TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA MAZDA3. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND TURNED ON WHEN IT SHUT OFF FOR APPROXIMATELY FIVE MINUTES. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE IT WOULD NOT START. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE RECURRED FOUR TIMES. AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE BECAUSE THE VEHICLE SUCCESSFULLY STARTED AFTER BEING TURNED OFF FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 14,700.
LIFTED PARKING BRAKE LEVER TO ENGAGE PARKING BRAKE, AND IT CAME UP WAY FURTHER THAN NORMAL WITHOUT OFFERING THE NORMAL RESISTANCE. AFTER THREE ATTEMPTS AT RESETTING THE BRAKE, IT ENGAGED NORMALLY. MALFUNCTION OCCURRED AGAIN TWO DAYS LATER, BUT THIS TIME, I COULD NOT GET IT TO ENGAGE SUCCESSFULLY EVEN AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS. DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE LEVER ASSEMBLY WAS INTERMITTENTLY STICKING AND REPLACED LEVER ASSEMBLY. TWO DAYS LATER, SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED AGAIN. CAR IS 9 MONTHS OLD, 13,500 MI. *TR
MANY TIMES BUT SPORADICALLY OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS MY MAZDA 3, WHEN COMING TO A STOP AND FOOT FIRMLY ON THE BRAKE WILL HAVE A SUDDEN SURGE IN RPM BETWEEN 1200-2500 RPM AND TRY TO ACCELERATE. SEEMS TO HAPPEN MOST OFTEN FIRST THING IN THE MORNING MORE OFTEN. BECAUSE I AM CONSTANTLY READY THERE HAS BEEN NO CRASH, THOUGH THE TIME RPMS REACHED 2500 I HAD DIFFICULTY STOPPING THE CAR, ON A FREEWAY ON RAMP WHERE SUDDEN DECELERATION WAS NEEDED. I HAVE FOUND THAT ONE PUMP OF THE BREAK ALLEVIATES THE PROBLEM IF THERE IS ROOM TO DO SO. *TR
ON 11/4, I WAS ON MY WAY TO MEET MY YOGA CLASSMATE FOR LUNCH AT 1917 BISTRO. THE RESTAURANT'S PARKING LOT WAS FULL. SO, I BACKED OUT AND CIRCLED THE BLOCK TO FIND ANOTHER PARKING SPACE. WHEN DRIVING ON LIVERNOIS I NOTICED A PARKING LOT THAT'S WHY I DECIDED TO GO BACK AROUND. I PULLED INTO THE FIRST EMPTY PARKING LOT WHICH I THOUGHT WAS BETTER THAN TRYING TO PARALLEL PARKING IN THE ONE SPACE ON THE STREET. SO, I TURNED INTO A GRAVELED PARKING LOT. I MADE A LEFT THEN BEGAN TO PULL UP TO THE PARKING SPACE BUT THE CAR ACCELERATED AND SMASHED INTO A BUILDING. THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP SO I SHIFTED THE CAR INTO REVERSE. THE CAR JERKED BACK WILDLY; IT WAS HARD TO HANDLE BUT I GOT THE CAR TO STOP. A MAN CAME OUT OF THE WIG SHOP. I WAS STANDING OUTSIDE OF THE CAR EXAMINING THE DAMAGE - WHITE PAINT FROM THE BUILDING AND A SLIGHT PUCK ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BUMPER. THE MAN LOOKED AT ME INCREDULOUSLY BECAUSE HE SAID THE IMPACT SHOOK THESHOP . HIS MOUTH WAS OPEN AND IT TOOK HIM A FEW MINUTES TO CLOSE IT. A WOMAN CAME OUT ALSO BECAUSE SHE FELT THE IMPACT IN THE SHOP NEXT TO THE MAN'S SHOP. THERE WERE NO WITNESSES TO MY ACCELERATION PROBLEM. I DID NOT REPORT THE INCIDENT BECAUSE I DID NOT SEE A POLICE OFFICER (IT'S DETROIT). AFTER LUNCH, I DROVE BACK HOME AND SENT MAZDA AN EMAIL. I HEARD FROM MAZDA FRIDAY MORNING. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER IN TROY. I SPOKE TO AMIR ABOUT THE INCIDENT AND TOLD HIM THAT THE CAR WAS ON ITS WAY INTO THE DEALERSHIP (BY THE WAY, I EVEN HAVE MY OIL CHANGE AT THE DEALERSHIP). WHEN THE CAR ARRIVED I RECEIVED A CALL FROM SCOTT BRYANT WHO, IN AN ACCUSATORY MANNER ASKED ME TO REPEAT WHAT HAPPENED DESPITE AMIR TELLING HIM MY STORY. HE WARNED ME THAT IT WILL TAKE ALL AFTERNOON TO LOOK AT THE CAR. SCOTT CALLED LATER TO INFORM ME THAT A FIELD ENGINEER WILL BE COMING IN ON MONDAY TO LOOK AT THE CAR. HE DID NOT OFFER ME A RENTAL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA MAZDA3. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE CONTACT ENGAGED THE CLUTCH AND FELT AN UNUSUAL POP UNDER HER FOOT. SHE STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED AN ABNORMAL INCREASE IN ENGINE RPMS AS IF SHE WERE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE WHILE IN NEUTRAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE DEALER ADVISED HER THAT THE ENTIRE CLUTCH WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. SHE THEN CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE CLUTCH WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND WOULD PROVIDE NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 33,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 35,000.
CRUISE CONTROL TURNS OFF WHEN GOING DOWN HILLS, EVEN SMALL ONES. I USE MY CRUISE CONTROL DAILY AND MY DRIVE TO WORK CONTAINS MANY SMALL HILLS. WHEN CRUISING AT 70, I GO DOWN A HILL. THE CRUISE CONTROL BACKS OFF THEN AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL, IT FAILS TO ENGAGE. ONCE I HAVE DRIFTED FROM 70 MPH DOWN TO 60 MPH, IT TURNS ITSELF OFF. I'VE HAD MY CAR 2 MONTHS AND THIS HAS HAPPENED 11 TIMES NOW. THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMS THERE ISN'T ANYTHING WRONG AND THE ONLY WAY IT CAN TURN ITSELF OFF IS IF I TOUCH THE BRAKE OR THE CLUTCH. I AM DOING NEITHER. WHEN ON A BUSY HIGHWAY, AND THIS BEGINS TO HAPPEN, THE PEOPLE BEHIND YOU GET VERY ANGRY. BESIDE THE FACT I HAVE BEGUN SLOWING DOWN WITHOUT MY BRAKE LIGHTS COMING ON. 2011 MAZDA SPEED3. NEW OFF THE LOT AND CLUTCH FAILS IN 30 MILES...SAME DAY! AFTER "REPAIR", CLUTCH AGAIN FAILS NEXT DAY, ~120 MILES. 2 CLUTCH FAILURES IN 2 DAYS OF USE, ~150 MILES. FAILED WHILE DRIVING. DEALER/MAZDA CLAIM "WEAR" ITEM...OUR FAULT! FIGHTING VIA LEMON LAW AND MECHANTABILITY. *TR
MAZDA3 REAR ENDED A MOVING TRUCK. MAZDA3 WAS GOING ABOUT 45 MPH AND TRUCK WAS NOT MOVING. UPON IMPACT, THE MAZDA3 IMMEDIATELY CAUGHT FIRE AT THE FRONT OF THE CAR. FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD TO EXTINGUISH FIRE. FIRE DAMAGED CAR. CAR SHOULD NOT HAVE CAUGHT FIRE.
LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL ON MY 2010 MAZDA 3 RESULTING IN ACCIDENT. ALSO THE BRAKES DID NOT OPERATE AS DESIGNED. WHILE TURNING A CORNER THE VEHICLE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND/OR LOSS STEERING CONTROL , BRAKES WERE APPLIED, VEHICLE BEGIN TO STOP BUT BEFORE STOPPING, IT TURNED AND RAN OFF THE ROAD CAUSING DAMAGE TO VEHICLE AND PROPERTY. THIS WAS CONFIRMED BY DRIVER, 2 PASSENGERS AND THE POLICE. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED. NOT SURE WHAT IS WRONG WITH VEHICLE. DAMAGED BEING REPAIRED AT THIS TIME. *TR
2010 MAZDA 3 EXCESSIVE TIRE WEAR. BOUGHT CAR NEW IN SEPT 2009. JULY 2010 THE CAR HAS 24,000 MILES ON IT AND ALL TIRES ARE WORN OUT IN PATCHES AND ALIGNMENT NEEDS TO BE DONE ON ALL WHEELS. KEN TOWERY CONSIDERS THIS "NORMAL ON MAZDA 3'S". I USE MY CAR FOR COMMUTING SO MOSTLY HIGHWAY DRIVING. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA 3. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE ALTHOUGH A PASSENGER WAS SEATED IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WEIGHT SENSOR WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE CONTINUED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE WAS FUNCTIONING AS DESIGNED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AGAIN. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA3. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH THE VEHICLE LOST POWER WITHIN A FEW SECONDS AND THE POWER STEERING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE STEERING FAILED AND THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED ELECTRICAL FAILURE WITH THE PASSENGER DOOR THAT COULD NOT BE UNLOCKED FROM THE INSIDE. THE SUNROOF BUTTON ALSO WOULD NOT SHUT THE SUNROOF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WHO WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE A FAILURE CODE; THEREFORE, THEY STATED THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER TOOK REPORT NUMBER 132669400. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,800. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 13,900.
THE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT CAME OUT ONE WEEK AFTER PURCHASING MY NEW MAZDA 3 IN JULY 2010. I FILLED THE TIRE WITH AIR BUT LIGHT WOULD COME BACK ON SEVERAL WEEKS LATER. TOOK THE CAR TO DEALER IN OCTOBER 2010 AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANY PROBLEMS. TOOK IT BACK TO DEALER IN OCTOBER 2011 AND NOW THEY FIND A BENT WHEEL RIM. REPLACED THE RIM AT MY COST -- OVER 350.00. 4 WEEKS LATER, WARNING LIGHT COMES BACK ON. I CHECKED THE AIR ON ALL TIRES AND THEY ARE FINE. MY MAZDA HAS ONLY 6,000 MILES ON IT. MAZDA CANNOT SEEM TO FIX THE WARNING LIGHT PROBLEM AND THEY BLAME IT ON CHANGE IN WEATHER TEMPERATURE! COMPLAINED TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAY TO BRING THE CAR BACK IN. I REFUSE TO PAY A DIAGNOSTIC FEE WHEN THIS IS CLEARLY A MAZDA PROBLEM AND THE CAR IS UNDER WARRANTY. I'VE OWNED MAZDA CARS SINCE 1993; THIS IS MY 6TH MAZDA AND I AM VERY UPSET. *TR
HEAT IS ALWAYS HOT. THERE IS NO TEMPERATURE CONTOL ON THE HEATER. *TR
CAR FAILED TO START. MAZDA SENT TOW TRUCK. TOW TRUCK OPERATOR WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR IN NEUTRAL. TOW TRUCK OPERATOR DECLINED TO TOW THE CAR AND SENT DRIVER HOME. LATER THAT DAY THE WHEEL LOCKED, POWER BRAKES FAILED AND DRIVER ROLLED INTO A DITCH. DRIVER TURNED OFF IGNITION, UNLOCKED STEERING WHEEL, BACKED CAR OUT OF DITCH AND CALLED MAZDA FOR ANOTHER TOW. THE CONSUMER STATED THE DAY OF DELIVERY, THE SALESMAN HAD TROUBLE STARTING THE CAR AND REQUESTED A TECHNICIAN MAKE SOME ADJUSTMENT TO THE IGNITION. THE WHEEL LOCKED AND THE KEY WOULD NOT START THE VEHICLE. AFTER THE ADJUSTMENTS, THE VEHICLE APPEARED TO WORK FINE. THE DEALER STATED THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START BECAUSE A CABLE WAS BENT, WHICH WAS PROHIBITING THE VEHICLE FROM BEING RECOGNIZED IN PARK WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START IT. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA3. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IDLE, IT WOULD LUNGE FORWARD AND THE RPMS WOULD INCREASE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT WAS FORCED TO PUSH THE SHUT OFF BUTTON TO STOP THE VEHICLE FROM MOVING FORWARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 14,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 600.
THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO TWO CARS AND ROLLED OVER AND NONE OF THE AIRBAGS WERE DEPLOYED INCLUDING SIDE, PASSENGER AND DRIVER. *TR
I WAS STOPPED WITH THE CAR RUNNING IN DRIVE AND STEPPING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL ONLY, WHEN THE ENGINE BEGAN REVVING UNCONTROLLABLY. THIS RESULTED IN INCREASINGLY HIGH RPMS, AND IT FELT AS IF THE CAR WAS ABOUT TO LURCH FORWARD. I ENDED UP TURNING OFF THE CAR, AND RE-STARTING IT. THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM THAT HAS HAPPENED A TOTAL OF 3 TIMES, EACH TIME WHILE IN A STOPPED POSITION. I PURCHASED THE CAR THE END OF MARCH 2010. FIRST OCCURRENCE HAPPENED PRIOR TO 6/3/10, AND THE THIRD, MOST RECENT OCCURRENCE, HAPPENED ON 8/26/10. MAZDA HAS INSTALLED A DATA RECORDER TO ATTEMPT TO RECORD THE PROBLEM, BUT NOW THEY WANT TO REMOVE IT BEFORE THE PROBLEM HAS RE-OCCURRED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA, MAZDA 3. WHILE TRAVELING AT 35 MPH, THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER REWIRED THE AIR BAG CONNECTION TO CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 17,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 19,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA 3. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATE SPEEDS OF 65 MPH, THE RIGHT PASSENGER TIRE BLEW OUT. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO INSTALL THE SPARE TIRE AND DROVE TO A TIRE FACILITY. THE MANUFACTURER OF THE TIRES ADVISED THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY A DEFECT AND OFFERED TO TAKE LIABILITY FOR 50 PERCENT OF THE REPLACEMENT TIRE. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA, MAZDA3. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH WITH A PASSENGER IN THE FRONT SEAT, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PERFORMING TO ITS SPECIFICATIONS. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO THE PASSENGER'S WEIGHT AS THEY WEIGHED 105 POUNDS. THE FAILURE CONTINUED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER. A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PERFORMING PROPERLY. THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT AND HAD BEEN ONGOING SINCE 2010. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. DURING THE SUMMER THERE WAS A TOXIC SMELL THAT WAS MAKING MYSELF AND OTHERS WHO RODE IN THE VEHICLE ILL. DEALERSHIP SAID THE SMELL WAS PROBABLY THE PURGE VALVE WHICH WAS NORMAL AND THAT BASED ON THE SMELL MY VEHICLE SEEMED TO BE PURGING MORE THAN OTHERS BUT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE. SUMMER OF 2014 THE SMELL BECAME EXTREMELY UNBEARABLE WHILE IN THE VEHICLE I WAS SUFFERING SEVERE NEUROLOGICAL SYMPTOMS, AND BURNING SENSATIONS IN MY EYES AND AIRWAYS. PEOPLE COULD SMELL THE TOXINS JUST BY OPENING THE DOOR. I NOTICED THE HEAT DAMAGE TO THE DASHBOARD AND CAME ACROSS ANOTHER MAZDA OWNER WHO BECAME ILL BECAUSE OF THE OFF-GASSING FROM THE PLASTIC INSIDE THE VEHICLE SO I RAN THE SAME TEST BEFORE TRADING IN THE VEHICLE. THERE IS A TOXIC LEVEL OF CHEMICALS INCLUDING FORMALDEHYDE. MY APOLOGIES TO THE OWNER THAT THIS VEHICLE WAS RESOLD TO BY THE DEALERSHIP, I HOPE YOU DON'T BECOME AS SICK AS I DID. *TR
2010 MAZDA 3 EXCESSIVE TIRE WEAR. BOUGHT CAR NEW IN OCT 2009. MAY 7TH 2010 THE CAR HAS 18,000 MILES ON IT AND THE REAR TIRES ARE DOWN TO THE STEEL BELTS. MY NET SEARCHING SHOWS THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM. HOW A CAR CAN HAVE ONLY 18,000 MILES ON IT AND HAVE DANGEROUSLY WORN TIRES IS BEYOND BELIEF. THE DEALERSHIP CONSIDERS THIS "NORMAL ON MAZDA 3'S". TIRES WERE WELL MAINTAINED WITH TIRE PRESSURE BY ME. MY CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT OR HIT A SIGNIFICANT ROAD HAZARD. CAR IS USED FOR MOSTLY STRAIGHT LINE HIGHWAY DRIVING. *TR
WHILE DRIVING SLOWLY THROUGH A COMMUNITY CENTER PARKING LOT, THE AUTOMOBILE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND DID NOT RESPOND TO BRAKING,RESULTING IN A CRASH INTO A BRICK WALL. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO REPAIRED THE LOCK. THE FAILURE OCCURRED AGAIN ON THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 15,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 25,000.
SMOKE CAME THREW THE VENTS OF THE 2010 MAZDA3 HATCHBACK AND THEN FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THEN FLAMES CAME OUT FROM HOOD. IT BURNED UNTIL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT PUT IT OUT. IT WAS NOT ABLE TO BE REPAIRED. *TR
INTERMITTENT FAILURE OF POWER STEERING PUMP WHILE DRIVING IN A STRAIGHT LINE AND WHEN TURNING. SMALL CORRECTIONS ARE NEEDED TO MAINTAIN TRAVEL WITHIN A LANE AND WHEN TURNING YOU CAN FEEL THE POWER ASSISTANCE DROP IN AND OUT GIVING A JERKY FEEL. THIS WAS A RENTAL VEHICLE. *TR

2010 MAZDA 3, 5 SPEED. UPON SHIFTING FROM 4TH GEAR INTO NEUTRAL, TO PREPARE FOR A STOP, FOOT WAS TAKEN OFF OF ACCELERATOR AND CLUTCH WAS FULLY RELEASED; THE ENGINE STARTED TO REV. REAR GLASS EXPLOSION ON 2010 MAZDA 3 SEDAN. MORNING 16 DEGREES F. APPROACHED MY CAR IN THE MORNING AND HEARD A CRACKLING NOISE. I THOUGHT THE SOUND WAS ICE. I STARTED THE CAR AND THE REAR DEFOGGER. AS I SAT IN MY DRIVEWAY ...APPROXIMATELY 30 SECONDS AFTER TURNING ON THE DEFOGGER. THE REAR GLASS EXPLODED WITH A LOAD NOISE. GLASS WAS THROWN INTO THE REAR PASSENGER SEATS. THE CAR IS 4 MONTHS OLD AND UNDER WARRANTY. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND THEY WOULD NOT REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY. I CALLED MAZDA CUSTOMER CARE AT 1-800-222-5500 AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS IS DUE TO OUTSIDE INFLUENCE (IE THE SAME AS IF A TREE BRANCH FELL ON THE CAR). HE INDICATED THAT I SHOULD EXPECT THAT THIS COULD HAPPEN IN THE COLD WEATHER. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT I SHOULD EXPECT THAT MY REAR WINDOW CAN EXPLODE IN COLD WEATHER. IF MY CHILDREN WERE IN THE REAR SEAT THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN POTENTIALLY SERIOUSLY INJURED BY THROWN GLASS. *TR
I WAS ADJUSTING MY REAR VIEW MIRROR ON MY NEW 2010 MAZDA 3 AND IT CAME OFF. WHEN IT CAME OFF IT BROKE OFF A CHUNK OF GLASS FROM THE WINDSHIELD. MAZDA REFUSES TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM! *TR
DRIVER SEAT FEELS LOOSE AND ROCKS BACK AND FORTH WHILE I AM DRIVING VEHICLE. I AM CONCERNED SEAT WILL NOT HOLD UP IN ACCIDENT. SAT IN SIMILAR CAR AT DEALER WITH SAME PROBLEM. *TR
THE DASHBOARD OF MY MAZDA 3 IS MELTED FROM THE SUN AND CAUSES GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD. IT BLOCKS VISION OF A PORTION OF THE ROAD. *TR
(2010 MAZDA3 5-DR WITH SUNROOF) WHEN SUNROOF IS FULLY OPENED AND DRIVING AROUND 35 MILES/HR, COMPLETE ROOF STARTS TO VIBRATE PRODUCING LOUD NOISE. I TOOK THE CAR TO A CAR DEALER AND TECHNICIAN NOTICED THE PROBLEM AS WELL. I WAS TOLD THAT THE CAR IS NEW DESIGN AND THAT MAZDA ENGINEERING RECEIVED A COMPLAIN. NO ACTION TAKEN BUT ADVISED TO PURCHASE A WIND DEFLECTOR. THE VIBRATION HAPPENS EVERY TIME I OPEN THE SUNROOF. *TR
WHEN THE TRUNK OR DOOR IS INADVERTENTLY LEFT OPEN FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME THE BATTERY IS TOTALLY DRAINED. THIS COULD LEAVE THE DRIVER STRANDED. IF JUMP STARTED AND BATTERY IS NOT FULLY CHARGED THIS COULD CAUSE INCREASED STRESS ON THE ALTERNATOR WHICH COULD LEAD TO COSTLY REPLACEMENT. *TR
BOUGHT A USED 2010 MAZDA 3 5-DOOR IN JANUARY 2013. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY ON MAY 18TH 2013 WHEN I SUDDENLY LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, I CUT OFF TRAFFIC TO GET INTO THE EMERGENCY LANE. NOTICED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT TIRE WAS FLAT, PUT ON THE SPARE AND TOOK CAR TO THE CLOSEST TIRE REPAIR SHOP (GOOD YEAR TIRE). TURNS OUT THAT THE TIRES TPMS (TIRE-PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM) SENSORS THREADS STRIPED CAUSING THE SUDDEN LOSS OF AIR PRESSURE IN THE TIRE. IRONICALLY THE SMALL LITTLE SENSOR THAT IS SUPPOSED TO PREVENT RUNNING ON LOW AIR PRESSURE WAS AT FAULT IN THIS TRAFFIC INCIDENT. *TR
