MY TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT WAS ON, SO I PULLED INTO A CONVENIENCE STORE THAT HAS A COMBINATION INFLATION-PRESSURE CHECK MACHINE. I CHECKED ONE TIRE & HAD NO ISSUE. I CHECKED/FILLED THE NEXT TIRE & DIDN'T NOTICE AN ISSUE IMMEDIATELY. I WENT ON TO THE 3RD TIRE, AND HEARD A POP, THEN A HISS. ALL AIR WAS LEAVING THE TIRE. I THEN NOTICED THE SECOND TIRE WAS DOING THE SAME THING. ACCORDING TO THE TIRE STORE, IT WAS THE VALVE STEM PRESSURE SENSORS. THE TIRE STORE KEEPS THE PARTS ON HAND BECAUSE THEY ARE "SEEING A LOT" OF THIS WITH THE MAZDA 3S, THAT IT'S A "DESIGN FLAW" THAT HAS SINCE BEEN RECTIFIED ON NEWER MODELS. IF I HAD ONLY FILLED ONE TIRE & HADN'T NOTICED THE DEFLATION, AND THEN GOTTEN ON THE HIGHWAY, I COULD'VE BEEN IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT WITH MY SON IN THE CAR. THIS ANGERS ME: IF IT'S SO COMMON OF A PROBLEM, AND IT COULD CAUSE ACCIDENTS, WHY IS THERE NO RECALL?? *TR
AFTER PUTTING AIR IN THE TIRES, I DROVE APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES DOWN THE ROAD WHEN THE TIRE LIGHT CAME ON. I DROVE APPROXIMATELY 1 MORE MILE TO MY HOUSE. THE TIRE WENT COMPLETELY FLAT DUE TO A BROKEN VALVE STEM. *TR

AT 70115 MILES, 3 OF THE 4 TIRES SHOW SEPARATION OF TREAD ON THE INSIDES WALLS OF BOTH FRONT TIRES AND RIGHT REAR TIRE...IS THIS A DESIGN FLAW OF THE DUNLOP TIRE MANUFACTURER OR IS THE ISSUE WITH MAZDA DESIGN OF WHEEL PLACEMENT? *TR
OUR 2007 MAZDA S 2.3L 5 DOOR SEDAN BOUGHT NEW CAME WITH GOODYEAR EAGLE RSA 205/50R17 TIRES. WE MAINTAIN THIS CAR WELL AND REGULARLY. MARCH/APRIL 2008 WITH 28,000 MILES WE EXPERIENCED A TIRE FAILURE. THREAD SEPARATION, PROGRESSIVE HARD FLAPPING NOISE, AND AIR PRESSURE LOSS. TOOK IT TO GOODYEAR TIRE AND WE WERE TOLD THE TIRE FAILED, THREAD SEPARATION, AND ANOTHER TIRE TOO HAD SAME PROBLEM. WE BOUGHT TWO REPLACEMENT NEW TIRES. SEPT 2010 WITH 53,000 MILES THE OTHER TWO ORIGINAL TIRES ARE FAILING SAME MANNER. PROGRESSIVE LOUD FLAPPING NOISE AND PRESSURE LOSS. THE TIRES ARE WORN BUT HAVE PLENTY OF THREAD DEPTH, AND WE WERE TOLD AT GOODYEAR A MONTH AGO THEY DID NOT NEED REPLACEMENT YET WHEN WE ASKED. IT SEEMS THAT THESE TIRES IN THIS VEHICLE ARE FAILING RATHER THAN WEARING OUT. SO, I'M NOW OFF TO GOODYEAR TO BUY 2 NEW TIRES AGAIN! *TR
LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON. FOUND VALVE STEM CRACKED AND LEAKING AIR FROM ITS SIDE. HAS HAPPENED TO TWO DIFFERENT VALVE STEMS. SOUTHERN CAR NEVER EXPOSED TO SALT. VALVE STEMS LOOK NEW. TIRE STORE CHARGES OVER $200 TO REPLACE EACH ONE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MAZDA MAZDA3. THE CONTACT STATED THAT BOTH REAR TIRES WERE CONTINUOUSLY BEING WEARING PREMATURELY AND COULD NOT BE ALIGNED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PERFORMING AS MANUFACTURED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED WHO OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE TIRES WERE CHANGED AT LEAST SIX TIMES TO NO AVAIL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.
I BOUGHT A MAZDA 3, 2.3L WHICH HAD THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURE TIRES WHICH ARE GOODYEAR RS A P205/50R17 DOT V4H4 4MBR 2906 V2589 WHICH GAVE ME A SCARE SINCE WHILE I WAS DRIVING. A PIECE OF TREAD FROM MY FRONT RIGHT CAME OFF.TOOK THE CAR TO HAVE THEM REPLACE. THEY DID A DIAGNOSTIC TO SEE ID THE CAR WAS OFF BALANCE, BUT EVERYTHING WAS FINE. ALSO THE TIRE SHOWN GREAT DEAL OF DAMAGE SPECIALLY ON THE INSIDE OF IT. I AM CONCERN IF SOMEONE ELSE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THIS TIRES. SINCE IN THE SHOP THEY COULDN'T FIND ANY WRONG WITH MY CAR REGARDING THE WEARING OF THIS. 3 OF THE 4 TIRES SHOWED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE IN THE INSIDE OF IT, YOU CAN SEE THE METAL. *TR
