUT OPERATOR PARTICIPATION. EACH OCCURRENCE WAS UNRELATED WITH THE OTHER.

I AM THE OWNER OF A 2015 LINCOLN MKC WITH 50,406 MILES WITH A BAD TRANSMISSION. THE CAR WOULD 'JERK' AS IT AUTOMATICALLY SHIFT INTO GEAR WHEN DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY OR ON A LOCAL ROAD. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM FOR ANY DRIVER.HAVING A 2015 MODEL CAR WITH 50,406 MILES HAVING A TRANSMISSION REBUILT, THE SAFETY OF THIS CAR NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED.
MY LINCOLN IS EATING WAY TO MUCH GAS. I SEE THAT THEY HAD A RECALL ON THE PUMP FUEL AND I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT IF THIS IS A PROBLEM. I CAN FILL UP MY TRUCK AND GO A COUPLE OF BLOCKS AND I HAVE TO FILL UP MY TRUCK WITHIN TWO DAYS.
