2004 MAZDA, MODEL MAZDA3 PASSENGER CAR, FRONT WHEEL DRIVE, 16,000 MILES. THE REAR WHEELS CONTINUALLY SHOW LOTS OF BRAKE DUST WHILE THE FRONT WHEELS ARE ALWAYS CLEAN. THIS INDICATES MOST BRAKING IS DONE BY REAR WHEELS CONTRARY TO EXPECTATIONS. DEALER IGNORES MY COMPLAINTS. *NM
THE PASSENGER'S SIDE AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY IN THE 2004 MAZDA 3 UPON IMPACT. *TS ***NO ANSWER REQUIRED*** THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED AN EYE INJURY. THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS. A FEW MONTHS AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED THE CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL FOR THE CRASH ZONE SENSOR. JAN 2005 THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE SENSOR WAS REPLACED. SINCE THE ACCIDENT THE CONSUMER IS SKEPTICAL AS TO WHETHER THE RECALL REPAIRS PERFORMED. *NM
THE CAR IS A MAZDA 3 2004 WITH 18000 MILES. I BOUGHT MY WIFE THIS MAZDA 3 IN MAY OF 2005. WITH 16000 MILES. THE CAR WAS RUNNING GREAT AND IT IS A PLEASURE TO DRIVE. 3 DAYS AGO I STARTED TO HEAR A NOISE WHEN YOU TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. SOUND IS LIKE A CLICKING SOUND THAT YOU MADE WHEN YOU PUT YOUR BASEBALL CARDS ON YOUR BICYCLE TIRE. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, THE TRANSMISSION IS BEING REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. *NM
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURE VEHICLE, MAZDA 3 MANUAL, WAS RETURNED TO DEALER AFTER AIRBAG RECALL MAINTENANCE WAS PERFORMED. VEHICLE'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SUFFERED FROM MANY COMPLAINTS. SERVICE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT A LOOSE GROUND WIRE AT ONE OF THE FUSE PANELS WAS THE FAULT. VEHICLE'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM RAN AS PROMISED FOR MONTHS UNTIL BOTH LOW-BEAM HEADLAMPS BLEW AT THE SAME TIME. THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN NOTIFIED AND ACTION WILL TAKE PLACE. I HAVE EXPERIENCED SEVERAL ELECTRICAL FAULTS IN THE VEHICLE AND ASSUME MANY MORE ARE TO COME. SAFETY WAS SEVERELY COMPROMISED. NO HEADLAMPS AT NIGHT IN A CONSTRUCTION ZONE IS VERY MUCH A PROBLEM. *JB
BUCKING AND LOSS OF POWER, NOISE COMING FROM AREA NEAR FUEL PUMP UNTIL PART FAILED COMPLETELY AND CAR WOULD NOT START, OR IT WAS TAKEN IN FOR REPAIR BEFORE COMPLETE FAILURE TO BE REPLACED. FOUR FUEL PUMPS HAVE BEEN REPLACED IN 10 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP OF NEW CAR. *NM
DT: THE CONSUMER STATED 2004 MAZDA RX 8 STALLED WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 20-35 MPH. THERE WERE NO LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD BEFORE THIS HAPPENED. , BUT AFTERWARDS ALL THE LIGHTS CAME ON, AND THE VEHICLE DIED. THE CONSUMER REPORTED THIS TO THE DEALER ,AND THEY DID THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST, AND FOUND NOTHING BUT SUGGESTED THAT HE DO A TUNE UP ON THE CAR. THE CAR HAS HAD NO OTHER PROBLEMS AND HAS DRIVEN FINE BEFORE THIS INCIDENT. THE OWNER NOTICED BEFORE THIS HAPPENED THAT HE HAD DRIVEN ABOUT 100 MILES WHEN THE CAR STALLED. THIS WAS ON BOTH OCCASIONS. THE DEALER DID DO A COMPUTER UPDATE. *AK
SINCE FEBRUARY 2005 I HAVE HAD MY MAZDA RX8 SERVICED FOR ENGINE NOISES, DECELERATION PROBLEMS, STALLING PROBLEMS AND RESTART PROBLEMS. THE VEHICLE BEGINS TO IDLE ROUGH AND JUST STALLS OUT (TWICE IN THE MIDDLE OF BUSY INTERSECTIONS WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC-LIFE THREATENING SITUATION) AND CANNOT BE RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE HAS TO BE TOWED IN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR RESTART. THE PCM HAS BEEN REFLASHED SEVERAL TIMES, PLUGS HAVE BEEN CHANGED AND THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. I AM AFRAID FOR MY LIFE AND WILL NOT LET ANYONE ELSE RIDE IN THE CAR WITH ME. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF THE LIFE THREATENING SITUATION AND I WANT TO KNOW IF I HAVE ANY RECOURSE IN GETTING MAZDA TO BUY BACK A CAR I CANNOT DRIVE. MY LUCK WILL RUN OUT IN THIS VEHICLE AND NOT ONLY WILL I BE INJURED OR KILLED, BUT SO WILL OTHER DRIVERS (ONCOMING TRAFFIC OR TRAFFIC BEHIND ME). I HAVE CALLED MAZDA HEADQUARTERS TWICE ABOUT THIS RECURRING PROBLEM AND AM AWAITING A CALL BACK FROM THE SECOND PHONE CALL INTO MAZDA. APPARENTLY THEY DON'T FEEL IT IS AS BAD AS IT IS. *NM
WHILE PULLING INTO MY DRIVEWAY, I WAS BRAKING TO PARK WHILE THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WAS STILL IN DRIVE. SUDDENLY, THE ENGINE STARTED TO REV ON ITS OWN, WHILE MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE. THE TACHOMETER STARTED READING IN THE DANGER ZONE, AND THE ENGINE WAS REVVING OUT OF CONTROL. WHITE SMOKE STARTED TO COME OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. I WAS ABLE TO PUT THE CAR INTO PARK AND TURN OFF THE ENGINE. IT WAS QUITE A FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE.
(1) I PURCHASED MY 2004 MAZDA 3S IN MARCH OF 2004. I HAVE ENJOYED IT VIRTUALLY MAINTENANCE FREE (BESIDES ROUTINE) FOR OVER 1 YEAR. (2) IN APRIL OF 2005, I TURNED THE KEY TO START THE CAR. IT HESITATED FOR OVER 10 SECONDS AND FINALLY TURNED OVER. I WAS ALARMED, AND AFTER A FEW MORE TIMES OF THIS HAPPENING, I CALLED MY DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY. (3) IT WAS DECIDED BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT THAT IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP. I RECEIVED A NEW FUEL PUMP (UNDER WARRANTY) AND AFTER A WEEK, IT STARTED DOING IT AGAIN. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN, AND MY CAR WENT BACK INTO THE SHOP. THEY CLEANED THE BATTERY, AND ALL OF THE CONNECTIONS, RULING OUT A POSSIBLE ELECTRIC PROBLEM. IT WAS OKAY, THEN IT STARTED DOING IT AGAIN. I HAD IT IN FOR THE THIRD TIME, AND THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID THE FUEL PUMP THEY USED TO REPLACE THE ORIGINAL MUST HAVE BEEN OF THE SAME POOR QUALITY, SO FUEL PUMP #3 WENT IN. WELL, WHEN I STARTED THE CAR TO DRIVE IT OUT OF THE SERVICE LOT, IT HESITATED AGAIN! I SAT IN MY CAR AND CRIED. I WENT RIGHT BACK INTO THE SERVICE DEPT., AND ASKED THEM TO TAKE CARE OF IT.THEY SAID SINCE IT RAN FINE, IT WAS ONLY THE STARTING ISSUE, IT WAS OKAY TO DRIVE 700 MILES ROUND TRIP TO MASSACHUSETTS (MY PREVIOUSLY PLANNED WEEKEND TRIP) AND THEY'D SEE ME WHEN I RETURNED. WELL, IT SURVIVED THE DRIVE, AND I HAD THE CHANCE TO REFILL THE FUEL TANK 3 WHOLE TIMES WITH 2 DIFFERENT TYPES OF GAS THAN I NORMALLY USE. IT STILL HESITIATED A LOT, BUT WAS ACTING THE SAME. I DROVE IT STRAIGHT TO THE SHOP THAT WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AFTER I RETURNED TO PA, AND JUST RECEIVED A CALL TODAY THAT THE TECHNICIAN FROM JAPAN WAS LOOKING AT IT, AND DECIDED IT NEEDED A NEW FUEL PUMP. YES, FUEL PUMP #4! I AM BEYOND FED UP WITH THIS CAR, AND I AM CONTACTING THE PA LEMON LAW ATTORNEYS TO SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO DESPITE THE FACT THAT MY CAR IS OVER 12 MONTHS AND 12,000 MILES OLD. (P.S. I AM ALSO EXPERIENCING THE ROTOR WEAR PROBLEMS, BUT I'M TAKING CARE OF ONE PROBLEM AT A TIME. MAYBE MAZDA WILL BUY THIS SUCKER BACK!) *TR
DT: THE ENGINE JUST TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE CUT OFF TWICE WHEN TRYING TO GO UP HILL AT 20 MPH. THIS HAPPENED ON JULY 20TH, 2005. THE EVOLUTION WAS ROUGHLY AT 10,000 FEET. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER. *AK *SC
2 OCCURANCES IN 3000 MILES OF ENGINE LOOSING POWER, THEN STARTS TO BUCK ABOVE 3500-4000 RPM. THIS FIRST HAPPENED ON THE FREEWAY AND IT WAS DIFFICULT STAYING OUT OF THE WAY OF TRAFFIC UNTIL I COULD EXIT. THE SECOND OCCURANCE WAS AFTER I HAD EXITED THE FREEWAY ONTO A 2 LANE. I THEN DROVE 30 MILES TO HOME. BOTH TIMES IT WAS OK THE NEXT MORNING. DEALER CANNOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. SEVERAL OWNERS OF THIS MODEL CAR (2004 MAZDASPEED MIATA )HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM AS REPORTED ON WWW.MAZDA-SPEED.COM FORUM.
DURING ACCELLERATION LOSES POWER, HESITATES, FEELS LIKE ITS GOING TO STALL AND SMOKE COMES OUT OF EXHAUST. DEALER HAS REPLACED FUEL PUMP, PROBLEM GOT BETTER FOR A SHORT PERIOD BUT HAS BEGUN TO REOCCUR. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT SO THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO FOR ME. TWO FAILED REPAIR ATTEMPTS - COUNTING UP TO LEMON LAW!
DT: THIS MAZDA HAD A VIBRATION PROBLEM . RECENTLY, HAD A STALLING PROBLEM. THE DEALER TRIED TO GET CONSUMER TO TRADE I IN VEHICLE. AFTER STOPPING AT A STOP SIGN WOULD HAVE TO PUSH THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR TO GET IT TO MOVE. THE SERVICE MANAGER FOUND OUT THE WERE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS IN HIGH HEAT AREAS.. THIS STARTED HAPPENING ON JUNE 30, 2005.*AK
ENGINE STALLS--ON HOT DAYS--YOU'RE ON EXPRESSWAY YOU CAN FEEL POWER LOSS---THEN WHEN YOU GET OFF EXPRESSWAY OR HIT TRAFFIC JAM --THE CAR STALLS...SOMETIMES YOU CAN GET IT TO START..AND IDLE IS BAD BUT MAIN GOAL IS TO GET OUT OF THE WAY.....SOMETIMES IF ON THE SIDE OF ROAD YOU CAN SIT FOR AWHILE AND THEN START IT UP LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED???
DT: THE CONSUMER OWNS A 2004 MAZDA 6I. WHEN THE CONSUMER SLOWED DOWN IN FIRST GEAR TO COME TO A STOP THE RPM STARTED TO REV UP ABOUT 2000 OR 3000 RPMS AND THE ENGINE STARTED TO REV UP ALSO. WHEN THE CONSUMER WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO REV. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE IN THE SAME DAY. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN VERY MUCH SINCE. THE CONSUMER WILL BE TAKING THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER NEXT WEEK. THERE WAS NO MODIFICATIONS ON THE ENGINE EVERYTHING WAS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT. *JB
DT: WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE ABOUT 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE JUMPED ABOUT 4 FEET INTO THE AIR AND FLIPPED OVER ABOUT 4 TIMES ACCORDING TO EYE WITNESSES. THE SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY IN FACT NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. IT WAS NOT RAINING AND AS FAR AS THE CONSUMER COULD REMEMBER SHE DID NOT HIT ANYTHING. THERE WAS NO BLOW OUT OF THE TIRES. *JB
VEHICLE WILL NOT START OR IDLE FALLS VEHICLE, MAZDA3 MANUAL, WOULD NOT START IN DRIVEWAY ON COOL SPRING SUNDAY EVENING. TOWING SERVICE WAS DISPATCHED AND VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE CLOSEST MAZDA DEALERSHIP. AFTER SEVERAL DEALERS CALLS TO MAZDA'S CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS, THE SERVICE PROFESSIONAL WAS TOLD TO REPLACE THE IGNITION KEY AND MICROCHIPS. AFTER FOUR DAYS I WENT TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE IN THE DEALERS LOT THE IDLE BEGAN TO FALL ONCE AGAIN; HOWEVER, IT DID START THIS TIME. A FEW MILES FROM THE DEALERSHIP THE IDLE BECAME SO HARD TO DEAL WITH THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE ORIGINAL SERVICE DEALERSHIP ONCE AGAIN. SEVERAL MORE CALLS WERE PLACED TO THE HEADQUARTERS AND FINALLY THE DECISION WAS MADE TO REPLACE THE O2 SENSOR. THE CAR HAS STARTED AND RUN EVER SINCE THE REPAIR, BUT THE IDLE IS MUCH LOWER THAN IT WAS ON ORIGINAL RECEIPT OF THE VEHICLE, AND THE ENGINE AT IDLE SPEEDS IS MUCH LOUDER AND SOUNDS LABORED. ONCE WINTER COMES I FEAR THE PROBLEM WILL REAPPEAR. THE FUTURE OF THE VEHICLE'S PERFORMANCE IS UNKNOWN. POSSIBLE SAFETY COMPROMISE. *JB
THE LIGHTS ON THE CONSOLE KEEPS POPPING ON. FIRST IT WAS THE AIR BAG LIGHT THAT TOOK 4 UNSUCCESSFUL VISITS TO THE DEALER. THAT PROBLEM SUBSIDED? AND NOW THE ENGINE LIGHT IS POPPING ON... *NM
INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISON ON APRIL 18 2005 AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY HAVE CALLED AND EMAILS MAZDA ABOUT THIS AND THEY WILL NOT HELP ME. THE CAR WAS IN THE SHOP PRIOR TO THE ACCIDENT FOR THE AIR BAG LIGHTS FLASHING. I WAS TRAVING AT 25 TO 30MPH AND THE OTHER CAR ( THERE FAULT ) WAS GOING ABOUT 20MPH. I SUFFERD HEAD, BACK, GROIN INJURYS. I VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE WAY MAZDA IS TREATING ME ON THIS!!!
SIRR OR MISS, I LIVE IN HOLLAND AND I HAVE AN QUESTION ABOUT AN MAZDA 3 1.6V EXECUTIVE SEDAN(EUROPEAN MODEL). AFTER THE FIRST OIL CHANGE THE ENGINE BEGINS TO MAKE A LOUD NOISE. IN THE THIRD GEAR IT BEGINS ABOUT 70 KM/H. ALLSO IN THE FOURTH GEAR THE SAME PROBLEM THAT BEGINS ABOUT 100KM/H. THE ENGINE IS A BIT SHAKING IN NEUTRAL (FREE) GEAR. WHEN I DRIVE ABOUT 80KM/H IN THE FOURHT SHIFT (THAN NORMAL NOISE) AND LET THE FEET OF THE GASPEDAL THAN THE SAME LOUD NOISE I HEAR. I HAVE DRIVE IN TWO OTHER MAZDAS WITHE THE EXACT SAME ENGINE WITH NO TROUBLE AT ALL!! THE GARAGE(DEALERS) CAN,T FIND ANYTHING. AND I THINK THAT MABY DE MAZDA IMPORTEUR WONT HELP US ANY FEARTHER. I AM COMPLAIN NOW EVRYWHERE ON MORE AND MORE WEBSITES OF ALL COUNTRYS IN EUROPE ,WHAT IS BAD FOR THE MAZDA COMPANY. PLEASE HELP ME FOR AN SOLUTION OPHUIS
1.WHEN ADJUSTED DRIVER'S POWER SEAT CONTINUES TO MOVE FORWARD EVEN AFTER ADJUSTMENT SWITCH IS RELEASED, RESULTING IN A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS UNINTENDED AND UNCONTROLLABLE DRIVING POSITION FOR THE DRIVER.*AK 2.WHILE IN THE 'NEUTRAL' POSITION, THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFT LEVER IS TOO EASILY MOVED UINTENTIONALLY INTO THE REVERSE POSITION RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE ABRUPTLY AND DANGEROUSLY REVERSING ITS POSITION AND MOVING REARWARD UNINTENTIONALLY AND WITHOUT WARNING. THE GEAR SELECTOR 'GATE DESIGN' IS FAULTY.
I AM GETTING 13MPG ON A MAZDA3. COMPANY IS UNABLE OR UNWILLING TO REPAIR. BRAKES NEEDED SERVICE AT 12 AND 20,000 MILES. ONLY 20,000 MILES IN 4 YEARS. ALWAYS FEELING OF DRAGGING AND THEY CLAIM NO BRAKE OR OTHER PROBLEM. *TR
CONSUMER PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, SHORTLY THEREAFTER ALL FOUR TIRES STARTED TO WEAR. THE TIRES HAD TO BE REPLACED AT THE CONSUMER'S EXPENSE OF $700.00. THE TIRE DEALER STATED THE WEAR WAS NORMAL, AND HAD TO BE REPLACED WITH THE SAME ORIGINAL TIRE HE WAS REMOVING FROM THE VEHICLE. CONSUMER NOTICED ALL OF THE TIRES HAD BUBBLES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE DRIVER'S, AND THEY ALSO NEED TO BE REPLACED. THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOUND.*AK
ON DECEMBER 20, 2004, I TRIED TO CRANK MY NEW 2004 RX-8 TO GO TO WORK. IT WAS 19 DEGREES OUTSIDE. THE CAR WOULD NOT CRANK. IT HAD BEEN SITTING FOR 2 DAYS OVER THE WEEKEND. UNFORTUNATELY, I TOOK IT OUT OF GEAR AND DID NOT PLACE IT BACK IN. WHEN I GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND WENT INSIDE, IT ROLLED, HITTING A TREE CAUSING $3800 DOLLARS WORTH OF DAMAGE. THE TREE WAS HIT VERY HARD AND THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. APPARENTLY, THIS CAR "SUPPOSEDLY" WAS RECALLED AND FIXED WHILE STILL OWED BY THE MAZDA DEALERSHIP ACCORDING TO THEIR RECORDS. HOWEVER, AFTER HAVING IT TOWED INTO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, IT HAD NOT BEEN FIXED. I WAS NEVER TOLD OF ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS OR RECALLS PRIOR TO THE PURCHASE OF THE CAR. *AK
MAZDA 3SP P205/50 ALL SEASON GOOD YEAR EAGLE RSA TIRES VERY POOR TIRE TRACTION ON WET & SNOW CONDITIONS TIRE TREADS SEEM TO WEAR OUT QUICKLY. *JB
MY MAZDA3 IS 4 MONTHS OLD AND I HAVE BEEN TOWED 2 TIMES IN THE LAST 3 DAYS. BOTH TIMES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON FIRST, THEN THE ENGINE STARTED RUNNING ROUGH AND THEN I LOST ACCELERATION POWER AND COULD ONLY GO A FEW MILES AN HOUR TO PULL OVER. THE SECOND TIME IT HAPPENED WAS WITHIN 2 MILES OF THE DEALERSHIP AFTER I HAD PICKED IT UP FROM "GETTING FIXED"--THE THROTTLE BODY WAS REPLACED. NOW THEY ARE TELLING ME IT WAS BECAUSE I WAS "LOW ON GAS" (UNDER 1/4 TANK). PRIOR TO THIS I WAS HAVING HESITATIONS AT 30 MILES AN HOUR--MOST NOTICABLE WHEN ENGINE WAS COLD. THE DEALER COULD NEVER NOTICE THE PROBLEM DESPITE MY BRINGING IT FOR SERVICE 2 TIMES. ? IF THE PROBLEMS ARE ALL RELATED OR NOT.*AK
THE VEHICLE HYDROPLANED AND HAD A HEAD ON COLLISION WITH TREES. BACK AND SIDE DOORS WERE DENTED INTO THE CAR AND WINDOWS SHATTERED. THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. *TC *SC
CONSUMER WAS DRIVING AND WHILE ADJUSTING THE RADIO VEHICLE WENT DOWN A 6 FOOT EMBANKMENT AND ROLLED OVER. UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. VEHICLE WAS TOTALLED. *AK *TC
AFTER DRIVING 45 MPH ON BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY FOR AT LEAST 3 HOURS, I WAS EXITING ONTO A MAJOR HIGHWAY. WHEN I STEPPED ON THE GAS, I HAD A LOSS OF POWER THAT ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. COULD NOT EASILY RECREATE THE PROBLEM, SO I DID NOT GO TO THE DEALER ABOUT IT. *NM
HEADLIGHT CASING HAS ALWAYS ALLOWED MOISTURE AND CONDENSATION TO BUILD UP INSIDE OF THEM SINCE THE FIRST YEAR WE BOUGHT THE VEHICLE IN 2004. WE WERE ALWAYS TOLD BY MAZDA BAKERSFIELD THAI WAS A KNOWN DEFECT BUT NOT ANYTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. WE CONSTANTLY HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE HEADLIGHT BULBS OVER THE YEARS. SOMETIMES THEY WOULD LAST SEVERAL MONTHS BUT ALWAYS THEY WOULD BURN OUT. IT WAS NOT UNTIL THE HEADLAMPS IN OUR NEW 2010 MAZDA 3 STARTED BUILDING CONDENSATION INSIDE DURING THE FIRST YEAR THAT WE AGAIN QUESTIONED THIS ISSUE. AGAIN WE WERE TOLD IT WAS A KNOWN DEFECT AND NOT A PROBLEM. IN NOVEMBER OF 2013 BOTH HEADLIGHTS ON OUR 2010 FAILED. ONLY THEN WE GIVEN THE TRUE INFORMATION THAT THE MOISTURE THEY ALLOWED TO STAY INSIDE THE HEADLAMP AREA IS WHAT WAS SHORTING OUT THE BULBS. THERE ARE MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS AND EVEN MULTIPLE SERVICE BULLETINS ON THIS EXACT ISSUE TELLING DEALER TO REPLACE THE HEADLAMP CASING. YET NO RECALL AND BECAUSE OF THAT AT LEAST 3SERVICE CENTERS WHERE WE HAVE TAKEN OUR VEHICLES FOR THE PAST 11 YEARS HAVE REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE AND REPAIR THE PROBLEM UNTIL NOW. NOW CONVENIENTLY THEY HAVE OFFERED TO REPAIR OUR VEHICLES. OF COURSE THAT'S TO E TUNE OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR THE 2010 ALONE. CONSUMER WAS DRIVING ABOUT 25 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION. UPON IMPACT, THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. *AK

CLUTCH SHUDDERS VIOLENTLY WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ENGAGE. IS VERY PRONOUNCED ON HILLS, INCLINES, AND WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ENGAGE CLUTCH IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION, IE, NEED ACCELERATION TO PASS, MERGED INTO TRAFFIC ETC. AS A RESULT, THE CLUTCH WILL FAIL TO ENGAGE PROPERLY AND LEAVE THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS IN VULNERABLE POSITION OF NOT BEING ABLE TO MOVE WHEN EXPECTING TO. IN ADDITION, THE CAR WILL ROLL BACK WHILE ON HILLS AND GET DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO VEHICLES BEHIND IT SINCE THE CLUTCH EITHER ENGAGES RESISTANTLY OR NOT AT ALL. *AK

REAR BRAKE ROTORS WARPED, GROOVED AND WORN BEYOND REPAIR AT 49,000 MILES. I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS MY DRIVING "STYLE" BY THE MAZDA DEALERSHIP THAT PROBABLY CAUSED THE EXCESSIVE WEAR. HOWEVER, THE FRONT BRAKE PADS HAVE PLENTY OF LIFE LEFT IN THEM AND THE ROTORS ARE SMOOTH AS CAN BE (I EVEN CHECKED THE INSIDE). MY CAR HAS A MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND MY WIFE AND I COMMONLY "DOWNSHIFT" TO CONTROL ENGINE SPEED. MY DRIVING STYLE HAS GIVEN ME LONGER BRAKING SYSTEM LIFE ON CARS I DRIVE AND HAVE DRIVEN. I HAVE ALWAYS NOTICED THE EXCESSIVE BRAKE DUST ON THE REAR WHEELS OF MY CAR AND ON OTHERS ON THE ROAD SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR IN MARCH 2004, AND THOUGHT IT ODD SINCE MOST BRAKING IS DONE BY THE FRONT WHEELS. I HAVE SPENT MANY HOURS CLEANING THE BRAKE DUST FROM MY REAR WHEELS, SO I KNOW. UNFORTUNATELY, IT NEVER CLICKED IN MY HEAD THAT THE BRAKE ROTORS WERE BEING CARVED UP. 2004 MAZDA 3 PASSENGER SEAT BELT MALFUCTION. MY MAZDA 3 SEAT BELT LOCKING MECHANISM FAIL TO RELEASE.
ALL 4 EAGLE RS A P205 GOODYEAR TIRES ON MY 2004 MAZDA 3 4 DOOR SEDAN ARE DEFECTIVE. ONE TIRE THE SIDEWALL TOTALLY CRACKED AND SEPARTED AND THE OTHER 3 TIRES ARE BEGINNING TO CRACK AND SEPARTE. I BELIEVE THESE TIRES ARE DEFECTIVE AND ARE A SAFETY HAZZARD. THE GOODYEAR DEALER HAS REFUSED TO RECTIFY THIS SITUATION. I KNOW THE TIRES ON THE NISSAN CARS ARE BEING REPLACED FOR THE SAME DEFECT. HOWEVER, I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT I WOULD NEED TO REPLACE ONE TIRE AND THE DEALER DID NOT CHECK THE OTHER 3 TIRES WHICH WHEN I TOOK MY CAR TO ANOTHER DEALER WHO SHOWED ME THE SEPARATING SIDEWALLS AND TOLD ME THAT THEY NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE TIRE LISTED AS THE ONLY OPTION FOR EAGLE RSA ON YOUR FORM IS P245. THESE TIRES IN QUESTION ARE P205 SO I AM NOT SURE HOW TO REPORT THIS DEFECT.
WHEN BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE A LUXURY SUV APPEARED FROM ONE SIDE, REQUIRING ME TO STOP SUDDENLY. HOWEVER, WHEN I PRESSED DOWN ON THE BRAKE PEDAL (ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR), THE BRAKES SEEMED VERY HESITANT TO RESPOND, EVEN WITH ABS. THANKFULLY THE CAR DID STOP IN TIME. MY CAR HAS HAD MULTIPLE PROBLEMS. I HAVE A MAZDA 3 WHICH I PURCHASED IN DECEMBER. ABOUT A MONTH AGO MY CAR BEGAN HESITATING ON OCCASSION WHEN I WAS STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT AND THEN PUSHING THE GAS TO GO. I RECIEVED MY VEHICLE BACK AND HAD TO BRING IT BACK TWO DAYS LATER FOR THE BERRING. THE BERRING WAS REPLACED AND I WAS SENT HOME AGAIN. THEN TWO WEEKS AGO WE WERE DRIVING THE CAR MY HUSBAND HAD IT IN NETTURAL AT A LIGHT AND PLACED IN MANUAMATIC THEN DIRECTLY IN DRIVE AND THE CAR MADE A LOUD SOUND THAT MADE US WONDER IF THE TRANSMISSION HAD FELL OUT OF THE VEHICLE. AGAIN WE BROUGHT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND AGAIN THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE IT AND DECIDED TO REPLACE A DRIVE MECHANISM THAT DEALS WITH THE ELECTRONIC SHIFTING OF THE VEHICLE. AT THE SAME TIME THEY REPLACED A RECALL PART THE O2 SENSOR ON THE CAR. THEN TODAY SEPT 1ST I RECIEVE A CALL STATING A NOISE THE DEALER HEARD WHILE RUNNING MY CAR THROUGH THE CAR WASH IS THE FRONT AXLES GOING BAD. I AM AT A LOSS AND FRUSTRATED AND THE MAZDA HEADQUARTERS TELLS ME THEY CAN'T NOT DIAGONOSE THE DEALERSHIP IS CAPABLE AND THE DEALERSHIP TELLS ME MAZDA HEADQUARTERS FOR REPAIR NEED TO ASSIST THEM. THE AIRCONDITIONER IN MY MAZDA 3 BARELY FUNCTIONS AT ALL. I HAD IT IN TO THE DEALER TWICE IN THE FIRST WEEK OF OWNERSHIP. THEY STATED IT WAS UP TO STANDARDS. WHEN I ASKED WHAT THE STANDARD WAS, THEY SAID IF IT COOLED AT ALL IT PASSED THE STANDARD. WITH THE AIR ON, THE CAR ACCELERATES VERY POORLY. WHEN THE GAS PEDAL IS DEPRESSED, YOU CAN FEEL SEVERAL STAGES OF JERKING AND POWER COMING ON AND OFF LIKE RELAYS ARE KICKING IN AND OUT. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO GAUGE HOW MUCH ACCELERATION YOU WILL GET WITH THE JERKING DURING ACCELERATION. I HAVE AN E-MAIL FROM MAZDA ACKNOWLEDGING A PROBLEM, BUT THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN OR IF THERE WILL BE A SOLUTION.*AK
THE A/C ON MY NEW CAR DOES NOT COOL THE CAR TO ANY COMFORT LEVEL.. I JUST HAD MY TIRES CHECKED AT 10,000 MILES DURING AN OIL CHANGE AT MY DEALERSHIP. NO PROBLEM WAS FOUND. I NOW HAVE 11,000 MILES ON MY CAR AND TIRES. MY TIRES ARE MICHELIN RADIAL XSE P215/50 R17. I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK AND WITHOUT WARNING MY DRIVERS SIDE BACK TIRES BLEW OUT. IT SEPARATED FROM THE TIRE AND THE CORDS WERE SHOWING. I AM CONVINCED THAT THIS IS THE FAULT OF THE MICHELIN TIRE BECAUSE OF THE TREAD WEAR AND THE MILES ON IT. I DID NOT HIT ANYTHING IN THE ROAD NOR WAS THE TIRE PUNCTURED. WHEN THE TIRE BLEW I WAS ON WEST BOUND ON I-70 TO DOWNTOWN INDIANAPOLIS AND WITHOUT WARNING I SPUN AROUND SEVERAL TIMES IN THE MIDDLE OF I-70 AND GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT AND HAD TO BE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL VIA AMBULANCE FOR NECK AND BACK INJURIES. MY MAZDA 6 RECIEVED 6,000 DOLLARS IN DAMAGE THAT I KNOW OF SO FAR NOT TO MENTION THE PERSON THAT I CRASHED INTO. MY INSURANCE WILL NOT PAY FOR THE TIRE BECAUSE THAT WAS THE REASON FOR THE ACCIDENT. I THINK MICHELIN SHOULD PAY FOR 4 NEW TIRES OF A DIFFERENT BRAND, MY HOSPITAL VISIT, MY DEDUCTABLE AND MY RENTAL CARE EXPENSE AND MY LOST WAGES. ALSO MY TIRE PRESURE WAS CHECKED BY MY DEALER AGAIN THE WEEK OF JUNE 27,2005. I'M VERY LUCKY THAT I DIDN'T GET HURT WORSE OR SOMEONE GETTING HURT. I STILL DON'T KNOW THE EXTENT OF MY INJURIES BECAUSE I'M STILL HAVING A LOT OF PAIN SINCE THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED ON JULY 4, 2005. IS IT ANY WONDER THAT THE F1 DRIVERS DIDN'T WANT TO RACE AND FACE AN ACCIDENT OR WORSE YET DEATH?
