TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 LINCOLN MKX. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, CLICKING AND POPPING NOISES WERE HEARD FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
APPROXIMATELY 18 MONTHS AGO, I HAD THE LOWER CONTROL ARM REPLACED ON MY VEHICLE, AS IT WAS FOUND TO BE FAULTY AND COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. WHEN REPLACED, I WAS TOLD THAT I SHOULD NOT EXPERIENCE ANY ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS WITH IT. TODAY, I TOOK MY CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP, AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE CONTROL ARM WAS FAULTY AGAIN AND NEEDS TO REPLACED. THIS TIME, IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. IN READING MANY OF THE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR MODEL YEAR, I NOTICE THAT MANY PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE, WHICH LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT IN THE PARTS BEING USED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 LINCOLN MKX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH AND THERE WAS AN EXPLOSION UNDER THE HOOD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION EXPLODED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. A FEW MONTHS LATER, THE DRIVER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE BALL JOINT FRACTURED AND THE WHEEL WAS POINTING OUTWARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER AND WAS AWAITING REPAIR. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE BALL JOINT AND AXLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000.

CLICK AND GRINDING FROM FRONT END WHEN TURNING. EVENTUALLY BEARINGS HAD TO BE REPLACED AND IT WAS ONLY 1 YEAR OLD. A COUPLE MONTHS LATER RIGHT FRONT WHEEL BROKE OFF WHILE DRIVING AND ALMOST CRASHED, IT TOOK FORD OVER A MONTH UNTIL I GOT MY VEHICLE BACK, NOW REAR SHOCKS ARE LEAKING AND NEED TO BE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY, I WAS JUST TOLD TODAY THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS LEAKING DUE TO A FAULTY PART THAT IS BROKEN. FRONT SUSPENSION CLUNK. WHEN TURNING LEFT OR DRIVING OVER ROUGH ROADS I NOTICE A CLUNK OR CLICK. I HAD BROUGHT THIS TO THE FORD / LINCOLN DEALERS ATTENTION AND THEY SAID THAT FORD IS WORKING ON THE FIX AND IT WAS NOT DANGEROUS. I ASKED FOR MY PAPERWORK FOR THE VARIOUS REPAIRS THAT WERE LOOKED AT OR COMPLETED AND THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE GOING TO KEEP IT UNTIL THEY HEARD BACK FROM FORD. I DON'T WANT SOME POTENTIAL PROBLEM TO GO UNNOTICED. I BELIEVE THIS PROBLEM IS LINKED TO THE FAILURE OF THE SUSPENSION. IF YOU PUSH ON THE DRIVERS SIDE SUSPENSION UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE IT WILL MAKE A CLICK NOISE. *TR
