THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 800-222-5500. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO ESTIMATED TIME AS TO WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE PASSENGER'S AIR BAG LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF WHEN ONE 130 POUND PERSON SEATS ON THE SEAT. THE DEALERSHIP EMPLOYEE WERE RUDE AND TRY TO CONVINCE US THAT IS 'NORMAL DEPEND HOW YOU SEAT..' (THE WEIGHT LIMIT TO ACTIVATE SENSOR, ACCORDING TO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP EMPLOYEES, WAS 60 POUNDS, 90 POUNDS, AND 98.5 POUNDS ??? !!!). THE CAR HAS BEEN PURCHASED AS A NEW IN ONE ONTARIO'S DEALERSHIP AND IT IS DRIVEN AND REGISTERED IN ONTARIO (IT IS MY WIFE'S CAR). I THINK THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE SUBJECT OF A RECALL. *TR
