TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 MAZDA 6. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS CHANGING THE OIL, HE NOTICED A HUGE RUSTED HOLE IN THE SUBFRAME. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL OR WARRANTY FOR THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GORDIE BOUCHER MAZDA OF JANESVILLE (2727 US-14, JANESVILLE, WI 53545, (608) 754-5511) WHERE THEY CONFIRMED THE CONTACT'S OBSERVATION AND RECOMMENDED THAT THE SUBFRAME BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 126,700. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 MAZDA 6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR HATCH WOULD NOT STAY CLOSED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN USE. THE REAR HATCH FELL DOWN ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS WITHOUT THE CONTACT'S KNOWLEDGE. THE VEHICLE WAS EXPERIENCING THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V644000 (STRUCTURE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.
AT 75,000 AND LIGHT DRIVING, THE CAR WOULD 'CLUNK' HARD WHEN IT SLOWED. THE DEALER TOOK 3 HOURS AND 500 DOLLARS TO FIX AN ENGINE MOUNT BOLT. ALSO THEY SAID THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. TWO OXYGEN SENSORS ARE OUT AND WANTED A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS MORE. SADLY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS LIGHTLY MAZDA 6 V6 2006 CAR! THE ENGINE MOUNT BOLTS WOULD HAVE BEEN HORRIBLE IF THE ENGINE FELL IN TRAFFIC. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 MAZDA MAZDA6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE LINING FROM THE ROOF OF THE VEHICLE FELL AND BLOCKED THE CONTACT'S VISION. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHERE THE ROOF LINING WAS GLUED IN PLACE.
