DASHBOARD IS MELTING AND CAUSES A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA 3. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A PORTION OF THE POWER SEAT SEPARATED FROM THE TRACKS. COCHRAN MAZDA OF NORTH HILLS (10855 PERRY HWY, WEXFORD, PA 15090) STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE POWER SEAT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 127,300.
MY CAR HAS 30,000 MILES ON IT. THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN SHAKING WHEN I WOULD BRAKE, SO I TOOK IT IN TO HAVE THE ROTORS AND PADS REPLACED. WHEN THEY REMOVED THE ROTORS, THE ROTOR HUBS WERE SEPARATED FROM THE ROTORS.
MAZDA RECALL I KEEP RECEIVING RECALL NOTICES FROM BROOKDALE MAZDA ABOUT THE SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT LIFTER LINK. I HAVE RECEIVED AT LEAST 4-6 OF THEM IN THE MAIL. WHEN I CALL OR USE A CHAT LINE I AM TOLD THAT THE SERVICE DEPT. WILL CALL ME BACK. YEA, RIGHT. I HAVEN'T RECEIVED A CALL, E-MAIL OR MAILER (OTHER THAN THE ONES TELLING ME THAT THERE IS A RECALL) WHERE DO I TURN TO NOW? MAZDA DOESN'T SEEM TO CARE!
I WAS DRIVING AND FELT THE CAR DOWN SHIFT ON THE HIGHWAY, AT LIGHT CAME ON AND SOME SORT OF TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON. RPM WOULD GO CRAZY SOMETIMES WHILE THIS HAPPENED. WHEN I GOT HOME AND PUT IT ON PARK IT SHIFTED REALLY HARD TRIED TO PUT IT ON DRIVE AND SHIFTED HARD. AS WELL SO I LET IT BE. I HEARD ABOUT THIS HAPPENING TO OTHER MAZDAS AS WELL PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS SUPPOSEDLY ITS A ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE.
2010 MAZDA3S GRAND TOURING, CONDENSATION ACCUMULATED IN HEAD LAMP RESULTING IN HEAD LAMP BULB FAILURE. THE COST TO REPLACE HEAD LAMP ASSEMBLY IS $2500.00 $250.00 JUST FOR THE BULB. THOUSANDS OF NOTED ON LINE COMPLAINTS WITH PHOTOS WITH NO DAMAGE TO ASSEMBLY BUT THE SEALANT HAS FAILED. MAZDA DEALERSHIP PARTS DEPARTMENT ACKNOWLEDGED THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE MAZDA3.
THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS IS NOT WORKING RIGHT THE LIGHTS ON THE IN SIDE OF THE CAR COME ON WHEN YOU GET UP TO 75 TO 80 MPH THEY START FLASHING.THE AIR BAG LIGHT LIGHT COME ON THE STEERING COLUMN LOCK UP A LOT OF TIME WERE I HAVE A HARD TIME GETTING THE KEY IN THE IGNITION
MY 2010 MAZDA 3 HAS A BROKEN DRIVER'S SEAT ADJUSTMENT. A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR THIS IN 2017, BUT THE MAZDA SHOP CLAIMS MY CAR IS NOT COVERED AND DID NOT REPAIR THE CAR.
THE CLUTCH FAILED PREMATURELY AT ~45K MILES. WHEN I WAS DRIVING, I NOTICED THE CAR WAS SLOW TO ACCELERATE AFTER SHIFTING. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC WHO SAID THE CLUTCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT IT WAS EXTREMELY EARLY FOR IT TO HAVE FAILED.
OVER TIME, THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD HAS BEGUN TO DEVELOP DEEP CRACKS. ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, THESE CRACKS ARE WHERE THE AIRBAG IS LOCATED. IT IS VERY CONCERNING, AS IT IS NOT CLEAR WHETHER THE AIRBAG WOULD FUNCTION PROPERLY IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THIS DEFECT IN THE DASHBOARD. THESE CRACKS HAVE BECOME WORSE OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS AND CONSISTENTLY SPREAD.
ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASION THAT WERE SEVERAL MONTHS APART FROM ONE ANOTHER, MY VEHICLE HAS SHUT OFF WHILE I HAVE BEEN DRIVING. ON BOTH OCCASIONS I DID NOT TOUCH THE KEY IN THE IGNITION IN ANY WAY. THERE WERE NO BUMPS OR DRASTIC CHANGES IN THE DRIVING CONDITIONS. THE STEERING ON THE VEHICLE LOCKED UP AND I HAD TO HURRY TO GET IT START AGAIN. BOTH INCIDENTS I WAS ACTIVELY DRIVING ON CITY STREETS. I WAS ON A 45 MPH ROAD THE FIRST TIME AND A 35 MPH ROAD THE SECOND TIME. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT CAUSED THE ISSUE BUT IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE FOR NO APPARENT REASON AT ALL. THE LAST TIME THAT IT OCCURRED, I WAS JUST COMPLETING A TURN.
TAKATA RECALL, I GOT A POSTCARD IN THE MAIL STATING THAT MY CAR MAY HAVE HAD AN AIRBAG SETTLEMENT. NO ACCIDENT HAPPENED, I AM LETTING YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON. THANKS
AIRBAG NOTICE FLASHES ON CAR. THIS IS A SAFETY DIVICE THAT SHOULD BE MAZDA COMPANY TO MAKE SURE THE DRIVING MEETS SAFETY GUIDELINES. THE HANDBOOK TEARS THAT IF LIGHT COMES ON IT IS AN INDICATION THAT THE AIRBAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY IN A ACCIDENT. I SPOKE WITH MAZDA CORPORATION THAT INFORMED ME THAT TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM IS MY RESPONSIBILITY. I GUESS IT WILL TAKE DEATH OR INJURY FOR ACTION TO BE TAKEN. I INFORMED THEM IF THIS HAPPENS THERE WILL BE A LAW SUIT. CAN YOU HELP.
TAKATA RECALL; I HAVE REQUESTED THIS RECALL BE HONORED AND WAS JUST TOLD BY THE LOCAL MAZDA DEALER THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT AND THERE ARE NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE AND POTENTIALLY DEADLY AIRBAG. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE RECALL CONCERN. WHAT CAN I DO IF ANYTHING TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE?
TAKATA RECALL I JUST WANT MY CAR TO BE INSPECTED AND MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS OK, SOMETIMES THE BELT GETS STUCK
I TOOK MY 2010 MAZDA3 IN FOR RECALL OF SEAT LINK ADJUSTERS AND TO SERVICE MY MELTING DASHBOARD THAT CAUSES AN UNSAFE GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD WHILE DRIVING IN SUNNY CONDITIONS. THE DEALERSHIP VERIFIED THE RECALL AND SERVICE IN MAY 2017 AND WAS INFORMED THAT PARTS WILL NEED TO BE ORDERED. WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD RECEIVE A CALL BACK IN A WEEK OR TWO. AFTER SEVERAL REPEATED ATTEMPTS AT CALLING AND EMAILING THE DEALERSHIP, I CANNOT REACH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO CHECK ON THE STATUS OF ORDERED PARTS. THE TIME FRAME FOR THE REPAIR FROM THE UNSAFE CONDITIONS OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT THAT MOVES WHILE I SHIFT, AND THE HORRENDOUS GLARE FROM THE MELTING DASHBOARD, IS TO SLOW FOR RESOLUTION. IT HAS BEEN 3 MONTHS SINCE HAVING MY CAR INSPECTED AT ROSENTHAL MAZDA/GAITHERSBURG MAZDA AT 625 NORTH FREDERICK AVENUE IN GAITHERSBURG, MD 20879. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE OF COMMUNICATIONS INFORMING ME OF THE STATUS OF GETTING MY CAR REPAIRED OR MY RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER.
THE DASH BOARD IS MELTING AND CAUSING PROBLEM SEEING. I RECEIVED A LETTER A WHILE BACK STATING THERE WAS ISSUES WITH THE DASH BOARDS BECOMING STICKY OR MELTING MINE HAS JUST STARTED DOING THIS AND ITS MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE ON REALLY SUNNY DAYS FROM THE GLARE THAT IT REFLECTS ON THE WINDSHIELD ON THE DRIVER SIDE. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS I CALLED MAZDA ABOUT IT AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING THEY WAS GONNA DO ABOUT THIS ISSUE. I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW THEY CAN NOT FIX IT WHEN ITS CAUSE OF THE DASHBOARD THEY PUT IN THE CARS. THIS IS NOT ONLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE BUT ALSO COULD RISK PEOPLE LIVES. I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPEN AND ONLY GETTING WORSE AS TIME GOES ON I DONT HAVE A CERTAIN DATE SO I JUST PICKED ONE BELOW
BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL WENT SOFT(HAD TO PUMP)BRAKE PEDAL FOR TEMPORARY(NORMAL) PEDAL TRAVEL(FEEL). MAZDA GARAGE STATED HYDRAULIC ABS UNIT BAD. ALSO NO WANING LIGHTS LIT ON DASHBOARD. MECHANIC STATED YAW CODE WAS THROWN IN CODE READER. STATED OLD CODE. I REPLACED THE ABS HYDRAULIC UNIT AT THE MAZDA DEALERSHIP. NOW THERE IS A DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL LIT ON THE DASHBOARD. THE ABS WAS WORKING THE NIGHT BEFORE (SNOW ON THE GROUND) AND NO STEADY LIGHT LIT. JUST FLASH WHEN IT ACTIVATED. ABS HYDRAULIC UNIT REPLACED 12-27-2017
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA 3. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE ABS SENSOR TRACTION CONTROL AND BRAKE LIGHT INDICATORS ILLUMINATED WITHOUT WARNING. PEARSON MAZDA OF HENRICO, VA 23294 WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND STATED THAT THE ABS HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT WAS FAULTY AND COULD CAUSE A FUTURE LOSS OF BRAKING FUNCTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 87,000.
THERE WAS A POP I FELT IN MY BACK AS I WAS DRIVING (JULY 2017) I NEVER THOUGHT MUCH OF IT AT THE TIME. DUE TO MY WORK, I HAD MY VEHICLE MAINTENANCE MANY DIFFERENT MAZDA DEALERSHIPS. I HAVE HAD MY DASH REPLACED (WESCOTT, NATIONAL CITY, CA) BUT NO ONE MENTIONED THE SEAT PROBLEM THAT I CAN RECALL. NOW IT IS DECEMBER 2020 AND THE ENTIRE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SEAT HAS BROKEN? WHILE DRIVING I SIT ASKEW THE RIGHT HALF OF MY BODY IS LOWER THAN THE OTHER. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR ANOTHER SEAT WHEN THIS WAS AN ACTIVE RECALL NO MATTER THE DELAY.

THE CONTACT CALLED A LOCAL DEALER (MAZDA OF KNOXVILLE LOCATED AT 8814 KINGSTON PIKE, KNOXVILLE TN 37923) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE REMEDY PARTS WERE ON BACKORDER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,000.
AT LIGHT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ARE ON. CAR HAS SHIFT ISSUE. IT CAN'T GO HIGHER SPEED EVEN I PUSH THE GAS PEDAL. IT HAS CLUTCH SOUND EVERY TIME I SHIFT THE GEAR STICK. MY CAR IS AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. IT HAPPENS RIGHT AFTER I START THE CAR. AND THE ISSUE CONTINES ALL THE TIME.
THE CAR WILL INTERMITTENTLY NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK DUE TO THE SHIFT LOCK NOT RELEASING PROPERLY, AND THE STOP LIGHTS AND HORN ARE NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY AS WELL. THIS SEAMS TO BE TYPICAL OF THE MAZDA3'S DUE TO THE HORN SHORTING THE FUSE AND THE BRAKE SWITCH GOING BAD, AND DEFINITELY MAKES THE CAR MORE ACCIDENT PRONE. OTHERS SEAM TO REPORT THE CRUISE CONTROL FUNCTIONS STOP WORKING DUE TO THE SAME FUSE BEING USED FOR STOP LIGHTS AND THE CRUISE CONTROL FUNCTION.
LOUD NOISE IN BACK SUSPENSION. NOISE OCCURS RUNNING HIGHWAY BUT GETS LOUDER ON A CITY STREET UNKNOWN CAUSE. WHEN TURNING VEHICLE STARTED CLICKS BUT NEED TO KEEP TRYING TO TURN ON. PROBABLY COMPUTER PROBLEM
"TAKATA RECALL" THE RED AIRBAG LIGHT NEAR THE MILEAGE HAS BEEN BLINKING FOR TWO MONTHS NOW. THE MAZDA DEALER MECHANICS CHECKED THE WIRING AND SAID THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING IT TO DO THAT. ITS STARTS BLINKING AS SOON AS I TURN MY CAR ON. THE OTHER AIRBAG LIGHT NEAR THE DASHBOARD WITH THE CLOCK DISPLAY IS STILL ON AS USUAL, NOT BLINKING.
MY DASHBOARD HAS BEEN MELTING CAUSED ME TO DRIVE OFF ROAD AND ALMOST TO HAVE ACCIDENTS NUMEROUS TIMES WHEN THE SUNLIGHT AND THE TRAFFIC LIGHT AT NIGHT REFLECTS ON THE DASHBOARD/WINDSHIELD AND BLINDS WHOS DRIVING AND U CANT EVEN CLEAN IT JUST WISH THAT IT WOULD BE RESOLVED BEFORE SOMETHING WORSE HAPPENS
Glare from sticky dashboard is a safety hazard. It is very difficult to see through windshield with this problem. Mazda dealer did not assist in anyway. Please assist me. Thank you
VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN A SECURED COMPANY PARKING LOT. WHEN I LEFT WORK, THE SUNROOF GLASS WAS SMASHED. THERE WAS NOTHING ON THE ROOF OF THE CAR. I THOUGHT A HUGE TREE LIMB MAY HAVE FELL ON THE CAR AND SOMEONE MOVED IT BUT THERE WAS NOTHING NEARBY TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED. I HAD THE SUNROOF REPAIRED AND FORGOT ABOUT IT UNTIL I JUST SAW INFORMATION ABOUT THIS HAPPENING ON OTHER CARS. REPORTING TO YOU FOR STATISTICAL PURPOSES. SUNROOF GLASS SHATTERED, VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY (PARKED), THE HIGH TEMP THAT DAY WAS 90 AND THE LOW WAS 72, NOTHING WAS ON TOP OF THE CAR (ROCK,TREE,ETC), NO KNOWN REASON FOR WHY THE GLASS BROKE.

THE LOCAL DEALER (ANTELOPE VALLEY MAZDA, 1015 SUTO MALL DRIVE, LANCASTER, CA 93534) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TPMS/VALVE STEM ASSEMBLY FAILED SUDDENLY CAUSING AN IMMEDIATE LOST OF AIR IN THE TIRE ON 2-LANE MARKED HIGHWAY(POSTED SPEED LIMIT 55MPH)
GOT INVOLVED IN A FENDER BENDER AT 50 MPH AND AIR BAGS NEVER WENT OFF. THE BODY OF THE CAR ALSO CAME APART SO QUICKLY I ENDED UP TOTALING THE ENTIRE VEHICLE.

THE CONTACT CALLED A LOCAL DEALER (DIAMOND MAZDA LOCATED AT 10968 AIRLINE HIGHWAY BATON ROUGE, LA 70816 225-295-3900) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THEY WERE NO LONGER IN BUSINESS AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTED PHONE CALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
ONE OF THE TWO ELECTRICALS BROKE LOOSE THAT'S CONNECTED TO THE BATTERY THAT STARTS THE CAR. MY CAR LITERALLY STALLED OUT ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. I WAS ALMOST HIT BECAUSE OF THAT. ANOTHER ISSUE IS MY RIGHT BACK TIRE. ONE OF THE LUG NUTS WON'T COME OFF AND THAT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO MY TIRE, I'M NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO GET A NEW TIRE TO REPLACE THE OLD ONE. ANOTHER ISSUE IS THE LIGHT ON THE CEILING OF MY CAR BROKE. THE WIRES ARE EXPOSED. MY DASHBOARD IN MY CAR IS ALSO MELTING.
THE SEAT ADJUSTER ON MY 2010 SGT MAZDA3 BROKE ONE DAY AS I WAS GETTING IN, AND NOW THE SEAT MOVES EVERY TIME I BRAKE OR ACCELERATE. I TOOK THIS TO THE DEALER AND THE TECHNICIAN CONFIRMED THAT IT IS THE EXACT SAME ISSUE AS NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V082000. HOWEVER, BECAUSE MY SPECIFIC VIN ISN'T CAPTURED, THEY WANTED $1000 (AFTER DISCOUNT FROM CORPORATE CUSTOMER SERVICE) TO FIX IT. I FEEL THAT GIVEN THE DEALER TECHNICIAN CONFIRMED IT IS THE EXACT SAME ISSUE, THE RECALL SHOULD BE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE MY VIN AND THOSE SIMILAR.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
ABS LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY WHEN DRIVING. DSC (STABILITY CONTROL) LIGHT ALSO COMES ON, SINCE IT RELIES ON ABS WORKING TO BE EFFECTIVE. IN THIS MODE, HYDRAULIC BRAKE FUNCTIONS REMAIN, BUT SAFETY IS REDUCED WITHOUT ABS ACTIVE: DIRECTIONAL CONTROL IN A SKID IS NOW NON-EXISTENT, AND EMERGENCY SWERVES CAN BECOME WILD AND HIGHLY ERRATIC. THE CONTACT STATED SHE RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTIFICATION OVER 2 MONTHS AGO. THE DEALER ( FIVE STAR MAZDA 3068 RIVERSIDE DR, MACON GA, 31210) STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE FOR REPAIR TO CALL BACK IN A FEW MONTHS, WHEN THE CONTACT CALLED BACK IN JULY SHE WAS INFORMED PARTS WERE STILL UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED OR MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
RECALL PART FOR SEAT LIFTER LINK HAS FAILED. THE DRIVER SEAT SLANTS IN THE FORWARD LEFT DIRECTION AND ROCKS/SHIFTS EXCESSIVELY DURING SHIFTING. OVER 75 DAYS HAVE PASSED SINCE MY VEHICLE RECALL PART WAS INSPECTED BY THE DEALERSHIP. THEY HAVE STATED THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 60 DAYS, I CONTACTED THE CORPORATE WARRANTY DEPARTMENT FOR MAZDA. THEY SAY THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO EXPEDITE THE PROCESS OF REPLACING THE FAILED PART.
RECALL 16V-644 ISSUED SEPTEMBER 6 OF 2016. NOW, 8 MONTHS LATER, THERE ARE STILL 'LIMITED' PARTS AVAILABLE TO IMPLEMENT THE RECALL AND I AM UNABLE TO HAVE THE RECALL COMPLETED ON MY AFFECTED VEHICLE. I BELIEVE THIS INDICATES THAT MAZDA IS NOT RESOLVING THE RECALL IN A TIMELY MANNER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA MAZDA3. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT BUCKLE FAILED. THE PASSENGER ATTEMPTED TO UNFASTEN THE SEAT BELT, BUT THE BUCKLE FAILED TO UNLOCK AND FORCEFULLY SECURED THE PASSENGER. THE CONTACT HAD TO CUT THE SEAT BELT IN ORDER TO RELEASE THE PASSENGER. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA 3. WHENEVER THE BRAKE OR ACCELERATOR PEDALS WERE DEPRESSED, THE DRIVER SEAT MOVED OUT OF POSITION AND SLID BACKWARDS INTO THE REAR DRIVER SIDE SEAT. THE CONTACT LATER RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 17V082000 (SEATS) AND 16V644000 (STRUCTURE). THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CALL A DEALER. THE DEALER SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT AND THE MANUFACTURER'S NOTICE INDICATED THAT A LOANER VEHICLE WOULD BE PROVIDED; HOWEVER, IT WAS NOT AVAILABLE TO THE CONTACT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CALLED AGAIN ALONG WITH TWO ADDITIONAL DEALERS WHO WERE UNABLE TO PROVIDE REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS. THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN AS TO WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
FRONT LEFT SEAT SUPPORT UNDER DRIVER'S SEAT BROKE LOOSE, CAUSING ENTIRE SEAT TO TILT BACKWARD DURING ACCELERATION ON A CITY STREET. ONLY A FIRM GRIP ON THE STEERING WHEEL PREVENTED ME FROM LOSING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. ONLY AFTER SEARCHING ON THE WEB DID I FIND AN EXISTING RECALL FOR SEAT "INSPECTION". NO CONTACT FROM MANUFACTURER ABOUT THIS RECALL.
MY DRIVER'S SEAT ROCKS BACK AND FORTH AS IF A LINK OR SCREW IS MISSING. I TOOK IT TO KEFFER MAZDA IN HUNTERSVILLE, NC FOR THEM TO LOOK AT IT ALONG WITH MY STICKY DASH BOARD OVER TWO MONTHS AGO. THEY REPLACED MY DASH BUT STATED THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PART FOR MY SEAT. I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD GET IN TOUCH WITH ME ABOUT THE SEAT. I HAVE CALLED THREE TIMES SINCE AND THEY APPEAR TO BE IGNORING ME. THIS ROCKING HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT FOUR MONTHS OF LESS. SOMETHING JUST POPPED ONE DAY AND THE ROCKING HAPPENED.
GOT IN MY CAR, STARTED BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, HEARD A LOUD POP UNDER THE DRIVER'S SEAT, AND NOTICED THE FRONT LEFT PART OF THE SEAT WAS PULLING UP FROM THE FRAME BY AN INCH OR TWO. UPON CLOSER INSPECTION I NOTICED THE WELD THAT SECURES THE SEAT TO THE FRAME BROKE. I AM NOT A LARGE GUY (~170 LBS) NOR AM I ROUGH WITH THE SEAT. AFTER A BIT OF SEARCHING, IT SEEMS THIS IS A RATHER WIDESPREAD ISSUE WITH 2010 MAZDA 3S AND IT OBVIOUSLY A SAFETY CONCERN.
THE CAR WOULDNT PASS INSPECTION BECAUSE OF WATER IN HEADLIGHT. DRIED IT OUT. PASSED. GOT WET AGAIN. REPLACED THE LIGHT TWICE AND STILL DOING IT. OTHER LIGHT IS NOW DOING IT.
THE DASHBOARD HAS BEEN MELTING OVER A PERIOD OF TIME. IT IS GRADUALLY GETTING WORSE. THERE NOW IS A GLARE REFLLECTING ON THE WINDSHIELD THAT IS CAUSING ME TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT MY PASSENGERS AND MY OWN SAFETY. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE JUNE 1, 2017 AND TRIED TO CONTACT MAZDA, THEY NEVER RETURNED MY CALLS. THE PAPERWORK SAYS 2010 MAZDA3 DASHBOARD UPPER PANEL STICKY SURFACE WARRANTY EXTENSION PROGRAL-SPECIAL SERVICE PROGRAM (SSP)99 I HAVE NOT HAD THE REPLACEMENT DONE, I CAN NOT AFFORD THE OUT OF POCKET COST. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THIS PROBLEM.
I WAS DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE AT 11:30 AM, APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, 59F ON 3/29/17. I HEARD A LOUD NOISE (LIKE A GUNSHOT), AND SAW THAT MY SUNROOF HAD SHATTERED, AND GLASS WAS ON THE INTERIOR OF MY CAR, AS THE VISOR WAS OPEN (SUNROOF WAS CLOSED). I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND ASSESS THE DAMAGE, NOTING NO PHYSICAL HARM TO MYSELF, AND ONLY MINOR DAMAGE (PAINT CHIPS) TO MY CAR. I WAS NOT DRIVING UNDER AN UNDERPASS, AND WHILE THERE WAS OTHER TRAFFIC ON THE INTERSTATE, IT WAS ORDINARY TRAFFIC, AND THERE WAS NO CONSTRUCTION IN THE AREA.
MAZDA RECALL #: 0917B NHTSA RECALL #: 17V-082 WHILE CAR WAS OFF/STATIONARY, I SAT IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT AND HEARD A POP AS THE SEAT ROCKED BACKWARD. LOOKED UNDER THE SEAT AND SAW THAT TWO BRACKETS HAD SNAPPED. IT NOW FORCES AN UNSAFE DRIVING POSITION SINCE THE SEAT NO LONGER STAYS IN PLACE. IT LEANS BACKWARDS FREELY AND IS CLEARLY UNSAFE FOR DRIVING BECAUSE THERE IS NO SUPPORT WHATSOEVER FOR THE DRIVER. IT WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. I CONTACTED MAZDA FACTORY SERVICE AFTER HAVING A LOCAL SERVICE CENTER INSPECT THE PROBLEM AND THEY DETERMINED THAT IT IS NOT A PART OF THE RECALL. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENS AND HOW IT IS POSSIBLE THAT IT IS UNRELATED TO THIS RECALL.
I ENTERED MY CAR FIRST THING IN THE MORNING (AFTER A FAIRLY COLD NIGHT). THE CAR WAS STATIONARY OVERNIGHT SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY. I LOOKED OVER TO MY LEFT AND ON THE DASHBOARD OF THE PASSENGER SIDE, THERE WAS AN CRACK ABOUT 6-7 INCHES LONG ON TOP OF WHERE THE AIRBAG SITS. IN THE LIGHT, IT APPEARS THAT THE CRACK WILL SPREAD TO THE LEFT AND GROW SUBSTANTIALLY IN LENGTH/WIDTH. I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT THIS COULD POTENTIALLY BECOME AN INHIBITOR TO MAKING THE PASSENGER FUNCTION PROPERLY.
