TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA MAZDA5. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THE VEHICLE WAS PULLING TOWARD THE RIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THEY CHECKED THE ALIGNMENT AND IT WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT ALL OF THE 2010 MAZDA MAZDA5 VEHICLES PULL TOWARD THE RIGHT. THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 500.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA5 WITH TOYO M122 205/50P TIRES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVERS REAR AND FRONT TIRES HAVE FAILED. THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT TIRE DEVELOPED A LARGE BLISTER ON THE SIDEWALL. THE DRIVER SIDE REAR TEAR HAD A SCREW IN THE SIDEWALL. THE OWNER WAS NOT SURE IF THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY THE TIRES OR THE WHEEL DESIGN OF THE VEHICLE. MAZDA INFORMED HIM THAT THE DEFECT WAS CAUSED BY ROAD HAZARDS. THE TIRES WERE NOT REPLACED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 1228.
2010 MAZDA 5. CONSUMER STATES THAT SHE BELIEVES THE VEHICLE HER VEHICLE IS A LEMON *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED SINCE SHE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, SHE HAD TO RETURN IT TO THE DEALER TWICE FOR THE SAME SAFETY ISSUE; A DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMP. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN OUT OF SERVICE FOR 21 DAYS. ON JUNE 14, 2010 WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN. THE CONSUMER PICKED THE VEHICLE UP ON APRIL 17, 2010. ON JULY 30, 2010 WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE VEHICLE AGAIN SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN. THE FUEL IS CURRENTLY ON BACKORDER. *JB
SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN APRIL 2010, I HAVE HAD TO RETURN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP 2 TIMES (JUNE 15-JUNE 19, 2010 AND AUGUST 2 - AUGUST 20, 2010) FOR THE SAME SAFETY ISSUE: A DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMP. THESE 2 OCCURRENCES HAVE NOW ACCUMULATED TO 24 DAYS IN TOTAL THAT VEHICLE HAS BEEN OUT OF SERVICE IN THE 5 MONTH PERIOD OF OWNERSHIP.DATE OF 2ND OCCURRENCE! FRIDAY. JULY 30, 2010 DATE OF 1ST OCCURRENCE; MONDAY. JUNE 14, 2010 LENGTH OF REPAIR: TUESDAY, JUNE 15 - SATURDAY, JUNE 19, 2010: 5 DAYS ON MONDAY, JUNE 14, 2010 AROUND 7PM, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY ROUTE 287, DURING MY EVENING COMMUTE FROM MY WORK LOCATION TO MY HOME. LENGTH OF REPAIR; MONDAY. AUGUST 2, 2010 - AUGUST 20, 2010 - 19 DAYS ON FRIDAY, JULY 30, 2010, WHILE TRAVELING ON HIGHWAY ROUTE 80, THE VEHICLE AGAIN SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. DURING THIS INCIDENT, NOT ONLY WAS I ABOUT 80 MILES AWAY FROM HOME, BUT I WAS TRAVELING WITH 5 CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE! AT THIS POINT, I BECAME VERY CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY OF MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR! THE POSSIBILITY THAT AN ACCIDENT COULD OCCUR IF MY CAR LOST POWER AND ANOTHER VEHICLE IMPACTED THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE; OR IF I WASN'T ABLE TO PROPERLY STEER THE VEHICLE WAS EXTREMELY HIGH ON SUCH A BUSY HIGHWAY! AGAIN, ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2010, THE CAR SHUT OFF ON NJ RT 78 (65 MPH ZONE). IT THEN CONTINUED TO TURN ON & OFF DURING STOP & GO TRAFFIC. IT EVEN SHUT OFF IN THE CREDIT UNION DRIVE UP BANKING WINDOW!!! SINCE THESE DEFECTS SUBSTANTIALLY IMPAIR THE USE, VALUE OR SAFETY OF MY VEHICLE, OR THE DEFECT IS ONE THAT IS LIKELY TO CAUSE DEATH OR SERIOUS BODILY INJURY IF THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN. *TR
RIDING OVER BUMP OR ROUGH ROAD ILLUMINATES TSC (TRACTION STABILITY CONTROL) LIGHT ON DASH. THE LIGHT SHOULD GO OFF ON IT'S OWN, BUT DOES NOT UNTIL CAR IS TURNED OFF. AFTER RE-STARTING CAR, LIGHT IS NO LONGER ILLUMINATED. DEALER SAYS LIGHT MUST BE ILLUMINATED WHEN CAR IS BROUGHT IN. ALL MAZDA ON-LINE FORUMS ACKNOWLEDGE THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM. *TR
FLASHING AIRBAG LIGHT WHILE DRIVING. BUT IT DISAPPEARS BY ITSELF . DEALER AND MAZDA CUSTOMER SERVICE SAY THEY CANNOT CHECK IT UNLESS IT IS FLASHING WHEN IT IS AT DEALERSHIP. IT HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES TWO MONTHS BACK AND ALSO HAPPENED RECENTLY. UNFORTUNATELY WHENEVER WE TAKE IT TO DEALERSHIP THE FLASHING LIGHT DISAPPEARED. *TR
2010 MAZDA 5 PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON INDICATING THE AIR BAG WILL NOT DEPLOY IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT. PASSENGER'S WEIGHT IS 99 LBS. MANUAL HAS 66 LBS AS MINIMUM WEIGHT TO ACTIVATE AIRBAG. MAZDA USA AND THE DEALER HAVE BEEN CONTACTED AND ATTEMPTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO RECALIBRATE THE SEAT WITHOUT SUCCESS. ANOTHER MAZDA 5 AND 2 MAZDA 3'S ON THE LOT REVEALED THE SAME ALLEGED DEFECT. *TR
