TIRE VIBERATES AT 55-60 MILES. DRIVES ROUGH AT ALL SPEED.( DOT NUMBER: TIRE SIZE: 17 )
THE CAR WAS PARKED IN OUR DRIVEWAY. SEVERAL MINUTES LATER IT ROLLED OUT OF PARK UNOCCUPIED DOWN OUR DRIVEWAY ACCROSS THE STREET INTO OUR NEIGHBORS HOUSE. FORD DENIES ANYTHING. WE HAVE A POLICE REPORT AND VIDEO SHOWING THE CAR IN PARK UNDER A PILE OF RUBBLE. PLEASE HELP. *AK
ORIGINAL SET OF TIRES LASTED ONLY 21000 MILES, REPLACED BY FIRESTONE, SECOND SET ONLY LASTED 7000 MILES ON REAR OF VEHICLE. NO WARRANTY HELP FROM FIRESTONE, OR FORD ON EITHER OCCASION.HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR TIRES FOR 3 WEEKS. DASBOARD LIGHTS DIM ON THE STEREO DIM ON THEIR OWN, ALL COMPONETS ON THE STEREO ONLY, WHILE THE REST OF THE DASHBOARD IS CONTROLLED BY SWITCH. HEATED SEATS HAVE BROKEN 3 TIMES, TRANSMISSON HAS BEEN REPAIRED 3 TIMES, SLIPPING, ROUGH SHIFTING, DOWN SHIFTING ON ITS OWN WHILE IN SELECT SHIFT MODE, STUCK IN 2ND GEAR, VEHICLE WAS DELIVERED FROM FACTORY, 2 QUARTS LOW, WAS DISCOVERED AFTER TRANMISSION STARTED TO SLIP AFTER OWNING THE VEHICLE FOR 2 WEEKS. DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LOCKS ON IT'S OWN ALL THE TIME, LOCKING THE OWNER OUT OF THE VEHICLE. HAVE HAD TO CALL A LOCK SMITH 2 TIMES, WHILE KEYS WERE IN THE IGNITION.*AK (TIRESIZE: 17)( DOT NUMBER: TIRE SIZE: 17 )
WHILE DRIVING ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WOULD GO DOWN AND VEHICLE WOULD SHUT DOWN. IT WOULD PERIODICALLY SHUTDOWN WITHOUT ADVANCE WARNING. ALSO, ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS W/ POWER WINDOWS. DEALER HAS NO REMEDY AT THIS TIME. PLEASE FILL IN ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. *AK
ONGOING PROBLEM WITH ENGINE STALLING WHEN DECREASING IN SPEED. VEHICLE BEEN TO DEALER'S SHOP ON THREE OCCASIONS, AND THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURRING. FEEL FREE TO PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
ENGINE WARNING LAMP LIT IN INSTRUMENTATION CLUSTER. ENGINE NOISY,RUNS ROUGH. *AK
VEHICLE ACCELERATED OUT OF CONTROL FROM A DEAD STOP, RESULTED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION AT 35-40 MPH INTO A PALM TREE. UPON IMPACT, AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, RESULTING IN MINOR INJURIES. MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK *ML
3RD. TRANSMISSION IN CAR CAR CONTINUES TO LUNGE FORWARD OR BACK WHEN SHIFTED. *AK
VEHICLE STALLS AT ANY SPEED. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER 3 TIMES. DEALER , HAS REPLACED COMPUTER, BUT HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO REMEDY PROBLEM. VEHICLE HAS STALLED 4 TIMES. *AK
WINDSHIELD WIPER ISSUE NOT RESPONDED TO BY DEALER OR MANUFACTURER. I WAS BLOWN OFF TWICE ON THIS ISSUE. FIRST WINDSHIELD WIPERS DID NOT OPERATE WHILE FLUID WAS LOW. IT AFFECTED SAFETY SINCE THE FLUID WAS SHOT ONTO WINDOW MANUALLY WHILE OPERATING VEHICLE AND THE I HAD TO PULL OFF THE ROAD CAUSE I COULD NOT SEE THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD. ONLY AFTER MOVING WIPER FROM AUTO INTERMITTENT TO MANUAL WOULD WIPERS OPERATE. DANGEROUS SITUATION CAN ARISE 1ST TIME THROUGH THIS SITUATION. ALSO TRANSMISSION FAILURE. *AK
CONSUMER WAS DRIVING ABOUT 55MPH AND 300FT FROM TRAFFIC LIGHT WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES, AND CONSUMER'S FOOT HIT THE GAS PEDAL . HE WAS UNABLE TO STOP IN TIME. *AK
CONSUMER BELIEVES THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND BRAKE PEDAL ARE TO CLOSE TOGETHER BY DESIGN CAUSING HIS FOOT TO HIT THE ACCELERATOR WHILE BRAKING RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE LURCHING FORWARD. NLM
BRAKE PEDAL SEPARATION IS NOT ADEQUATE IN DISTANCE FROM THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WHICH COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL APPLICATION. MJS
WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD VEHICLE MAKES NOISE. DEALER SAYS IT'S THE ABS TRYING TO ENGAGE WITHOUT APPLICATION. DEALER IS NOT ABLE TO REPAIR. *AK
WHILE TRAVELING 20-25 MPH AND MAKING A TURN STEERING WHIEEL LOCKED UP, CAUSING VEHICLE TO SKID, AND RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK

FIRESTONE TIRES WERE WEARING SO BADLY, CONSUMER REPLACED THEM AND IS REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT, A RECALL(00T005) STATEMENT WAS RECEIVED. *SLC
I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE IN FOR OIL CHANGE/TIRE BALANCE/AND ROTATION. THE TEVH. ADVISED ME HE HAD TO REPLACE A TIRE. I ASKED WHY?. THE REASON WAS TREAD SEPARATION, OF WHICH THEY SHOWED ME. I WAS BESIDE MYSELF ESPECIALLY SINCE THE FIRESTONE RECALL AND DEATHS DUE TO FAULTY TIRES. I DEMANDED THE DEALER TO REPLACE ALL FIVE TIRES. NOW WITH NEW REPLACEMENT TIRES THE VEHICLE WOBBLES AND VIBRATES IN AN ENOURMOUS WAY. IM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. THE DEALER STATES ITS NOT FORDS PROBLEM. WHOS IS IT? I JUST BROUGHT THE VEHICLE BACK FOR ANOTHER TIRE BALANCE. ITS STILL THE SAME, ACTUALLY WORSE, IF YOU DRIVE OVER 50 MPH THE VEHICLE FEEL LIKE ITS GOING TO SHAKE APART. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS MATTER. WHEN DRIVING CONSUMER NOTICED VIBRATION COMING FROM FRONT END OF VEHICLE. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER. DEALER REBALANCED VEHICLE. AFTER VEHICLE WAS REBALANCED THERE WAS STILL VIBRATION IN FRONT END. VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED, AND INSPECTOR LINKED THE PROBLEM TO TIRES. ALL FOUR TIRES WERE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT ON A LINCOLN, NAVIGATOR, 2000, TIRE SIZE P27560R17 WITH 19000 MILES ON THEM. THEY WERE SEPARATING AT SIDEWALL. *AK
WHEN BRAKES WERE CHANGED VEHICLE HAD BRAKE FAILURE, NOT STOPPING. THEY FAILED TO WORK WITH CAPACITY UNTIL A HUNDRED MILES. THIS WAS THE EXPLANATION GIVEN BY GENERAL MANAGER AT DEALERSHIP. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP, WHICH CORRECTED THE PROBLEM DUE TO AN IMPROPER CUTTING OF BRAKE ROTORS. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. *AK
WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY THE TRANSMISSION STARTED SLIPPING AND THE TRANSMISSION SHUT DOWN. THE DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. MR
SEVERAL OF THE TIRES EXPERIENCED SIDEWALL SEPARTION, THE CONSUMER REPLACED ONE OF THE TIRES BEFORE HE LEARNED OF THE RECALL ON THE TIRES. THE CONSUMER STATES THE PRICE ALLOWED FOR REPLACING DEFECTIVE TIRES WAS LOWER THAN WHAT THE TIRE DEALERS CHARGE. *YH
CONSUMER STATED SHE HAD TO PURCHASE TIRES FOR THE VEHICLE BEFORE THERE WAS EVER A RECALL, DUE TO THE TIRES LOOSING TRACTION ON THE STREETS, HOWEVER THE COMPANY ONLY WANTS TO REIMBURSE 110.00 PLUS TAX WHEN THE COST OF THE REPLACEMENT TIRE WAS MORE. (CONTINENTAL CONTITRAC AW-DOT ADT044U4400)*JB
THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED IRREGULAR TREAD WEAR, THE REAR TIRE WAS REPLACED DUE TO SEPARATION OF THE BELT WHICH WAS CAUSED BY THE IRREGULAR WEAR. *SCC *JB
THE REPLACEMENT TIRES WERE WARPED AND DID NOT STAY BALANCED, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO BOUNCE AND PULL TO THE LEFT. *JB *TS
CONTINENTAL TIRES REFUSED TO REIMBURSE THE CONSUMER FOR PURCHASE OF NEW TIRES. NOW A RECALL, BUT MANUFACTURER REFUSES REQUEST FOR REIMBURSEMENT BECAUSE IT WAS RECEIVED TOO LATE.*JB...*AK
THE REAR DOOR FAILED TO CLOSE, THE CONSUMER STATED THE LATCH WAS BROKE. *JB
THE FLOOR MATS BECAME TANGLED IN THE BRAKE AND ACCELERATOR PEDALS, WHICH CAUSED CONSUMER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE.*JB
VIBRATION WAS COMING FROM FRONT END OF VEHICLE. DEALER WAS CONTACTED, AND TECHNICIAN REPLACED ENGINE TWICE/ FUEL INJECTION /ENGINE COIL SPARKS PLUGS / FLYWHEEL AND TORQUE CONVERTER. VEHICLE STILL HAS PROBLEMS. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
THE CONSUMER RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE #02T012000 CONCERNING CONTINENTAL/TREAD SEPARATION. CONSUMER WAS PUT ON A WAITING LIST TO RECEIVE THE NEW TIRES. DRIVER'S SIDE REAR TIRE IS SHOWING PREMATURE FAILURE (CONTINENTAL TIRE, P27560R17 . *AK TIRES WERE SO OUT OF ROUND THAT THEY COULDN'T BE BALANCED. THE CONSUMER PURCHASED A REPLACEMENT TIRE FROM CONTINENTAL AND THE TREAD WAS SHAVED ABOUT 18 INCHES TO MAKE IT MORE ROUND. THE CONSUMER FEARS SEPARATION MAY OCCUR. *PH *NLM
WHEN VEHICLE'S SPEED REACHED 68 MPH THERE WAS SEVERE VIBRATION. DEALERSHIP INDICATED THAT TIRES WERE NOT WEARING EVENLY, AND MADE AN ADJUSTMENT. WHEN THE TIRE ADJUSTMENT WAS COMPLETED VIBRATION STARTED BETWEEN 34-38 MPH. *AK
DEALERSHIP NOTICED WHILE SERVICING VEHICLE THAT A HOLE DEVELOPED ON THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE SIDEWALL. DEALERSHIP INDICATED THAT THE CAUSE OF THE HOLE WAS DUE TO A DEFECT AND NOT TO NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR.*AK
